So, It has been about a month and I have yet to do this - Righto!
I am a 22 year old aspiring writer and academic - not in a pretentious way, I really want to study for the rest of my life. I am curious about most things - Culture, Language, art, food, music, history, science, politics, philosophy, biology, physics. I believe the best way to escape the ever looming threat of solipsism is to interact with things you know you could not have made up on your own - to confound yourself as much as possible by the seemingly impossible. I like reading as well - and I read anything that is not am outright romance - the once thing that does not interest me, and never has. And I am 22 years old! Mother stop bothering me! The only thing romance is good for is when it allows you side quests in RPG's. I tend to spend most of my salary on books, and I have an ever growing fear that when I intend to actually leave my country and travel the world, I will not be able to take my ever growing list of favorites with me. My greatest aspiration, beyond becoming a celebrated academic - is to reside somewhere in west-Europe and be able to attend opera's and concerts and understand what they are singing without subtitles or synopsi - and hopefully die one day in the middle of one of the great arias.
If you wish for me to join, let me know - I don't often peruse and might miss your prompts.
Uptown Central - Heading Towards Gotham Law Library. Gotham
Stopping and looking over at the officer - Malacoda raised a single eyebrow, the sides of his mouth turning downwards into a slight grimace. Mephistopheles raised his head, and howled into the sky - the sound causing tremors in all those faint of heart in the area - which made his earlier barks seem like adorable mewls. He started rushing towards the Library. With a casual flair Malacoda looked over to where the large black beast was heading, and without a word rose a few feet into the air. His eyes flicked back towards the officer, his head a few feet above the other's - and his grimace became, just for a moment, a smug smirk. Suddenly he moved forwards, much faster than he would normally walk, his coat flapping behind him. He landed next to the dog, and patted the head that stood nearly up to his shoulder.
"What have you found, dearest?" The dog looked over to him, before sitting down in front of the door and nodding inside.
I am going to hold off for now, and wait for someone else to interact with the group. - I don't want to hog the thread. I am assuming Christopher's dashing supposed savior should say something first. @GrizzTheMauler@LadyRunic@rocketrobie2
Malacoda offered him a raised eyebrow, "Quite..." before he turned and walked through the portal, As the dog and the other followed him, he closed the portal after they stepped through the hole. He looked to the dog - "Mephistopheles - Find me a bomb, won't you?" The Hound barked, a deep - menacing sound that made the few people around him feel a chill run down their spines. It started smelling around the area - trying to find any traces of any form of explosive composite. While it did that, Malacoda started walking around, trying to figure out where one might place a bomb in this area - He was good at locating specific things, but he needed something to connect it to. Noting the people around him, he placed his two fingers against his throat - and spoke - his voice loudly carrying over everyone. "A threat had been made on your life. Leave the area." As they started panicking, he calmly started walking on after his Dane.
@LadyRunic - Ditto, I love characters that have personalities, but other parts of their being either force actions that they would not normally want or be capable of. It allows for so much inner conflict. That is why I like her beast forms as well... It is similar. Her nature and his upbringing are forcing them both to react in manners that neither normally would have wanted. So much DRAMA!
