Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Name: Reno Kelly
Home: Eastern Tennessee
Age: 35 (looks 13)
Appearance: Reno looks a little older than he should, and that is because of how much he works. He often forgets to drink enough water while working and can accidentally become dehydrated.

Personality: Reno is a friendly soul, who can talk to almost anyone. At the same time however, he doesn't allow others to get too close to him, a true recluse at heart.

Biography: Reno was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains, in Tennessee. The younger of two children, he would have grown up spoiled if his parents had the money to spoil him. They however, were middle-lower class workers. They provided him and his older sister with all the necessities, but they never had the latest and greatest anything.

Growing up, Reno dreamed of becoming a Pokemon trainer, as most kids do. Of course, like everything else in this world, entry into the trainer program costs money. To be more specific, the written exam costed an arm and a leg. It was the Pokemon Association's way of making sure all that applied were serious about their entry, or so they said.

In any case, Reno had to start working, at the age of 21, the earliest kids are allowed to get a part time job. He took on every odd job he could. Maintenance jobs were the most common, because as everyone knows, while robots do most of the world's manual labor, even they are subject to wear and tear. And while they can usually fix themselves or be fixed by other robots, sometimes the issue would be outside their parameters. It helped that his father was a maintenance technician by trade. He could always call if he couldn't figure out an issue.

Now his 35th birthday, Reno has finally saved up enough money to take the exam. Hopping on his hover bike, he waves goodbye to his mom and dad, headed for Knoxville, TN. There, at the local lab, he will take the exam, and he will pass. That's what he keeps telling himself at least!

Side Note: You only have to be 30 to become a trainer (usually looking around 10 years old). This character just had troubles coming up with the funds to take the Pokemon Trainer exam.

Alright, sounds cool. Mind if I ask about a few more locations before I post?

Absolutely, but if the locations are in the same general area, you may see a lot of the same Pokemon. Go ahead though.

I'll be responding in the morning. I'm sleepy now.
If you start in Buffalo New York, the local professor would be found at the Buffalo Zoo, located at these coordinates (42.93695, -78.85233).

The three starting Pokemon at this lab are: Bulbasaur, Totodile, and Fenniken.

Pokemon families in and around the city include:
Pidgey, Rattatta, Psyduck, Murkrow, Misdreveus, Wubbuffet, Snubble, Smeargle, Frillish, Zigzagoon, Solrock, Shuppet, Carnavine, Rotom, Gulpin, Lunatone, Drilbur, Scraggy, Deerline, Litwick, Frillish, Rufflet, Swirlix, Pumpkaboo, Helioptile, Minior, Togedemaru

I suggest you start with an IC post where you choose a starter pokemon at the lab. Starter Pokemon start at level 5. Then, you can start catching Pokemon, one per post.

That's fine. That's actually how I'm most familiar with RPs working. I have more time to iron out a character going into this weekend. I've been getting some tech stuff running for a show that opens on Saturday.

Sounds good. No rush. I'll have my character up and running in the next day or two. It will also set an example for others. 😁👍
I'll give it a shot. I won't lie, there is a good chance I dip out, and I apologise if I do.

I'd be happy to have you on board, even if it's just for a little bit.

Hi, this seems cool. Are you still accepting?

Absolutely, here's a link to the thread:

@Wayward You mind if I make a character too? And play in my own RP as if I was another player?

In the City

It was the edge of the city, where Niko and Han landed, but the city was crowded. A group of teenagers saw them land. They stood in awe, watching as Han and Niko casually took a cell phone call, as if they were completely undamaged by the fall from such a great height.

Then the sirens began to blare. On every street corner, emergency lights began to flash. Then, the electronic billboards all changed to show the same image. It was an image of Niko and Han's faces just before they struck the turrets, from the turrents' point of view. Above their headshots was the word "Wanted". Below was the message "1,000,000 zeni reward for any information on their whereabouts."

An audio message accompanied the images. "Two dangerous criminals have just broken into the city." The group of teenagers began to point and gawk, confirming with one another that they were seeing the same thing. "They are considered to be armed and dangerous. Report any sightings of these to criminals to your local police headquarters. You will be safe there. Otherwise, please return to your home immediately. An emergency code red alert is in effect, until these two criminals are apprehended."

There was three or four seconds of silence, before the same message repeated itself, over and over again...

The teenagers ran away, in a hurry!

Training Underway!

It had been eight hours since the warriors left Kame house, and three potential Z-warriors had already went under, collapsing under exhaustion. Each time, Lazuli came to their rescue. Without seeing them, she could sense their ki energies fall to almost zero, as their life force started to slip away. She would dive under the water, swim to them like a bullet, and take them back to Kame island. Then, when her lifeguard duties were finished, she would return to the middle of the pack, to wait for the next failure.

What surprised Lazuli the most was the man named Bakuto, the one that she punched and broke most of his ribs. He wasn't just keeping up with the pack, he was in the front half. If she hadn't have injured him, she was almost sure he would be to the island already.

Night had fallen upon the swimmers, and for most of them, they still had four more grueling hours of swimming to go. Luckily it was a nice night for a swim. The moon was only halfway lit, but it was bright, as were the stars in the sky. The water was calm...
