In the middle of chatting with the guy - Alexandros, Lucky added - a cute, dark skinned girl wearing a blue and white bikini crashed into him and dropped her phone as a result. "Oh, are you o-" Before Lucky could finish his question, she had moved away towards the bar.

Seems like apologising wasn't something the cutie was known for, however. Alexandros explained that the Queen Bee rarely apologised, causing Lucky to raise an eyebrow, sceptically. "I'm sure she's nice enough. Is she really that popular that she's considered a Queen over here?" Back in India, he had never really encountered a social hierarchy in school. In public, however, definitely. Rarely were anybody ostracised because of their social class, unless you were part of the untouchable group - then, everybody hated you.

Lucky noticed the Queen Bee talking to another guy by the bar, something about a tiki torch. Just as Lucky was going to grab himself a drink from the bar, he heard Alexandros antagonising the guy the Queen Bee was talking to. Sighing, the tanned skinned boy gave up on his quest for a drink to try and stop anything before it got out of hand, giving the Queen Bee a smile as a greeting.

"C'mon now, Alexandros, was there any need for that?" Not that Lucky had inkling about what was going on, but he thought it would probably be best to stop things from getting too unpleasant.

A heavy sigh escaped Cara's lips, dropping her spoon beside the bowl she was once having soup from. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy changing into a snake and hanging out with the group of misfits in their animal form, it's just the fact that it had been a year since she had gotten her powers yet she still couldn't adjust to the no-limb situation. Cara eyed Angel as she entered the room to change into her coyote form. At least the newbie was lucky enough to have four legs instead of none. She waited for Angel to leave the room, deciding to take the moment to think about who her target was.

Janet Garrison. The name sounded familiar, like a prickling at the back of her mind, but she wasn't very sure where she heard it. Cara mentally flicked through a list of people from her class, crossing out each name and face as she tried narrowing down on the familar Miss Garrison.

'Ah, now I remember...'

Janet was one of the many girls hidden away at the back of the lecture hall, the shy and quiet type. Possibly smart too, Cara guessed. She didn't know much about the shy classmate, other than her age - twenty one - and which dorm she lived in. It was possible for Cara to use her usual scare tactics on the girl, maybe amped up a bit just to ensure she wouldn't leave her room on Saturday. Of course, Cara didn't want to completely traumatise the girl, but there was nothing she could do about it. A job was a job.

Cara got up slowly as she saw Sloane coming from the direction of the room, taking it as her cue to get ready. Leaving the door partially open behind her, Cara immediately started on her clothes. One by one, articles of clothing would drop to the ground, before a naked Cara would pick it back up and make sure to fold them carefully, the coldness of the room raising goosebumps on her bare flesh. She was always peculiar about her clothes, wanting everything to be pristine and perfect.

You could even say she was a bit of a control freak when it came to looking her best.

Not that she would ever admit it out loud.

Next, Cara readied herself for her change, sitting down with her legs pressed together and her arms against her sides. It was much easier and less painful for her to do so, as the scales slowly enveloped her skin and merged her limbs to her body. Cara's height shrunk even further and her eyes changing from the brown hue to an obsidian black, her eyelids disappearing completely until she finally took on the appearance of a Mexican Black Kingsnake.

Now was the hard part. Cara had left just enough of a gap for her to slither past, but she had to make sure she wouldn't make a fool out of herself by getting tangled into her own body while doing so. Slowly, but surely, Cara slid across the ground and towards the others, letting them know the room was empty before leaving through the front door, finding Angel waiting outside.

Cara would've smiled if she could, but she simply hissed letting the coyote know of her presence before she climbed - for the lack of a better word - up Angel's body and looped herself around her neck, securing herself to the coyote's body. It was a bit of a dangerous move, but Cara would try not to strangle the newbie. Well, as long as she didn't trip over her paws and send Cara flying into the air.

Maxine blinked, an almost incredulous expression forming on her face as both the possible bandits told her to put her weapon down! One had a bloody katana and the other had his gun semi-raised! "Why, so that you and mister Gun-Man over there can kill me?" Maxine quipped, her grip on the knife tightening.

It was probably not the best idea to be commenting to two unknown men, who could both potenially kill her without her being able to defend herself, but there was no way in hell was she letting two people take her down without a fight. Maxine didn't trust easily, it was one of the cruel things one had to learn when the world goes to hell. During the first few months of the apocalypse, she had lost the one group she had stuck around with, cruelly killed by bandits while she had been out on a supply run.

Maxine was ready to go down kicking and screaming any moment, ready to bring her murderers down with her.

At least the damn zombies would be good for something for once.

"Well, at least we don't have any Lannisters around." A pause. "Or do we?" Cara grinned at Angel, jokingly hinting at her being a Lannister. Sometimes the girl could get annoying, but at least she wasn't as annoying as a certain someone from the series.

Giving Daniel an inviting smile, Cara reached over the table to grab the baked goodie. "Thanks," nodding in thanks, she sat back down as she began munching on the free cake. It wasn't often that Cara would treat herself to cakes and sweets, unless they were chocolate, however the café in town had baked goods to die for. Or at least some of them were, anyway.

Sitting between Sloane and Toby was somewhat ruining the zen moment in the cabin. Of course they had to bicker about decency even though everyone has pretty much seen each other naked a handful of times (giving quite the eyeful too, going by how Terry was previously enjoying the view). Dusting her hands of any extra cake crumbs, the girl commented, "Now now, children, momma loves you all only if you let her eat."

"Oh look, Draco's here." Cara nodded at Nick, still grinning as he entered the cabin and arrived at the table, the entire family - minus Nina, since she was still getting dressed after her change from a cat -finally surrounding the table.

Maxine is kind to a fault. She loves helping people with their problems, often pushing her own to the back of her mind. This trait was her main motivation to study medicine and become a doctor. Maxine is not she, nor is shy quiet (verbally at least) but can act more like a mother figure to those she cares about.

She prefers to keep her secrets to herself, her selfless nature often making her keep quiet about any problems because she doesn't want to burden people. Maxine doesn't mind providing a listening ear - and you know your secrets would be safe with her - but she cannot share how she feels to others, feeling like she would burden people with unnecessary problems.

While Maxine cannot fight, her skills relying more on escaping and stealth, she will not back down from helping her fellow group fight off a horde. Whether it means that she'll pull injured people aside or aid with keeping the horde away from supplies, her impulsive nature will compel Maxine will do anything to try and help out.

*Maxine's skills heavily rely on her dancing background. She cannot fight, preferring the sneaky-stealth method to avoid any confrontation. She is light on her feet and flexible so stealth is the best way for her to survive. However, while she prefers to avoid confrontation, it doesn't mean that she hasn't been in any fights, she knows how to use her weapons well enough.

History

Your First Walker Encounter:

While trying to escape her lecture hall, a walker had cornered Maxine and her friends and denying them a way out unless they killed it. Two of her friends immediately ran back towards the window, deciding to jump to their death from the fourth floor and leaving Max with her then boyfriend, James, still standing by the door. James managed to help them and the rest of the students trapped in the class escape by using a fire extinguisher on the walker, spraying the foam over the walker to distract it while everyone else ran past and out of the university.

History Before Outbreak:

Growing up in the Scottish city of Perth with two brothers (one older, one younger), Maxine had a loving childhood. Her parents were both hard working individuals, her mother a nurse while her father taught Foreign Languages at the local college. From a young age, Maxine was always encouraged to try new things and take up new hobbies - to find something Maxine loved. By the age of five, Maxine was enrolled in ballet dance to encourage the creative side of her.

Maxine was an extroverted child, always making friends and always the chatty one. A teacher would even call her the chatter-queen, which Max would proudly accept. Socially accepted and with her education taken care of, Maxine was well taken care of. With the birth of her younger brother when she was eight years old, Maxine was over the moon to be an older sister. She took to the care of her brother, Henry, whenever possible to help ease her mother's tensions.

It wasn't long before ten year old Maxine moved to Atlanta, Georgia with her parents and her brothers, due to her father's job opportunity at the local university. Moving from the somewhat isolated town found within Perth in Scotland to a bustling city, Maxine felt out of her depths. It took a while, but Maxine finally managed to return to her usual bubbly self, if not a little dulled due to her not being familiar with the new people and surroundings.

Maxine found her love for helping people while shadowing her mother during her new job. Deciding to follow in her mother's footsteps and study medicine, Maxine dropped her dancing hobby (one that she had pursued for almost thirteen years, at that point) for her education, studying hard so that she could improve her average GPA, eventually graduating with a 3.9 GPA from her high school. Soon after graduating, Maxine moved closer to Jacksonville, Florida to study Biology in preparation for medical school, and minoring in Psychology, another subject that was interesting to Maxine. During university, Maxine picked up archery as a hobby, deciding to try something other than dancing as an extra curricular activity.

A year later, Maxine and her group of friends had just arrived for their morning lecture, ready to start their long day at university when the news of the infection broke out, followed by Maxine's first encounter with a walker.

History Since Outbreak:

It took Maxine a day to gather supplies from within Jacksonville, stealing the bow from her archery club on her way out of the university (but not lucky enough to find any arrows) and using her school bag to dump any and all food and water she could find from her shared apartment with her boyfriend. She found a knife that her father had gifted her, his way of trying to keep her safe in an unknown city. With James, they travelled to Atlanta on foot, the traffic out of Florida a guaranteed way to be killed. It took almost a week, especially with a few breaks in between not to mention they may have gotten lost a couple of times too, but when they finally reached back at Atlanta, things were only going to get worse.

Reaching her home, Maxine found her parents lying dead (gun shot to the head) along with many of the items in her home scavenged and destroyed. It looked like someone ransacked her house along with killing her parents. The worst thing about seeing her parents lying dead was seeing her older brother hunched over their bodies, his back to her as muffled growls were heard. It took her a while to realise her brother had become a monster while her younger brother was still missing...

It took all her strength to not cry and vomit as she stabbed her brother's eyeball, using a nearby lamp to shove through and pierce his brain, ultimately killing him. She didn't want it to be James that killed him, Maxine wanted to be the one who helped eased her brother's suffering. Vowing to find her younger brother and to protect him, Maxine left her home in search.

Two months into the new apocalyptic world, Maxine lost her boyfriend due to bandits (she refuses to talk about it - its only known that she was able to kill the bandit responsible for his death before escaping).

Now, Maxine is with a group based in Georgia, her hope for finding her younger brother still going strong.

The feeling of fur brushing Cara's bare leg caused her to almost jolt in her seat. Cara knew she should've expected it, seeing as she's known this group of misfits for almost a year by now. Instead of peering down under the table, Cara moved her leg back in response, knowing that the furry creature below had already gone to greet other people in her odd way.

Robert's greeting to the feline shifter confirmed Cara's suspicions, a grin on her face as she realised that Nina would not have any clothes on if she shifted back in front of everyone. The situation would possibly be hilarious, seeing everyone's reactions. Cara snickered at the thought. Over time, Cara had come to love the group as her family, trusting them more than her true family back home even though she's only known the shifting family for a year.

Just like how Cara's imagination played out, Nina transformed back to her human self, quite proudly in front of everyone. Naked, just like the day she was born.

Cara was proudly a straight woman, liking her men more. But of course, no one could deny that Nina looked great. And she knew it too, with her confident stride and flirtatious attitude towards Robert. Supressing a snort as Nina returned to the room to change, Cara turned to Angel as she spoke up. "Jeez, I really need to get used to this whole "going commando" thing we got going here."

"Takes a while to get used to," Cara admitted. When she had shifted for the first time, the girl was lucky enough to have done it in the comfort of her own home, to try and test out her magical powers as soon as Gandalf - Grimbold - let her leave the library. "But hey, as long as we don't follow in Nina's footsteps out with the normal people, we should be good."
