EHCS: Nemesis Class Scout Armour
The Nemesis is a take on a lighter form of the original EHCS frame. Intended for recon and scout units, the frame comes with lightweight armour, flexible and durable. The frame's helmet contains a varied amount of vision modes including infra-red, magnetic, low light and magnifications of up to 4x. Each individual lens is keyed into a central HUD system that displays information directly into the user's pupils.
Personality: Chipper and headstrong, O'Connor is more or less the smartass of the squad. If he isn't providing tactical coverage with his rifle, he's busy chatting up a storm and annoying everyone's ears off. He likes to make himself known, and isn't above noisy, loud partying or making really really bad jokes to try and lighten a serious situation.
Bio: Being the second youngest in the squad isn't lost on O'Connor. His experience in the Interum army was, safe to say, merciless, and being one of the top graduates from scout school has given him a little chip on his shoulder.
Before he enlisted, he was a runner. An athlete. Training hard for his high school's track team to maybe, just maybe, run a gold medal to bring up his ailing study scores. His stamina was amongst the best the school had to offer, though his speed was sadly lacking. He made up for it by training every day, keeping himself cheerful by listening to music or cracking jokes to his fellow athletes.
Then when his two best friends decided to enlist upon graduating, where else could he go? O'Connor followed right in their footsteps, and proved himself physically to be a pretty good navigator and marksman. After his basic training was through, he was selected to undergo specialist training as a scout and reconnaissance trooper. Obviously he did well in the physical department, but the mental stress slowly made him crack. The task of having to not only plan out a route but navigate it back and forth for one lone patrol, then sit there for roughly ten hours on watch while a friendly squad moved through wasn't something he could handle. Eventually he went AWOL, and was only found a week later, drunk off of cheap booze and spouting nasties to whoever got within range.
That was how he ended up at RO-36. A scout nobody wanted, with training that was woefully inadequate for the region. His verdict? Hopefully he'd annoy everyone here so much that he'd end up being sent home. The military life wasn't what he'd expected it to be.
