Endless darkness, endless night
A world anathema to light
All that's made can surely break
Only in dreams can we awaken
Sound and fury, heralds, horns
Cry for the one from nothing born
Now ichor leaks from broken hearts
Now come, warrior of the stars!

The ball went sailing through the air. Or, so Kali figured it would. Instead, her throwing arm had been limp, and the ball had only flew a small distance. Thankfully for Kali, however, the kids had gotten the message, and quickly took off somewhere else to play. "Kids these days," Kali muttered to herself, clearly disgruntled.

Turning her attention back to the injured victim, Kali took note of the scene. Her elderly neighbor had a clear bite wound on his hand, a fact confirmed by a somewhat familiar individual. One of Hannah's friends, Kali could only figure, as she took notice of her other neighbor next to him. The teen had already been on the line with emergency services, although Kali was displeased with what she heard.

"Stand clear?" Kali asked, puzzled about the change in treatment. One medical professional, the doctor at the restaurant, wanted to keep the fever down. But now the paramedics wanted them to stand clear? "He's probably already burning up with a fever—just like Jeff."

Kali glanced momentarily at Isaac, wondering what he had been thinking.

"I'll go get some ice from my freezer, just in case."

Pulling her keys from her purse, Kali walked over to the apartment door. Before she was able to open the door, however, a bird swooped down from the sky and began to peck at one of the women that had come to the old man's aid. "What the fuck?!" She loudly exclaimed, startled by the incident. Were the birds somehow afflicted with the on-going craziness too? "Are you okay?"
@Xaltwind Velvet's not sad! Velvet is explicitly not sad about her family dying since it's been so long! Velvet is dead and a gamer! She's just vibing!

Pictured: Velvet

We're monsters! Some of us are cursed to be this way and Suzy is legit dead! She has a right to be sad!

And to be fair, only one part of Iris is sad and broody. The wolf is happy as can be lol

Everything is cold and miserable for Suzy it'd be a miracle she'd be anything but sad. Probably why she latches onto Velvet since she's always radiating coolness/positivity, especially with those sunglasses.
Short Suzy post this time around; partly so I can exit an old scene that people have already progressed from but also in case anyone wants to HMU for a Suzy post next time around.

The air had become tense, aided by the cold front Suzy radiated. Her willingness to share her story had held the entire room in a chokehold. It left Suzy uncomfortable, even more so than she already had been from speaking of her untimely death. Even with her death being so long ago, she had struggled to come to terms with it—a fact often made countless times worse by annoying, nosy paranormal investigators digging into the case of the "murdered Krause girl".

For once, Suzy was grateful that hardly anyone was able to see her. She was akin to a timid mouse, afraid to progress. So, when the knife to cut the tension suddenly burst into the room, Suzy took the opportunity to flee for her own sake.

Phasing through the condo door without the slightest care in the world, Suzy disappeared down the hallway. The hallway's ceiling lights flickered as she "float-sprinted" down the corridor; an unintended side effect of her current mental state. Suzy hadn't known or seen where she was running off to, just that she needed to get away. To be somewhere alone—for now.

If only ghosts could cry.
Welcome to the guild, @Tarotman.

Hey, that's offensive. Her kids are dead.

We all know Suzy is just Velvet's bratty adoptive daughter.
