uhhhh, hi there
I am here and I sorta exist so yes this is my ‘bio’ and it will probably be rather brief and suck and be sloppy, just like me. So, without further ado..
stuff about me
• Most people call me Barti or Bart as well as a few other things since it’s just easier or meaner than the actual thing - I invite you to do so as well.
• I’m a 23-year-old (bday June 20th!) Texan who enjoys thunderstorms and rain far too much, and likes anime, running, metal music, and copious amounts of DRUGS candy, among many other cool things - like DnD and MTG.
• I enjoy group rps as well as 1x1s. For groups I have what I think is a decent array of interests, most of it being profusely weeb-y. I like Fantasystuffs (Modern especially), supernatural themes, pretty much all Japanese stuff - including historically accurate settings - as well as general dark/grim themes, comedic slice of life trash, academy rps, unique plots, etc. etc. As for 1x1s I pretty much do romance, but I can do non-romantic stuff too if you give me something to work with xP The only genre I find myself not entirely comfortable with is really sci-fi stuff, but, if the plot/idea catches me enough it can hold my interest. Oh, and my writing level is high casual to low advanced.

"Mistralton City born-and-raised" isn't exactly the most exciting accomplishment one could add to their life's resume. That, however, doesn't stop Sibyl from making her own excitement. In the modestly-populated city of her home town, Sibyl creates her own fun through two methods; battling as skillfully and freely as possible - and being as explorative and active as she can. Her active nature is commonly expressed through several methods; rock-climbing, running, and most of all - swimming. Swimming is one of the activities that brings out Sibyl's most vibrant side, and she would be hard-pressed to pass up an opportunity to tread new waters.
This explorative, excited nature, however, is kept wrapped up - though not tightly - in a more sober visage. Sibyl holds herself to a more self-contained standard. She usually possesses a mature stature - but it is not that hard to break when one knows how. While she tries to retain an at-arms-reach nature, she is not as self-aware as one would think.

Also, in case anyone wanted to know: While I said I was going to go for a more NPC-ish role in this RP, I was thinking of giving my character a sibling, so HMU if you want to do any shenanigans of that nature.

@Yankee@Bartimaeus Is there any specific team or play style you two were thinking of? Lems wanted to name all her pokemon after food items, Sloth was thinking of pokemon that were themed after sleep, etc.
Hmmmn. Nothing solid as of this moment, but I've been entertaining a swimmer who names their Pokémon after bodies of water and stuffs. Still more to be explored.
Yeah, things are okay. I just have a difficult time retaining inspiration for things, regardless of how much I enjoy them. I have enjoyed the company of you folks while I was here though, short as it may have been. The full OOC was pretty refreshing honestly - but my mind is a fickle thing. It's hard to keep a sense of inspiration for things that don't perfectly fill multiple specific niches for me - which is an unreasonable and difficult-to-fill expectation. That's not to say I'm unengaged with the RP, I just don't feel I can write for it as well/as consistently as I like or as it deserves. I figured the current moment was probably the least intrusive time to make my notice.
That can be Arkisz's ultimate goal: make himself mentally linked with his Defender the same way Aura is linked with Hawk xD It would probably save him a lot of trouble.
Arkisz was still a bit conflicted as to whether the two remaining cultists deserved death without a trial of some sort, but there was little way to ensure their survival as things stood. So as Nanna may withdrew a wand and had her lackeys approach, he had ultimately little desire to try and stop them. As his vision cleared from the flash, he lowered his shield, clearing the room with his eyes as the Defender clashed about below.
Said Steel Defender seemed to be having a bit of trouble maneuvering carefully while trying to investigate every possible spot it could find for traps. It came abruptly to it that there was something in its path as Aura's hawk began to speak. It's voice matched the Air Genasi's. Now, the Steel Defender was reasonably perceptive - Arkisz has been traveling with Aura for a reasonable time, and she sometimes may have needed to communicate with the Defender itself. But it would not forsake orders. So it took a compromise, and halted its advance in the middle of the room, waiting for its master.
Arkisz meanwhile watched as Aura's senses returned to her and she began to speak of the situation below. He paused in thought for a moment. "Hm, yes.. I believe my friend may need some recalibrations - he is not usually so clumsy.." With that, he leaned towards the basement door and placed two fingers between his lips, loosing a whistle with a particular hooked shrill on the end. There was a moment of pause before the sound of light metallic tappings could be heard ascending the steps once more. He turned his attention back to the group, minus Flicker, again. "With your description, there is the potential for rather valuable trinkets down there. I wouldn't have taken the Hag at her word.."
