Boisterous: A loud exuberant man with a constant hunger to be admired. Being a narcissist he absolutely loves talking about himself and showing off his luxurious wealth and power to any who are able to listen.
Collector: Waldo is a collector of all the fine things in life; from paintings and sculptures, to tea-sets and beastkin. He’s extremely fond of all things that are his, but in exchange is quite immature and hostile towards those who don’t provide him with what he wants.

Background:
Waldo Maria’Shante Du Blanch is a proud nobleman, and is the current sitting head of the prestigious Du Blanche family. Renown amongst his peers as a rambunctious man with a huge appetite, and a lover of the fine arts, he’s not quite liked amongst nobility circles, but the amount of political influence he wield combined with the immeasurable wealth he owns makes him a presence which simply can’t be ignored.

According to rumours, Waldo was one of the key figures who drafted and supported the idea of Beastkin attending schools. His enthusiasm was so great that he offered himself as both a caretaker and an instructor to the lesser races. Despite his passionate actions, he perceives beastkin to be nothing more than pretty trinkets which would make a fine addition to his personal collection. No one really knows why such a selfishly arrogant man decided to propose equality of beastkin, but those who know him unanimously agree he has ulterior motives.

Personality:
Discourteous: Sharp tongued and highly critical of everything and anything around them, Kuon has an undeniable tendency to look down on those around them, and has no reservation against making a quick quip to make someone feel foolish or even insignificant. Blatantly frank and uncaring of the consequences of their own words, their only redeeming feature would be their relatively innocent looks, and sense of humor… even if it does come across as mocking and slanderous most of the time.

Competent: Kuon is highly competent in almost anything they attempt; from simple academics to household chores, they proudly boast that there isn’t much they can’t achieve once they put their mind to something. Unfortunately it usually takes awhie for Kuon to get serious about anything, and like most cats tend to spend their time lazing around unless something absolutely must be done.

Background:
It is not uncommon in Almaston for Beastkin to be owned and traded amongst the wealthier families. In Kuon’s case they were the product of two prestigious families wanting to breed their reluctant pets. Though when Kuon was born, neither of the families wanted to adopt the ominous black kitten with an eerie stare. Auctioned off and bought as a kitchenhand for the Du Blanche family, Kuon quickly showed a high aptitude in every task they were assigned, and quickly made their way up the ranks at the young age of eight.

Unfortunately being bossed around by a demanding child wasn’t received well by many of the other servants of Du Blanche, and Kuon’s relationship with the other servants of Du Blanche quickly became strained to the point they were ostracized from humans and beastkin alike. Despite they’re tragic little sob story, Kuon remained largely apathetic to the developments around them. Though the behaviour of their peers, and the irresponsible action of their parents have led Kuon to be quite sour towards fellow beastkin.

Kuon has absolutely no interest in attending the academy as they’re quite content with their occupation as a high ranking ‘maid’ to the Du Blanche family.

Kuon has absolutely no interest in attending the academy, as they perceive equality to be a luxury unworthy of beast-kind. Content with their role in life, Kuon would still be working at Waldo’s massive estate had their peers not nominated Kuon to transfer to the Rotting Wheel. While stationed as a servant to the beastkin students, they also serve as the live-in landlord when Waldo isn’t present.

Personality:
Compassionate: Be in due to her canine kin nature, or her being in general, Mila can be a very compassionate person when she wants to be. She is easy to trust others, which could also be a flaw, and she enjoys the company of others. Often there will be moments where she will procrastinate and just relish in the moments she spends with others even if they don't want her there. Due to her high level of compassion she does have a hard time recognizing when she isn't wanted and it often results in people having to just tell her to leave them be or what not. But rest assured, she will not hold a grudge and she will be back the next day to show you kindness. This can be a downside to her nature as well as others can take advantage of her. She can be mean when she needs to be but she often chooses to try to be happy.
Thrill Seeker Mila has often been called an adrenaline junky as she never seems to run out of energy at any point in the day. Well... except for when she wants to sleep which can be whenever she pleases. Mila often feeds off of things that most others would not want to do. She loves fun and bringing fun to others even if they don't want it. Often times she will get herself hurt or put herself in harms way by going after these thrills. She does not chase cars though.

Background:

Mila grew up in a small village on the outskirts of a large human village. The two villages never got along or so she grew up thinking and the humans virtually never came down to their village. Her villages was seen as a type of "shanty-town" compared to the large extravagant buildings and architecture of the human settlement. It wasn't until she was about 13 when a few humans started to make their way into her village. They seemed harmless enough but that would prove to change rather quickly. Her village consisted solely of her canine kin brothers and sisters and the humans treated them like dogs, literally. Seemingly barbaric in nature, a few of her friends were made fun of by the humans as they sought to use them for amusement or have them work more tasks. Luckily, Mila was not subjected to the abuse or harsh nature of the humans. In her small village everyone looked out for one another and each canine kin was equal. She was no royalty but she knew as a child what wasn't right.

Mila is being sent to the Academy to get an education and to try and make a difference for her people. She is going there due to the Academy being opened up to Beastkin now. She plans to further her education.

Her views towards humans have changed drastically. At first she disliked them but in her nature she wanted to like them just because they she didn't see how they were that different. She believes that there is good in all of us, human or beast kin, but it just takes gumption and reason to act on it. She does not hate humans, she just dislikes their attitudes and actions towards her fellow beast kin.
Mila aims to help change her village and the lives of those she came into contact with after she graduates. She doesn't know how she will do this as her parents know nothing as well, but she plans to learn.

Quiet: Yennifer can be very quiet and will often refuse to speak up for herself to avoid conflict. She will open up and be a tad louder around those who she considers close but even then it's not very easy for her. Enjoying the peace and quiet about her will often raise her voice in a simple tune. In conflict, Yennifer fades to the background and attempts to slip away being often successful at this. But if you're a friend and counted dear to her, the tiny girl will attempt to defend and most likely not be successful.
Curious: Her failing in her solitary and quiet life is her curiosity. She just has to know about something that's intrigued her. She will even come out of her shell if she is enthralled by this trait enough.

Background:

Yennifer was born to a pair of nightengale parents. Her father, Wren, made instruments while her mother, Yvonne played them and worked in a bakery. Born with two elder brother, Tytos, worked with her father. They lived in a small community of peaceful and quiet beastkin. It was a poor place, but everyone knew everyone. Most people got along though there were the more stubborn beastkin who were content to be unsatisfied in their life. Their family was well accepted and many younglings came to learn their music. So Tytos left the shop early with Yennifer each day to teach them instruments and such. Yennifer was happy enough living her quiet life and learning the different instruments and singing.

But it was not to last, Yennifer's mother fell ill. Wren fell into melancholy and passed away shortly after of a broken heart. Tytos was married shortly before their mother passed and with the running of his father's shop, he could not dedicate the time to Yennifer and his budding family. With a child already on the way, Tytos suggested that Yennifer go the Academy, knowing her mind was far more curious than what a sleepy village could give her. That the Academy could give Yennifer the more rounder knowledge she would need for a furthered career in music. Yennifer had reservations, being always wary of humans. She had not often been about them, and heard many a horrifying story about them. It most likely did not help that as a older brother Tytos had many a horror story to tell.

Personality:
Haughty: Despite being quite literally out of water, Nixie maintains the same attitude that she had in her own home surf. She carries herself to a higher standard and looks down on those who act in a substandard way - and that goes double for humans. Fellow kin she can sometimes make an exception for ("Beasts that frolic in the mud cannot be expected to be clean, after all") but humans displaying crude and poor attitudes have no excuse. She expects to be waited on or catered to and is quite particular about who she associates with. It never entered her mind that her attitude could be quite off putting.

Naive: The world underwater is quite different than the world on the ground. Despite her arrogantly regal status and attitude, Nixie is still quite clueless as to some of the more strange aspects of the above water culture. It's a point of embarrassment when she shows her lack of knowledge but her pride prevents her from realizing that she doesn't know nearly as much as she says she does.

Background:

With the rise and expansion of the humans it was only a matter of time before their sights were sent to the world underwater. Expansion, however, was not on the agenda but rather...sport. Humans had found the aquatic sorts to be something of a delicacy, or fun victims to toy with by catching and releasing them in unfamiliar waters. Nixie, however, saw little of this as she was fortunate enough to be the youngest daughter of the aquatic Bloom Dynasty. What started as an alliance of various aquatickin, sort of a united nations of sorts, became less and less 'varied' and more 'jellyfish manipulated their way into total control'. The Bloom Dynasty is on the outs, the last of a dying breed as more and more aquatic sorts either get taken to the surface or flee to deeper depths. Some, however, still maintain that the Bloom Dynasty is an institution that will protect the waters to the end.

Nixie was never the most popular, being known for her selfishness and the way she treated her retainers and servants (shocks from her tentacle strands that make up her hair were a daily occurance for those who annoyed Nixie); she was quite the spoiled cnidarian and constantly abused her position and 'untouchable' status. She figured that inheriting the Dynasty wouldn't be in her future so why not take advantage of her station while she could?

Unfortunately, after threats from hired help and the constant creeping encroachment of the humans, the King of the Dynasty came up with an idea to both save the Dynasty and teach Nixie some etiquette. Nixie was told she would be attending a surface Academy on a diplomatic mission. Nixie was not aware that this meant a school and the deception was not taken well. She has a hatred towards humans, especially those that consider seafood to be, well, food, and she's not above giving humans passing shocks from her hair.

Nixie has to make the most of a bad situation. Her attitude doesn't fly well on the surface and if she truly wishes to find a diplomatic solution to the fishing and pollution that plagues her home then that means putting aside her prejudices and upbringing. But old habits die hard, especially when they are being desperately clung to.

(Obnoxious):
Lapis can be a bit obnoxious, often having that meld into sarcasm. Often he will seem like a jerk, but that is only until he knows a person better. Then he will either be nice with streaks of friendly obnoxiousness, or he will stay the same or mare sarcastic to the individual.
(Good hearted):
He is really sweet when it comes down to people he cares about. He helps out anyway he can for his friends (the one that he has) and family.

Background:
Lapis is the only child of a gypsy (mother-jackrabbit) and a blacksmith (father-rex). His mother met his father when she was traveling with her gypsy family. She decided to stay and helped a farmer (trees-fruit-pear, orange, cherry, peach. Vegetables) she enjoyed the work and also would sell some of the cloth items she would make to earn her stay with the mixed village of beastkin. Eventually, his father noticed and fell for his mother. The two married and ended up with only one child, this is odd for rabbits. Lapis helps his family by fishing, helping jar fruits, creating cloth leather and metal goods, and taking a cart full of good from village to village to sell them. With that in mind, he doesn't care for humans...every time he goes to a human city he gets paid less then what the goods are worth and treated poorly. He has never dated, and only has one best friend. Unfortunately that friend is a gypsy so they only see each other when the group stops at their village. When he heard of the opportunity of education, at first he scoffed not wanting any part of the human traditions, but then he thought about how he could help his parents....how that would help them make more money. So he decided to go for it with the support of his parents.

Other: He is often wearing tight tan pants (with a hole for that tail), black pirate style boots (with a heel since his feet are angled), his earrings, and various brightly colored shirts (generally peacock colors since those are his favorite). being the son of a jack rabbit has lead to his more lean archer like build, however, he is a lot stronger then he looks due to helping his father with black-smithing. He is also a really good dancer..when he puts on performances he adornes a outfit and kohl around his eyes.

Personality:
Loner/stand-offish. Torao isn’t so much anti-social as possessing a strong desire for his own space. He can only stand people around him for a short span of time before he will lose patience with them and let his inner snark out; this will take the form of sarcasm or downright rudeness (he may actually grow to like some of his fellow classmates, particularly the younger or weaker ones (and his sense of duty may lead him to feel he has to defend them), but he’ll never admit it).

Curious. Torao possesses a seemingly insatiable curiosity about humans (although overlaid with a strong streak of hostility) and he will take risks that may seem foolish to gratify his curiosity.

Background
As warriors and leaders of their tribe of beastkin, Torao’s ancestors were a constant thorn in the side of the human regime – every few years some fresh oppression would bring them snarling out of their village, only to eventually be supressed by the Templers, although always at considerable cost. Their family was only permitted to live due to the fact that they kept the tribe united and, when not rebelling, were a powerful work force, a mix of farmers and hunters and loggers, capable of bring down many of the great wilderness trees that the humans needed for their never ending industry – if the family were wiped out, the tribe would disintegrate into a mob that would have to be liquidated and a healthy chunk of the human tax revenue would be lost.

After the last uprising the few remaining family elders counselled patience: simply wait, until the time was more opportune for them to seize their freedom. When the king’s decree reached the village, it seemed like the opportunity they had been waiting for – it was decided that one of the family would be sent to study at the Academy. When they graduate, they can use the knowledge gained to help the beastkin understand the humans and so negotiate better terms with them (or, whisper it soft now, reveal weaknesses they can exploit to end the human oppression and take a bloody revenge).

Enter Torao. As the second son of the leader’s three children, he was the perfect choice – trained as a warrior, he should have an eye for human weaknesses while being able to defend himself where his beloved younger sister (a mere cub of twelve) might struggle, and being the second son was less valuable than his older brother and heir apparent (and hence expendable).

With an age old creed of honour and duty to the tribe behind him, there was no consideration that Torao might refuse – and in any case, he’s curious about the humans he’s only ever seen from a distance at tax collecting time ( he was caught trying to sneak out to explore the nearest human town three years ago – he still burns with embarrassment when he remembers the look on his older brother’s face when he was dragged in front of a meeting of the elders by the guards); are they really the evil oppressors he’s been brought up to believe?

Other: Every warrior in his family wears a red collar around their throat – it’s a symbol of their enslavement by the humans and by tradition it will only be removed when the beastkin are free. If anyone tried to mess with it, or take the piss, he will do his best to beat the crap out of them.

Personality:
Warmhearted: Leda will appear as if she looks down on people sometimes. She doesn’t smile when not being talked to but she does have a habit of looking down at the ground. As well as her small amount of shyness. Leda is likely one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. Far too kind even. She won’t think about things like revenge if you hurt her. She’ll try to think of ways to get you to forgive her though she did nothing. Apparently this led to hatred from others though. If you’re mean to her, she will still greet you with a kind smile.

Optimistic: Leda seems to look at the brighter side of a lot of things. She loves to be happy and doesn’t want to be pulled down. It scares her. That’s why she does her best to appear as optimistic as she can. Well, not really appear as much as simply be optimistic. Most can’t tell that she is just by seeing her. Leda tries her best to make others around her happy and hopes that it pays off.

Background:
Leda was born near a seemingly beautiful lake called “Crowning glory”. It was a truly spectacular place. Her parents were both swans and swans are quite a rare sight nowadays. Most have them stay out of sight, staying put in the few oasis’s they can find. The village she lived in didn’t hold many people her age but even the kids that were there, she rarely spoke to them. Usually surrounding herself with her parents and trying her best to benefit them.

The kids in her town weren’t very fond of her. She was seen as rude and apparently they felt that she thought she was inferior to them. Acting as a “Goody two shoes” far too much for their liking. However, they still didn’t like her even when she was kind to them. They constantly picked on her, getting even worse as she smiled at their pranks and bullying. She simply went home and took care of her dear parents.

Leda wanted to make them proud of her. Leda’s amount of respect and admiration for her parents was very high. They were quite famous around the town. Her father was a man born into royalty. A higher up but he acted like he was nothing special. He constantly helped out around the village and made sure that everyone was happy. While being oblivious to the treatment her daughter was receiving. Leda’s mother, on the other hand was a fierce swan that often fought with humans. She was a warrior. Her mother won many battles and came back home with a smile on her face everyday. She worked as a blacksmith usually.

Leda decided to come to the school to hopefully make her parents proud. They always taught her things through books and private lessons but she wants to take care of herself more and not have to lean on them. Besides, she understands that she owes them. Leda does not have any hatred towards humans really. Her mother never spoke bad about them. She simply fought with them. Leda was taught that hatred was the same as evil and it would lead only to your own corruption.

For Leda, after she graduated, she wants to become a doctor. She wants to help others around her. Leda’s father has leukemia. He is a lost cause but he lives his life by caring for others. She admires him for this. Her father always said “What if evil doesn't really exist? What if evil is something dreamed up by man, and there is nothing to struggle against except out own limitations? The constant battle between our will, our desires, and our choices?” With this, he wanted her to not be held back by him. Her dream is to become a doctor for her parents to see and hopefully make them proud.

Ari, The Big Bad Wolf

Manipulative: Ari is surprisingly good at getting travelers to stray off their paths when they make their way through the woods. Well groomed and almost a playful size, most don´t seem to be able to think of the wolf as the Big Bad Wolf Ari introduces himself to be.
Cunning: If a few pretty words and a playful manner doesn't do the job, the wolf is not afraid to go other ways and it's clear that the 'big' bad wolf seems to have a whole lot more fun with the hunt, then the actual prize. Ari's deceitful way, along with his sly and trickster nature has managed to fit well with the other predators within the woods.

If there's a brief moment of free time you can find Ozzy sleeping or just laying around. He does get enough sleep but he loves it so much that he sleep when he gets the chance to. While he's nearing the closing his eyes phase and then dosing off he often grabs the nearest thing and clings to it as if it were a teddy bear. This doesn't exclude people he'll reach out and if he gets ahold of you it's probably to late. The person he grabs might as well act like the best stuff animal they can be.

(Friendly):
Ozzy comes from a type of bear that first thoughts on when met by a threat is to retreat unless there's a cub then they maul the enemy. Unlike his species Ozzy is very friendly and loves all his friends dearly. He doesn't often resort to violence but if he does it's most likely for an agreeable good reason. His friends sometimes turns out to be people he mistakenly grab and hold onto when he's sleeping. Yes that's an odd way to make friends but you can't get angry at a big soft guy.

Background:
When Ozzy was a cub he must of sleep when his pack started to move and was left behind. He wasn't aware that he was stranded so he went on in the complete opposite direction his pack went in. Soon he cane upon a small town that often had bears and forest animals pass through. Ozzy didn't know what possessed a human to raise a bear cub that's what happened when he crossed paths with a young married couple. The couple raised Ozzy as a human boy even though he had bear ears and a puffy sphere like tail. He grew up loving his human parents and siblings even if the rest of the town didn't like what was going on within their household.

To avoid the continues protests and small riots outside their home Ozzy decided that it would best if he leaved so the family could live in peace. Of course his human parents didn't like the thought of this but had no choice in the matter. Before he left his parents gifted him with a large teddy bear to remind him that he is dangerous but can still be the most nicest and softest animal he can be. With his loving memories of his human family Ozzy planned to go to school to become a veterinarian so he can help other animals like his parents did for him.

Personality:

(Trait 1): Short Temper- Tenne is always one to take offense easily, rarely holding a grudge when she could settle the matter then and there. While she has tempered the heat somewhat, she's still likely to throw the first punch in a fight if she thinks she has a chance...and sometimes when she doesnt. This also means she's likely the first to leap to someone's defense, ready to fight their battles for them. Ofcourse there isn't always a battle to be won till she arrives.

(Trait 2):Maternal- Having basically raised her brothers with her father always working and their mother dead, Tenne has what she considers a annoyingly persistent need t take care of others, and while it may not be considered TLC, she's rarely able to just abadon someone that looks like they need a leg up. Just be ready to listen to a lot of grumbling in the process

Background:
Born an native to Downtown Almaston, Tennes family was one of the few beastkin families able to stay independent, with her father working wherever he could and her mother having gotten a job helping in a backalley clinic. Though few could say that their living conditions were optimal, it was better than most beastkin could attest to, it was preferable to being owned or split apart. Tenne herself was what one  would call a willful child, often being brought home by towns guards for "provoking" upstanding humans, more often than not covered in more than a few bruises. Other than that things weren't so bad.

Unfortunately, both happiness and despair were brought into the house when she was thirteen. Her mother had rough labor, dying in child birth while being her twin brothers into the world. Afterwards, with now two more mouths to feed, and no longer having their mothers income, Tenne's father was rarely ever home any longer than to sleep a handful of hours, losing touch with his children in the process. Despite his best efforts, the money was not enough to support them all, and so he did not question it when Tenne began bringing home more money than himself.

Early after the birth of her brothers, Tenne became determined to whatever was necessary to keep them going, and soon found her rather paper thin temper could be well served acting as an enforced among gangs. Early on she mearly beat down opposing cutpurses, putting the fear of death to them. However she quickly rose up the ranks, often providing support at meetings between rivals and such. She had to admit, she rather enjoyed a easy source to vent her pent up aggression. However making a name for yourself in these circles comes at a cost.

She came home one day to find her home ransacked, with her young brothers sporting multiple fractures. After working her way through the group that hit her home, she was forced to admit other options were needed. Doing a few last jobs, Tenne saved the money to buy her way out of the gang, as well as grease a few palms to get a rather rough character such as herself into Hartriche Academy. If she's being honest, she'd much rather be still smashing things and getting paid for it...
