Current Fear of long words is hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia. Isn't that messed up?

Star Wars Persistent World, that was a thing that was sort of a thing. Kind of.

LongSword is objectively the best main. Objectively.

The ones from Calle are usually monthly. I tried to start another one a few years back.

I enjoy character creation as well, although I'm dumb as fuck at it and usually have to double check everything with the GM. Which is weird since I almost always make a Halfling/Orc Monk/Paladin
Harbinger used to run 3.5 and occasionally Pathfinder. They're fun systems too. I tried to run Deadlands a few years back. It really does come down to 5 is newest and I want to say the one that DND Beyond uses so it's most common.
Outerworlds also has a sequel in development.

I swear I will die laughing if Outerworlds 2 steals Starfield's shine the same way New Vegas did Fallout 3
Banned for not being able to pronounce Za-Me-Jaa

Or Ze-Mi-Ha

Or maybe Zim-E-Ah

Banned because I can't pronounce it either
Ghosting is a real part of roleplaying, and if there is no communication that says "hey, I don't like this RP anymore" I prefer to see it as an indefinite paused RP rather than a dead one. If someone doesn't like the RP anymore it would be nice to get a head's up, but I understand that usually doesn't happen for reasons.

I had a good RP going where my partner posted once a month. The posts were worth the wait, and in the meantime, I did some other RP's or wrote fiction for myself. She stopped visiting the website we RPed on years ago, but if she were to come back today and asked to continue where we were, I'd happily do that.

I myself am a "once a week" kind of RPer (although I have been slower, but I try not to be) and I make sure my partner is aware of this before we start, to avoid disappointment.

The way I cope with setting up plots that get ghosted: I write them as fiction for myself.

I halfway wish there was a Fan Fiction section here, just for that. It's why I had that idea for a contest a few years back. If someone's got a good idea they want to build on FF is a fun way for them to just say Fuck It and go. If it takes off you get folks encouraging you to keep going, asking questions, asking if you're interested in starting an RP, or it's just advertising your own abilities so someone can say

"Goddamn that one story that Calle did was so good. This is kinda similar, I wonder if he'd be interested in joining."
Banned because you allegedly know exactly what the fuck you are doing yet are doing this.
Banned because banning folks makes me feel like a big man.
After what they did with F4 as compared to 1/2 or even 3 I don't trust it until I see it. 4 had everything they needed laid out for them and yet we ended up with Yes/No/Background Line/Sarcastic Yes for the whole ass game.

Still I've taken a bit of a liking to SciFi recently so I hope they make it work. If they can combine F4 gunplay, Skyrim and F4 environments, with some space combat and hopefully some of that wonderful Morrowind weirdness it could be a fucking Legend.

Or it might be Fallout 4 without the retro-futurism.
I have such low expectations yet such high hopes for Starfield.

I'd love to see them turn it around and make RPGs again, but are they capable of it?
Usually you have a Source Book, either the DM will tell you which one he is using or explain stuff. Most of this stuff can be found free online.

A lot of the +1 or +3 or whatever comes from picking skills for your character or finding gear. You might have an Exquisite Rapier that adds +1 to thrusting attacks and have the skills Fencer which also adds +1 to thrusting attacks.

So youd take the damage your weapon does (as found either in the Source Book the GM says you're using or by his explanation of the weapon) and add the +1 from it being exquisite and the +1 from your skill.

Usually you would track these things on a character sheet.

Part of the GMs job is to give you the information you need to come up with a character. Tell you which Source Books you can pick from and they should be providing you with links where you can access enough of that stuff to faff yourself up a Character Sheet.
