Zac normally wasn't one for such formal affairs. If he could avoid it, there was no way he'd wear a tuxedo. However, after seeing that invitation, he had decided, 'Hey, this could be fun. Not like there was anything going on tonight, anyway.' And, if he had to be honest, he was having a pretty good time. After all, he did enjoy times where a bunch of people were gathering, whether it be at a ball or a party like the ones his old friends were famous for.
Being the friendly guy he is, it didn't take him long to easily strike up a few conversations with some of the other party-goers. As he chatted with a few, he couldn't help but find himself glancing out toward the dance floor, to the young woman in the black mask. There was something about the way she moved that seemed familiar to him. After thinking for a few moments, it dawns on him who she was.
After she and her dance partner parted ways, Zac watches the woman walk off before turning to the pair he was speaking with, having turned to watch the woman while the two he was chatting with spoke among themselves. He apologizes and wishes them a good night before turning around and disappearing into the crowd.
He wanders for a bit, occasionally stopping to talk with a person here and there. He made the mistake of asking if they saw a woman in a black mask, to which the person he had asked gave him a strange look before telling him to be more specific. After a few minutes, however, he finally finds her. Walking up to her from behind, he gently taps her shoulder and says with a smile, "After seeing you dance at the club, I didn't expect to see you waltzing, Sabine."
