The Character
Tainith • 10 of Spades • The Judging Scholars"Tell me something I don’t know….Please."
18 • Female
Appearance: Tainith could never be described as beautiful. At least by those who only see a shallowness to the word and by that the majority of her suit would see it that way. Make up is not something she dons, as her battlepaint is her resistant lab coat. It is a common sight to see her dirty and contaminated with little to no care for her general appearance. Her eyes would be her most dominant feature, slightly burnt out from an accident with a vigorous chemical reaction.
Personality:Distant. Around the majority of people she cannot seem to focus deeply on the content of their words. A lifetime growing up around her family has caused her to doubt the very validity of existence. The layman would call her frigid, though those familiar with her family would call her candid. To Tainith it is better to make only valid observations and to never assume anything. It could easily be said of Tainith that she has already succumbed to the madness that besets her class. Logic. That being said she isn’t cruel, though is indifferent to cruelty. A dissection requires a specimen ,after all, all she does is ensure that the death is swift and painless.
Biography: The hand that life had handed Tainith was not too dissimilar to others of her suit. Privileged. As the lowest of the spades the family had the least freedom. To high on the ladder to be human and make social mistakes but also to low to have any real power. That allowed the mind to wander and in time it allowed The Judging Scholars to be known. Tainith was considered a prodigy. Her memory being near flawless allowed her to soak in information like nearly nothing else. Though soon it began to feel more like a curse than a blessing as she began to notice the intentions of the people around her. First her uncle, seemingly lovely, though actually selling her research to weapons manufacturers. Then her cousin, using her research into poisons to sell the best to those who could pay. Soon her parents began to notice she wasn’t writing down her studies anymore. Soon they began to realise that she was actively avoiding them. It wasn’t long before she was no longer welcome in the home. The Judging Scholars….What a joke, they couldn’t understand the value of knowledge. That's why they’ll never risk anything for it. Thats why she made her way to the spire. The library has untold knowlege of everything.
