Bio
uhhhh, hi there
I am here and I sorta exist so yes this is my ‘bio’ and it will probably be rather brief and suck and be sloppy, just like me. So, without further ado..
stuff about me
• Most people call me Barti or Bart as well as a few other things since it’s just easier or meaner than the actual thing - I invite you to do so as well.
• I’m a 23-year-old (bday June 20th!) Texan who enjoys thunderstorms and rain far too much, and likes anime, running, metal music, and copious amounts of DRUGS candy, among many other cool things - like DnD and MTG.
• I enjoy group rps as well as 1x1s. For groups I have what I think is a decent array of interests, most of it being profusely weeb-y. I like Fantasystuffs (Modern especially), supernatural themes, pretty much all Japanese stuff - including historically accurate settings - as well as general dark/grim themes, comedic slice of life trash, academy rps, unique plots, etc. etc. As for 1x1s I pretty much do romance, but I can do non-romantic stuff too if you give me something to work with xP The only genre I find myself not entirely comfortable with is really sci-fi stuff, but, if the plot/idea catches me enough it can hold my interest. Oh, and my writing level is high casual to low advanced.
• I’m a sarcastic, snarky, bipolar-depressed, degenerate garbage can, but generally people seem to like me (I don’t know why in the hot hell you would) - but if you would also like to be my friendo lemme know. I don’t bite. Usually owo xd rawr

Casey turned his eyes from the girl who had arrived in front of them, and to the ceiling. A cacophonous screeching sound met the ears of the trio, an ominous sound that he doubted any of them knew the source of. Just a moment later, all of the lights went out. Casey’s shadowy faced turned back to the girl, his vision seemingly unaffected by the lack of functioning light fixtures. She seemingly had acquired a blade of some kind from somewhere. His shadowy hand curled its fingers around the boy’s at his side - even though Casey felt rather comfortable in the dark, the boy likely would not.
As he kept his gaze on her, he felt a string of words pull against the inside of his skull, intertwining as the sensation quickly faded. “Who are you - where are we?” She would hear the words from no particular direction - not that it mattered, as she wouldn’t be able to see the source in the dark - but instead they sounded out seemingly from inside her own head.
Even still, he felt two other small tugs inside his head, each directing him towards both the young boy and the older girl. He felt a sort of...empathy for them, in the moment. As the chugging, thrumming sound built louder in the distance, he could feel the two pulls -- they felt like - hesitation. Fear.
If the girl was scared, she was likely no threat to him or the boy. Casey felt his muscles relax a bit. Soon enough, the sound would settle, and as it did, the darkness disappeared - instead being replaced by a muted yellow hue of light. The wisps around his body, which had thickened in the darkness, seemed to crawl away into his body - though notably less so than they had in the bright white of the lights they previous had.
Moments later, an intercom sounded throughout the halls, informing them that the “facility” was now on backup power, and that staff would be working the fix the problem. Casey’s heart fluttered in his chest. Staff? There were other people somewhere who could help?? He gave the boy’s hand a light, encouraging squeeze.
Moments after the intercom had seemed to shut off, another announcement tolled breakfast time, instructing them to head to wherever the canteen might be, before shutting off. The announcement soon coaxed the kid at his side to tug on Casey’s arm, softly sharing his wishes to find the canteen. Casey took his other hand and offered a ‘thumbs up’ gesture to the boy as he felt more words form inside his head. Felix would hear a rather optimistic-sounding “Good idea.” as Casey began taking short steps forward, still holding his hand lightly.
As they got a bit closer to the girl to pass her, Casey would offer a quick ‘thumbs up’ and then a ‘come along’ gesture with his free hand.
Appearance: Katalya is slightly above average in height, standing at 5’5”, and weighs about 175lbs. Her light gray hair falls to about her collarbone, being just long enough for her to keep it up in a ponytail or do other small cute things with it, if she wanted - though it is very rare that she does. Her eyes appear to be a dark, watery teal, and are often very watchful of small details. She general keeps a rather neutral expression, but her friends can quickly change that.
Her wardrobe usually consist of duller colors - but you never know what fashion piece she’ll add to her outfit next, being that she’s often looking for new designs - though she usually tests these on her friends before herself.
Personality: When it comes to personality, Katalya is a rather reserved person. She prefers to watch a situation rather than attribute to the chaos, and is generally rather good at coming up with plans while others are discussing out loud.
However, that demeanor totally changes when she’s engaged with her friends. To them, she’s a playful, sarcastic, fun-poking companion who loves to make them smile, cry, and blush - even if she’s rather susceptible to that last one herself.
She’s quite slow to trust others, which makes her bond with her friends all the more special.
Short Biography: Kat lived a pretty simple life throughout her younger years up until she was almost twenty. She lived with her mother in a modest home in New Bark Town for all her life, making a few friends along the way. Her father was never around - in fact, she’s only seen him a handful of times. Something she still doesn’t understand and kinda resents.
In the later years of her teen life, misfortune fell upon the household when her mother began to fall ill. Katalya did her best to take care of her mother in any way possible, but her efforts were proven fruitless when she eventually became completely bedridden. Soon after she was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Yet, still her father did not come to visit. He sent money - but what good was that?? They needed him.
For almost a year Kat stayed by her mother’s bedside, fetching whatever she wanted even at the tiniest signs of discomfort. She often tried to comfort her by smothering her in her fashion creations - little costumes she made her Pokémon wear, specially-made scarfs, and other things. However, after a time, her mother beckoned her over to the bed. She wanted her daughter to leave her side. But why?
Of course, Kat refused - but her mother was persistent. She implored her daughter to travel the region - to follow her own desires and dreams. She knew how badly little Kat had always wanted to travel and discover new Pokémon to study and tailor her creations after.
After weeks of discourse, Kat reluctantly agreed to follow her mother’s wishes - which she said would make her very happy. But, she promised to have a letter for her every time her mother’s Bisharp came to visit. She didn’t like leaving her mother’s side, but if it would make her happy...she could understand that.
Pokemon:
Name: Lily Species: Sneasel Gender: Female Ability: Keen Eye Personality: Mischievous, Hardheaded, Sassy. Lily and her master have pretty similar personalities - which makes for a love/love-harder relationship. They often clash, but those gritted teeth are accompanied by a wry smile that hides their mutual affection for one another.
Reason for Traveling with Main Group: Katalya travels the region with her friends in order to see new Pokémon - hoping to study and perhaps catch some, in order to gain new inspirations for her various fashion creations. Whether they be for people, Pokémon, or something other - she’s always intrigued when it comes to fun, cool, and cutesy designs.
Cho and Kat have grown to become close friends over their twenty-odd years in New Bark Town. Although more aloof than her slightly older friend, Kat finds that Cho never fails to bring out her more adventurous side, often getting dragged into situations she normally wouldn’t find herself. Although some might not expect it, the both of them are pretty sharp-tongued, and have no problem proving it to one another.
// Flynn Arata:
Flynn and Kat grew to become the best of friends as children. She very much has them to thank for how she has matured, even if she is a little older than her red-haired friend. Back then, they’d taught Kat how to be more open to potential friendships - and though it definitely didn't always stick in her head, she now has great friends that she otherwise might not for it. When Flynn had to move away all those years ago, Kat was devastated - but now she is ecstatic to see her friend’s return - maybe moreso than she lets on.
// Dante DiAngelo:
Dante is another friend that Kat has grown close to over all their years in Bark Town together. Their lives have had their similar ups and downs, but they’ve been a constant for each other during trying times - something Kat appreciates more than she lets on.
// Judas Alto:
Kat doesn’t really know Judas all that well - but she recognizes him as a friend of some friends, and that at least puts him on the more positive side of the scale by default. Plus, he seems like a pretty positive guy.
// Bartholomew Mulkaper:
Kat holds a feint memory of young Barry from an age where she would accompany her mother to their pharmacy -- but that was quite a long time ago.
// Naoko Jin:
Naoko is a good friend of really good friends - something that puts her on Kat’s more open side. She’s a total fun-loving, open-book type girl from what Kat has seen, and she seems interested in a rather intriguing hobby - mechanics. Kat sees some artistic merit in that, and empathizes with her level of passion. She probably wouldn’t mind getting to know her further, beyond just a purchaser of her designs. It’d be a good opportunity to give her a hand in decorating that blank canvas of an arm.
// Zola Amari:
Although she never really got to know the girl well, Kat finds herself admiring the valiant efforts Zola and her family undertake to help unfortunate Pokémon. The girl seems the polite sort - generally rather amicable; treating Pokémon and people alike with care.
// Kenneth Hardroot:
Kat has only met him a couple times when he has come to her to pick up design packages for a family member, but from those times he seemed to emit a simple air about him. A country boy - doesn’t hold his tongue, and speaks honestly - the way country boys are.
// Ezekiel Miyamoto:
Kiel’s personality is likely the best one could find if searching for Kat’s rival. Joking, brazen - traits they sometimes share. But Kat’s friendship doesn’t have “limits” - once you get there, you’re her friend through and through. So in terms, she can’t help but somewhat like the exterior, but the true shallowness irks her.
// Sam Quinn:
Kat doesn’t know him very well, but she knows enough to know she doesn’t like his kind very much. He reminds her of her father. Money, Money, Money. Ugh.
// Family //
// Yua Akiyama:
Katalya has a deep appreciation and respect for her mother. She thinks about her every night and every morning, and sends her letters through her mother’s Bisharp whenever possible.
// Eiji Akiyama:
Katalya has an ingrained resentment for her father. He was never there for her and her mother - only sending money and never love. She can’t forgive him.
Other:
Katalya’s speech color is C1CDCD.
Her Sneasel, Lily, was not caught by Katalya, but was instead caught by her mother and gifted to her when she was 16.
Being a mutual friend between the two, Cho Toyama and Dante DiAngelo met through Kat - something she’s very glad for.
Raine continued his next few steps toward the elevator as the other two members of the trio tried to bring themselves to their senses. At least until he drew closer and stopped, at Adelicia’s behest. He mentally paused - she thought he was going to hurt her. It was not a new feeling for him; his reputation as ex-Harrow preceded him, even if he didn’t talk much about it - but in the moment it has caused him to pause. He’d just saved her, but-
The words repeated themselves in his head.
“Please don’t kill me.”
It’d been a while since he’d felt a chill run up his spine. His cold eyes moved to hers - but, noticing her gaze was elsewhere, he followed it to the equally-as-cold weapon in his hand, held down to his side. The dark crimson lifeblood slowly dripping from it and quietly spattering onto the cobble below. His grip shifted slightly and the sound of metal shifting against metal could be heard in the silence after his companions’ words - a heavy drop of beast blood now flicking up to spatter on his shirt.
His gaze rose again as his other hand moved to his lower back, tucking in his firearm somewhere behind him. “I’m not going to kill you.” He said as he turned back his right shoulder and faced away from the lift again. “As Hunter Victor said -- we are protecting you.”
He began walking away, deliberate steps in the direction they’d previously been headed. He supposed he couldn’t blame Adelicia. He was a Hunter - a killer. A beast prone to bloodthirst. She was naturally desirable - and vulnerable - to such a beast. The truth was, he couldn’t smell the scent of the Saint as he walked away.
When he found himself a couple dozen feet away, he let out a weary breath, allowing his lungs to fill with air once again.
“We’ll have to expedite our movement. Beasts will have heard the gunshots.”
Katalynn’s smile held as Alura assured her that she needn't sleep on the couch. She lightly nodded in gratefulness to the girl, finding her muscles relax a bit - she hadn’t known how others would react to her before, but it seemed as if she didn’t need to worry.
She also nodded again in agreement to her next statement, but paused. A bit about herself? Well...what was there to tell? All she knew of herself was what had come to happen within the last year.
She took on a more contemplative expression, her head tilting ever so slightly. “Well, uhh.. I like reading,” She began, her hands in front of her lap as she twiddled her fingers subconsciously. “..and I like meeting new animals, too. And - Oh! - and TV! I do so love TV.” She said with a smile returning to her lips. She’d seen so many things from TV in her time at Mother’s house. There were people on the screen that told of so many tales and useful info. Dramas, documentaries, seemingly living drawings - all things she’d watched and been entranced by the magicality of.
As she listed off some of the things she enjoyed, the other two girls in the room seemed to now turn their attention towards her. Her eyes focused, now distracted from her previous thoughts as they greeted her.
She extended her hand to meet Kate’s, moving it up and down gently as she’d been taught. She tried to make sure to release at a reasonable moment this time. “It is nice to meet you also, Kate Carson.” She returned with a content smile.
She turned to the Candelabra, her smile turning down a little. “Why would it be a misfortune, room-mate Jackie?” She inquired, her eyes glancing about the exotic figure in front of her. Her gaze scanned over the girl - not probingly or analytical in the appearance of her eyes, but rather, curious. She extended her hand out to her as well, palm open and fingers relaxed. “You are from Canada?? Your brethren look way different on the TV-“ She said, encouragement seeping into her tone, “-but it is nice to meet you!”
Katalynn released her grip on her baggage as one of the girls in the room greeted her with a big smile - a welcoming gesture. She extended her arm to receive Alura’s hand, offering a modest shake. The girl’s friendly demeanor seemed to visibly put the Dullahan at ease - at least a little. “Greetings - Alura,” She said with less apprehension than before, “Mother has granted me the name Katalynn.” There was a hint of pride in her voice as she said it, as if she were telling of a gift she’d been given. But she seemed to falter a moment as a thought registered in her head. “Share rooms?”
She’d never shared a room with anybody before besides Mother. For a matter of fact, she’d never had a sleep over or anything remotely similar. She’d hardly even talked to people of her age before - even though she did sometimes go to the park or the mall - but Mother had always been nearby. So right now was something like another entirely new world for her.
Her unoccupied hand fidgeted a little with the seam of her skirt as she continued her conversation with the black-haired girl with whom she was still shaking hands. She’d yet to get used to the modern handshake, it seemed; she let go. “Well...if sharing is undesired, I can sleep in the communal room. On the couch.” She offered timidly to the shorter girl.
Her eyes passed to the two other girls a little bit beyond the first - one wielding something Mother had called a “camera” and the second was a rather...foreign-looking person. One she didn’t recognize at all. She hoped they were as friendly as Alura seemed - which she was sure they were, seeing that their conversation appeared pretty cordial. They were apparently taking photos.
Kat had only had her photo taken very few times, something Mother had described as “saving memories” for later. One especially memorable one had been when she had first used the television. She’d been completely entranced, and the photo depicted a wide-eyed, popcorn-munching girl in a brand new pink rabbit onesie - her favorite bedtime attire. She wasn’t sure how she’d feel if someone else wanted to take her picture besides Mother - but it’d been fine so far. Her gaze turned back to Alura, interrupting her own thoughts.
“I don’t mind.” She finished with a slight, encouraging smile.
Eh? What a coincidence x3 I’ve always had somewhat of a fascination with Romania and some of the culture, so I’m glad I was able to incorporate some of that into the character(for the first time, woohoo) and make what I feel is a decent Bio. I have never done much traveling, but if I had the chance Romania would be a place I’d wanna go.
Sava stands 5’6” in height, and weighs in at about 140lbs. She possesses straight, shoulder-length blonde hair and cloudish-gray eyes which always appear especially watchful. These rather cold eyes often compliment the usual seriousness or emotionlessness of her default expressions. Despite being a bit smaller than most of her brothers-in-arms, Sava is still very bodily fit, as one would expect.
Psych Eval:
Sava Enache is a rather quiet, watchful individual when it comes to social circumstances. She generally doesn’t speak unless spoken to, and is likely one of the least outgoing in any group - but she doesn’t seem blunt or agitable, as many others of this stance often are. Notably, despite having experience in the tight-knit camaraderie of a Special Forces team, none have grown close enough to her to draw out any behavior beyond the usual.
There are times when Operative Sava does vary, though. Most notably, on the battlefield. When others find Sava in the midst of an engagement she almost seems like a different person - hyper-focused, stern-faced, and especially communicative with those around her. One moment she can seem a physically diminutive solider holding an angle for her partner’s backside, the next one can hear her Romanian-accented voice tearing through obstacles to her allies.
When in such situations, Sava doesn’t skip a beat. She moves her and her team from position to position fluidly and efficiently, and takes on targets with even less hesitation than expected of a soldier - and seemingly while completely devoid of ruth.
Skills:
Evasion and Infiltration training
Anti-terrorism training
Multilingual [Romanian, English, Russian]
Small unit/Infantry tactics
Diving/Scuba training
Mountainous traversal/combat training
CQC training
Advanced Combat Treating
Romanian Spec Ops training
Personal Equipment:
Benelli M1014 Shotgun Military md. [Collapsing Buttstock, Ghost-ring sights]
Arm-Mounted Defibrillation-capable Medical Injection System [Concept Art]
The ADMIS is a device mounted upon the operator’s left arm. It is primarily fastened in the form of a flexible bicep-length arm sleeve secured by ballistic nylon straps. Along the outermost side of the bicep and forearm sits a hardy, rather flat but boxy enclosed mechanism system that stores the silent motors of the device as well as various other parts. These two portions meet on the outside of the elbow with a compact elliptical gyrosystem to maintain full limb dexterity. Underneath the forearm just before the wrist circles a thinner, detachable portion of the system that can be filled and customized to contain various drugs, which can be injected into the operator or her allies with more efficiency and ease than other methods. The previously mentioned enclosed mechanism on the outside of the arm contains rather small but highly efficient silent motors that allow the array to enhance the locomotion and overall capability of the operator’s limb, granting them far greater velocity and strength in the limb when using the device. The array also contains small, padded compartments of storage large enough to store several vials and needles. It also holds the mechanisms required to maintain a field-carried, self-charging defibrillator system.
Bio: Sava Enache was born to James Hall and Maria Enache in Texas, United States on military installation Fort Hood. The two met when James traveled to Romania for vacation in-between U.S. Army deployments. They quickly fell for each other and after a time James eventually convinced Maria to marry him and move to America, close to Fort Hood - a stipulation being that she wanted to bring some of her close family. This created a pretty diverse growing environment for Sava as she was born some years later -- a mix of American and Romanian cultures making for an interesting household.
She grew up a rather normal child, progressing through schooling perhaps a little fast. This aptitude for learning was emphasized in high school when she began to pull ahead of others of her age, soon being placed in advanced classes by her father. She continued to excel in school until she graduated at the age of 17, and soon began her plans for attending college. However, it seemed then was when her fortune ran out.
Weeks before college terms started, the family got word from the U.S. Army that their husband and father had fallen in the line of duty. Sava was devastated and canceled her application, taking time to grieve for her father.
By the time she turned 18, Sava had decided she would take the initiative to follow in her father’s footsteps and join the United States Army. She enlisted some months after her eighteenth birthday and served in the Armed Forces for five years, experiencing four tours. After her deployments, Sava returned home to Texas, where her family awaited eagerly for her return.
They had discussed it for a time, and now that Sava’s service was over, her mother and her family decided to move back to Romania, applying and receiving dual citizenship for Sava.
The young woman took about a year off from military affairs, experiencing her ancestral home for the first time in...ever. However, something yearned inside her. It didn’t quite feel like she missed her deployments, but something felt missing in her life. Eventually, she found herself joining the Romanian Special Forces.
She served among her comrades for about five years, undergoing more training and even training courses alongside other American units, such as Green Beret and Marine Corps outfits. Even though the Romanian Special Forces was a rather different experience than the U.S. Army, she felt she was still pleasing her father by being a protector of those who could not protect themselves.
However, she wanted more. She reached out to her superiors, searching for more and more ways to help those she could in her place as an exceptionally trained and proved soldier. Luckily for her, it seemed someone was listening.
She was contacted by Rainbow to be recruited into anti-terrorist operations - which she dutifully accepted.
