Anyone here that needs to rely on someone else to pass this stupid exam should just quit and go the hell home!

Those words Blue-boy ferociously shouted did cause Shiki to stop in his tracks and hesitate for a moment. Maybe he is right, Shiki thought. It was not until Mari and the Light-bulb responded, which made him regain his confidence and cleared his doubts. Currently, his quirk is more beneficial in a group than solo. If he can manage to be useful and try his best, then that's all that matters, right? As Shiki moved forward and approached the rescue team, his eyes scanned every individual in the group and noticed a majority of them were female. If he didn't know any better, he would proudly call this his 'harem'. But, he hasn't openly displayed such interests yet, perhaps they lie elsewhere~.

He stopped a short distance away from the two girls drinking juice together. Watching the Neko and Glasses for a brief moment made his mouth a little dry, craving for a drink as well. Maybe if he introduced himself and asked politely they will share, he thought. Oh, but they were only drinking orange juice, he noticed. He personally preferred the juicy sweet tanginess of fresh pineapples, but whatever, he was still kind of thirsty. Before he could muster up the courage to ask, the green haired boy joined the group and introduced himself first.

Glitchy looking...

Shiki turned to face Shun and returned a small wave of his own before going back to warming himself up. "Tetsumi, Shiki...and I can easily collect and share information with the use of my tail...So, I can assist with surveying too. I can also increase the length of my tail up to fifteen feet, but it's not really that strong..." He replied with a soft-spoken tone and then let out a heavy sigh afterwards. Listening to himself explain his own quirk felt unsatisfying to him. Perhaps, this called for a demonstration. Shiki's tail swayed behind him in a predatory fashion, like if it was ready to strike one of them with the connector at any given moment. "If you want to try right now...We can share all of our quirk details and a bit of information about ourselves with just a little poke. It doesn't hurt at all..." He suggested, offering them a chance to experience his quirk before they start. Although, the way he moved his tail didn't exactly match up with his words.

Shiki remained silent throughout the entire bus ride, casually browsing through his phone which was three generations behind the latest model. It frustrated him that certain apps he wanted weren't compatible or simply just didn't function properly. He constantly tells himself to save up some money and get a new phone already, instead he would impulsively buy new parts for his computer or spend it on games which he only plays once before shelving them forever. He hated being caught in that boring loop, so moving to Kirisama was the first step for him to a lifestyle change. Coincidentally, it was around the same time he decided to fully commit towards becoming a hero.

After he moved into the city less than a year ago, his first impressions were exactly how he imagined it would be, a total shithole. The intensive research he has done lessened the impact of his emotions, but the destructive sight was still spine-chilling nonetheless. Not as spine-chilling as the weather this morning, it was freakin' freezing outside. Shiki was thinking he should've wore heavier clothing than just a plain hoodie, his body was clearly shivering from the cold when he first arrived on the bus. His glasses remained foggy, which didn't really bother him at all. He was feeling kind of lazy today, so instead of wiping his lenses, he tilted his head to look at his phone from underneath his glasses.

When the bus came to an abrupt stop, Shiki immediately fixed his posture from his seat with a confused expression on his face. He put away his phone in his pocket and finally cleared up his glasses before finally looking out the window, which was difficult to see due to the dense fog. Initially, he thought there was no way they could've arrived at their destination already, judging by the location. This didn't look like the kind of place to take an exam, but when the instructor appeared, it finally became clear to him.

Damn, this is not what I was expecting so early in the morning...

After following everyone else off the bus, he stood to the far side of the group with his hands rubbing against his arms, trying to keep himself warm. Despite being unprepared for this type of scenario, he felt excited and attentive now. He carefully listened to what the girl had to say and quickly realized something. Are the villains dummies as well? If they did encounter a villain, he probably won't be able to contribute anything during combat. At least, that is how he currently thought about his own quirk. His self-esteem would've taken a big hit, had it not been for the rescue portion of the exam.

Without having to see through his glasses back on the bus, he was aware some of his peers stuck out like a sore thumb. All of them appeared to be capable of carrying someone useless like him, including the girl who remained on the bus. He was relieved when some of them suggested about forming groups. The civilian rescue team as Mari pointed out was his ideal choice. Although, that may be subject to change if he somehow gets screwed over into joining the villain capture team. Either way, he hoped that he wouldn't be much of a burden to his teammates.

He began shuffling over to his desired team without saying much of a word to anyone else.

To put it simply, Shiki has a USB cord for a tail which he can use to insert into any solid object and establish a connection between them. From there, he can perform a wide range of actions such as accessing a person's memory, transferring information, and much more.

Description: Shiki keeps to himself most of the time and doesn't like to bother anyone or get into arguments. He won't normally participate in any social activities or outings, but he does display a very strong passion for things he personally enjoys, such as video games. To which, will pull him out of his quiet and distant nature. He is highly intelligent, but downright inexperienced when it comes to combat. He is inclined to do as little work if possible, which mainly stems from his annoyance for long winded conversations and explanations. Doing something normally, be it studying or communicating, he believes is redundant to him if it can be performed faster with his quirk.

When he does decide to converse, he often speaks in a soft-spoken tone. His comments are generally sarcastic and he does put in the effort to throw in cringe worthy puns or jokes whenever the opportunity strikes. However, he will feel somewhat embarrassed afterwards despite how it was received. Close confrontation makes him uncomfortable, but he tries his best to overcome it until contact is made. He tends to be more talkative over the phone or through texting. Tense situations easily stress him out and forces him to becomes hesitant with his actions. As a result, he quickly loses confidence in himself and negatively influences those around him. All it takes a few words of encouragement to help him retain focus, if he is not already in that deep. Sometimes, his negative outbursts can be seen as comical.

There are times where he feels uncertain if choosing the hero path was the right decision for him. His quirk allows him to become very knowledgeable in most subjects, so he could've chosen a different and safer profession. Yet, he wanted to be a hero because he thought it wouldn't be boring. He strives for excitement and change, but he cannot cope with the stress that comes with it.

Shiki currently works at a local tech repair shop. He really enjoys tinkering with technology, both hardware and software. Whenever he is not playing video games, he will either be practicing code or mess around with old hardware components for fun. Back at home, he has a couple of boxes full of gadgets and spare parts in his room. Excluding the countless video game collectibles he has neatly decorated the room with.

Amelia has a minor mutated appearance, passed down from her father's side of the family. Her teeth are extremely sharp, which allows her to easily chew through even the most toughest foods.

Personality:

Amelia is a cheerful and somewhat energetic girl, who is always seen smiling and stuffing her face in food. She is normally nice to others and doesn't bother anyone around her intentionally, unless something comes in between her and her meals. She will become rather overprotective or competitive over food and refuse to share with anyone, but she will accept any free offers without much hesitation. This has resulted in her being in debt to kind strangers quite often in the past. Thankfully, the cheeky girl doesn't feel the slightest amount of guilt or shame whenever she walks out on a debt anymore.

Friendships, she cherishes them and wants to make sure she doesn't lose anyone close to her. However, Amelia doesn't make a lot of friends mainly because of her poor table manners. Some people have tried to take advantage of her in the past for free meals at her family's restaurant, but it was a short lived relationship once she became aware of it. She occasionally attempts to build friendships through her favorite activity, eating contests, but she always end up scamming someone out of their money for a free meal.

She does have a strong sense of justice, coming from a proud heroic family and often imitates her favorite heroes she sees on the news. There will be a critical time where she has to has to do whatever it takes to win, even if it leads to her own self destruction.

Description:

Amelia's digestive system has mutated to the point where the rapid breakdown of sustenance massively boosts her physical abilities for a short period of time. The amount of food she consumes increases the duration of it's effect, but only by a couple of minutes. Additionally, certain types of foods and even the quality determines how much power she gains as well. For example, meat based dishes will give Amelia more of a physical boost compared to fruits or vegetables due to her personal preference for meat.

It has been shown that Amelia can eat massive quantities of food at once to no ill effect. However, if she were to accidentally consume something inedible then she will immediately suffer from indigestion and become really ill.

Currently unknown to her, different types of food may provide additional benefits or hazards. Some of these range from becoming quickly intoxicated after consuming a small amount of alcohol or enhancing her speed through sugary consumables such as candy. While having meat as her primary source of power may be good in terms of raw strength and durability, a well balanced diet will favor Amelia's stats in the long run.

The downside of her quirk is that Amelia has to constantly eat if she wants to be at peak performance. Due to the rapid breakdown of food, she burns energy for every action she makes. Her quirk is not suited for any long training sessions or dragged out battles without any food nearby. If there is no food present in her body, then she will suffer from an accelerated and vicious form of starvation. Which will leave her body incapacitated in less than a day. Overstepping the limits of her quirk, even just a little, can be life threatening to her.

Questions:

Given its reputation, why apply to Kokoro Academy? "I didn't really pay much attention to my options, but a friend of mine told me this school was best suited for someone like me! Saved me a lot of time from trying to choose one for myself! I trust my friend's judgment, so I will do my best to exceed the academy's expectations!"

Why do you want to be a professional hero? "It's been my dream ever since I was in kindergarten. No, probably even before that! My parents were heroes at one point, so I was born to be one for sure! I know they weren't that well known during their time, but they were still professional heroes. One day, I will make them proud by being one of the top ten heroes! That's what I'm aiming for!"

What kind of professional hero do you want to become? "I want to be kind of hero who cheers everyone up! I don't like seeing people who look down and feel like they lost all hope. I want to be able to change their negative feelings to more positive ones. If everyone is in high spirits, then they can accomplish anything!"

Best describe yourself in five sentences. "Let's see, I'm a human teenage girl. I have pink hair, blue eyes, and I'm kind of short. I love to eat...a lot, but that is part of my quirk. I do get a bit greedy sometimes and steal food from people's plates, but I'm working on correcting that behavior! Sometimes, people say my quirk is the reason why I'm not fat, but they don't know I do intense training on a weekly basis!"

What are your interests and hobbies? "I have a strong sense of direction! I can draw up an accurate map of a city in my head, just by using the local food stops as points of interest! That's right, I would immediately know which route is best whenever the situation calls for it! I'm also a natural cook, so I'm highly interested in any volunteer work around the cafeteria. After all, I did grow up in my family's restaurant!"

Are there any notable accomplishments you want to us to be aware of? "Yes! I'm currently on an undefeated streak with a total of 267 victories and counting in competitive eating! Well, I guess that's not really much of a real accomplishment now that I think about it. All of those victories are not from official events. Never thought about participating in one before, I don't know why. Hmm, now I'm looking forward to join the next event and build up my credentials!"

Tell us something about your quirk that most might not know? Any events or memories, be it joyous or ill, tied to it? "One time, I tried to fast in order to save money. However, I became hospitalized by the end of the day. It turns out, without food in my stomach it will eventually try to eat me from the inside. It was a painful experience I don't want to go through again. That is why I carry around snacks with me everyday and try to eat something every hour or so."

Why should we consider you over the other applicants? "What can you offer that they cannot? That's easy! Whatever the other applicants can do, I can do better! Wait, no that's kind of rude. There are probably better and more worthy applicants than me. But, I won't let that thought discourage me! I'm going to do my best and not fall behind anyone! Heroes never give up and neither will I! I hope that you will have me!"
