Bio

A roleplayer, a mom, a gamer, and a crafter. I like to make stuff, whether it be in writing or drawing or crochet, or paint, the list goes on. If it requires creativity, I can assure I have tried it at least once. If you want to see some of the stuff I make, feel free to ask. I do take commissions too though I hate my own art. Everyone else seems to love it and hey, sometimes you gotta take the money where you can get it, ya know?

Anyways,
It's a pleasure to meet you. Wanna rp with me, then just hit me up! I will for sure rp with you, no matter the plot!

Everything is fine. Just fine. Everything. Is. Fine. Nothing is wrong. I'm not lost. I'm just on a special little excursion. It's fine. It is fine. In fact, I'm sure if I take a right, right here, at this tree that I marked ten minutes ago, it will lead me right back to the path and get me back to my group and we can go back to town and I can go back to work and act of this little event never happened. Because it never happened. I didn't get lost. I can't get lost. I'm me! It's impossible for me to get lost!

And yet, no matter how much she tried to talk herself out of it, Adrila was well and truly lost. She had even picked up a sharp stone that she was using to mark the trees as she went by to only find those trees again. And again. And again. At this point, she wasn't sure if she was getting anywhere or if she was somehow trapped in a tiny circle that kept her going around and round and round. That's the only reasonable excuse she could come up with. She had a map and a compass and a plan and a backup plan and a backup for her backup but right when she found herself in unfamiliar forests, it was like everything stopped working or mother nature itself was against her. The compass needle kept spinning wildly, which made no sense- AT ALL! And some really strong wind ripped the map right out of her hands and took it away to then never blow again. Some foul magic had to be at play! That was the only thing Adrila could think of. Someone or something wanted her there in that forest and it was succeeding! She was not getting out of this place any time soon and she was so HUNGRY!

Adrila just conceded herself to roam the forest in a futile attempt to hopefully stumble upon something, anything helpful. She kept the compass out in front because every now and then, in between its bouts of wild spinning, the compass would pause for just a moment and point in one specific direction. She assumed that the magic, for whatever reason, had pauses in its effect and the compass was pointing north in those few moments of clarity. So she followed it, taking a moment to pause if she wasn't sure she was going in the right direction to only continue after being shown the way again. This continued for another twenty to thirty minutes, Adrila growing more and more distraught as time went on. It took everything she had not to pocket the compass and just flail through the forest, screaming at the top of her lungs for someone to come find her but that would be very unladylike and she couldn’t stand to be found like that, a sniveling mess of a woman who was very much out of control. So, for appearance sake, she kept going as her grip on the compass grew tighter and tighter. She had to be getting somewhere, right? If anything, she’ll eventually find the north pole at this rate.

By the time Adrila heard voices, she had twigs and leaves stuck in her long hair, dirt streaked across her cheeks and it was very obvious she had been crying a time or two. Her hair was disheveled from her having pulled at it quite a few times in a panicked state and the compass’s glass cover had been broken when she tripped and dropped it on a tree root. When the voices hit her ears, she froze. She had been walking for a good hour or two now and it had seemed like she would never get out of that accursed forest. Her feet were moving before her mind could catch up to what she was doing. Before long, she broke through the trees, finding herself on a crest of a small hill that overlooked what could only be described as rundown settlement. At the sight of the people below, she had to bite her lip to keep from crying. She was finally saved! No more roaming the forest for her! Finally!

She sprinted down the side of the hill, almost tripping up along the way, but kept her footing and continued her sprint. She found purchase on flat ground and started to make her way towards the villa. However, it seemed to be a lot further away than she had firsg assumed. Her excitment had taken her down the hill in a run and had carried her for a bit but after awhile, she couldn't keep the sprint up any longer and soon was speed walking as fast as her cramping side would allow. She could have sworn the villa was right there when she saw it on the crest of the hill! And yet, she's still going!

The speed walking eventually simmer down to exhausted strolling as she found herself slowly getting closer snd closer to the villa. Was this thing getting further away from her or something? Had she not gauged the distance correctly in her excitment? Was this another terrible spell to keep her trapped in that accursed forest? Why wasn't she there yet? Her feet hurt and her stomach rumbled loudly. She was tired and tears welledup in her eyes as she walked. She bit her bottom lip as she sniffled, trying to keep the tears from flowing. She was so close now. She just had to keep going.

Eventually, Adrila found herself finally getting close to the villa after about another thirty minute's time. Her excitment pushed her into a sprint despite her exhaustion. She pushed into the settlement, finding a small dwarven woman stepping out of one of the houses in a contemplative manner. She ran over to her, pausing just a few feet away as she bent at the waist, trying to catch her breath from the sprint. “E-excuse me,” she began as she held up a finger in the air before straightening and placing her hands on her hips while doing so. She took a deep breath, held it for a moment before continuing until her heart rate settled down enough for her to speak normally. “I’m sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you could tell me where I am. I seem to have gotten a little- lost.” She spoke the last word like a curse. She still hated the fact that she had gotten lost but having spent the last hour and a half wandering a forest despite your best efforts does not count as being not lost. She was very, very lost. Incredibly so. If it wasn’t for the compass, she would still be wandering that forest. She was thankful for that at least. She found civilization, or at least people. She found people.
Such a terrible girl! She deserves to be cursed for the rest of her life for getting an earth dragon killed for nothing!
The rest of the day seemed to pass uneventfully. Teachers and students came and went through the campus as the bell chimed its hours for all to hear. The snow had thickened throughout the day and the staff worked hard to keep the pathways clear for the students but as the temperatures began to drop more and more, an alert was sent out to all students and faculty.

"Due to freezing temperatures expecting during the night and the following day, classes will be cancelled for Tuesday, January 21. The cafeteria will remain open for students. Be Careful while traversing campus in this cold weather and be sure to remain warm. We'll see you all back Wednesday."

It was far too cold to be out at their usual meet up area, so a table not far from the coffee booth served as the temporary meet up area for our group of friends. The tables were packs with students, the area noisy with chatter. No one wanted to be outside in that weather. It was far too cold for anyone to want to remain outside for too long and despite that, there were a few people who dared it, bundled up in so many layers, they looked like puffed up statues rather than students.
Alright. Works for me.

*cracks knuckles* One time skip incoming.
It wasn't that Malia didn't dream. It was more that she didn't really sleep. A busy girl, Malia always was. After all, you can't run an empire out of your pocket without knowing every little detail about every lord and lady you had 'recruited'. Every little dark secret, bloody detail, childish giggle, she knew it all and she was sure to keep it all up to date every single day. Needing information on a bastard child? She had you covered. She could give you their name, age, location, and where they would probably be in the next few days. Someone important was suddenly killed, she knew all the details. Who, what, when, and why, assuming it wasn't her own doing, of course. She had rats in every alleyway, some quite literally. She had critters carrying notes and letters far and wide. Your average worker was paid handsomely for any interesting information they could provide and they were willing and waiting to do so in a snap of a finger. It's the little people that run the show, the forgotten few. The servants, the nannies, the guards. They know all the secrets and everything that goes on inside their workplace. They gossip too! Nothing gets past them and it was those people she had the best relationships with. Malia had a lot of money and she was more than willing to spread it around if it meant she could get more later down the road. She had the infrastructure by the root hairs! And then that stupid assassin showed up.

Those bastards did their due diligence too! They hired the man in the morning and he attacked her that evening, giving no chance for rumors or gossip to spread. She had heard that some lords went to meet a rather unscrupulous man but she hadn't the time to dig into him before he was kicking down her bedroom door. Of course, she had expected to eventually have to deal with such a situation, so she had a plan set into place for when someone broke into her home. When the door met the ground, she had a long chain of jewels in her hand and was dragging her hands along it as magic flowed from her hands into each jewel along the way. One after another, the jewels dissolved, their particles condensing into large dogs that formed directly in front of her. She got about half way through her little chain when suddenly her magic just stopped. She felt a tingling on her skin that she had never felt before and looked down at her hand as she tried to summon up her magic. Nothing. She looked to the assassin who held up a glinting crystal the size of his forearm, one she had never seen before. He grinned viciously at her as he tucked it into his back pocket. She sneered for a moment before she looked down at the pack of canines before her. Six, six large dogs would just have to do. She raised her hand and gave a snap. The dogs attacked and the battle began.

It was a bloody battle. The man had no choice but to focus on the pack of dogs as they all went after him together. While he was busy, she got to work on getting her more powerful stones out, resting a black one on the top of her desk as she dug in her drawers for more mundane weapons to use on this man. It's obvious that the crystal he had shown her somehow stopped her magic and if she wanted to win this battle against him, she would have to find a way to break it and fast. The man was hacking her dogs apart one at a time. They were getting their attacks in, thankfully but he seemed to be ignoring them for the most part.

Finally she pulled a long knife from her desk, brandishing it in front of her as the man cut down her last dog. He was panting and bleeding heavily in some areas but his leather armor seemed to shield him from the bulk of the dog strikes. He did, however, favor one leg over the other and she noticed how there was a split above his right eye that kept dripping blood down into his brow and eye, blinding him for a moment before he fiercely wiped it away. She could use that to her advantage. If she could time it right, she could strike the moment when he was blinded and get the crystal or a fatal blow. However, she didn't much trust her own sword fighting skills. She would much rather let her beasts do the work for her.

Not a single word was spoken between them as they clashed in the center of her home. Her swordplay was clumsy at best but she was bright and looked for any chance that would give her an advantage. It was when her knife met his sword and he sent her sliding off and to the side did she realize just how much trouble she truly was in. She stumbled, trying to keep her footing as he came up to her side, sending a knee into her stomach and doubling her over. Her knife clattered to the ground and she knew she was in trouble. Her eyes darted about wildly for a solution. Spotting his ravaged leg in sight, she sent a swift kick to the wound. The man finally let out a yell, perhaps because he wasn't expecting a woman such as herself to fight like a street urchin. He recoiled back from her, bouncing on one leg as he steadied himself into a more appropriate stance, favoring that leg even more now.

She straightened, giving him a wild grin at the sight of him on the defensive for once before she reached down to grab her knife once more. Never the one to miss a chance to brag in any way, she raised her free hand and signaled for him to come at her. He sneered at her before the two clashed once more. He was enraged now, it seemed. His strikes were far less controlled but with far more power to them than before. She found herself on the defensive, trying to block one blow after another, the sword cutting into her skin in some glancing blows. She had to find a way out of this mess or else his sword would find a more permanent place within her body and she would find herself dead. She peered up at his face and saw it then, the trickle of blood as it formed the drop she most desperately needed.

It was as if time slowed. She watched as that drop of blood formed and then dropped from his brow into his eye, causing him to blink fiercely. In the same moment, his blade came down upon her in an overhead swing that had such force behind it, her own strength was not nearly enough to keep it from crashing down on her. Her knife clattered to the ground and the assassin's blade found purchase in her shoulder. She tried to ignore the pain as she reached around him and grabbed the crystal out from his back pocket, adrenaline the only thing keeping her on her feet at that moment. Pain seared through her body but she kept moving, had to keep moving. The man pulled out a small knife from somewhere she did not see and embedded it into her midsection, deep within her gut before giving it a sickening twist.

She sent a kick to his midsection, sending the man reeling as she stumbled back towards her desk. She had to keep moving, keep moving, keep moving. She had a small window to work with and it was only getting smaller. She threw his crystal on the ground and stomped on it, feeling a wave of relief as the tingling sensation finally ended when the crystal shattered under her heel. Without a moment's hesitation, she grabbed the black jewel from off her desk and pulsed magic into it. The jewel dissolved but didn't condense into anything physical like the dogs before. Instead, the shadows in the room seemed to rumble with a deep growl. She smiled as she watched the assassin's eyes grow wide with realization. She threw her hand out and her magic rose her door off the ground and slammed it into place in its frame. Her smile grew vicious as flashed her teeth at him in a predatory grin. “Welcome to my home. Thank you for visiting. I hope you had a wonderful stay.”

His screams echoed through the streets that night.

By the time the guards had found Malia, she was half dead, bleeding out from her wounds with a shadow beast curled around her. It took her transforming her beast back into a jewel for the guards to finally get her out of the house and to someone who could heal her. The assassin was nowhere to be seen. Malia had said he had simply run away but seeing as there were no open windows and they had to break down her door to get to her, they doubted her story but fearing ending up in the shadow beast's stomach, they didn't question it.

Now Malia was dreaming, a pleasant dream that made no particular sense to anyone except Malia. Flowers, with bright colors and smiling faces. That was, until she heard a voice, not one particularly directed at her but one that was so powerful, it commanded respect and she listened. Her eyes slowly fluttered open as she lightly groaned to herself. She liked that dream. She wanted to go back to it but no matter how much she tried to close her eyes and go back to sleep, her body refused to listen. You have woken. It wove around her like a spell, trapping her in an awakened state and refusing to allow her to sleep once again. She let out a loud huff as she finally relented and opened her eyes completely, gazing upon the accursed woman before her. Her form was still blurry and unfocused, like her eyes refused to acknowledge her presence but Malia was stubborn and refused to accept any outcome that wasn't in her favor. She struggled against the magic that bound her but she had no strength to her. Her body felt like it was made of lead and kept her locked in place, even as she sneered at the woman.

Then a gravelly voice cut through the silence and Malia's eyes shot off to her right, where she saw a large orc not too far from her. He was speaking with the woman, it seemed but she told him to be patient. Oh silly, silly woman. Malia was not one known for patience.

“Oy! Where are we? What do you want with us? Answer me or I'll feed you to my rats!”

See! Monsters are better than humans!

Location: Building 1, lobby

Iris peered at Alphonse as he gave a nervous chuckle. She let a bright, wolfish grin cross her face as she gave him a light bump with her hip. “Hey, don't go sweating it.” She stepped closer to him, as if making herself a physical barrier between Alphonse and the large group of residents in the cafeteria. She straightened her back, bringing herself to her full height even though at her full height she found she was still just a smidgen shorter than Alphonse. “You got me.” She sent out a challenging gaze out to anyone who caught her eye before she peered back at him over her shoulder. “Nothin' will happen to you while I'm here. Don't worry.”

And that was when the commotion in the kitchen started. Iris snapped her head in that direction, tuning into the sounds from within the kitchen. The fridge was on the fritz. All the food in it was spoiled. When she heard the lamb Borkus had planned for her was ruined, Iris felt a little saddened. She didn't know that Borkus had planned her a meal like that and then lost it. It was a shame, really. One she would have to just get over. She didn't even know she was going to get a special meal so losing it wasn't too much of a lose.

“It sounds like the fridge is out. They didn't catch it in time. The food in it has gone bad.” A look of disappointment had settled on her face at the thought of having fresh lamb for dinner. Man that sounded so good right now. Thankfully, she did have a large filling of protein earlier that day. So she wasn't in desperate need of it now. “Including my lamb.” She sighed as she shrugged her shoulder. “C'est la vie.” She peered around the cafeteria, watching the tables fill up quickly. At this point, many of the tables were being taken. Very few were left open at this point and, of course, the few who were sitting alone. Iris's eyes kept moving to Khalid as he got his food and took a seat. She wanted to talk to him about the therapy he was offering the residents.

“Perhaps, we should find ourselves a seat. They're filling up quickly. I also would love to talk to that Shoggoth about the therapy he is offering.” She peeked at Alphonse before nodding to the table Khalid had taken for himself. “You are, of course, welcome to go and do your own thing. I don't mean to drag you along without you wanting to.” She slipped her hands into her pocket and waited a moment before heading to the table, whether Alphonse followed or not. She pulled the chair out and flipped it around before sitting down. She rested her arms on the top of the back before she rested her chin on her arms. “So,” she began before she locked her eyes on Khalid. She was trying so very hard to ignore the smell of the Shoggoth. It really was so strong. It helped that they were in a wide open area like the cafeteria. She was just worried what the therapy sessions would be like, trapped with that stench in a small room. They would have to cross that bridge when they come to it.

“Therapy huh? So, how would that work? Have you worked with werewolves before? Would I be your first one? Where did you get your license from?” She paused a moment before she narrowed her eyes on him. “You do have a license, right?” Can monsters get licenses? She supposed they could, as long as they looked like her of Khalid here. Someone like Alphonse would find it hard to go to a mortal class without people freaking out. So it wasn't completely unrealistic to assume he would have a license for therapy. Or did monsters have their own therapy licenses and classes? That would be interesting but if monsters did more than just try and survive from day to day, one would hear about it, right? Unless, unless the more sophisticated monsters had their system buried within the human system. That could work. Maybe, they just followed the same standards but tweaked it a bit to make up for the fact that the client-base are monsters and not humans.

Iris's gaze lost focus as she found her thoughts falling into the rabbit hole of just what monsters could do, if they wanted to. After all, why stop at therapy. Did they have their fingers dipped into all the things mortal? Are there really lizardmen running the government? They could, if they really did have the ability to shapeshift. But why would a monster want to control the world anymore than a human? They were just trying to survive like everyone else. She would definitely have to look it up when she gets back to her apartment. Only then did she remember her phone was destroyed and her focus seemed to return as she frowned. She still needed a new phone and maybe get a computer.
@ERode
I suppose that's true. Money can buy a lot of things. Even political power. :P

And yes, since Bunnies has finished their sheet, there'll be no need to wait. Once they're done with the edits I pointed out, I can begin the selection process.

... And make a bunch of people sad... T-T

... But a bunch will get to be happy too! So, silver lining?

Modified properly! Tell me if it looks good.
@BunniesOfDoom
That is a very cute faceclaim and I like her obsessive nature.

HOWEVER!

There's no such thing as Telekinetic or Healing Magic "schools". The closest you could get to it would be Wind Magic (for moving things at range by making the wind carry it) and Light/Holy Magic (for casting Holy Healing spells).

I'd also urge you to check the "Magic:" hider and the "Spell List"-section therein, to properly list your spells.

Other than these bits though, she looks fine. Althought I'm not sure Village Chief is an "occupation" you can have before settling into and living in a place... xD

I'll go take a look and modify it.

So everyone else gets to just claim their jobs and I gotta work for mine! Not fair! Fine, fine. She'll work for it. Like a mad scientist trying to prove God is fake.
