"Oh yeah no, I'm doing better, figured that was you who did some healing from a distance so thanks. Did not want to shift to fix anything at least not wanting to risk causing any accidents or whatever." Lance said with a bit of a shrug towards Ed when he asked how he was.

Mary was massively getting a bit of a headache with regards to the sort of arguing over various things at this point. Namely the confrontation between Guin and Robert. She personally wasn't sure how to feel with regards to Robert, aside from the fact that the guy seemed to think everyone in the area were children which was ridiculous to say the least. "Can you all stop arguing or trying to one up each other in options on what to do? Look, Guin is right, I may not be much of a chemist or anything like that, dealing more with genetics and that sort of thing, but I do know that the effects of chloroform is very different then the perception it has been given due to media of various types. We also don't have time to do something like that. But can say this, arguing isn't going to get us anywhere, and is just going to make me want to smack everyone on the head and I would prefer not to do that."

She fell silent for a moment, thinking, before continuing onwards, "The try and take him on all at once is our best bet with the time we've got. If we had the time to craft something to hold him or block his powers out at least temporarily, I'd be all for that. But we don't, so our options are very limited..."

"Yeah the potential tools and everything to even make the blockers that are just injectable would take a while to make, assuming you'd be able to even be able to get the necessary materials to make them, and making one of the other potential blockers would take like only a little bit shorter in time, but still would take a while," Lance interjected, paying attention to the conversation in front of them now.

"Exactly... Now Max, I think we might want to change that idea up a little bit but go with the basic concept, and Bethany, we'll save that one for a last resort... We have the firepower to easily knock him out from what I've been able to tell during the few interactions with him. And it doesn't matter if he's not next to you, he can use his powers from a bit of a distance, though not sure if it is limited to what he can see, seems like it though. If that's the case, Annie distracting at the beginning so we can get close makes sense, however then I'd suggest we try having Bethany or Lance blind him in some way with their own powers, as that would take that slight risk out of the equation entirely. As long as no one actually keeps contact with him for too long. Once he can't see in theory it should limit what he can do. Sure he'd potentially be able to shoot off his powers in random directions, but he would likely be slower in his attacks."

"Have to keep in mind, no matter what there always is the chance of everything in a plan going wrong, backups for backups are a good idea, at least in my experience." Flynn commented.

"That you are right, because if he gets his powers on one person the entire idea of the plan goes up in smoke. Though the power boost if it doesn't burn you out seems to be temporary, since after a while Perry stopped conjuring up ghosts everywhere, and I burned off the extra energy for me. So whoever gets hit, no matter who, we'll need to also potentially deal with the repercussions of that while continuing with the plan of knocking out Cortez so he can't do more damage. Which given how things are, might make it worth while to have two people at least for each part of the plan to deal with him, that's the main thing that I'd want to add to your idea Max, since we can't potentially just rely on a few people to do the majority, it is a team effort after all. That can make it so if one person gets overwhelmed, then another could potentially fill in that gap... Plus then we aren't relying on just a few people to carrying everything out too much."

"So if you get hit by the guy try to at least aim away from everyone else, got it. At least until it wears off."

"I feel like there are so many things that can go wrong with any of these ideas, but fighting and going in punching makes the most sense, currently anyway. I'm all for that option." Pietro added, looking at the others before adding mentally to Guin, Plus it is the plan most against what the one guy over there is saying, and I really don't like him at all.

"Well here's the thing, making illusions to distract and confuse, we have two people here who can do that. Both Miranda and Annie can do that, so if one fails we have another to fill the gap. We have two people who can potentially blind Cortez since that might be something useful to try and weaken him, Lance can with light, and Bethany in theory can do something similar with shadows. Heavy hitters wise, to actually knock him out or to deal with the effects of the others who potentially lose control of their powers. Lance, I know you wouldn't want to shift in this area given the way the space is, while large, not sure I'd want to fully risk it."

"Same here, hence why as I said to Ed, why I didn't shift before. Basically the idea is currently that it is a last resort. At least the way I see it."

"Agreed, only if it seems lie all hell is breaking loose anyway and there is no other way, or to prevent yourself from dying. Now, we technically have two potential people who can take over his body in a pinch, Guin or Carolina, if we need to, problem then exists where we have a few issues with that. Carolina would require someone to keep an eye on her body, and Guin would actually mentally switch bodies, so someone would need to restrain her a bit when she switched. But the upside being then Cortez wouldn't have any ways to use his powers. That would then be all that matters with that. Since then we can figure out what to fully afterwards, though it likely would be to fully knock out Cortez in some way."

The walls around them randomly began to rattle without warning. Not like it was an explosion or something, no, it had to be something else causing it, and Miranda was partially paying attention to that sort of thing trying to figure out what was causing it. If she didn't now better, she would have said that Magneto was the one causing it, but considering the work done to build this place, he likely wouldn't cause that sort of thing on purpose. Unless he was getting angry about something of course, and given the current situation, well that wasn't too difficult to understand why.

Zelda Flynn

Location: Cafeteria
Skills: N/A
Costume: Rogue

Zelda just looked over when Diana immediately started talking to the others who were in the immediate area. She very much felt out of place at the moment considering the people that she was currently around at the moment were all older then she was. Then again, she didn't exactly make friends super easily, so that wasn't super surprising, but it still was a little weird. She knew who it was that Diana was talking to, but that was about it.

Victoria mentioned maybe heading inside, and Zelda nodded her head a bit at that, though hearing Diana's comment about inviting her and Victoria along with them to go hang out or whatever. "I wouldn't want to intrude or anything with that, you go have fun or something... I'm going to head in though too, instead of just hanging around out here..." she said directly towards Diana when she had asked that of the trio that they were by. Not waiting to see if anyone followed after her, she walked inside of the cafeteria itself, not really wanting to sit around doing nothing for much longer.

Zarina Raynordattir

Location: Dorm
Skills: N/A
Costume: Viking

"Ooooooh getting candy sounds like fun!" she said happily as they walked along, "But depending on the trick that might be a whole lot of fun at times too, though getting onions just sounds weird to me." Zari wasn't too sure what else to expect with Halloween, odd considering that her birthday was near the holiday, but it also never seemingly popped up or was mentioned where she lived, so of course she knew next to nothing about it.

Day of the Dead sounded like an interesting one, turns out there were definitely a lot of holidays and celebrations out there that she knew nothing about. Asgardians had a few holidays of sorts, but Earth (at least this one) seemed to have a ton of them. "You don't need an excuse to party though. From what I know about how Asgard was before Ragnarok they basically found any excuse to throw a party, no matter how small. But parties are always fun."

"Ok, how about not refer to anyone like that, it's not exactly a nice thing to do if you want to stick around by us," Mary instantly said directly to Robert, continuing to get annoyed. Pietro was clearly getting annoyed by that statement, and looked like he was about ready to go over and punch the guy across the face.

"How about you shut your mouth, call me that again and you're going to wish you hadn't," Pietro grumbled, shooting daggers of a glare in Robert's direction.

She understood why others were saying that maybe they should leave right now as soon as they were able to, but she just couldn't. There were still some people on this station, and no one deserved to basically have someone trying to mess with their powers and kill them for no reason. Or if there was a reason, it hadn't been shared with them why that was. "I agree with Guin, we didn't exactly ask to be up here, but we can't just leave. Cortez can cause a lot of damage, and imagine if he eventually decides to try and cause mayhem on Earth too, then he'd be even more of a headache for us. So we might as well deal with this here and now while we're here."

As if right on cue, there was the sound of another rumble and the entire facility seemed to shake under their feet. "Well definitely sounds like we might want to hurry up then..." Flynn commented, looking at everyone else who had gotten there.

"That plan sounds solid Guin, but part of the issue is that he can use his powers as more of a ray effect, he doesn't have to touch anyone to do it, so we're going to have to be really quick about it. Since in theory depending on things, all he'd need is to get a hold of one person with his powers to make things a hell of a lot harder."

The others were still back a ways away from everyone else, but figuring things had calmed down slightly (aside from the random rumbling and sounds of explosions or something farther along) they'd be able to see about heading onwards. Lance looked over at Jaclyn now, "Guessing since the others haven't decided to head back down this way, they might have run into the others. Hopefully anyway, which means that Ed might be over there and we can see about getting you some better healing, since I don't have anything I'd be able to use to help you out with, since my patching up skills aren't power based, unless it's to stop bleeding in a pinch... Which is about the best my powers right now can do. Let's get going and see what's going on up ahead."

"You and I both know odds are you are likely looking for an excuse not to. Reason why you haven't mentioned it or anything."

"I am not just looking for excuses."

"Yes, you are, hence why you also never told your son about anything either."

"To be fair that one actually turned out to be a good choice, better off without me and it worked out. Pretty sure he was also better off without you too," she responded, muttering the last sentence under her breath and Magneto didn't seem to hear her, or if he did he didn't respond to it.

"You have until the end of this little endeavor, otherwise I will tell her," Magneto said, before he headed down the hallway after the others.

"Why can't things be a lot easier," she mumbled, heading that way too.

The group would be able to reach the others this round heading that way, and Lance was a bit glad to see that everyone was now back together and they just needed to figure out their next move. Glancing around, he eventually saw Ed was there, "Hey Ed, mind maybe healing someone? Jaclyn has a few bad burns still that kind of need it..." he said to him.

Mary was a little surprised to see that Magneto was with the group still currently, but she decided it best not to focus too much on that. They had to still head down the hall to hopefully find Cortez, even though a few people seemed to think that they all should leave, and currently her and Guin were the two openly saying they should stay and deal with this issue now. Otherwise they likely were going to later anyway.

Janelle Gauger

"You're lucky dat's all I ded, because you literally just ran into sahmeone, secahnds after tellin us not to eat anythin mend you it doesn't seem to effect me, and den promptly do de din you told us naht to do. Talk about bein a 'ypahcrite," she said to him, shaking her head. "A few slaps in de face is de least you deserve fahr pullin dat sahrt o' stunt." it was apparent she was starting to get annoyed with this whole thing at the moment, since she was practically acting like a babysitter to literally everyone else here.

The whole situation was getting ridiculous, she was getting tired and was about ready to just walk off by herself. Over the noise in the casino she had heard some useful information, but she was too busy babysitting everyone to even say what it was. The group seemed to be ready to head on, but she was more then ready to punch someone if they so much as reached towards anything that was offered to them by those who worked here at the hotel.

Jason Gauger

Location: Sierra Trail
Skills: N/A

Jason wasn't entirely sure what was going on or what had happened. All that he knew was that it was bad, and from what he could figure, someone was dead. They were missing the Roman girl who had gone with them. Now they had someone else with them who he had no idea who he was, but still. That didn't bode too well for their current situation. Seemed like they were going to take a break for a moment for the group to send off a message to someone else to let them know, that was something he understood them doing.

He put his sword away and just figured he'd wait to see what happened nearby. Though he knew that since they were still out in the open, he figured he'd at least keep watch or something like that. Since that way hopefully they wouldn't be overly surprised if monsters attacked them while they sent their message. This was definitely an interesting quest to say the least. Andy mentioned something about the roman girl being in Tartarus now, so that kind of answered the question he already was pretty sure he knew the answer to.

Marygold Isley

Location: Sierra Trail
Skills: N/A

She wasn't entirely sure how things were going to really go for Niah telling Nancy what had happened. Mary still wasn't even sure what to think of what had happened in general for herself. But that wasn't the only thing to worry about, as Andy didn't seem to be doing all too well at the moment. Before she could go over there to check on her, someone else went over to her. That person she recognized as Persephone, who immediately wrapped Andy into a hug, so she figured it might be best to leave Andy alone at the moment.

With Andy sort of explaining to everyone the basics or what happened with Madalyne, she figured she'd take a second to check on the other literal kid who was with them. That being Stella, as she wandered over to her little sister. "So how are you doing? Anything interesting happen with you guys?" she asked her, since Andy had just mentioned what happened with them more or less, she figured she'd see what happened with the others.

Rosalia Rider

Location: Maleficent's Castle
Skills: N/A

Things were getting a bit hectic for her, considering apparently there were now undead dragons around? That was not something to be taken lightly, not to mention the fact that the dragons were deciding to attack the area that they were in. She wasn't entirely sure whether or not the dragons were on their side or not, since they seemed to be attacking everything and everyone within the castle, so that worked out to say the least for the moment, since Merlin managed to get a shield up to defend them. That was an actual use for magic.

What wasn't a use for magic, was Matthew deciding to make a bridge out of rocks for no good reason, "Right, like that was actually a good use of magic right there," she said, clearly referring to what Matthew did and being a bit sarcastic about it. She was getting annoyed with magic, and the idea that it sort of just messed with most everything and with the flip of a coin could screw them over if they relied on it way too much.

Jack Gold

Location: Maleficent's Castle
Skills: N/A

He actually hadn't fully expected his father to answer his question. Though it was an answer he kind of was hoping would not be the case. The idea of him taking over when Maleficent failed was not something that he'd wish on anyone. Actually, he was pretty sure that he'd be a worse tyrant then her if given the chance. That was insanely concerning, but his attention shifted to the dragons flying over head and fire started falling down on them. Rubble fell between them as he spoke to him, "Wait a second stop!" he managed to say, but by the time the dust cleared he was gone.

Well now he was in the middle of a courtyard that was on fire, and so he figured he'd get moving out of there and try to find the front entrance or something. Eventually, he managed to find it and saw something that looked like it might lower the bridge and open everything so that they all could enter the castle. Setting to work, he managed to cause the bridge to lower, allowing those nearby to gain entrance to the castle. He ran over that direction, eventually looking and seeing everyone else he had left behind. "You guys want to get in here too to cause some damage or what?" he called over to them.

Klara, Daughter of Thor

Location: Limbo
Skills: Sword Fighting
Spells: N/A

Klara thought that the fighting was getting more tiring then anything. Her chain hadn't really done a whole lot except for gain the attention of the demons some more. And one decided to turn her into a kabob and skewer her. That was one of the worst things that could possibly have happened. Though the lack of pain was instantly noticeable to her, which was definitely an interesting feeling. "Huh... Was that supposed to hurt?" she couldn't help but ask with a bit of a giggle.

With one quick motion, no concern with regards to the sword that had stabbed her or any other demons and she pulled her own sword from her sheath. Running it straight through the offending demon and killing it, "Honestly you'd think you'd learned not to just randomly stab an Asgardian who can just stab you back. That in general is just insanely rude anyway to do..."

Zelda Flynn

Location: Cafeteria
Skills: N/A
Costume: Rogue

Zelda hadn't expected to fully run into anyone or anything like that immediately upon getting to the area. This was one of the few instances of her pushing outside of her comfort zone a little bit. Since usually whenever she went to conventions or something in a costume, her face was hidden. The best she did for this one was to choose the costume that had at least a hood that she could pull up. Her attention shifted to glance at both Diana and Vicki when they both spoke to her.

"...This costume was kind of simple, had to try and make something else from what I already had... It would have been too easy to just pull one of my other costumes out of my closet, but I figured I'd do this one... Actually the first time I've done this sort of one anyway..." she said as Diana wandered a bit to talk to the other three that were nearby.

Zarina Raynordattir

Location: Dorm
Skills: N/A
Costume: Viking

Zari giggled a bit when she saw Andy down the hallway, and the costume she chose was a bit on the nose. She had to agree with the comment that they both went with the obvious costume choices that made the most sense for them. Truthfully she could have just worn her actual armor, but she figured she'd go for the more cheesy types of costumes and not the real thing. It was more fun that way, hence why she contemplated taking the fake axe that came with the costume and decided against it.

[color=05794C]"Let's go! It'll be so much fun running around and seeing all of the costumes. That sort of thing always interested her so she was wondering what people were going to dress up as and all. "Still wondering what Halloween even is, since no one seems to fully explain it. I just basically have been told that we dress up in costumes and all not sure why still, but oh well it's lots of fun to that anyway." she continued, looping her arm around Andy's.

Marygold Isley

Location: Asteroid M
Skills: N/A

Robert was really getting on her nerves a bit and trying to order her around. Not to mention, you'd think if you were seemingly scared of something, you wouldn't see there and insult openly whatever it was you were afraid of if it was a sentient thing. "Look genius that's not going to happen. There are a lot of people on board this place, and with what Cortez is doing I'd be more concerned about him killing everyone then me. So how about you can it and stop trying to order people you just met around." she didn't usually get like that with people, but she was really at the end of her rope. There were a million problems going on right now and someone they just met trying to basically get her kicked out and off somewhere else was not something she wanted to deal with at the moment.

Hearing Ed's comment, she couldn't help but laugh a little, "Sorry Ed, I've got nothing."

Thankfully she was able to be distracted by someone knocking out the person throwing electricity around, and smiled slightly when she saw Guin, Pietro and Bethany there. "Hey there," she said with a slight wave towards the group before heading over to the three of them. "Definitely a lot of fun here isn't it?" Mary said with a shrug. "Haven't seen Cortez since we ran into him a while ago, and last we had seen him was down this way..." she said, looking at the hallway area. There was one more branching path nearby, so she was just sort of assuming that he likely had gone down that path.

"Will say this has definitely been an interesting sort of adventure hasn't it? Anyway he probably went down that path over there if we're going off of the direction we had last seen him in," she continued, pointing towards the other hall, "He could be just about anywhere wrecking havoc since he had a bit of a head start."

Lance Banner

Location: Asteroid M
Skills: N/A

"Well guess that solves the issue of the whole situation with regards to the tornado," Lance commented, watching the tornado disperse. That made their lives a whole lot easier now. The winds dying down had indicated that Guin, Bethany and Pietro had managed to deal with the person causing them. Whereas now Neil had manage to get rid of the remaining tornado entirely. So now they could go on ahead.

Mira just sort of shrugged upon this whole situation, and she was all for seeing about getting the hell off this space rock. "All for going onwards, since we seem to be continuing a trend of bad luck wherever the hell we go..." she said, as she started walking along in the direction that they were needing to go.

He walked over to where Jaclyn was, "Seems like you keep getting the short end of the stick with injuries and getting thrown around huh?" Lance said to her, unsure of what else to say. "Hopefully we meet up with the others and then Ed can maybe patch up your injuries then... We should be meeting up with them again soon, I'd think."

Magneto was still staying by them, though he did look over at Miranda, and decided to ask a question with regards to a certain situation. "So, have you told her yet? I know at one point you had been contemplating it, but tell me, have you actually said anything about it?" he asked her.

"I don't know what you're talking about." she said, but one thing was obvious, and that was she was very much purposefully not looking at him, or well, anyone really.

"She'll find out eventually, perhaps if you won't I will. Could be an interesting conversation."

"Don't you dare do that!" she said rather quickly, "Not exactly something easy to discuss. I will, just needs to wait a little bit for it... There are more pressing issues to be concerned about anyway."

Zelda Flynn

Location: Her dorm
Skills: N/A
Costume: Rogue

Zelda had done some work on her costume, though it probably would be the first time in a long time that she wasn't wearing a costume that covered her face. Well, mostly covered her face anyway, she still at least had a hood that she had pulled up and over her head. She had decided to go as Rogue, specifically wearing one of the outfits she had worn during her days with the Avengers as opposed to with the X-Men. She already naturally had the white streaks in her hair too so it made sense. It was a simple outfit, she'd leave the drawing attention thing to her sister whose outfit was definitely bright and colorful.

Having spent most of the month working on her own costume and that of her sister had kept her kind of busy, but it always was fun to her. It was relaxing and calming to work with. However right now she probably should eventually see about leaving the dorm room and head to the dance. She wasn't entirely sure if she'd enter the costume contest or anything like that still, or even what she'd do while there, dances weren't exactly her sort of thing anyway, but she did head out eventually heading towards the cafeteria.

Zarina Raynordattir

Location: Dorm
Skills: N/A
Costume: Viking

Zari hadn't been entirely sure what sort of costume to get for the dance. This sort of thing was fairly new for her, as was celebrating Halloween in general, so she wasn't entirely sure what to expect. For her costume, she eventually settled on a viking costume, however she had immediately switched out the boots the costume came with for a more functional pair, since they made absolutely no sense to go with the costume. Neither did the weird hat that people seemed to insist on them wearing. There was no practicality in that sort of thing!

The costume also came with a fake axe and she basically was debating whether to take that or to just sheath her sword and bring her sword with her. That decision was a rather quick one as she tossed the fake weapon aside and hooked her sheath on instead, before stepping out of her dorm. Next on her todo list was to try and find where Andy was, but she figured she likely was in her dorm or something, so she headed that way in order to see if she could find her.

Klara, Daughter of Thor

Location: Limbo
Skills: N/A
Spells: Kjede av Hjerter

"Oooooh, what happened to him and why'd you use his bones for your staff?" she couldn't help but ask, still very much not paying attention to what was going on with regards to the Limbo people and all. Klara just found the staff to be way more interesting at this point instead. Of course that's when all hell seemingly started to break loose with the people in the room, as the one lady decided to turn into a child or whatever and take off with Carolina. Well that was just plain rude, since she wasn't sure how she felt about most other people here currently and Carolina was someone familiar to her.

Jack was deciding to yell about something or whatever, but Klara sort of ignored his existence still. Also apparently while she hadn't been paying attention someone had ended up dead? It was all so confusing, but she did pay attention to the demons that had all popped up. Instead of using her sword, she decided to mess around with her magic, as she cast a spell, a glowing chain of bright pink hearts shot out and slammed into a few of the demons in the area, burning them a bit. Klara didn't know what fully was going on with this, but oh well.
