Yeah he is a tsundere to people he likes though, you just straight up hit and insulted him and never bothered to get to know him. Plus to him he was doing aya a favor and your telling him he was wrong in trying to be nice to someone. Stop me if you want to counter again
Yes, dragging someone out without another word or asking them anything is being very nice. Totally top-tier communication there. Plus offering to help Argos and holding back in a restrained sisterly bonk on the head is totally nothing but insulting and trying to kill him! Goodness heavens! How will he ever survive? :3
Gotta learn to live with the friendly but exasperated sibling tease yo, otherwise you gonna aggro against every annoying tree you run into and BAM! Treant crushes you for waking up and hurting his kids. XD
If she wanted to truly aggo she'd have used the flat side of a sword. :P
Hmm, so that was the moon she'd seen. But the moon was also the domain of Duvelna, goddess of death, so that was equally interesting and strange. Shouldn't the moon be the domain of some sibling of Ramos or something? Unless Duvelna was...mmm, better not to assume that either. Either way it answered her questions nicely, so she gave a quiet nod to Grandpa before turning toward the front doors to exit. At this rate she could try to get a bow and cloak assembled, and of course a couple of really good arrows she could just recreate over and over again to shoot from the bow. Make the proper arrows of good quality though, just to make sure the recreations would hold up under use. She didn't want to have them-
"Lets go, talking and thinking to much wont fill your stomach. Don't think just do"
Jeez. Well, there was one of her loud sisters having a fur and horn slapped into her hands. Now she was being drug off by a grumpy brother out of the blue. Moron of a goblin. It was making an already frustrating start a bit more so, and just as she'd been getting back into a sort of good mood! Letting out a sigh, Kir walked over and promptly bonked Argos on the head lightly with one of her fists. Enough to hit, but not enough to try to deal real damage. Just something to get the dunce to stop for two seconds at least.
"Hey, dumbass, you could just ask one of us you know. Don't just drag people off. If you want help then follow me, I'm headed out to make myself a cloak and weapon anyways."
With a deep sigh, Kir then began to walk out of the doors, glancing back over her shoulder at Argos and Aya before continuing on walking outwards. Was she saving Aya? Not really. She just wanted to avoid another headache-giving situation along the way, and inviting her brother along was probably just going to make things simpler if the rest of the sister group came along. At least as compared to bonking him on the head with a sword, like she'd done to a certain sister earlier.
She'd already eaten her good fill of the other horned rabbits and berries already, so she was ready to go to get a weapon made and go hunting. Would be simple enough as it was. She'd help with the trap as well if the others didn't slow her down though. That meant more food and supplies for making things after all.
Summary: Kir walked over and bonked Argos (@Jangel13) lightly on the head with a first as he tried to drag Aya (@TheMushroomLord) out. She briefly lectured him about grabbing people for a brief second, before inviting Argos to come along with her as she goes out. Kir's intention is to go and make the best bow and the two best arrows she can and the best horned-rabbit-pelt cloak she can. This is so she can made good-enough quality recreations of the arrows to use them effectively, by making the original ones of a high quality, to go hunt a couple of rabbits in the woods with her bow.
If Argos comes along, she'll help him fashion the horn and fur of his dead rabbit into something after making her own stuff and before she goes hunting. If Aya and company come along, she'll help with the trap after finishing making the other things and going on her small hunt for a couple of rabbits.

As for what those shrines are they represent the 3 main Gods of this world Ramos, shirila, and duelvena There are gods for everything from food to hunts even to keeping yourself clean but each of them isn't as powerful as the 3 main gods I am about to tell you about. First, there is the god of light Ramos he is the god of light and he gives us the very sun we see during the day he is purity itself and as such is mostly worshipped by most creatures in one form or another. Ramos is the exact opposite of the goddess known as Duvelna she is the goddess of death and night. She is death itself and must be respected if not feared for with a single touch of her finger you are dragged down into the netherworld. She gives us the very moon in the sky. Finally, there is Shirila the goddess of the earth as she is the embodiment of the earth and life itself, she is also known as the eternal mother. She gives us the very plants that grow everywhere around us and gives life to it. She in tune with everyone that loves the earth as it should be.
@Jangel13 Maybe the other two want to make traps, but all Kir will be doing out there is getting materials and trying to make the best bow and arrows she can. XD
“You...really don’t? And you’re a...huh. Well...that may explain a few things.”
As the human girl talked, Leannah's ears perked up at the information. So a sun goddess who didn't get along with others? That was apparently a thing, one of which she was curious about the root cause of. Back in Ancient Egypt there'd been a number of gods, including one of the Sun and one of Knowledge. So it felt abnormal to her to think they had enmity, though the whole crown-stealing episode Lazhira mentioned did bring a light chuckle out of the catgirl. Deities and their antics were a thing even here, it seemed, when it came to legends. If that was one minute consistency between here and Earth, then it was a lightheartedly entertaining one to ponder for a moment.
But apparently this knowledge and deity were things known best by those of her own race, of which she'd seen none at all and was apparently far away from by a longshot. Likewise this was perhaps a big reason behind her issues with magic use...she was not in-touch with the very deity at the root of the race she'd become a member of. Or something. Could be the Illuminator being an ass as well, she had no clue to be frank. Plus hearing about something called Kyrinth, maybe that beast dead in the village or some other dangerous thing hiding in the woods for all she knew, and something about encouraging the humans of the village to abandon worship of the God of Knowledge? That was something that didn't sound like a good thing.
Yet the catgirl didn't get much time to think on things, before four monstrosities of birds emerged from the fog in turn. The catgirl reacted reflexively, grabbing Lazhira (who was right in front of her) and virtually throwing the girl behind herself as she instead moved toward the threat. She did her best to focus the flow of magical energy into her body, take that mental image of a river she'd used accidentally last night to make a 'boom' to mentally focus and imagine the magical energy flowing through her like blood. Flowing through her muscles, making them mighty. Flowing through her bones, making them stronger. Flowing through her tissues, strengthening them beyond their own with a swell of power and stamina.
Steady breathing. Controlled breathing. Bob to the side of the first bird, and aim to grab its long leg! Then channel the magical energy into her arms even more, and swing it around in a sweeping attack at the other two birds!
Was it a flashy idea? Probably. Was it stupid? Hell yes. But she wouldn't let Lazhira be attacked on her watch! She had to do something, and had acted rather reflexively but brashly in defense of another. Even so the situation didn't look good. Four big birds, probably predatory, as tall as them, and basically not stopping for a moment. It was bad. It was rather bad, even if they weren't a giant magical stone golem thing in a magic prison.
"What do I want? Simple. This world is dead. I want you to rebuild it. The people, humans, demons, and everyone else are scattered. Living in sheltered communities on this dead, frozen world. They have no future, really. Either hunted by the Elder Beasts that roam the wastes, forced to worship them for protection, killing each other for limited resources-"
..Yes, that was also right. She'd almost forgotten about that as well. It had been only just over a day since arriving in a new life, but since then so much had happened it was hard to remember much from that far back easily. Still those words from that mysterious goddess seemed to bubble up as her mind desperately ran over everything she knew to try to help her survive this.
'Oh Goddess Auset-Kythet, oh deity of the Bastelian people and she who lights the world and scorches her foes! I'm talking to you, praying to you, so listen up to this arrogant mortal's first prayer to you! I get you and the God of Knowledge here have some kind of bad blood and history, basically hate each other's guts! Well right now I and my allies are trying to uncover and illuminate the secrets of this temple of his, and whatever the hell is going on, so I pray to you for your support and for strength from this time onward!
Though while I don't truly know for sure what other being drug me and others to this world, though they probably went overboard and overstepped and pissed you off giving me whatever gift I have without your permission. Still, does that mean I cannot align myself to you? That I cannot seek ties with you, that on my path your glory might be magnified along the way to all?
If this world is the scattered, stagnant, frozen, dead world without a future I was told of before arriving here, then I want to change that with my own two hands! I refuse to let my path and those who stand with me be stopped by the likes of monsters and beasts and this crazy fog or other challenges ahead! This is why I pray to you and for your light forever, oh mighty goddess of the radiant sun!
Yet in the end it was a prayer shouted from the depths of a fool's soul, and a desperate plea and cry uttered forth to ensure they all didn't die here. It was a prayer for a 'dead' world, and an offering of herself to Auset-Kythet if she had to go to such lengths. Whatever it took. She would make her path wrought with her own hands, she would become a hero one way or another, but this time she wouldn't just sit idly by and let that path be cut off by some over-glorified ostriches during her first real adventure alongside her allies!
The moon. Trying to not say "the moon" but rather refer to it directly enough to get an answer about the moon and maybe if there's a moon deity or not.
Posted! Should have the summary set up better there at the bottom of the post this time. Got some ongoing things wrapped up, and then asked Goblin Grandpa a couple of questions!
The big, deathly white pale Hobgoblin seemed to take notice of her once more, however, walking over and addressing her specifically.
“Your instincts are sharp, it took the rest of us at least a day to start figuring out how to use all of the parts of these animals. But I will give you two more things. One a warning, with that skill or spell you stand out and will be a target if others know. The second you will get when I return if we are still alive.”
He did have somewhat of a point, as she thought on it. Didn't want to draw any ire, though all the same she was planning to minimize that by making a bow and arrows she could remake over and over to use. Just seemed to her to be the best idea to start with without having to think much about it. All the same it was advice, and these hobs had survived to become hobs themselves. So it was worth taking in, at least, and the promise of a second gift did make her eyes perk up in earnest interest for a moment.
"I'll take the advice. But I'm heading out to get supplies as well, with my sisters here if they want to come along for their own things. So I'll meet you back here later for the second thing, ok?"
Finishing up with her work and the latter of her two conversations, apparently just in time, the recreated rusty sword dissipated into nonexistence once more from the young goblin's hand. Kir wiped her forehead with a shoulder, before taking her bloodied hands and grabbing up a couple more portions of the unclaimed food and eating them with their servings of berries. If the goofs wouldn't come eat their shares, then the shares would get eaten or get rotten on the floor. She'd left only a couple of them on the floor, but whether the others are them or not wasn't her concern anymore. Either way, her work was done.
Still, she looked over and checked that her component parts were there. Pelts? Check. Sinews? Check. Couple of rabbit skulls with horns still attached? Check. Stomach? Properly filled for the time being at least.
Kir then looked down and over her hands and arms, bloodied and stained up to the elbows in crimson red. It was...something. Probably needed to go rinse it off or wipe it off or something. Or maybe lick it all off? What got stuck to her elbows was probably ok enough to eat. Hmm. That would be perhaps the best idea before she did any real hunting anyways.
Though before she left...yes, that would be something to do at least. Get an answer for a couple of questions on the way out. To that end, the female goblin gathered up her materials, draping them over her shoulders and holding the skulls on two of her fingers by way of their now-empty eye sockets. To her old self, this would be rather different, but at the same time she wasn't whoever that person was. Kir was herself, after all. But those hazy things from 'her' of before were being useful so far in giving her ideas and such, as far as they went in that regard anywho.
Still, it was like instinctually her ideas began to 'click' more. Among other ones that now popped into her head. Like she could just get them off the top of her head, or just kinda felt they were there like how she just knew how to recreate that sword before. Even so, it made more sense and enough so that she could go get to work better than before.
"If any of you want to go out to get stuff to make traps or things like that, though, I'm basically ready. I'm going to find the best sticks I can for making a bow and some arrows and a cloak, stuff like that, see if I can get something that works going. Just want to talk to Granpda really quick."
Kir simply wanted to get going as well, but she wasn't going to be rude about this. More that the rabbit carving up and harvesting was enough of an activity to vent her frustration to some extent. Still, she wasn't totally calm either. There were things to get done, stuff she wanted to make. All of that good stuff. All she needed was a good bow, and then to make the best single arrow she could. From there it would be all rather useable in theory.
Walking over, Kir approached Grandpa and looked up at him with a determined expression.
"If you've got a moment, Grandpa, I'm curious about something," she said, rubbing her chin with one blood-red hand as she spoke, a glint of curiosity flashing over her eyes as she distinctly gestured to the shrines around the chapel, "Who are these, ah, things around here for?"
What was the word? Blast. The old life bits were too hazy, but something was every so vaguely familiar as to say a 'who' rather than a 'what' in her question. Yet as she spoke, her mind returned to the prior night, the near-escape that Grandpa had drug her back from. The one thing she could recall most about then was a faint light under the doors in in through the cracks. Soft, like the outside of these pelts, but different somehow. Like a pale white and silver-ish light in color.
"And can you tell me anything about whatever made that pale white light that came in here from the outside last night? It's not like during the day. Softer, somehow, prettier...but I kinda like it. So I guess I wanted to know more about that as well. Like, what made that light and what it's like."
Once she got her answer proper from Grandpa, or at least whatever answers she could get that is, she'd wait for her sisters before setting out.
Summary: Kir responded to Gird (@ReusableSword) before he walked away from her and left, finished her work with the horned rabbits, ate more of the food portions left out (only two food portions are left on the floor now), gathered up her harvested supplies (now listed in her Inventory in the hider at the bottom of this post), talked to her sisters that had assembled around her (@TheMushroomLord,@Rune_Alchemist,@SilverPaw), and then went to ask Goblin Grandpa (@Jangel13) a couple of questions before she waits or goes to head outside with her sisters (if any are coming).
