Bio

Just a small, fragile birdboy with a huge beak. I used to be Manapool, but we don't talk about those days. I have been here a while if you couldn't tell.

In all honesty, I am 23 and in a committed relationship outside of roleplay. I work as a cook who works nights. I'm a big fan of seeing people's food they make and learning about new foods if you ever want to share. I enjoy tabletop games, card games, and video games as well as reading comics in my spare time. Your typical nerd, you might even find me at conventions!

Most of the time I stick to Superhero groups and Play by post D&D here. I have admittedly begun taking far fewer rps. I prefer Fantasy and Superheroes as a genre but can find myself interested in Sci-fi settings too! My main fandoms are Fallout, Marvel, and Souleater but I have a lot of niche interests like Hylics, Neopets, and Monster High. If you have a strange fandom you want to rp? I am the kind to at least take a look at the source material!

These days I am closer to a low to mid Casual roleplayer. I want at least a paragraph from replies and don't mind dipping lower than casual if it fits the flow better. I am capable of writing decent long posts but expect me to take eons to reply. I also must warn you that I tend to lose a lot of steam in the winter months.

@Dark Cloud My bad! Edited!

For friends: Probably spore that speaks (since he would taste funky), and Hecate (since she can't eat her). These are the easiest for her to get along with and Spore that Speaks probably takes care of what is left of corpses she drinks.

For enemies: Vinashy seems like a major threat and Yvaine since I established Drow uses Scri'erk's species as war beast or maybe transportation/labor?

I'm not sure and I am open to suggestions.
For refrence, Scri'erk is like a mix between a scorpion and a whipspider
Name: Scri'erk
Alias/Nicknames: Ol' fat spider, Trapmaster, webmaster
Race: Giant cave Arachnid (Gaint monstrous spider-like bugs used by drow or found sprawling the Underdark. They have long pedipalps for grabbing, mandibles for injecting venom, and a long, thin stinger tail. Combined with a hard carapace and webs, these predators are no pushover! Fortunately, they lack good vision, relying on a very weak tremor sense and primitive eyes. Additionally, they are very combustible, suffering from a vulnerability to fire.
Gender: ♀
Background: Scri'erk was born in the wild, dangerous, Underdark amongst dozens of siblings. She scurried off as to not be eaten by her bigger siblings or her mother. Time in the caves was boring and lonely, and those few she met were often trying to kill her or vice versa. When she found Everdark, things were different. Food was more abundant than she could ever imagine. She spent her time lurking the caves and mapping its labyrinthian design in her head. Her mind brimmed with questions about what this once was, and as she reached maturity she set up a couple of webs near the entrance.

As the years went on, she would catch plentiful prey: from adventurers to beast to other denizens of the ruins. In time she became known as a barrier from the outside, as her webs alone made any who dared enter the cave easy pickings. Age came with wisdom and though only a decade old, she was already branching out in her trap design. Some of the more pitiful monsters began giving her offers and soon she became a go-to when looking for help warding off enemies. Just hope she isn't too hungry!

Personality: Scri'erk is an odd person. Stoic, but genuine, she is mostly just a silent observer at times. When she has to talk she is blunt and straightforward. She isn't one who relies of others and openly dislikes any association with anyone. That said, she isn't against the occasional idle chat here and there.

What makes Scri'erk so odd is that she does not have to restrain her primal needs: specifically hunger. She has to be constantly reminded not to eat her friends, and may an offering has ended with someone covered in webbing until she remembers not to eat them. Scri'erk is driven mostly by survival instincts and it shows.

Scri'erk likes exploring and fighting, as they are most of what she does these days. Her biggest fear is fire, it takes all the monstrous nature she had right out of her and turns her into a squealing little girl. Similarly, drow has a tendency to unnerve her, since they often take her kind.
Appearance: A picture of your character or a written description of what your character looks like, whichever suits you best.

Skills:
Combat Skill: Venomous bite/sting
Non-Combat Skill: Stealth

Possessions: Spider bindle. Just kidding, nothing but old bones and rusty chain shirts.
For the first time since they had met him, the draik seemed to take the scorchio very seriously when he spoke in response, carefully chosing his words with a more wistful tone.
"The king does not invite people inside the castle for any simple task. This quest is one that could never be done alone, even by the strongest of fighters and the craftiest of minds. You'll thank him later for giving you company" he declared rather harshely.

At the request of food, however, the draik seemed to perk up and gladly returned to his standard jolly self.
"Then eat you shall. Go with the maids. I shall stay here and await any others who come to participate" he decreed and with that a kyrii in a maids outfit gave a courtesy bow before saunting off with the crew. They went through the beautiful courtyard which had flowers from all across the lands. Inside was ever more decidant. A large dining hall with carefully hand carved buttresses and columns that support the tall ceiling. On the ceiling was an orange painting of the battle against Darigan and her people, showing Count Darigan himself fighting along side Hagan and Skaarl, both of which were actually absent from the fighting.

The meal set before them was exquisite as it was abundant. Any pallet could find a wonderfully crafted meal for themselves and the maids struggled to keep their watering mouths from drooling at the smell let alone the sight of their banquet. Quickly three plates with matching silverware were prepared for the heroes-to-be.
@Dark Cloudthey should beware my webs!

Dullin

"I certainly hope not... But you might be on to something" she shuddered at the thought. Earning treasure was all fine and good but a giant was a bit out of her pay grade. She was glad the dragonborn had manahed to show some restraint but his words in draconic left a bitter taste in her mouth. He seemed rather savage, but she was glad to have him with her now that she was expecting a fight.

"my money is on something in the water. You never know what is lurking in the depths" she said wearily as she scanned the horizon. Wistfully she reminisced on the time she nearly died fighting a giant octopus that managed to sneak into the sewers in neverwinter. If this encounter were anything like that she'd be needing new clothes soon.
"regardless, we wont know until we are out there. What do you say lads? Shall we hunt down some lost folks?"

@Dark Cloud Yes, but that doesn't mean it thinks like you and me. Probably can't talk or if it can, not very well. It's an opportunist by nature so you're safe with it until it gets hungry.
I think it would be fun to be the arachnid. Maybe set me up as a villain, get thwarted, and then play the kobold? Or as a plot device of some sort
