@Stale Pizzai was just being sarcastic
My net hasn't dropped again since night before last, so that issue may already be fixed. Right now I'm on-call but hopefully nothing will come up over the weekend.

Also sorry if anything I mentioned before was insensitive or disturbing, I was kinda rambling and on the edge of sleep already and the funeral business is probably expected to be a bit like that in general.

To be honest... I am a little creeped out XD

Takeshi’s lip curled in a tiny smirk as he noticed her tuft of hair spring up after introducing himself. It was odd. But he had seen many weird quirks before. He stood there looking at her when she looked back at him, her head cocked to the side as if she was trying to process something in her head. Staring blankly at him as he blinked back at her with an amused smirk. She really was odd. The other girl sort of answered his question, but it was more directed to Mina, than to him. It was clear she was bitter about her own situation. It didn’t take a genius to figure that out.

He was pulled out of it when Motome introduced herself, suddenly her tuft of hair was bapping him in the nose, his head pulled back slightly as he was confused at first at what hit him, then again it bopped him on the nose as she stood up. Seeing it finally, his amused smirk turned into a small grin, more so when she asked if he was a ninja or samurai, or the combination of the two.

He was about to answer, but he hesitated. Thinking about it actually he was formally trained to be a samurai, however he did learn few of the arts that normally a Ninja would practice in, Intel gathering. Evasion and escape, as well as stealth when needed. With a thoughtful look on his face he looked to Motome with her childlike expression on her face, which only made him smile more.

Well, I was formally trained as a Samurai, as has all my ancestors had since well before the Meji Era. However we have trained in a few Ninjutsu arts as well. So I suppose the correct answer would be a Samurai-Ninja.

It is a pleasure to meet you as well. He noticed they haven’t eaten yet as they were sitting down. Kenichi was mention how he inhales his food jokingly. He glanced at the others near them and looked once again to Fumika. Forgive me, I should let you and your visitors eat before bothering you any further. I would like to get to know you more some other time. He bowed his head to Fumika once again.

Overhearing Mina speaking to Haruka about Jett Haven he glanced over. He found it odd that he was a person of interest to those two. To him he was a bumbling fool who was a big talker. He remembered the scene in the lunchroom. And he was easily thrown from a window in class.

Even more so that she didn’t even know this girl but she was trying to get to the bottom of it.

Yashiro, Takeshi

Ezra

Ezra had followed the boy. Even watching the way he walked, he could feel intense discipline and self control, something honed from intense training and whilst it didn’t make Ezra particularly intimidated, like before, it made him watch his step around him. By the time they were outside, he didn’t exactly feel like sitting in silence even if it wouldn’t have made any difference to him so he figured he’d start conversation.

“Sisters, ay.” he spoke, obviously noting to the boy that he’d had the same experience himself.

Takeshi was perfectly fine with walking in silence, He could almost feel like the boy behind him was watching him. If he was him he would be as well. He glanced back as he spoke once outside. He said nothing as he looked forward again. After come to the realization that this one had a sister as well, he had a slight relaxing feeling come over him. Perhaps this one would not try anything with Michiko if he understood what it meant to have a sister...especially a younger one.

He moved his arm around, flexing the arms different ways in it to stretch the that was burned. The process caused immense pain, but he took it in stride as he was trying to force as much pain upon himself before having it healed. While he, like his sister found it incredibly stupid to purposefully hurt another in training, to…’test your limits’ He had no qualms, unlike her, to do so to himself with injuries he received. One of the things he actually appreciated his father teaching him, despite his methods of introducing that lesson.

They are… a handful at times. He slowed his pace so Ezra was more slightly behind him. I am assuming you have a sister yourself? Older or younger?

Ezra grinned. His family was huge, in comparison to most. So the answer to the question was, well, both. He had around 8 siblings in total, but the one he was most referring to was his little sister. Still, she had nothing on his sister in regards to fussiness. Even if he came back with a broken arm she’d probably laugh at him and tell him to walk it off.

“I got both. Families pretty big round my parts, but they still ain’t got nothin’ on yours. She might be worse than my mom.” he spoke with a smile as he thought of home. Whilst he didn’t miss the locale, he missed the bustling family, the conversations at the dinner table, them coming to see him play or telling him off for fighting too much. Thoughts of home were always warm in regards to family

He nodded when he answered. ” Michiko has always been the most sweet and caring in the family. I used to get injured a lot more when I was growing up. She, would be the one who would be there taking care of me.” If Ezra were to look closely at the skin revealed by his tanktop, he could see clearly some nasty scars that were the evidence of his upbringing. Many of which were inflicted by swords.

He thought to his other brothers and sisters...none of them compared to Michiko, one looking in on their family would even wonder if she was even related. Not even his own mother showed that much motherly love. He then thought about the last few months where it was only he and his sister. These had been the best months he could remember with ‘family’.

They soon came to the nurses. “Michiko is too sweet for this line of ‘work’ It’s up to me to make sure she can do whatever she desires in life.” He found it odd how he slipped and said that to Ezra, When ever he spoke of his sister though, he seemed to be a bit more….chatty.

Ms.Kiwi had been doing paperwork when the two came in. Her nose twitched as the door opened and she knew these two were injured. She whipped her head towards the door, her hair swaying in the air and covering her chest. “Looky Looky long time no see Mr.Jasekade” she turned to see a black haired boy as well. “And you brought me quite the adorable friend..hi there. I am your school nurse, Ms.Kiwi” she said with a smile as she placed her hands on her hips. Her nose twitched once more as she smelled Takeshi's burns. “Oh my do you have some horrible burns, take a seat on the bed and I will treat them” she motioned takeshi towards a bed.

“As for you Mr.Jasekade, I will treat you without my quirk this time. It's best that they don't get an acclimated to you, else I won't be able to keep them disciplined.” By they she meant the insects getting hooked to the taste of Ezra's blood and flesh.

Takeshi raised an eyebrow at the nurse at her choice of words and how she held herself. She was odd, that was for sure. A guy would easily get excited at such a beautiful woman as a nurse taking care of him, however he already heard the horror stories from his fellow students in A-3. The quirk she had was creepy...and the fact she felt like she was hitting on her patients really didn’t seem appealing after that. He walked to the bed and sat down, realizing he still had his Bokken and pulled it out, resting it on the bed behind him.

As kiwi prepared to fix up the boy she surveyed the boy's skin. The nurse squinted hard before letting out a “hmm.” This wasn't any ordinary kid as he had multiple nasty scars. She placed her finger on the boys burned shoulder and ran it down towards his hand. Ms.Kiwi pulled her hand back then opened. Takeshi and Ezra could see the bugs pouring down though these ones were a cream coloring and they immediately latched on to the boys arm. “You should have taken better care of your wounds, your skin is nice.” The bugs began really getting into the boys skin he would feel them moving around in it. “You must have one nasty burn for them to go in like this.” They soon emerged and could see the boys healthy skin rise to the surface healthy and new. She retracted her bugs and placed a few bandaids over the drained blisters.

“All done , just make sure to keep your drained blisters clean”

Takeshi watched nurse Kiwi intently as he saw her studying his old wounds. Sure enough she made mention of them. He simply said, They are a reminder of my mistakes growing up My father made sure they would scar so I would never forget. He said matter of factly. He was always patched up at home, if serious enough like some scars would show, to Ms. Kiwi, She would know instantly he was almost killed a few times. His father would have a personal doctor with a healing quirk to heal him enough for him to survive, then if it was coverable, just enough to stop bleeding, while bandages would serve the rest of the healing process. Otherwise it would be healed enough to leave a scar.

Takeshi still went to school, but his father was smart enough to cover it enough to avoid the investigation of Child services.

He watched as the bugs entered his skin, an odd sensation which grossed him out slightly, but it didn’t show on his face. When she mentioned the burn he only nodded. Raw electrical energy would do that. He was slightly surprised she didn't ask who did it. But he shrugged and moved off the bed so Ezra could sit down. Grabbing his bokken, he slipped it back into his sash and inspected his arm, oddly...he was almost disappointed he would have no scar from this one. Almost.

Ezra sat down upon the bed as he watched Takeshi get treated. He still couldn’t get used to that woman's quirk, regardless of how attractive she was. It was creepy as fuck to be frank and he was honestly glad that he didn’t have to be treated by it. As he sat down, he took off his shirt to show the extent of the wounds preemptively for Kiwi in order for her to have full visibility for the wounds.

“You can go back and get the cake if you want Takeshi. I don’t mind if ya wanna leave.” he spoke, knowing that he likely wouldn’t want to stay at the nurse's office.

As Ezra sat on the bed Ms.Kiwi smiled, “It's sweet of you to come visit me at the end of the day” she said as she pulled her gloves down her hand.. The nurse then began wiping the boy skin and cleansing it of any bacteria. Once all the blood and cuts were cleansed Kiwi began rubbing ointment onto the boy's cuts before wrapping them up in bandages and patting him on the back.

“You should feel good by morning, just relax your muscles for the rest of the night” she said as she took her gloves off and dropped them in the trash. She went back to her desk to finish up some more paperwork.

Takeshi nodded at Ezra, as he told him he was free to go. He didn’t need to say it twice...He was really looking forward to that cake. He quickly made his exit as ms. Kiwi slipped on her gloves.

“Thanks.” he spoke after recieving his treatment. He was strangely more comfortable around older women than a little girl and that was something that annoyed him. Regardless, he wanted to go get some of the cake if it was still available so he began hustling back to the dorms, to find it being served as he came back in.

“Well, I’m glad I didn’t miss out.” he spoke with a sigh of relief as he sat back down.

Yashiro, Takeshi
Yashiro Michiko

Ezra

Michiko came into the room not much longer before her older brother returned from training. She was surprised to see he had some serious burns on his left arm. What happened?? Was it from someone he tried to spar with? She quickly moved over to them, ignoring everyone else and brushing passed Ezra and stopping Takeshi with a hand to his chest. She took her other hand and gingerly took his burned arm into it as she inspected it. Seeing the white blisters. She shook her head.

.What happened? She demanded in a worried tone. Sure Takeshi had taken much more serious wounds in his day, but still it was supposed to be training. Then to top it off he was deliberately putting himself through more ‘training’ by not getting it taken care of.

Another student using her powers improperly, caused an explosion because she had no control proper control of it. Despite it being only a spar. he said in an almost bored tone. He tried to pull away but she held him for a moment. He looked at her as her eyes glared at him with her own stubbornness with an unspoken demand. He sighed Alright, I will have it taken care of after dinner. Deal?

She gave a disgusted sigh and pulled him towards the table she chose to sit at and pointed at the chair designated for Takeshi. Sit. At which he simply followed her instructions, while she was sitting across from Donny and next to Ezra.

Michiko gave a huff as she plopped into her seat, still glaring at her brother before looking at Ezra with a smile. Hello, It’s nice to meet you, My name is Yashiro Michiko, as you can tell, this brute over here is my older brother Takeshi.” She looked to donny who asked what's up. Noting his studer, Don’t worry, Takeshi may look mean, but he’s a big softy,

It was around this time the den mother introduced herself and explained the way she ran things. She did note her name, and knew of her history almost instantly, as it came up to her mind like a file. She knew EVERY Hero, and Most Villains. She was kinda glad she was the den mother. She was constantly cold. It will be nice to have someone who puts off that much heat.

Takeshi gave a barely noticeable shrug at her sister’s introduction to him. He gathered Donny made the food, and he simply added, “Thank you for the food.” Before starting to eat, even during the Den mothers introduction. His left arm placed on his lap, as he mentally steeled himself against the ever growing pain of the burn. His arm still had a slight tremor, but it was hardly noticeable.

Ezra had sat down and begin to get comfortable when he noted the people he was sitting with. It seemed he was with the boy he walked in with, the one that had a similar feeling to the people he used to live around, Donny, and a girl he’d never heard of. He wasn’t particularly fussed about the table choices, but he did know that he was still somewhat uncomfortable around women in social settings, and that was especially amped up today given the situation he was in with the blind girl.

It was at this time that he saw Michiko. Whilst he wasn’t exactly dumbstruck, he was damn sure of his gender at this point in time and she certainly wasn’t an ugly girl, rather very attractive to him for some reason. He tried to suppress himself however, as this was very clearly somebody’s little sister and he couldn’t bring himself to be trying anything regarding Takeshi, as he looked as if the two had a very close bonds. Even still, he found himself finding the girl very cute as she berated the boy for getting burned during a spar.

She then went and sat next to him. Shit he found himself thinking as the girl sat down next to him. Maybe if she sat away from him he could find himself some peace and not randomly find himself feeling awkward but this was terrible for him, perhaps a better time could not have been chosen. He still had his confidence, but he was very rattled on the inside as he tried to change his thoughts to the food as she introduced herself to him.

“Nice to meet ya. I’m Ezra.” he spoke with a somewhat uplifted tone. He found himself looking forward to the food, even as he found himself feeling very clammed up by this situation, even if it wasn’t completely evident on his face as he looked at the food before him.

“Thanks for the food.” he spoke as he began to dig in. Even though there was a girl right next to him, it didn’t seem to change his eating habits as he devoured it as he normally would have. He found himself finishing off his food in next to no time at all as he casually wiped his mouth with a napkin.

“That’s pretty good stuff. You got more?” he spoke seemingly happier than before.

Donny looked at the ones he was sitting with. Basically strangers to him. Sure he knew Ezra was from his class but aside from his name and his quick (which Donny only sorta knew thanks to the battle) he had no intel on the guy. The other two weren’t any more familiar; he only knew Machiko for about an hour and this was the first time he met Takeshi. Eating some food Donny looked nervously between everyone. ”I guess I should say something?” fortunately Ezra gave something for Donny to work with. He was always confident about food.

”Oh yeah, loads more. I uh… I was told to make thirty. So I m-made thirty.” A few more scoops from his chopsticks and Donny was done with his food. He ate his own beef don in about four bites. Before he could even stand up Mamoru was already there. She took Donny’s bowl and had a fresh one right where the old one was. Ezra also got himself a fresh helping. ”Hey hey! Chillax. I’ll get your food. If anyone wants seconds just ask!” And then Mamoru was gone.

Donny was left a bit flabbergasted that Mamoru was actually serving them, but he didn’t question it. Instead e tried I do small talk. ”S-So uh… Y’all like beef don? I uh, I made it with onions and s-stuff. Fried rice with w-walnuts t-t-too.” Food was always an easy topic to work with, usually. Donny reached out and took one of Acion’s fried pickles.

Michiko was surprised how Ezra ate his food… She grew up in a house full of boys….none of which ate like him. He had that bowl cleaned before she was even close to being halfway done. She had noticed how he didn’t look at her when he gave her his name. She leaned her head to the side as she studied him. He was odd. Many of the boys she knew were odd though. Yet he seemed more so. She only smiled before going back to her food as he asked Donny if there was more. This certainly was the best she had in a long time, she might even ask for seconds. When Donny explained what he made it with, she looked at him with an even bigger smile. This is absolutely amazing! I don't think I ever had beef don this good. The flavor is so rich. I certainly could learn a thing or two from you.

Takeshi was busy eating his food, He agreed with his sister's statement. It was really good. Though Michiko was a fantastic cook herself...it would seem she met her match. He wasn’t paying too much attention though, as he noticed how Ezra was slightly ridged when Michiko sat next to him. He didn’t give anything away, but the way he did not look at his sister when introducing himself was...troubling. He didn’t push it though. Clearly there wasn’t any evidence.

Glancing at Donny, It was really good, And take that as a real compliment, she is the best cook i known still now. He said as he too finished with his food. Much slower than Ezra. But still fast. He simply sighed and leaned back in his chair as the food warmed his stomach. Glancing at Ezra he then asked bluntly. ”So what's your quirk?”

Ezra was pleased to find that his food had came that quickly, and he wasted no time in eating it. Before any of them had thought to look at, or speak to Ezra after observing him from his first bowl, he had finished his second. He was still very hungry, but decided to be a bit more patient in this regard as he sat it down and pushed it to the side.

It was around this time that Takeshi had asked Ezra about his quirk. Ezra looked at the boy like he’d just choked a cat . Ezra didn’t exactly like giving information about his quirk or power away, even if he was proud of it. It was a strategic recourse that he was reluctant to even submit to the state when he discovered his ability, and only did it so he could get into the hero school. However, he had to evaluate the situation. It was obviously normal for these people to throw around such a valuable piece of information, but because his was so easily concealed and extremely difficult to spot, it was better to have that information. He figured he’d tell a half lie in this regard.

“I can give myself a power boost and make myself faster. What’s yours?” he spoke, trying to sound normal but he was obviously disturbed by this so it didn’t sound wholly natural.

Donny looked rather happy getting compliments about his cooking. It wasn’t really a “heroic” skill, but he was glad someone was enjoying it. Donny downed his second bowl and helped himself to some more pickles too. Takeshi asked Ezra about his quirk and Donny could feel the tension increase. Quirks were a sensitive topic for many reasons, while they were classmates, there was also some rivalry too. They would fight and train with each other for much of their high school life. While they’ll eventually learn each other's ability, it was still too early to reveal their secrets.

Donny of course wanted no part of talking about his quirk. He sought to find something else to distract himself with. Looking to Machiko, Donny tried to change the subject. ”If uh… If ya want, I c-c-could bring out your c-cake. I’m sure it’s g-g-great.” Always about the food. At least Donny was predictable.

Takeshi only smirked at Ezra’s response to his question. Wonderful, another guy who was smart in not revealing his quirk. Perhaps not all the students here were that foolish enough. It said a lot about the boy in his reaction, which was just as revealing to him as someone who explained their quirk.

He noted how unnatural his explanation was, it was clear it was only part of his quirk. He then turned the question back at him. At which Takeshi shrugged then effortlessly explained the lie of his quirk, which he had been doing all his life. I can push things around with my mind. which actually was kinda true, he can use the shadows anywhere within twenty feet to solidify push the objects it was behind. Including people.

He glanced at Donny when he tried to change the subject. cake? looking at Michiko. what kind of cake?

Michiko smiled at Takeshi when he tried to pry some info from Ezra. She giggled at the reaction Ezra gave, she suppressed it of course but that look made her smile. He of course didn’t reveal much and Takeshi did the same,

Donny then asked if she wanted the cake to come out. Smiling sweetly at Donny”oh I can get it if you want. she said standing up and looking at Ezra. As she moved a little towards him as she got out of her chair would you like some?.

Ezra recognized lying as well as the next person, especially considering that he’d just told one, so he figured that they were both pretty skeptical about giving away information, and he was glad that he wasn’t being pushed for more. It was around this time that the subject had switched to cake. He did enjoy a well made cake, and wasn’t that used to having it, as it wasn’t really a namesake in his part of the world due to the expense that it usually carried.

As it turned out, Michiko had made it and whilst he wasn’t that familiar with the types of cake, he couldn’t say no if she offered it to him, which she did, while getting even closer than before. Ezra was more uncomfortable, but didn’t want to make things awkward, so he looked at Michiko in the eye for as long as he could manage and spoke.

“Yeah, sure. I’d love some. You want me to help ya get it?” he said as he readied himself to stand up. He figured it was the polite thing to do, especially considering she’d made the cake for everyone.

She placed a hand gently on his shoulder. “thank you for the offer! Don’t get up though, you looked a little banged up like my brother. she giggled, picking up her plate and both of his.

Ezra jumped slightly at the touch of the girl on his shoulder, for two main reasons. Firstly, was because the touch was very unexpected, and he hadn’t anticipated the contact that definitely enhanced the awkwardness he felt, and the other, was that she was touching an undressed wound. Whilst it wasn’t bleeding, or a very deep cut, it still stung to have the cloth from his shirt pushed onto it, but he had nothing to blame other than his laziness to dress the cut in order to go back to dinner earlier. He figured he’d sit back down and let her handle it if she didn’t want his help.

”I-I-I’ll take one too please.” Actually Donny wanted half the cake, but he knew that was unacceptable. It looks like he had also finished his second bowl of steak don and all the pickles. He was wiping the cheese off his cheeks as he looked to Michiko. But since she was going to be leaving soon Donny would have to be with Ezra and Takeshi. Scary guys. Donny just sat there patiently waiting and hoping not to embarrass himself.

Michiko jumped at Ezra jumping. Looking at his arm then putting two and two together she placed her hands over her mouth. ”I’m so sorry I didn’t know you had some wounds there.” she could tel there was no bandages there. After her little scare went away she sighed and then said Ok this is stupid. looking to Takeshi, neither of you will not get dessert till you go to the nurse's office and get your wounds taken care of. she said folding her arms in front of her. Looking at the both of them with a cute scowl on her face. They didn’t move at first. well?! What are you waiting for? You think I’m kidding?

Takeshi sighed and pushed himself up from his seat. Looking to Ezra with a look that clearly said, she’s serious.

Ezra was shocked by the reaction. The apology at first was very close to making him embarrassed but what followed nearly did. He was being berated by a girl near enough a foot shorter than him and presumably younger, yet it was so damn cute that he could barely take it seriously. When Takeshi gave him a look, he knew it was serious however, and he figured that if she was that worried about it then he’d go and put her mind to rest and stood up.

“No ma'am.”

Donny just looked at the other two guys standing up, felt oddly bad. He wondered if maybe he should have gone to do some training too, instead of moping around the dorm and cooking. Slightly confused and concerned he tried to improve the situation somehow. ”Um uh ah, I’ll s-s-s-save y’all some cake?” Donny smiled meekly.

Michiko gave a nod of approval and a small amused smile. when Ezra said ‘no ma’am’ Donny then said they would save them some. To which she nodded as well.

Of course that would be just cruel and unusual to not save them a piece. But it’s far worse to sit there in pain just because they’re too lazy or think they won’t be man enough if they go to the nurse's. she said looking at the two boys standing. I will not stand for Unnecessary pain. Now go, I’ll take care of the dishes.

Takeshi just nodded and started walking to the door. He glanced at Roy and wondered if she would force him as well if she found him. He was far worse off than they.

Donny watched the other two leave and things felt… Marginally less stressful. At least Donny didn’t have to be paranoid about sizing up with Ezra and Takeshi. That being said when Michiko said she’d take care of the dishes Donny stood up with his own bowl too. ”I-I-I’ll help t-too!” Mamoru seemed busy at this moment and Donny was almost certain his table was done anyways. He’d follow Michiko into the kitchen and take care of the dishes. ”Y-You should take care of the c-c-cake. I’ll clean these.”

Michiko smilde at Donny when he offered to help. Oh thank you Donny-Kun. Once in the kitchen she placed the dishes at the sink and pulled out the cheese cake, Donny told her she should worry about that while he cleaned. She nodded and pulled out a serving spatula and side plates. She expertly cut up the cake into small pieces, enough for everyone to have a piece if they wanted, and while she assumed Mamoru was going to continue to help everyone, she placed the plates onto serving platters and placed them near the entrance of the dining hall.

She then said to Donny as she came over to help dry., You are so kind, using your own food to feed the class. I’ll make sure they will pay you back accordingly.

Donny felt all warm and tingly as he heard Michiko’s compliments. It was nice to be useful. And while a haunting echo whispered in the back of his mind Donny drowned it out with the sound of the water and Michiko’s voice. He didn’t want to hear about the past right now. ”It’s n-n-no problem. I-I-I was gunna eat a lot a-anyways.” As he washed the dishes Donny felt his hand getting much wetter than usual. When he looked he frowned. It looked like he cut his finger, or rather, ripped the skin on his meat bag. He could see his black mass seeping out though fortunately he could keep his form together well enough to not let it bleed out everywhere. It was just a small tear through so he wouldn’t need much more than a bandaid to cover it up. He could stitch it up back in his dorm.

”Ah. I cut m-my finger. C-Could you get me a b-bandaid?”

Michiko looked down at his cut and immediately noticed two things. The Lack of blood and the color. She never had seen black blood before. It must be apart of his quirk. She didn’t press as she quickly moved to the first aid kit left out from Hitomi using it on Acion and grabbed a band aid, quickly applying ointment to it with surprisingly well practiced ease She took Donny’s hand into her own and wrapped the finger he cut. There all better. Also, don’t be silly, you may have planned on eating a lot...but that’s still food that you didn’t eat. They need to pay their way as well.” She said as she threw the wrapper away and washed her own hands.

Donny quickly took his finger back and clenched it into a fist. ”Don’t freak Donny. Don’t freak. It’s just a small cut she didn’t see anything. Keep talking about food and she’ll forget about it.” Clearing his throat Donny continued to wash the dishes. He was almost done anyways, and this one he was more careful about the knife in the water. He made sure to wash that one first and wiped t dry. ”It’s… Its cool. No sweat. Foods’ food. Uh… Dishes done. Dessert?” Donny cleared the sink of the dishes, soap, and anything that might clog the drain. He was hoping to get some cake now.

And so Donny went to get cake. He wasn’t expecting anything unusual at first. But this cake was damn good, more so than they usually are. Donny tends to like anything that goes into his mouth but this was probably the best cheesecake he’s had thus far. As he savored his cake he looked to Michiko and decided to chat with her. ”So uh… You in the H-H-Hero course too? A1 or A2?” Donny has seen most of his fellow classmates but admittedly he’s seen a lot come and go. At this point he’s not too sure who’s in what class.

Michiko smiled as she folded her arms and leaned her hip against the counter. Nope. she said as she brushed some hair from her face over her ear. ”Takeshi just transferred from A-3 to this one after school was out. Apparently the principal felt he would be a better fit here. I still have a year before I enter high school. I start tomorrow at the Middle school around the corner. “ She then added at his sure confusion to come. ”I’ve been living with Takeshi for the last few months. He got special permission for me to live with him as he’s my legal guardian now.

Surely that would be odd, as he was only two years older. Not unheard of, but still odd. So I'll be living here with you guys! It's exciting honestly. she added with a giggle.

”Oh. That’s… Weird.” Donny said plainly. Michiko was still going to middle school but the school lets her stay here? He supposed that if she was living dependently with Takeshi that would make sense, but they didn’t seem the type to be in that bad of straights. Donny wasn’t sure why, but he had a feeling they were probably loaded. But this school was full of weirdos anyways. ”So you have to l-l-l-live with your brother… D-Do you not have any family in H-Hosu?” Donny then realized how insensitive he might have just sound and tried to backpedal. ”N-N-Not that I’m trying to p-p-p-pry or anything! I just think it’s k-kinda weird. I mean I g-g-guess it’s not like I know h-how you guys live, or anything…”

Donny went back to his cake, finishing the rest in one bite. He felt like a fool for not really thinking that maybe Michiko had a personal family reason for her living arrangements that a stranger like Donny had no business knowing. He had let his curiosity and the casual mood get the better of him. He felt obligated to say something in repentance. ”I uh… I’m actually not from Hosu, or Japan even. I grew u-u-up in the United States. Used to s-stay with my grandpa, till I got here.”

She hesitated. What should she say? Her reasoning was not the normal story for sure… If she really said what happened that would look bad for Takeshi, no matter his intentions. Even so, she really didn’t even consider her family family anymore...they were dead to her. Takeshi was the only one who was loving and caring enough to her to be considered family...he really was her guardian since they were little. He always took care of her, made sure she was happy, warm, protected. She really could see him as her father...which was super weird as he was only two years older, but he definitely fit the bill sometimes. He knew her better than her own parents. He knew her dreams, her fears and he did everything he could to make them a realization. He risked his own life and position in the family to free her. So she didn't have to go through with...it, and be stuck forever.

Apparently Donny notice the hesitation and look on her face to quickly try to backpedal, even revealing something about himself. She would have never have guessed he lived in the United States, this surprised her truly, and she was grateful. Foreigners were always odd and usually shunned...at least that was her experience. Him revealing that to her was a big show of trust.

”I would have never had Guess Donny-kun. Also to answer your question, I do not have any other family. Takeshi is it, he’s been taking care of me since I was really little.”

”Ah. I-I see. I uh… It’s good then. I mean, that you have T-Takeshi to take care of you. He s-s-seems nice.” Frankly Takeshi intimidated Donny, but perhaps that was just an image he had to cultivate. If Donny’s hunch was right, that maybe Michiko and Takeshi’s family were dead or something and thus forcing the older brother to take care of Michiko, than it’ll only make sense that Takeshi started to be scary in order to dissuade any trouble makers from bothering him or his sister. It was guesswork really but Donny didn’t intend to pry any further. He should just keep talking about food.

”Y-Y-Y-Your cake is delicious by the way! Better than what I was going to make a-anyways. Uh, w-w-why don’t we share this cake with t-t-the others? Yeah, I’ll j-just go ahead and t-t-t-take some out to the dining a-a-area!” Donny tried to prevent further embarrassment and took the remaining cake and some extra plates and forks. ”Ah, uh… A-And thanks for all your help, Michiko-san. Y-You’re a real life saver, you know? I d-don’t think I c-could have m-m-made this cake myself without y-y-y-y-your help.” Donny just felt more and more embarrassed as he tried his best to cover up his faux pas with Michiko. ”Focus on the food Donny, focus on the food!”

Michiko nodded when he said it was good she had Takeshi. It really was, her life would have been absolutely horrid without him...especially if what her family planned for her went through. He then complimented her dish and she smiled sweetly, Aw..thank you. I agree, lets take it out.” As she moved with him to the platters he then thanked her for her help. She placed a hand on his shoulder. ”Your welcome. I don’t know about life saver but I was glad to help. I love to bake so it’s not an issue for me. I Sure would like to learn some of your tricks with cooking though, Would that be ok?”

When he would answer she would give him a big smile, then walk into the room then saying out loud to everyone. ”Alright! We have Cheese cake! Who would like some?”

Kaida Baeumont

Jett Haven

Afterward talking to Ms. Mako, Jett walked into the dorm, trying to make a beeline for the stairs in case Haruka, Fumika and her sister were in the lobby. He didn’t look around just keeping his head down, He wasn’t going to give up on Haruka, but… he will give her some space for now. He heard sounds of his fellow classmates talking and getting ready for the dinner donny made them. While it sounded good, He still might find it awkward to be sitting near her after what happened, even in the same room really.

Just as he made it to the stairs he heard a familiar voice with a heavy accent. “Hey! Wait one moment Jett!” He glanced behind him to see Kaida, now out of her uniform and dressed up in what looked like an english riding outfit. Boots and all. She wore it well.

Kaida had come down a few minutes earlier, while she didn’t talk to anyone in particular, she was taking in at looking at all of her new former classmates. Seeing how they reacted to each other. She had heard of the commotion outside, not knowing what it was, only that Jett was involved. She had seen the look on his face when he came in, it was clear he wasn’t his normal self, and she did steal a peek to see him depressed outside. She was worried about him, It was weird she knew this. She only met him a few hours earlier. But she wanted to make him feel better. Just like she felt when she hugged ms. Retha

She stopped in front of him and looked at him for a moment. Suddenly she didn’t know what to say. She blushed as she placed her hands behind her back and twisted side to side just slightly. A...re you alright? You seem to be really down right now... She asked, in French while there were others around them still. She couldn’t understand why her face was red when she was speaking to Jett.

Jett gave a small smile. Partly because she was speaking french to keep it more private, and partly because she was caring enough to come over, just like Mina was earlier. He shook his head and spoke in French in return. “I’m fine, thank you for asking. Just had an unexpected encounter with...an old friend. Didn’t end well.

Kaida gave a frown She didn’t have old friends...so she couldn’t know exactly what he was feeling. But the look on his face compared to earlier in the day with his warm smile...it was clear it effected him a lot. She lowered her head slightly, I’m sorry… That must have been really hard for you... She said, while Jett nodded and tried not to look her in the eye by looking around the room. When he looked back to her, she was suddenly very close to him and reaching her arms up around his neck. His eyes were wide as she pulled herself up in a close embrace, Her cheek against his as she had to be on her tippy toes to do so. Squeezing herself against him as she practically was being held by his neck with the crook of her elbows. She held the hug for a bit, trying to convey how she was there for him.

Jett was shocked at the sudden show of affection, though he admitted, he did enjoy it. The hug was warm, and she smelt like lavender. After a moment he wrapped his arms around her waist to return the hug, and after a moment, it seemed that was she was waiting for as she slowly released him with a smile. Still speaking in french he blushed. Thank you Kaida...

Of course, whenever I am sad and need some cheering up, Hugs always do the trick. If you ever need another one, Ill always gladly give you another hug. She said with a smile and even with a blush of her own. So, are you still going to your room? Or are you going to stay down here and eat with the rest of us?

I uh... He looked at the dining room where everyone was gathering. Maybe, I’m going to go change first, if that’s ok. He said glancing back at her.

Kaida nodded, OK! Ill save you a seat! She said, excited, bouncing slightly on the balls of her feet. She smiled at him before turning and going to find a seat that was next to Dulga and open for Jett. While she was finding one, she almost Ran into a cute girl carrying cookies for everyone. Oh excuse me, I didn’t mean to almost run into you.@Ryonara

Jett turned and quickly move up the stairs towards his room, he didn’t look to the front door where Roy and his party just walked in during their hug.

As she went on about morality he sighed, True, blackmail was perhaps not the best thing to do, nor was it heroic. But something had to get her attention as she was a spoiled brat. She called his bluff, telling him to share it. Calling him a bully. But she seemed to be missing one little thing.

Sighing. ”You seem to be missing the key to blackmail. I wouldn’t say blackmail though, as it requires me to demand of money from you, or some monetary gain, It’s more making sure lies don’t spread. I have no intention in sharing this if you just heed my words. I’m not going to share it to just share it. Looking at her directly, “I am not one to deliberately hurt a fellow student. Nor Do I want that false rumor to spread around. I am NOT a Villain. His last Sentence was full hate and distaste for the word, he seemed adamant to distance himself from it.

Though it would seem despite my explanation, it seemed that you already made your mind up. Hence why I took the video. The choice is yours really. He added before looking to Roy. Who asked for the video and simply added, “No, Defeats the whole purpose if there is more than one copy I can’t keep an eye on.

He was surprised though that Roy was willing to just go back to the dorms and not to the nurses to deal with some serious wounds. The boy had Grit, and he respected that. The other boy who he fought also had some gashes but didn’t seem really fazed. Though he thought both were stupid for hurting themselves while training, He was pleased to see there were others similar to him.

As he thought this, his left arm began to tremor slightly from the pain of the spiderweb of third degree burn on his arm, blisters quickly forming. including the nerves still waking up from being paralyzed. While it should be taken care of, he deemed it worth to train yet once more on his ability to ignore the pain. Though clear for them too see because of his tank top, he made no indication that he was even thinking about it, or feeling it.

Roy then mentioned to get some food, and he nodded in agreement as he gave a sidelength glance at Ezra. From what he could tell, he seemed very similar to The girl he just fought, with just his presence. His hardened eyes and features, along with his gait shared a more detailed than most would see. He saw one who didn’t live in the lap of luxury, like the blonde snotty girl behind him. Seeming to earn his place here. Sadly he didn’t see too much of his fight, so he couldn’t place if he had former training or not. But looking at Roy, it would seem he was formable. Perhaps this decision to move to 1-A was the right one.
Yashiro Michiko

Michiko nodded and started placing bowls on multiple platters. She smiled at Acion’s reaction to her little roast, but suppressed a giggle at the short pink haired girl saying she got a bad pickle. She moved some platters to the counter where Acion and Tomoe and Hitomi were.

After she noticed Acion had cut himself, she found it funny that sheep girl was so worried over a little cut. Takeshi and her other brothers normally walked in with serious gashes, including herself and they were told to clean up before dinner. It was strange to see how others reacted to such a tiny cut that normally her brothers would not even bother to wrap.

She looked down to the pink haired girl as she looked up at her with stars in her eyes asking about the cookies. She was adorable. Looking to Hitomi as she was offered as collateral for a cookie. Uh… I’m always willing to have more friends, but the cookies were meant for everyone here. She offered the platters to all three of them .

”However, Dinners ready, no more cookies till everyone eats. Don’t want to spoil your appetite! Donny-kun worked hard on this, we should be grateful for his hard work. Now please…” She pointed to the platters and looked at all of them.
“Take these out to the others! Chop chop.out of the kitchen. ” She said sweetly and almost motherly to them.

Yashiro, Takeshi

Takeshi shook his head at the blonde's last comment before entering the girls locker room. No, perhaps not unless she challenged him, but he would have to find out more info on the girl...perhaps ask Michiko, she was really good with pro hero’s and their families. She had a gifted mind and remembered almost everything.

He picked up his phone and looked over as another student, one from his last class came up to him, bloodied. What the hell was wrong with the students here? Though he was impressed with the boys control over his pain, most would be almost screaming in pain. When he mentioned how women were fascinating creatures, he could hear the deep sarcasm in his voice and only tilted his head to the side while shrugging.

He introduced him as Roy Kusayangagi, bringing up that he noticed his quirk. Which on the other hand, Takeshi had noticed Roy’s was very similar to his family's style. Though the opposite and used light instead. Still, his grasp of his quirk was more intricate than Takeshi’s. He had noticed some of his abilities with his fight with the tall one, and of course the hand he made with Ms. Mako.

He did mentioned that he spoke with his sister already. He raised an eyebrow, Thankfully he didn’t say anything more than she just said he was good. He bowed his head. Thank you... as he was complemented.

He watched as he suddenly ran off towards the girls locker room and hid in the blind spot for a moment he didn’t understand but it suddenly clicked. Despite how childish it was, Even Takeshi had resorted to scaring his sister. He knew that look of excitement anywhere. He quickly opened his phone and clicked on the camera and he pressed record.

Sure enough after a couple of seconds, the door opened and the blonde came out. Catching her scream and getting red in the face with embarrassment. She then yelled at Roy. He just cleared his voice as he started to walk away, loud enough to gain her attention while pressing the play button. After hearing the recording of herself screaming. He looked her in the eyes with a sly smug look of his own. “Yes...to answer your question… I will go ‘all out’, I’m sure others would love to see a prim and proper girl like yourself be scared out of her wits. Perhaps someone in particular with blonde hair himself?” He said as he slipped the phone into his pocket. He had saw Jett and Mina together sitting on the bench with a worried look on her face. That and how she sat with him at lunch, and left with him. Perhaps he meant a little more to her than normal. He was sure she wouldn’t want Jett to see this embarrassing video.

Jett didn’t answer Kasuke as she told him to get some rest. Still in that concerning tone. He sat there for a bit after everyone had left. The warm breeze of the evening blowing against his face, as he went through what happened just recently over and over again. Realizing what an ass he was and while at the same time, how stubborn Haruka was. But how different she was now that she had lost her leg. She wasn’t the same bad ass, center of attention, funny dork he met back when he was ten…

He pulled the necklace back over his head and held it in his other hand that was free of the tie he had wrapped around. He rubbed his thumb against the fake jewel as thousands of different thoughts and memories of Haruka rushed through his mind. But, one did come to his mind.

Six years before

Jett was walking towards school, having a doctor's appointment earlier in the day and was dropped off at home because his mom and dad had an emergency to attend to as heros. Even so, it was still early enough to make it… Or at least, it should have been, if he hadn’t been sidetracked by the sudden sound of snoring coming from a nearby pine shrub. He stopped for a moment, unsure about what he heard at first but made his way over to the pine shrub. It didn’t look very large… but upon closer inspection, it seemed like all but the bigger branches of the shrub had been trimmed off, leaving an amorphous orb of outer needles which could be brushed aside, revealing a shady hollow underneath. And there, nestled between two particularly smooth forks of the central trunk was…

The girl lay utterly still, her arms folded behind her head and her legs propped against the other side of the fork. Her eyes were shut, and save for the rustling of her short cropped black hair in the breeze - which could easily have been mistaken at a glance for just a bit more of the shrubbery from the outside - and the steady rising and falling of her stomach with each breath, she was completely still. As he parted the branches to peer in, however, a ray of light shone through the gap, leaving splashes of sunshine dancing across her form like a mosaic in motion. One such ray of lambent light passed sharply over her eyes, and the lid of one fluttered immediately open.

“Who’s there?” The girl’s voice sounded cold, almost defensive. Perhaps “hostile” would have been a better word, if it weren’t for the devil-may-care attitude that positively seemed to emanate from her. She stared him down with a single golden eye, but didn’t even bother to unfold her arms or lift her head from where she’d been lying. If it weren’t for the fact she’d stopped snoring, it would have almost been like she’d never woken up at all. Even her voice sounded too lazy to actually bother caring that someone had found her napping spot.

Her eye wandered up and down, looking him over from his head to his feet, and then, seemingly satisfied, shutting once again. “A student, huh? Whatever. If they sent somebody to look for me, it’d be some big dumb teacher. ‘Sides, the sun’s still at an angle, so class probably hasn’t even started yet…” She gave a slight shrug, then rolled over to one side, turning her face away from him. “Oi. Lower that branch. You’re makin’ it hard to sleep.”

Jett was speechless for a bit as she went on about a few things. He was just still surprised that there was a girl sleeping in a pine. So very odd, and her carefree attitude was intriguing. He had never seen this girl before at his school, and he knew many kids. The uniform she was wearing didn’t look familiar, either. It had a black jacket rather than the blue one he was familiar with. And yet, she was right outside the school gates, and had mentioned something about a teacher… As if to confirm his suspicions, he heard heavy footfalls jogging rapidly past the bush, and saw a large shape crossing the grounds, looking about, then circling around the side of the school and out of sight. “Harukaze-kun! Where did you run off to?!” A man that sounded distinctly like Jett’s homeroom teacher was shouting something in the distance… and my oh my, he did not sound happy. “Geez, so noisy,” The girl on the branch grumbled, rolling back over with an irritated sigh.

Wait she was in his class? He looked over to where he heard his homeroom teacher, who looked straight at Jett. “Haven, have you seen a black haired student with gold eyes around here?”

Jett hesitated for a moment, looking around for a moment before his eyes connected with the girls. She was blocked still by the pine so his teacher couldn’t see her. After a moment's pause he looked back to his homeroom teacher. “No Sensei! I think I would remember someone with gold eyes!”

The teacher sighed and started to walk away. “Make sure you are in class on time Haven!”

Jett only nodded and glanced back at the girl who was Harukaze and smiled.

Harukaze blinked in momentary surprise, but shrugged and rolled back over a moment later, evidently unconcerned. “He’s gonna be super mad if he finds out you lied, ya’ know. You sure you don’t wanna tell him I’m here?” She observed casually, casting a sly grin back over her shoulder and down at him.

He shrugged, as he looked away. “Nope…not really. He’s a jerk anyways.” He glanced up just catching the sly grin at the last moment. “I an’t no snitch.” he said jokingly. He then said, “My name’s Jett by the way. It’s nice to meet you.” He offered his hand to shake her hand.

“Suit yourself,” The girl said, giving another apathetic shrug. As he reached out his hand, it was clear that she noticed it, but evidently, she didn’t feel particularly inclined to descend from her little perch to return the gesture. “Jett Haven, huh?” She mumbled to herself, evidently having pieced together his full name from his earlier conversation with the teacher. She gave a second glance to his hair, then nodded knowingly. “A foreigner, but you use slang… So it’s not that you’re a foreigner, but rather that your parents are foreign. And, judging by the fact that the idiot who was gullible enough to believe you remembered you by name and told you not to be late, you’re in the same year as me. But, since he felt the need to remind you, and since you lied, you’re not a very good student, are you?” She rattled off a list of deductions with surprising speed, sounding more confident in each successive bit of reasoning than the one which had come before it. By the end of her little address, one might practically have expected her to slip into a deerstalker cap and explain that it was all “elementary, my dear Watson.”

Harukaze chuckled to herself, a fresh grin appearing on her face. She seemed rather proud of her observational skills, to say the least. “Ah, how bad. My parents always warned me about hanging out with people who tell lies and cut classes… Ooh, and foreigners are supposedly really casual and rude, right? What a shame… I might be influenced to become a delinquent. How bad, how bad indeed.”

He frowned when she didn't shake his hand, but let it drop to his side. He couldn't help but shrug as she pegged him for a student who gets into trouble. Sounding awfully like Sherlock Holmes, a book his father read to him growing up. When she went on to explain how foreigners were rude, how she shouldn't hang with people who lie and cut classless. He raised his eyebrow, and said in return. “ Foreigners are rude and casual? I was just helping a pretty girl hide from ’some big dumb teacher’ so she can continue to nap through class on her own accord. And the only thanks I received was rudeness and insults.” He sighed as he said it nonchalantly “I hardly doubt you would be influenced by a foreigner like me. But I'll hang out with you if that's what you're getting at.” Saying with slight smile.

“Hmm, it seems this one doesn’t understand sarcasm…” The girl mumbled to herself, sounding as though she was taking notes, or perhaps narrating a nature documentary. “I guess I could let it slide since you said I was pretty, though... “ She trailed off, before giving him a wary look. “Although, if you’re expecting me to act like I owe you anything, don’t get your hopes up. Even if that guy figured out where I was, there’s no way he could catch me, anyhow.” Another shrug punctuated this statement. “But, I guess this is a nice place for napping, and it’d be a pain if I could only use it this once, so… thanks, I guess.”

“That wasn't so hard was it? You're welcome by the way. “ he said with a big ol grin. “Well have a good nap. I'll cash in that ‘I owe you’ later. It's only fair.” He added as he started to walk away. He heard her clearly. But he ignored it, as well as the cry of “Hey, wait just a minute!” that rang out behind him as he left. Huh. So it was possible to get a rise out of her, he thought to himself as his he held his big grin on his face as he headed to class.

Homeroom that day started late. The teacher didn’t show up until almost fifteen minutes after the bell rang, and had been seen out the window running back and forth across the school grounds. By the time he shambled into class, he seemed exhausted. The bored-looking transfer student he dragged in behind him, however, hardly even seemed winded. He delivered a breathless excuse of some sort, but his words slurred together as he brushed the sweat from his brow and flopped down into a chair. Honestly, the poor man looked like he’d just run a marathon, and given the absolute death glare he was giving to the dark-haired girl slouching in the corner, it was pretty obvious to Jett what the cause of his present discomposure was.

After a few sputtered commands, the girl seemed to finally realize why she was standing at the front of the class - that, or she had just been stubbornly intent on being as obtuse as possible, and so had refused to comply until it was absolutely demanded of her. But, when the time came for her to make her self-introduction…

“‘Yo.” She raised two fingers in what could either have been a wave or a salute, and gave a cheeky grin. “I’m Harukaze Haruka. I guess I’m gonna be in this class from now on.” She scratched her head, and glanced back to the teacher, who simply glowered at her - but she just kept grinning as if she didn’t even notice. ”Let’s see… I honestly don’t care what you call me, so long as it’s not stupid. I’m faster than anyone, super tough, and I can do anything if I put my mind to it. Basically, fate’s on my side, so mess with me if you dare!” She gave a raucous laugh, and put her hands at her hips, standing sharply upright as if she was trying to tower over the rows of confused students sitting in front of her despite her own meager stature. Her little boast was almost immediately cut off by the teacher, who dismissed her with a “That’s enough!” and sent her off to go sit in the far back corner of the room, away from the other students. That seemed to suit her just fine, however, as she spent more of that class looking out the window than she did paying attention to anything the teacher said, and was called out no less than four times for putting her feet up on her desk. If one had to describe her behavior, the best word for it would probably be “theatrical.” It was as if she was trying to play up every single stereotype she could to be the most mysterious and menacing new arrival as she could. As for whether it worked or not…

By the end of the first week since her arrival, almost everyone knew about Harukaze Haruka, the rumored problem child. However, almost nobody had spoken to her, and of those bold few who had, they’d usually just ended up fighting. It was immediately clear right from the very start that this girl had absolutely no interest in making friends, and no concern for the world around her. Even when she was in the same room, it was like she was miles away. And yet, it was precisely because of how far away she seemed that one almost couldn’t help but pay attention to her. She was a nuisance, to be sure… but she was still somehow larger than life, and one almost felt compelled to laugh or gawk at her ridiculous behavior.

Despite all this, Jett was perhaps the only one who was insane enough to keep on trying. Smiling and saying hello when ever he had an opportunity. Offering her to sit with him at lunch. Each and every time it was clear she had no interest in becoming his friend, and more often than not, he’d hardly have any time to so much as speak to her before she was gone again. Sometimes, a black blur would speed through the hallways, pursued by several angry students. Others, he’d hear shouts from outside and look out the window to find what looked like a fight against something that couldn’t be seen. Or others, he’d simply catch a glimpse of that tiny figure, settled alone in the corner of the cafeteria - but by the time he could get through the crowd to reach her, she’d already be finished and out the door. It seemed impossible to get close to her, much less understand her - that is, until that night...

JoJo

Kasuke Mina

Yashiro, Takeshi

Takeshi had spent a little time putting his things away while placing her sister's luggage neatly on her bed for her to go through when she got up. First thing he did was pull out the stands for their swords and placed their swords gently on their place in a reverent manner. He then continued to place all of his clothes into the closet. Then he unpacked his armor, placing it on the bed as he then started to undress. He put some black Gi pants on while only wearing a white tank top. A few nasty scars that looked like sword cuts or stab wounds could be seen from what the tank top didn’t cover. Deciding to get some training in before dinner which was called out. Reaching for bokken, he jogged out of the dorm after closing his door.

Joann turned herself around and started to head towards the gymnasium, it looked like she’d get something pretty to look at after all, JoJo cracked a slightly smile in satisfaction and continued her jog now with a destination. While on her way there she couldn’t help but remember what happened this morning, that she all but destroyed an entire section of it in an outburst of energy. She briefly stopped to look down at her hands, she could feel her quirk under her skin passing electrical jolts from one fingertip to the other and all the way up her arms, down to her feet and back up to her head. Even her eyes felt jittery which was normal her quirk increased her action and reaction speed so much so when it got high enough her body stopped checking with the brain and moved on basic instinct. It took JoJo a second to notice she had been standing there thinking about this for a while and took to running a bit faster towards the gym, the faster motion charged her quirk more and soon enough random jolts of electricity could be seen flying from her steps every so often, only stopping when she reached the door leading to the inside of the gym.

Mina was close behind, keeping up even when Joann started to run faster. The smaller girl hadn’t been inside the gym at all today, so was a little bit curious to see what it looked like. Maybe she could do a little workout to shake off the mental fatigue and stretch her muscles out to recover from the morning’s exercise.

Takeshi already knew the school grounds like the back of his hand. It was habit for him to study out his area where he would be spending most of his days for many reasons. Despite the blunder that happened that morning with Reina, he knew exactly where to go. As he came to the door of the gym he noticed a girl with what seemed to be electricity sparking around her. Raising an eyebrow, as he wondered if that was natural or she was just angry or something, about to let out some steam. Either way, she would be interesting to fight. Those with electrical quirks were incredibly fast themselves, or just their attacks. Both were great for training as he was quick, it was always good to train yourself to be even faster. He had also noticed another blonde girl running with her, however she had no visible quirks though she did look very athletic. Perhaps she would prove to have an interesting quirk as well.

He came up behind both of them and got both of their attentions while clearing his throat ” Excuse me... He said politely and waited for them to turn around. ”My name is Yashiro Takeshi, I am looking for someone to spar with, perhaps either of you can indulge me? He said with a slight bow, while his eyes continued to look at both of them. He did notice two others, who were in his class of Villain studies, were already sparring as well.

Joann turned around in a flash, if she had long hair it would have smacked him across the face. Admittedly, she was only going to the gym to see if it was repaired, but she has been itching for a scrap since she didn’t get to fight that mouthy girl in the courtyard. Just like the trio in the courtyard she had never seen the black hair male student neither had she met the two fellow students duking it out already in an arena, just how many students attended this school was all could think at this moment. When she finally snapped back to reality the male was bowing to her politely and asking her to be his sparring partner.

“Sure, I don’t use those gadgets, though but you can if you want, ” she explained, shrugging, turning around and walking deeper into the gym “I’ll be waiting for you in one of the rings”

Mina’s reply however, was a weary sigh. ”You two knock yourselves out. I came here to recover from a fight, not to have another one. I’ll be over at the machines, watching,” she responded, before heading to the locker room to change.

Takeshi only gave a hint of a smile before she started walking. Looking towards the blond as she declined he gave her a nod then quickly followed the first girl. All I need is my Bokken. He simply said as he followed her to the ring. He figured he would at least though start without it, She seemed like a somewhat trained fighter by the look of her build. Once in the ring he slid his bokken into his sash and stretched his arms for a quick moment before taking a very relaxed defensive posture. His arms were not up all the way, but more near his waist. Not that he was over confident, but if she was indeed another well trained fighter, perhaps she would note his sloppy form. ”I’m ready, when you are.”

His stance earned a smirk from her, causing her to look over to the side, it reminded her of her dad when he would train with her as a kid; it was sloppy and full of holes, perfect for a beginner to learn to pick it apart. JoJo wasn’t too keen on being taken lightly, but if he was trying to measure her up, she’d just have to do the same, placing her leg foot farther in front of the right and her guard more at a tilted angle performing the Orthodox boxing stance. Ducking down low she decided to test his reaction speed, all at once JoJo disappeared in a burst of electrical discharge before reappearing a few inches in front of him moving her right arm forward to punch him. The right jab was slow much slower than she would normally throw it, but it was a feint, if he moved to dodge it in the correct way then her left hook would catch him across the upper jaw line.

Despite his stance, his muscles were tense, ready to spring into action. From what he gathered, knowing she had an electrical quirk, he was prepared for speed. Still. It gave him a bit of a shock when she suddenly appeared in front of him. Damn that was fast. His eyes quickly assessed the situation with her throwing a right jab, he swept his arm up to block it but he did notice her footing twisting for her left side, as it would for a more powerful punch. It was a feint, and he ducked down just barely missing her left fist. He used this moment to roll forward and to the side, just to her left. Rolling to his and raising his arms once again into a defensive position (Slightly higher this time but not much). But he did not press forward. He still wanted to see more of her fighting style, to judge her weakness. His face was blank as he watched her.

Despite his relaxed stance, he concluded that she was going for a feint and just barely was able to dodge her left hook albeit barely. This left her wide open for a counter attack to which the boy didn’t take it giving Joann enough time to pull back her punch before it was fully extended out there, reeling back her left she switch her boxing stance to southpaw in seconds she was getting faster per action even with her blink technique that she just used. Two steps back and one to the right getting her body realigned to send out another combination of straight jabs leading with the right jab two of which were who on punched the last was another feint that would lead into a left uppercut, these were basic attacks to test out how good he was and to see if she could force him to bring out his quirk.

He was impressed when she changed her stance to southpaw. Not many fighters could do that, not that he was a boxer, but to change up one’s stance smoothly like that without thinking proved she was a competent fighter. When she followed up with basic attacks after her first one, also made it clear that she was feeling him out as well. He had a few things going for him, she didn’t know how his quirk, and that he trained highly in hand to hand. He was just saving his strength at the time being, by moving his head back and forth at her strikes. Just enough for them to not connect.

However, her last move, the uppercut grazed his jaw as pulled his head back to dodge it. He fell backwards on purpose to his left side, reaching back with his left arm to catch himself long enough for him to twist his hip and launch a kick towards her head. If it connected or not he would use the momentum of the twist to use his left foot to propel him away from her in a roll to his feet.

JoJo could feel that grazed him connecting with his chin slightly, retracting her fist she dipped lower and moved in on him giving chase even though he was falling back. Her eyes darted over his body, noticing that he could have stopped himself long before and this gave away the fact he was going for another attack, though her brain was already being overloaded with the combat her body was picking up the slack. When the kick was launched JoJo put up her forearm to block it, then before he could perform anything else she wrapped her arm around his lower thigh. Twisting her body, she used her quirk enhanced strength and speed to not only lift him up by the leg but use the momentum to send him flying a short distance towards the edge of the arena. The very second he left her grasp Joann put up her guard and sprinted after him, giving a light leap up and cocking her fist back performing a flying haymaker aimed right for his jaw. This admittedly left her completely open should he dodge or counterattack, as nothing about her quirk protected the girl from aerial or long distance combat.

Takeshi’s eyes narrowed as she gripped his legs, she had insane reflexes to catch his leg with that feint of a fall. Also she had a lot more strength than he imagined with someone with a quirk like hers, he tried to resist being thrown and launching a swift kick to her stomach with his free foot, but it wasn’t fast enough as he found himself in the air. Twisting his body into a somersault before landing on his feet and right knee, facing the girl once again. When he laid eyes on her once more, he saw she was already racing towards him, jumping into the air to deliver powerful punch towards his face. Most would try to block or get out of the way, but she was left open with her haymaker. A reckless move. With surprising speed on his part, he pushed forward a few steps to close the gap between them ducking his head while keeping his eyes on his target and jabbed his left forearm forward. Using his right hand to grip his left hand to brace it and make it all the more stronger, along with his knees locking into position, while using the space between his bicep and forearm of his left arm to protect his face from her attack if she managed to readjust enough to him. His eyes were barely visible from behind his arm as he aimed his attack for her sternum.

Her eyes saw what was coming, even her brain told her what to do in this situation if she be on the ground, she could have done something instead of putting up a weak guard with her free arm to protect her chest area. The punch he threw connected the force of which provided enough stopping power to slow her aerial charge to get her feet back on the ground faster when she landed, which wasn’t too far away from her intended target. All this motion only served to feed her quirk more, she was getting faster and stronger and it was starting to get noticeable to the naked eye as electricity surged around her body in violent intervals. She hit the ground with both feet firmly under her and not even half a second from landing, she was already closing the gap between them yet again guard up to protect her upper body. Once in range JoJo put her left leg in front of her right and went for a swift low kick aimed at his thigh which would be followed up with a high kick that would be directed at his face, it didn’t matter if she only grazed him now the violent storm surrounding her body would give him a shock.

He noticed how much faster she was getting, when she kicked at him low, he met her kick with a block with his leg. A sudden shock ran through him. Wincing as it corsed through him, he still pushed through it and ducked at the second moving away for a moment. As he shook his leg while he assessed the situation. She seemed to be getting stronger as long as she was moving. Fast as well. He could do two things. Keep dodging her attacks and hopefully be fast enough to do so. Or immobilize her quickly. He instantly thought of his Bokken, it being wood, the electricity would not conduct through it. He could use his quirk as well to cover his arms and legs so he can still land punches on her with the shadows providing that required insulation. Or he could use it to lock her foot to the ground. He didn’t think long as he didn’t want to give her time to react so he rushed forward. Seemingly being stupid enough to attack her head on again after being shocked. At the last possible moment, he reached for his bokken and swung fast and hard upwards, aiming for her chin, he would quickly follow up with two more attacks from the right then left. Each strike was powerful yet highly controlled, the clear signs of a highly train swordsman showing now.

Joann grinned when he ran right for her, she was fight happy not stupid and he seemed entirely too well trained to do something so foolish which meant he obviously had a trick up your sleeve. The girl slowed her stride down just enough for her eyes to catch exactly what he was doing and that was taking out some form of object she assumed was a gadget, as he swung it upward she pushed her body low to the ground so fast what looked like an afterimage was created and by the time his right and left strikes connected with the image dispelling it her fist was already cocked back and her body rocketed upward in an attempt to deliver a devastating uppercut. Even if she didn’t connect Joann would disappear just like the beginning of the fight in a field of discharged electricity and appear right behind him sending a flurry of love taps at his joints designed to penetrate through the skin with the electricity and lock up his movement for a little bit thus slowing him down tremendously.

He moved his head back to dodge the uppercut and saw that she suddenly disappeared, Logically the next attack would come from behind, remembering how she was so fast with that first attack. He spun to slash, but he was too slow as the electricity surged through him. His teeth clenched tightly, most men would probably yelp in pain at the sudden charge running through them. But Takeshi was raised in pain, as the scars on his body proved. While this did make it harder for him to move, he pushed through it with a surge of strength, slashing once, across the torso, and another downwards, to her knees, trying to clip the back of them to cause them to buckle.

She lost some speed, but her adaptive instincts still caught onto what he was doing but at this point being so close and so easy go score a real heavy hit she just went for and decided to take the punishment. He was trained better than she was being that her father was quirkless, but the one thing he did for her was teaching her how to take a punch and keep on going, she fell off cliff sides and mountain ranges just to get back up to try again. She pressed on forward as JoJo didn’t want to actually use her blink again and reduce her speed even more so instead she reared her head back and plunged herself to meet him head to head on quite literally. She took those slashes at her knees, however her course never faltered catching him mid action like Joann was on track to smash her forehead on his focusing her energy on a single focal point of impact and shoot the energy outward upon contact from her body throughout his, the action could paralyze him momentarily, cause immense pain or just numb the boy’s body.

Takeshi managed the two hits, but it was clear she was pushing through them. She did not have his level of training, but more brutal force with the ability to take the hits. He saw her rear her head back, anyone could, In his mid swing though he had moved his head to the side away from her headbutt. But she was already in motion when he clipped her legs. Her head slammed into upper chest, just in the crook of his shoulder. The blow caused him to stagger back as he felt like he was stabbed through the shoulder with pure electricity. He lost all feeling in his left arm as his hand went slack to his side while his right hand still held his Bokken. He tried with all his might to move his left arm, inspecting his shoulder quickly to make sure he wasn’t stabbed even though he knew it was just her forehead. His attention quickly went back to the matter at hand as he took the chance while she was on the ground, He leaned down quickly and slashed towards the side of her head and neck, he was planning on stopping the bokken mere centimeters from her if it were to work.

Mina stopped doing doing situps in the corner as she watched the fight, and sat up, giving things her full attention now. This fight had slowly gotten more and more impressive, and Mina was almost starting to want to join in, but she still felt fatigued and achy from fighting underground, and they were exerting a lot themselves. To start fighting one of them now would not be fair or enjoyable, so she stayed sitting where she was, and watched attentively.

Joann did indeed fall after that headbutt in fact she landed square on the ground face first creating a loud thud once she hit. However, instead of taking the time to reassess herself after taking self-inflicted damage the little spark plug turned around on her back just as he was coming down with his sword. She didn’t move enough to dodge it, but she had the reflexes and speed thanks to her quirk to react just enough, quickly stretching all five of her fingers upward like an blade JoJo projected an electrical construct to shoot from her fingertips. Exorcising all the restraint she had forced the ‘blade’ to stop at his neck extending the kindness he showed her.

“Draw?” she asked panting rapidly trying to catch her breath, hand shaking a little as this was the first time she’d ever exorcised this much control over her quirk. If he didn’t agree quick, fast and in hurry one of the two things was going to happen, she’d lose control over the blade and end up piercing him which would in turn cause his sword to go right through her throat, or the blade itself with disappear turning the draw into a complete loss.

Takeshi stood there as they held their weapons to each other throats. He noticed how she was shaking, which was dangerous as her weapon was far more deadlier than his bokken. The students here were reckless and threw their quirk around like it wouldn’t kill anyone. They didn’t understand what it meant to kill someone. They all had it easy. If they truly knew how deadly their own quirk where, they would try to be more careful on when and where they use it.

While his left arm was completely numb and unresponsive, he was far from finished. He had yet to use his own quirk. While one could argue it was foolish not to use his own quirk to defend himself, whereas he might have not been in this position. Despite her position with her construct at his neck, he still was in a far superior position. He could easily move away, strike her face with his foot or knock her her arm away with his bokken. He still wasn’t exhausted like the girl at the end of his wooden Bokken.

While their eyes were focused on each other he gathered his own shadow moved on the ground below their eyesight and repositioned just enough and gathered into a small square. He raised an eyebrow as he then said, “Hardly.” before suddenly the shadow shoot out from the ground, knocking her hand with her ‘weapon’ while pulling his head to the right and flicking his bokken to give her a good tap on the cheek.

She saw everything coming but couldn’t actually do anything about it given her position at the moment, she really wanted him to just agree to the tie because she couldn’t hold this anymore. The second he smacked the hand that was controlling the weapon it all just went south, once her hand moved even an inch she lost the connection and the ‘sword’ exploded created a large orb of violent energy that spread out in all angles. Using the explosion as a diversion JoJo quickly made up to her feet rolling her shoulder then began to look at her hand trying to figure out just how she managed to do the blade trick. Look up and looking right back down she put both hands in the air and yawned “I give” she said before moving her hands back down into her pockets.

Takeshi closed his eyes at the explosion his left arm coming up to block the light. While his body automatically brought his bokken up in a defensive position when she would attack. Though when he locked eyes on his target he saw her looking down at her hands confused. Apparently it was clear she used an advanced technique that she had no control over. This angered Takeshi, It was just to be a spar, but she used a dangerous technique. Then she was so carefree and didn’t care about what she just did. He slipped his bokken into his sash once more and looked at his arm as he felt pins and needles all over it as the feeling started to come back.

”Idiot...” he said shaking his head, not even giving her a proper bow as one would at the end of a spar. It wasn’t a spar anymore. ”Next time you pull a stupid stunt like that, I won’t hold back like I did.” He should have just cracked her in the skull with his bokken. A simple lesson he and all his siblings learned doing something stupid. It would be one thing if they were fighting at full strength with the consent to as hard as they would, like they would in the exams, but a simple spar, this was uncalled for. ”Learn how to control your quirk before you use it on someone. You can kill someone being that careless and stupid while fighting, that’s not what heroes do.” he said as he walked out of the ring.

JoJo snickered as she turned around and headed for the exit of the ring “Holding back, now who’s the idiot, I do what I want and will continue to do so,” she explained, folding her arms around her head after rolling her shoulders “Someone sounds afraid of their quirk and live experiment some of us don’t have the luxury, besides it all turned out fine” she yawned again. She was taught that a fight even on friendly terms was a fight you make sure the other person is face down on the floor or you can’t move anymore, there were plenty of times where her father left a ten year old Joann face down on the living room floor to pick herself back up “Hiding behind that wall of ‘discipline’ and trying to be careful is going to get you killed one day and makes you look stuck up” JoJo finished before leaving

Mina had been watching the whole fight. They were both very good fighters, but the end proved they had a major ideological difference, and in Mina’s opinion, they were both wrong, and both right, in that everything they said about each other was mostly true. Joann was a loose canon who just shrugged off an experiment with a dangerous quirk that, if failed, could have really hurt her opponent. That wasn’t the bad part. The bad part was her attitude. ‘Of course I risked your life. I need to get stronger. Suck it up.’ It was incredibly selfish and rubbed Mina up the wrong way. But the boy was even worse. Threatening her because she threw a curveball, and acting like this wasn’t heroic. What did he think the villains he fought were going to do? Go easy on him and have a fair fight? If Mina was having a friendly spar with another classmate, she wouldn’t even ask the question ‘will this action seriously hurt my opponent?’ because if their inability to defend themselves puts them in the nurse’s office, she’ll have done them a massive favor and they’ll never make that mistake again. She’d never, ever risk their life, though.

Scowling, Mina walked up to Joann as she left the ring. ”You do know there are practice facilities at this school for getting a handle on quirks and controlling them until they’re safe, before you use live students as guinea pigs, right?”

With that said, she entered the ring and walked up to Takeshi. ”And you. Never threaten somebody else like that. This is a school. We’re still learning, and accidents can teach the other person something about avoiding attacks as much as they teach the culprit about the need to control. Either way, threatening to deliberately hurt a girl and a classmate for real? That’s not what Heroes do.” Walking away with her trademark cold, haughty manner, the rich girl had just schooled both of them on what true ‘stuck up’ looked like.

“Training simulators and little robot toys, are only going to get you so far all the stuff is designed with safety in mind; if you want to get better and keep getting better you learn and develop in motion and push for it with everything you have” Joann said back with a shrug having zero intentions of apologizing for something she felt should come natural to everyone here “If you’re afraid of getting hurt don’t get on the bike, if you’re afraid of hurting someone don’t come to this school, if you’re afraid to push yourself and grow in motion don’t consider yourself a player and stay on the sidelines; you’re a man suck it up and quit crying” she explained before continuing to walk herself off back to the dorm.

He sighed as the girls were naive to what he was saying. “You two obviously do not know the meaning of a spar. A mock battle where the worst thing you could give your opponent is a concussion/ using your quirk in a non lethal way. “ he said loud enough for them to hear as they were walking away. “Live training is where you are actively trying to hurt your opponent without trying to kill them. But. Being reckless with a move you cannot control on another person is not training. It’s pure stupidity. A real battle where your life is on the line is a different beast altogether. While you still shouldn’t use a move you can’t control, unless absolutely necessary. We are to apprehend the villains, not stoop down to their level and kill them.”

Aiming his next sentence at Jojo. “I am not afraid to use my quirk, I know my limitations and I know my strengths. While I still train as much as I can to build it, I will not risk the lives of my fellow students to fulfill my own agenda to become stronger, again that is what a villain does. I also wouldn’t be criticizing my choice not to use my quirk till necessary. I was holding my own without it.”

His eye twitched as he felt burning on his arm, glancing down he noticed the 3rd degree blisters forming on his arm from that last explosion. Though he didn’t cry out in pain, or try to hold it. His face was almost that of emotionalist. He had far worse injuries dealt by his own father.

Looking to Mina,[color=bc8dbf] “do not dare put words into my mouth. I would never intentionally hurt a student. I would have just have knocked her out instead of halting my blow to her neck. Do not speak of me like I will, I will not have my name sullied like that.” Mina’s response was to simply look over her shoulder, with a barbed smile, and reply ”Or what? You ‘won’t hold back’ with me either?” Before heading into the girl’s locker room.
