The event has been posted. If anyone has plans to try and interact with the helical beams in any way let me know and I'll inform you as to what will result from the attempt. Do be aware that this is the first time any event like this has been witnessed in Tabrasa.
Somewhere between North Crown and Osarion the Ebony Castle, just west of the great lake, a tremor could be felt throughout the ground. All the wildlife in the region could feel the earth begin to shake which created much panic. The tremors gave way as the earth erupted, two massive beams of power surging forth into the skies and beyond. The strange phantasmal beams seemed to encircle one another in a helical pattern, one beam being a pale white while the other was a darker grey which seemed to shudder constantly despite holding a precise pattern around it's conjoined other.

At the base of the intertwined glowing aural strands a black spire of fluted stone jutted forth from the earth. It reached taller than all the trees and all the mountains in the land, possessing a single hole down the middle through which the beams shined through. The spire was pocked all along the surface and contained numerous winding tunnels near it's base which seemed to wind and twist around the interior of the spire. All the while the twin strands continued their ghostly dance, shining like a faint beacon into the night sky.

The power emitted by these strands could be felt directly by the surrounding land. All the animals were the first to flee. Flocks of birds scattered until they were far across the land from the spire. Herds of deer, moose and other herd animals stampeded away from it. Even the insects that called this biome home all left, even going so far as to abandon their hives and colonies in mindless terror. This fear became so potent that even the trees themselves were coming alive just to uproot themselves, pulling themselves away upon their roots to escape the effects of the twin beams. All plants reacted similarly, uprooting to crawl in fear from the frightening force. Even the grass was driven to pull itself from the ground and wriggle away from the spire like millions of tiny snakes. The effect adjacent to the spire was so strong even the dirt surrounding the spire was slowly receding from it. By the time everything was far enough from the twin beam's effect the whole land for a couple acres within it's perimeter was left a barren crater which was completely devoid of everything, living or not. Only the spire and the powers it housed remained.

The enormous strands were intangible to all forces at the time. The amount of divine energy surrounding these strands were enormous. It was beyond the likes of even gods, a danger to even approach for sure.
Now for another round of getting back on top of things.

@Rune_Alchemist - One thing I'll note is that you mentioned that there is no stars in the sky within the description of the observatory. The truth is that there are a few stars in the sky, just not many currently.

@Vega7 - Van Kurr is quite good. You have my permission to post him into the characters tab.

@ZekariVoblis - There are a few issues I'd like to address about your god before I can accept it. I'll send you a pm regarding my concerns so the discussion doesn't occupy too much of the OOC.

One thing I will note here, for everyone, is that while claiming multiple realms on the face of the world is fine you cannot have more than one sub-space realm currently. The knowledge as to what they are and how to make them isn't currently available knowledge.

On a separate note the event I'll be introducing will be up soon. It's a bit short since I'm leaving it open for others to approach and observe for now but things will definitely happen, events which should prove enlightening regarding certain facets of godhood.
She had been sitting at the desk largely in silence for the duration of what transpired. She had opted against taking any of the snacks issued by her fellow roleplayers, instead choosing to take a nice sip of her mint tea. She was thankful that Craig had little to no words on her character, saving her the pain of having her concept riffed on by the rather witless sort.

Screwing the lid back on to her thermos she took back her notes, catching the sight of the man's dusted prints upon several pages, and close it up before setting it aside. She made a mental note to print a new copy of her character notes when she returned home. Having known the pain of losing her work and having no copies backed up she was never remiss in saving backups of all her written efforts.

While the rest were trading pleasantries or chatting she decided to squeeze some study into the night while their GM was off playing with the curtains while generic fantasy music hummed from the phone. Then came the tremor.

She looked up, mildly confused. This region isn't prone to earthquakes. What could be the source of that tremor? She puzzled out the source. The second wave hit and it felt like a full earthquake was in effect. She dove out of her chair just as a cabinet crashed down right where she was sitting, coming quite near to being flattened were it not for her impulse to move out of the way of all glass windows and panels such as the likes which previously secured the cabinet's contents. Sterling her reaction speed was not.

She'd of warned everyone else but it seemed like there was more at work there than just earth-shaking tremors. The book itself seemed to possibly be floating though she couldn't be sure that it wasn't just launched up somehow as everything seemed to be moving too quickly for her to keep track of. The pages flipped unto a certain image before a power yellow light consumed the world, temporarily blinding her as the world melted away. It's magic took hold and she felt her body begin to change. She felt a strong sensation of nausea, as though the contents of her whole torso were ready to spill forth as her new form took hold.

For a moment she could of sworn she passed out or something to that effect, losing time before suddenly waking up.

_
There she was, well, 'She' being used loosely. Wanting to rub her eyes to adjust to the sudden change in lighting she felt something damp and soft touch her face at the exact time she had tried to lift her arms. Recoiling in surprise her eyes fluttered open just in time to see the world shifting a quick ninety degrees to the left as she spilled from her chair. A dark wooden roof filled her vision from the ground. Her whole body felt congested and she wanted to expel the bloat of fluid in her but was unable to. Everything felt unnatural, her physical feedback ringing completely different from just moments before.

"What... Happened?" She asked aloud, wondering if any of the other players were in the vicinity to answer her. It was quite audibly clear to both her and everyone else that her voice was significantly higher than before and she was far from baritone to begin with. She attempted to sit up but that proved to be far more of a challenge than what was expected. As she hoisted herself up much became far clearer. The lack of legs was the tipping point for her.

"Ah... AAAAAAAA-!!" Her scream of combined shock and horror rang loud and keened highly enough that it could be mistaken for a piping tea kettle were the listener not looking upon the source of the noise to begin with. She looked down, eyes wide with shock at the limp handless noodles occupying where hands once sat. Seeing the entirety of her lower torso congealed into a deep mint green colored mass of shuddering translucent goo was more than enough to temporarily steal her wits away, leaving her mind absent of coherent thought for that brief few seconds.

Having run out of air for the moment she was forced to take a breath which gave her the needed time to collect her faculties. She quickly looked up to see nothing was the same anymore. The room she had once occupied was now an old wooden tavern. She was surrounded by strangers, each one looking stranger than the next. Looking between them all she had to admit the ghostly plate clad skeleton was perhaps the most egregious affront to her notion of reality.

_
"What dark sorcery is this!?" She exclaimed, nothing making any sense any more. She made a visible effort to calm down, closing her eyes and breathing in deep. The fact that as she drew her breath her whole upper torso flexed like a fleshy strand of phlegm did not help this effort of hers in the slightest. Neither did the fact she didn't have a nose, forcing her to breath in through the mouth for that matter.

"This... This must be some sort of acid trip. Clearly my mind has constructed a reality of it's own. If I... If I had to guess my body is probably still at Craigs house. Oh god..." The unsettling implications of her diagnosis of this situation of hers held no relief, only more concern. She couldn't come up with a reason as to how he managed to dose her due to the fact that she hadn't touched any of the food. He couldn't of drugged her through the snacks and her thermos was in her hold pretty much from the moment she sat down. As snacks ran across her train of thought she noted that the snacks, her thermos included, were still present and sitting upon this new table they were all just previously seated at.

The disturbing thoughts of what Craig might of done to her or might be doing as of that moment were far too grim for her to bear. She decided to cease all speculation for now, ridding the terrible thoughts from her mind so she might instead confront the major obstacle before her: This surreal fantasy brought upon by the likely administration of psychotropic narcotics by a man who shouldn't even be trusted with penicillin.

"Just focus. Concentrate solely on the sound of your own voice. You are the master of your own mind." She droned to herself, Eyes closed as she attempted to try and rise above the influence. It was of little use, the squeaky voice she now possessed made it impossible to not be thoroughly distracted just listening to herself. Getting half a mind to try and sip some tea to relax she reached for her thermos only to almost fall over as her whole form wobbled like a gelatin snack.

Her attempt to lift the thermos was pathetic. Her tentacle slipped up and off the container as she lifted, her goo much too slippery to properly hold a smooth metal container such as it. Returning her new appendages to her side she held as still as she could and breathed in and out slowly, her face starting to contort into a sorrowful frown as the frustrations born of her current state of being soured into despair towards her inability to perform basic actions. Already her eyes were watering with loose droplets of green slime residue. The residue secreted from the rest of her body however was already started to eat away at the floor, the wooden boards sizzling with a prolonged hiss.

Just keep a hold of yourself. Try to think. Whatever you do don't lose your mind.
@Archangel89 - Aside from dragons and Ferron's dwarves I've seen no mention of other fantasy races created as of yet.
@Frozen0Titan - The problem there is with little for him to respond to he'd leave the scene leaving little to no opportunity for interaction. Such is my reasoning for waiting on your post.
I figure I'll give it another day. If there's no response from Frozen0Titan by then I'll have Thessir continue on his way.
@Legion02 - Apologies for the delayed response. As far as details regarding such an event goes I'll be holding onto a fair few of them until the event transpires. When the event transpires how the gods respond is largely up to their respective players.

Speaking of which I have come up with an idea for this introduction to the mechanics behind the birth of a Divine Cord. Hopefully it should serve as an insightful introduction of events to come. It may strike as a tad close to Oao's territory in terms of theme and locations but other gods are certainly welcome to participate. I simply set it up in a manner that ensures I won't be stuck with unnecessary baggage in the scenario that
no one investigates it.
I decided to put a solo post forward for Oao. I'd kick off a domain event but given the looks of things and the fact everyone's fairly active and well with their own activities I figured I'd wait on it. If no deities took an interest in the event in passing I'd wind up put in a fair pinch for reasons that may be disclosed later.

In any case I'm more or less caught up on everyone's posts so far and I must say I'm quite enjoying everyone's work as we assemble the world that will unfold by the first time-skip, forging relations and new creations which will grow in strange yet exciting new directions as we forge onward.
Night had fallen. Through the trees a nightingale gave pursuit to a particularly swift dragonfly. Between branches and over bushes they danced, the bird ever keen on it's next meal. This continued until the dragonfly had unknowingly flown past the treeline and into the Dead Peaks. Just a short stretch before the foot of the North Crown there was a swath that reached from the mountains barring the shore from the west all the way to the mountains barring the shore from the east where nothing lived. The tree line was a true halt for everything as Oao had destroyed everything that might hide intruders into her caverns. There were no trees past that point, not a single blade of grass nor any creatures who dared stray too close to these lands. Any creatures of course aside from the desperate dragonfly and the unwary nightingale.

The little winged pest buzzed it's way up towards the mountains, ducking into a cave well up upon a cliff side with the avian hunter hot on it's tale. The bird suddenly lost sight of it's prey as it vanished into the pitch black entrance. Not one to be dissuaded the plucky bird landed and took a few short hops inside, confident in it's ability to fly away should anything present danger. Listening it heard no sound aside from the empty whistling of wind into the reaches of the cavern. All of a sudden, much faster than it could react to let alone fly from, a pitch black hand reached out from the darkness and caught it fast in it's grip. The hold was secure but not too tight as to crush the thing.

_
What it had failed to understand was that the hand didn't just come from the darkness, it was the darkness. With panicked chirping it struggled against the long flat fingers that held it snug within the darkness's grasp but to no avail. Slowly the darkness formed into a shape. It was a roughly humanoid form with a slender hourglass body, long smooth arms and numerous dark tendrils which extruded out from a single stalk like roots fanning out from the trunk of a tree. Her face was smooth and featureless like staring into the depths of a deep well and her hair flowed around her head in hundreds of thousands of small dark tendrils which seemed to gently blow in an unfelt wind. This was the avatar of Oao, a body shaped from the darkness itself which she has cast her senses into so she can operate beyond her caves without ever having to leave them.

"Shhhhh! Sh sh sh, Caaalm... Caaalm." She urged the panicked beast which listened to her soft wispy shushes but felt no calm nor understanding of the meaning. Gently she stroked a long flat shadow finger across the soft feathers upon it's head to try and coax it into a state of calm but it had no effect. It's feathered were all ruffled now due to all the struggling it was putting up. Gently she lowered her hand over it's head, her index finger and thumb holding the head secure so it couldn't move while a second thumb formed. The second thumb and her middle finger became sharp at the tips like long obsidian swords.

"Don't be scared. This will only hurt... A tiny, little... Bit." The panicked chirping crescendoed into full out screeching as the very tips of her second thumb and middle finger pierced slowly into it's eyes. Taking it nice and easy, not making any sudden movements or pressing to hard, Oao took to this task with every ounce of delicacy to ensure it went cleaner than certain earlier attempts. She gouged the eyes only deep enough so that it could no longer see, taking her painstaking time gently removing her claws so as to not cause undue hemorrhaging in the eye tissue. It issued pitiable cries of pain, still struggling to escape though more lackluster as it was suffering.

_
"Please cry not. Unchained from the light you will fly with more majesty than any." She ushered words of reassurance to the poor bird, words falling on deaf ears. With the long thick tentacles of purest darkness she pulled herself up to the entrance of the cave on her stalk, bird in hand.

"Now fly! Fly with pride into the night!" She pushed her voice to what would largely be described as a somewhat louder whisper. She held her palms up and out to the wind, releasing the bird into the world as it left her grasp and started to fly.

Perhaps this one She hoped deep within her heart. This one will succeed and awaken all other beasts to the true potential of the darkness. Just as her hopes were about to soar alongside this nightingale of hers it lost it's way a took a fast nose dive into the dirt beyond. Her hands fell to her side and her head bowed in defeat.

"No... Just like the rest." She watched as the tiny bird flailed upon the ground, surrounded by a wide field of bones, all of them once belonging to birds not unlike itself. Some of them were killed in the procedure, some of them simply flopped down and crashed against the stones down the mountain. The rest, like this bird, had flown only to blindly crash at the foot of the mountain with all the rest.

She was crestfallen. Time after time she believes that she can break the light walkers dependency on light only to be met with such results. Why? She often wonders. How can it be that so many beings can be so dependent on light that by the simple act of taking it away they are rendered so helpless?

The large willowy figure shrank back into the cave. The edges of it's form stretched into tendrils which joined with the darkness which clung onto the walls of the cave, pulling the form apart until the individual pieces were reabsorbed into the darkness to conserve her energy.

So she sat, alone in her many tunnels
which were masked from all who'd pry.
She'd mourn the death of such a delicate animal,
she would wonder why she should even try.
