Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Sorry i havent posted yet, live has been busy. Also having a bit of writers block trying to think of a reply. Kind of think I should wait until after someone recovers Bakuto from the ocean, since I can only imagine he would be barely conscious or even barely alive after taking that kind of shot from Krilian's granddaughter. It would be easier to reply to after Bakuto is saved from drowning and after the aftermath of getting his lights punched out.

Okay, I'll get him ashore then. No worries.

Martian Fortress!

Niko and Han hadn't even landed yet, and they already had a close run in with death. This wasn't going to be an easy mission, that was for sure. While they didn't have any proof, they would be right to guess that the MMC was behind the attack and that they would be hot on their trail.

One with military training, the other from a core of assassins, they both knew how much trouble they were in as they stepped out of their space ship. Sure, they were strong, but one long range sniper with good aim and from an unsuspecting angle could take them out right now. They had to get moving quickly.

They had landed quite a ways from the closest city, ten to twenty miles away, but with the mostly barren landscape before them, they could still see the tops of skyscrapers. The tallest one was the MMC headquarters, ominous and imposing. The setting sun behind the city's skyline only highlighted the massive structure even more. A setting sun was a good thing though. Once in the city, they would be able to move around in the shadows.

So the two took off, toward the city, staying close to any rocks that might provide them cover from bullets... just in case. They reached the city's edge in only a few minutes, surprised by their own speed. They weren't sprinting, running sure, but not at top speed. All their training on the ship had obviously paid off. Combine that with the weakened gravity of Mars and they were practically demi-gods now.

There was a large fence surrounding the city, thirty feet tall with spikes at top and emitting a buzzing sound from tons of electricity. This was only a deterrent however. The bigger threat was the wall, just behind the fence. A tall metal structure, perhaps one hundred feet tall, with turrets at the top. The fence and wall both circled around the entire city, with eight gates that only opened to let large work vehicles in and out, and most of these trucks had the MMC logo on their side.

What would the two men do to get passed this barricade? With their new level of strength, they could perhaps jump over, but then they risk being shot down by the turrets. Or maybe sneak through the gates somehow and risk being discovered. Or was there another way they hadn't thought of yet?

Cool, I'll have one out by the end of the day.
@Double Unless you have a post in mind, I can go next and set the scene down on Mars. Then you could go after me.
@Darkmoon Angel@BladeSS4

Nice catch-up post Darkmoon, glad to have you back on board.

Just a note to you both, Lazuli (being Krillin's great-granddaughter and all) has been exposed to the rest of the Z-fighters for all her life. She's actually going to be playing more of an assistant coach roll in this upcoming training arc. The the other fighters on the island are just as baffled by Lazuli's and Bakuto's "fight" as Angela is.

@BladeSS4 When you post next, would you mind catching us all the way up to Bakuto waking up on the beach after being rescued by Lazuli. Seeing as his health dropped bellow zero, but his energy levels didn't, he won't be able to get up and move around freely, due to his broken bones, but he will have energy enough to be aware of his surroundings and may perhaps 'try' to move around, at least after the fog of being knocked out goes away.
Sorry for the absence. Work and life have been stressful. I'll get a post out later today.

Yes, I completely feel you on that front. Good to hear from you though! 👍
Hi everyone! @FalloutJack @Double @BladeSS4 @Darkmoon Angel

I have some changes to make to the battle system again, some minor changes to do with Special Techniques.
To be clear though, I'll go ahead and post all the current rules involved with the battle mechanics.

First, your Power and Health start off at the same number at the beginning of the match.
Then, you can spread your Total Power stats across your three stats (Attack, Speed, Defense) and your Special Technique (if you use one).
Then, you can apply a serious boost of x2 to any one of your stats.
Then, you can apply a special technique, which will either boost one of your stats, or debuff an opponent.
The amount of boost/debuff is based off the amount of ki you spend on the Special Technique and if your opponent has seen it before. If they've never even seen it, you'll multiply by 2.5. If they've seen it, but not experienced it first hand, you'll multiply by 2. If you've already used the technique on them, you'll multiply by 1.5. Then simply add/subtract that number to your or your opponent's corresponding stat.

Once both combatants have launched their attacks, I'll calculate damage and exhaustion. You don't need to know all the details behind these calculations, but I can give you an overview:

Damage dealt to your opponent is taken from your Attack and your Speed. For attack, I'll take your final Attack stat and do a roll for damage based on that number, with the minimum damage being at least 50% of the Attack stat. I.E. if you roll an attack stat of 1000 and get a 400, you'll automatically deal 500 damage. Anything above 500 means your attack was especially effective. For speed, it's much more simple. Simply take 25% of your speed, and that's the damage you deal because of Speed.

Damage blocked/avoided comes from your Defense and your Speed. These are also simple. You block 50% of whatever you spend of Defense. You avoid 25% of whatever you spend on Speed.

Then comes exhaustion. This is calculated from the bottom up. First, I take 10% of your Defense (after any serious boost). Then, I take 20% of your Speed (again, after any serious boost). Then, I take 30% of your Attack (after any serious boost). Finally, I take 40% of what you initially spent on your Special Technique (i.e. BEFORE any multiplication). I then add all these numbers together to get your total exhaustion.
@Potemking@Crimson Flame
Actually, I hope I don't disappoint anyone with this news, but I'm hitting a writer's block with all this, so I think it would be best to cancel this RP.

On the flipside, if either of you want to start your own Pokemon RP, you can use my map if you want. I can even change the names of the locations and add things to the map.

EDIT: Or if anyone at all is seeing this and would like to use this map, let me know.

@Double You or Darkmoon, and she was stated to be watching the fight.

Well, we have two different plot lines going on at once right now, and they are pretty independent of one another. So yes, either Darkmoon or Double can go next.
