Heya Loon! I am here and ready to think up a character :3

I loved Epithet Erased and you know I adore you so this seems like a win win. I don’t know D&D very well so be patient with me and my dumb questions.

Good to see you again Echo!

She suddenly felt frozen in place, a bundle of nervous energy settling into her gut as Kate spoke up about wanting another drink since the last one hadn’t been all that good. Hana could only assume they misunderstood what she had said to Iris, thinking she was asking if she would like a drink instead of whether she liked the drink or maybe the second part about the first drink not being good was their answer to her question? It was confusing to say the least. Normally, it wouldn’t be a problem to see if Kate would like her to get something else from the table for them but now she wasn’t sure what to do since she couldn’t just ditch Iris before she even answered or begun a conversation with her. However, she didn’t want to be rude and act like she hadn’t heard Kate either. Luckily, she didn’t have long to worry about what decision to make as Kate turned their attention onto Cassandra, starting a conversation of their own. She could have given a sigh of relief and instead, simply smiled at Kate before swinging her attention back to Iris.

Iris was looking at her, headphones now in her lap as they had a small moment of awkward silence as she took a sip of her drink before speaking. Hana nodded as her smile brightened, agreeing that most of the drinks being pleasant but the nod slowed, her features now showing notable confusion as Iris continued to speak and took a brief glance at the other girls cup. ’Did she just say…., Hana thought for a moment before pressing her lips together before placing her hand to her mouth as she desperately tried not to laugh but ended up desperately failing. She felt the giggles bubble up and couldn’t hold back the few that popped out as she spoke,”W-What kind of t-tea or soda h-have you been drinking t-that tastes similar?” Hana took a deep breath, calming herself before smiling softly as she continued,”They might have some but I am not really sure. I wouldn’t be surprised considering all the different teas and sodas I saw earlier. Anyway, hi Iris and also, Sprite...you have been drinking Sprite.”

At least no one could say Iris wasn’t herself and that was part of the reason she liked talking to her. Sure, she could be a little quirky and very confusing at times but it was always entertaining to talk to her. She looked over to Kate who was now speaking to the new initiate, Jeremy and kind of felt sorry that he didn’t even know the mess he had stepped into. He had almost been set free but Alex had stirred the pot accidentally and now had Summer’s interest, since she was trying to draw Charlie in also. Hana stood up, looking back to Iris before glancing at those near her. ”Hey Iris, I was thinking of getting myself a refill on my drink. Do you want me to bring you back anything?”, she asked, waiting for an answer before grabbing her red solo cup and heading for the drink section of the table. Honestly, she might have introduced herself to Jeremy but the last thing he needed was to be swarmed with people and also, if that was Summer’s reaction by just having Alex chat with him then the more might not be the merrier in this case.

She gave a small satisfied hum as the delectable cuisine hit her taste buds and didn’t wait long to place another spoonful between her lips. She hadn’t realized just how hungry she actually was until she started eating but it made everything taste like heaven, though it was highly doubtful anything provided wouldn’t be fantastic even on a normal day. Hana let her gaze wander away from her plate for a moment, checking out which initiates had arrived so far while she had been running around with the children. It was no surprise that Calypso and Dakota were already mid hug, greeting each other in a friendly manner. Those two always seemed happy and just shared the same wavelength in her opinion. She didn’t doubt they probably got along swimmingly, that couldn’t be said about some of the others that had approached though. She had nothing against Summer, honestly, she figured that the girl just didn’t have many people in her life to call her out on her bullshit when she was acting like a twit or maybe she didn’t have anyone willing to do so. At least she tried to act nice to people and seemed to be especially nice to those she considered her friends so it wasn’t like she didn’t have a heart.

Hana didn’t actually know much about Charlie, only that he reminded her of someone petting a cat's fur in the direction. It just kind of made him an odd one to figure out so she gave him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn’t trying to be mean when he misspoke. She didn’t know the other person with them even though Hana had seen her around before. She thought she vaguely remembered her being from the Moore family or something but at least she seemed nice, not getting any negative vibes. Her attention was suddenly pulled away from the other side of the table as Cassandra made her appearance, roping Uaithne into a conversation which caused her to give a soft smile. It was nice to see those two in such good spirits. She didn’t want to bother them, plus it would be rude to eavesdrop even if unintentionally since she was exactly invited to talk to them. She debated if she should find someone to start a conversation with, not really wanting to be antisocial with the group her age but she had no clue to talk to. She could feel her fingers nervously twirling the ends of her chestnut hair, trying to find a solution when one appeared next to her.

Iris, her sweatpants clad savior, had decided to find her seat at exactly the moment she had needed her too. Hana silently thanked the gods for sitting her next to someone she actually knew, though it was actually her own previous actions that had made it possible. She smiled brightly, lightly tapping on her shoulder to not startle her since she was listening to music after all.”Hi Iris, how about this party? Do you like the fo...um..drinks?”, she asked, only stopping mid sentence because she realized that Iris didn’t actually have a plate in front of her. Just a cup filled with what looked like Sprite which Hana hadn’t even known they had but she couldn’t regret her choice of sweet tea since it was spectacular. Her eyes only flickered away from the girl beside her for a moment as Arken Stone announced his arrival to the party to the whole table. It was hard not to know about Arken though she was definitely not on his radar as far as she knew. She was not ashamed to admit she had made sure of it. Heck, all of the fancy families of the coven were the ones she very much took time to avoid. It wasn’t anything to them as a person and more to do with, she was a nervous wreck on how she was supposed to behave around them without making things either awkward or without embarrassing herself. Hana moved her full attention back on Iris, trying to ignore the fact that a few moments later, it felt like eyes were on her and she wasn’t sure she wanted to know the reason why.

Everbrook Public Library
May 28th 2020 | Stairwell/The Stacks

She gave a small nod in return to Will, waiting until he had traversed the doorway before holding it open for him. In all honesty, Jessica wanted to head down herself to begin her history search since she was a firm believer of working from the ground up so the bottom of the stairwell was the most obvious place to start, but she didn’t see a think anyone would be willing to keep the door open so that she could. The last thing she wanted was to let the door slam shut or get stuck again while someone was in there. It was very possible there would be no signal and it would be better to have people on the outside to get help should anything happen. She wasn’t the least bit surprised by him stating he was still alive during his descent through the stairwell and even less surprised when he said there was nothing but books in the stacks below.

She glanced at the others, debating on who might be the most willing to hold the door so she could explore as well but most of those nearby were the same few that had been trying their damndest to keep Will from entering the stacks. Jess didn’t get why they were all so freaked out about some little bit of strange, unless there was something she didn’t know about like an axe murderer had hid in the stacks and prayed upon an unsuspecting librarian which seemed very unlikely. She was just about to call down to Will, let him know that she was on her way down when she noticed him zooming back up to the steps like a bat out of hell. He looked as pale as a ghost, eyes wide as if he had found something disturbing or frightening, and she had no idea if he was sweating from the sprint which seemed doubtful or if it was for a completely different reason. Either way, she left her post of holding the door and carefully made her way down.

He was frantically moving and trying to usher them all in the direction of whatever it was they needed to see. She was truly a bit worried for him but now didn’t seem to be a right moment to ask and just followed along with the group that had decided to head on down. They walked past the stacks, a dark hallway making its appearance which had a single open door at the end.
’Nothing creepily disturbing about this at all.’, she sarcastically thought to herself before continuing onward. The room itself was dimly lit, only a single strobing fluorescent and a fire hazard waiting to happen worth of candles to light it. Various books were stacked on shelves, a large table with newspaper clipping, open books left untouched for who knows how long if the layering of dust meant anything but to her, it seemed like an investigation. It appeared like one of those cork boards or something cops used in the movies but instead it was a whole room.

Why was this even here? It was just...odd. Jess pulled her attention away from the room itself and back onto the person who had led them all down here. What could he have found that was so important out of this...no offense, junk. Whatever it was, it clearly had him shaken in more ways than one. It was shocking that out of everything in this room, a simple black notebook slapped with rock/metal band stickers and SAM written in the middle would be the cause of so much distress? Panic? Fear? She wasn’t even sure but was this really what they had all been pulled here to see? What was so special about that? It was like her inner questions were answered when he said it was his sister’s notebook but again, she didn’t quite understand why that should cause this kind of reaction. She probably just left it by accident right? Jess kept her mouth shut though, listening to the passage instead but all it sounded like was a made up tale or craziness.

She took a glance at the others, seeing if any of them had some kind of similar reaction as Will had. It left her just a bit skeptical about this whole situation. Was she the only one? Her attention was pulled back to Will as he spoke once more, explaining that the same thing had happened to him. It just was hard to believe and of course, no one would want to call their own sibling a liar so it left her a bit confused on which way to lean on believing. Anyone can say anything but that doesn’t make it true, that is why more evidence the better, right?
”I hate to burst anyone’s bubble but isn’t it not all that strange that things are cancelling? I mean, it happens on a normal day and with the whole quarantine thing that happened recently, it’s to kind of be expected. That aside, this whole...no leaving town, teleporting situation….has anyone else had it happen? Or thought to have someone come with them to film or maybe take photos as the other heads across the bridge? I am open minded but all this is just kind of hard to swallow. I’ve only been here a few hours though so maybe I don’t know anything but that is kind of how I am feeling about all this. Sorry….”, Jess said awkwardly and rubbed her arm gently. She hated to be cynic as she usually tried to be optimistic but she just kind of hoped there was a little more proof. She was also curious to know more if this all was indeed true.

Sorry I am taking so long. Work has been kicking my butt. I am now working on a post and hope to have it up soon!
