In an otherwise inaccessible cave system in the outskirts of Angel Grove, two figures sat alone. One appeared to be a woman in yellow armor, her sleek headdress baring a vague resemblance to a scorpion's stinger. Nearby her was a staff leaning against the cave wall, bearing a crescent moon with a red jewel fixed between the tips on the head of it. She was looking a little dissatisfied, particularly when glancing over at the other figure in the room. The other guy was a black humanoid covered in a white armor-like exoskeleton with yellow tendrils acting as sort of like makeshift scarves. He also wore a white headdress that vaguely resembled a wide-brimmed hat. He was much more relaxed than the woman, sitting on the ground and leaned back against the cave all - his hat-like headdress appearing to be pulled down over his eyes like some kind of monstrous gunslinger taking a nap.

"Bah, not good!" grunted the woman. She seemed to be monitoring the actions of her little clay footsoldiers and didn't look particularly satisfied with their performance, "The Staff alone won't cut it. I'd need Finster's workshop to make them full powered." she clenched her hand into a fist and slammed it into a nearby stalagmite.

"Except that place was picked apart and dismantled along with the rest of Rita and Zedd's palace, aye?" asked the male figure, offering a brief glance up from his relaxed posture, "Bad luck for you, Scorpina."

"Don't... patronize me, Zjango!" Scorpina hissed back him, "I don't see you doing anything to make the situation any better! How about you get off your arse and-" a sudden ice blast hitting the wall inches away cut her off. Her associate, Zjango, had shot up to his feet and fired one of his blasters in what had to be the fastest lightning draw Scorpina had ever seen. Luckily for her that had only been a warning shot.

"In case you forgot, Lady Scorpina, I did my job!" he took a slow step toward his employer - his weapon now trained on her, "If your little minions can't do theirs, then I fail to see how that is my problem."

Scorpina - despite the warning shot and staring down the barrel of his weapon - wasn't intimidated, "Don't forget who is paying you, mercenary. If my mission is unsuccessful, then you don't get your payment." she waited for him to slowly lower his weapon before she spoke again, "You still have most of your contacts and connections... don't you?"

"...I do."

"Then I need you to use your network to send out a message... to the Empire." she identified the recipient with noticeable hesitation, as if she hated having to do this.

"The Empire? That Royal House of Rust-Buckets? Very well... but you do realize I'll be adding this to my fee?"

"That's fine. Just make sure that King Sprocket knows that Scorpina has a proposal for him. Tell him it involves Earth and the Power Rangers, that should be enticing enough to get his attention."

Midgar: Suoh - Anistar Gym, Part 3

Word Count: 2810
Level 4 Roxas: 22/40
Exp: 3
NEW EXP Balance--- 25/40

Roxas had been keeping quiet for basically everything. What they were told out in that alleyway bugged him, especially when thinking back to what that Coach guy said earlier. “Duds”. That was the word he used. All these psychics apparently believed that anyone without mind powers were… well, lesser somehow. And all around, the very structure of Suoh seemed to reinforce this idea. Lots of signs and things that “duds” like him couldn’t even read. But he’d bitten his tongue for the sake of helping his friend, Raz.

Once everyone was in the gym, Roxas continued to keep his thoughts to himself. He watched as Goldlewis and Midna left to go elsewhere. And he also watched Sakura challenge the OSF guy to a sparring match. Everything seemed to be… normal, for the most part. Maybe this feeling Roxas had was just in his head after all? But then he saw how Sakura’s match eventually ended. The OSF member ended up pulling out all the stops with his SAS connection and Sakura eventually freaked out and ran out of the gym.

Roxas looked back and considered going after Sakura for a moment. But then, without really considering his actions, Roxas clenched his hands into fists and glared back in the direction of the OSF people. That was it, he’d had it up to here with all this psychic stuff. Roxas pushed his way forward and eventually found himself confronting them with an angry look on his face.

”What did you do to my friend?” he demanded, his tone even but definitely not happy, ”And yeah, I know. You’re Psych-OSF and we’re just a couple of worthless duds, right? Well I don’t care! You’re all a bunch of big-headed jerks from where I’m standing!”

The onlookers had drifted away from the fight’s conclusion, chattering all about how it went. Gemma’s strength, martial skill, and mindful usage of SAS were as commendable as ever, but more of the watchers seemed riveted by Sakura’s surprising tenacity. She’d managed to take on incredible odds and force Gemma to push himself, all with an upbeat attitude, right up until the end. Her opponent, weary and sore from their match, had seated himself on the ground against a nearby wall with his water bottle, defending himself not with his fists but with faltering words against the accusations of his squadmate Hanabi. She insisted that he fought too hard, and should have known better than to take Sakura’s blank check at face value. Given how things turned out, he was hard-pressed to disagree, too.

Hanabi mellowed out after Gemma resolved to find Sakura and apologize, but their exchange came to an abrupt end when Roxas showed up. Neither knew this kid, but he was clearly pissed, even if he kept himself from going all-out furious. Hanabi didn’t know how to handle it. “H-hey, wait a sec, just settle down…”

Gemma frowned. So this boy was a dud? Despite his many years of service, Gemma practically never met duds. Such people were rare around here, since any who cropped up tended to move to less psychic sectors in Midgar, but those without the means to do so tended to not make big deals of themselves, even if that meant stoking the flames of resentment in silence. After all, in Sector 5 mental ineptitude was practically a disability. Maybe he was from out of town? The soldier exhaled, his eyes closed as he mulled over Roxas’ outcry. It didn’t matter where he came from, or that he didn’t have any experience with scenarios like this. As a senior Psych-OSF soldier, it fell to him to defuse this situation.

“Maybe we are,” he said flatly, opening his eyes. “In our organization, power is everything. We have to be strong enough to fight, and if need be die, for the people of Midgar. For those we care about. And in pursuit of strength, maybe we’ve lost sight of something important.” He shrugged and put his water bottle down. “I can tell you this though, son. If you’re saying that young lady I fought was a dud, then I have nothing but the deepest and utmost respect for her. I only fought her because she asked me to, in order to honor her request as a fellow martial artist. What happened at the end I can’t explain. Some sort of post-traumatic stress disorder, maybe. Either way, she gave an incredible account of herself, not as a dud, but as a warrior. That’s all I can really say.”

The blonde twins nearby nodded vigorous, prompting Hanabi to step forward with renewed determination. “Yeah, she was amazing! It’s true psychic power is vital to the OSF, but there are lots of different people in Midgar with different talents of their own.” With a bright smile she tried to wipe away the anger and doubt that plagued Roxas. “I’m sure it’s just the same for you! Nobody’s worthless.”

"...Then why do you call us 'duds'?" Roxas asked flatly, "Why are we not allowed to fight even if we're clearly capable?" in all honesty his frustration stemmed from the stirring of bad memories, but Roxas continued, "You might be able to make yourselves stronger with your SAS link, but people don't need psychic connections to give each other strength. I've seen it for myself plenty of times."

He then pointed his right index finger to his temple, "Is what's up here really all that matters? Because in my experience…" he then lowered his hand and pressed it against his chest, "...it's the strength that comes from here that matters most. And you don't need to be psychic for that."

Where was he even going with this? These people weren't even the real causes of his anger. It was starting to feel like he was just lashing out for the sake of it. He took a deep breath and finally started to calm himself, "If you actually gave us a chance to, then my friends could prove once and for all that 'duds' aren't helpless and could even help you more than you think. But I'm guessing most of your Captains and higher ups are too prideful to consider that, aren't they?"

Having now said his piece for the time being, the Keyblade Wielder decided it was best to disengage, "I'd better go after Sakura and make sure she's okay. Sorry if I caused a scene." and then he took off running to find Sakura.

The OSF soldiers watched him go, sour looks upon their faces. Whoever that guy was, his bitterness clearly went deep, deep enough to take two random people and mark them as responsible for all of society’s ills, perceived or otherwise. Hanabi’s expression in particular portrayed an acute sadness that her attempts to reassure him fell upon deaf ears. Gemma, meanwhile, massaged his temples with the palms of his hands. “Hmm,” he grunted. “I hope he doesn’t run off and get killed by Others trying to prove himself.”

“Yeah,” Hanabi agreed, her voice a soft murmur. She tried to think of something else to say, something that could neatly encapsulate the situation so she could push it off to the side, but nothing came to mind.

It would most likely be easier to find Karin than it would to find Sakura. Sakura hadn’t gone far, just outside the gym and around the corner of the building, where she had curled up into a sad little ball. Karin had watched the bout from a distance and casually Sakura. Karin stood in plain view next to Sakura’s ‘hiding spot.’

Sure enough, Roxas spotted Karin first. But he knew the two were usually hanging out together so he went toward her thinking she might have an idea where Sakura went.

”Well.” Karin began. That was embarrassing.”

”I know!” Sakura said, clasping the sides of her head.

”You really lost your cool there.” Karin continued. Sakura didn’t say anything.

”...Quite unbecoming.” Karin added, trying to figure out how to word this.

”Ugh!” Sakura tried to curl up more. ”Darn it!”

”Whoa, hey, don’t you think that’s kinda harsh?” Roxas asked Karin, now close enough to see where Sakura was sitting. Rather than stand over Sakura, he instead moved around and sat down on the ground next to her, ”You okay? Looked like you had it pretty rough toward the end there. I dunno if it’s any consolation, but that Gemma guy seemed pretty sorry. He also said he respected the strength you showed there.”

Sakura looked up at Roxas. They hadn’t talked much, but, if he was one of the Seekers, she felt like she could trust him. ”Of course he’s sorry.” Sakura said, glum. ”He thinks he beat up some stupid girl. I don’t know if I’ll ever get a real rematch out of him now!” She covered her face with her hands again.

”I totally freaked out! That’s never happened to me before, Roxas-san, I swear! I don’t care about getting hurt!” She explained, desperately. ”Do you know how hard it is to get people to take me seriously?! I can never show my face in that gym again!”

”He doesn’t think you’re stupid.” Roxas responded, ”He has the utmost respect for you. Told me so himself.” Roxas wisely decided not to elaborate about why he spoke to him, since it was irrelevant to this situation anyway. But so far his attempts to cheer Sakura weren’t working as well as he’d hoped. He sort of wished Aqua or Riku were here, since they’d probably have a better idea of what to say.

”So maybe you just had an off-day?” he offered, ”Everyone has those. But… why do you say it’s hard to get people to take you seriously, Sakura? I’ve seen you fight a few times now, and you’re good. Like, really good. And you don’t even need to use weapons or magic like, say, I do. That’s pretty awesome if you ask me.”

Sakura sighed, and managed a smile. ”Thanks, Roxas-san. But…well…it’s just-” She wasn’t sure how to explain this.

”It’s just that Sakura-chan’s pride as a fighter is on the line!” Karin declared. ”To earn the pity of one’s opponent is far worse than earning their disdain.” She said.

”Didn’t look like pity to me.” Roxas retorted, ”His exact words were something along the lines of having nothing but the deepest and utmost respect for you, and that you gave an incredible account of yourself as a warrior. Now,” he paused and shot an incredulous look at Karin, ”Does that sound like ‘pity’ to either of you?”

”Yeah.” Sakura said under her breath.

And then he added something else, aimed at Karin in particular, ”How come you’re being so harsh? Isn’t Sakura your friend?”

”She is my rival, first. And her feelings need not be coddled.” Karin said, undeterred.

”Well with friends like you-”

”I’m sorry, Roxas-san. She’s right- I embarrassed myself out there. The crowd should be cheering at the end of a fight! They all felt bad for me. I mean- don’t you feel bad for me? That’s why you came after me, right?” Sakura asked, smiling sadly.

”I came after you because you’re my friend. Simple as that.”

”I know it might seem strange to you. Sorry. It wasn’t just an off-day. Something’s wrong with me- I’m…I’m sick in the head, or something, and I need to fix it. I just don’t know how.” Sakura said, smacking her noggin in the way she was prone to do.

”Hey, come on, don’t beat yourself up. That’s not gonna help anyone. Least of all yourself.” Ugh, he was floundering here. There had to be something he could say, ”May your Heart be your guiding key.” he finally told her, deciding he needed to say something straight from the heart.

“It’s something my friends and I learned in my world. Your Heart knows what’s best for you, Sakura. All you have to do is listen to it.”

”Ugh.” Karin rolled her eyes.

”Shh! Be nice.” Sakura chastised her friend. ”And don’t worry, Roxas-san-” She slapped the sides of her head again.

”-I do that all the time. I think it helps me focus. Or maybe it’s just a bad habit. I’m not beating myself up or anything.” Sakura said. ”As for listening to my heart…” She tapped her chin. ”Hmm.” She went quiet, staring up at the sky, concentrating.

That’s when a small cough came from the side. There was Raz, standing a step behind Roxas, from where he gave a little wave. ”Uhh, hey there. Sorry, I got caught up in the crowd, then I didn’t want to interrupt… anyways.” He took a few steps closer to Sakura and looked at her gently. ”If you’re having trouble figuring out what’s keeping you down, I can always take a look inside there for you.” He pulled out his trusty Psycho-Portal and held it up to show. ”See if I can’t help smooth over that mental block y’got?”

Sakura blinked out of her heart-listening reverie. She returned Raz’s wave, but ended up staring at the little door Raz was holding, and the suggestion he made. Karin peered over Raz’s shoulder, curious.

”A… door?” Roxas stared at the device with a confused look.

Sakura got onto her knees, excited. ”I- I mean, if you could help me, that would be- great! It really isn’t normal. I had this…bad experience back on this scary ship called the Maw. And it’s been haunting me ever since! I wanna say every time I feel like I’m stuck, I freak out, but…” She shrugged, animated and unsure.

”But, do you mean like, look inside my head? My brain? Like some kind of surgery?” Sakura said, a little unsure about that.

”Ehhh… not really.” Raz gave the portal a small shake for emphasis. ”This - the Psycho-Portal - lets us psychics project into people’s brains. And when inside we can help with whatever mental trouble they have. It’s a staple of the Psychonauts, and… Psych-OSF might do it too? I haven’t really tried it since I met up with the others, and it didn’t even work before I got freed from Galeem, but if you’re okay with me poking around your thoughts and memories and emotions, I’d be happy to help!”

Sakura looked at Raz, then at Roxas, and then at Karin. Then, back at Raz. ”This is…really important to me. If this keeps happening, I won’t be able to street fight anymore. It might even get in the way of our fight against Galeem.” She was quiet for a moment, thinking about it.

”And you do this for a job, Raz-kun? For lots of people?” She asked.

Raz nodded enthusiastically. ”Certified mental explorer right here! You’ll be in capable hands! Not to toot my own horn or anything.”

”Go ahead!” Sakura said with a laugh. ”I’d rather have someone be confident, right? That’s reassuring to hear.” Sakura scratched her head.

”Alright, Raz-kun.” She nodded, her mind made up. ”Please, help me out.” On her knees already, she briefly bowed her head.

With a final, affirmative nod, Raz placed the portal on the top of Sakura’s bowed head. It instantly popped open, revealing a swirling orange-ish vortex. He then paused, looking over to Karin and Roxas with a nervous smirk. ”If anything, uhhh, happens out here while I’m busy, there’s a thing of smelling salts in the second right pocket of my jacket. Y’know, for emergencies.” He reached up for his goggles, pulling them down over his eyes, as a ghostly image of the boy formed, flowing from himself into the portal, after which, it snapped shut.

It was go time.

NEW EXP Balance--- Level 3: 1/30

When the fighting started, Ganondorf remained strangely inactive. Instead of immediately going on the attack, he just watched and waited. With this many Seekers taking part this time, he decided to observe the big boss's movements and attacks. He figured the extra allies fighting would buy him a moment or two to do this. It wasn't without its costs, though. The large creature was evidently able to stomp more quickly than it looked. Both the attacks were painful to be sure, and when the dust cleared the Gerudo could be seen laying flat on his back. But no matter how much pain he felt, he didn't so much as wince. He scowled and grit his teeth, but nothing beyond that.

"Time to get... serious." the man muttered. Still laying down, he held up his right hand and suddenly the Triforce began to shine brighter than ever. And then he pushed himself to his feet, breathing through gritted teeth and practically ignoring the pain of his broken ribs. But as he returned to his feet, Ganondorf began to slowly grow noticeably larger. In moments he was nearly twice as tall as Bowser, and just as much more muscular as well. His normally dark tan skin had become a dark shade of bluish green and covered by a mix of same-colored fur and scales. His human face had warped into that of a boar mixed with a reptile and bearing golden ram-like horns. His crimson hair had extended into a long feathery headdress. And Ganondorf's clothing could still be seen adorned by this new creature, albeit looking like it was too small of a fit. And the pair of weapons in Ganondorf's collection had also changed shape, and were now much larger and heavier looking than previously. He had been transformed into a frightening beast known only as Ganon.

Ganon said nothing, made no indication that he was even still the same being other than the Triforce still glowing on his right hand. It gave a low, rumbling war cry before stomping forward with an enraged charge. He swung his massive blades sluggishly but also wildly, and with no regard for either friend or foe that happened to be caught by them. Instead Ganon's hate-filled eyes were locked onto one target and one target only: the very creature that had previously crushed him while he had been in his weaker form.

Ganon's attacks, though wild in nature, were largely focused on Mom. If any lesser enemies happened to be cleaved by his swords because they got too close, then all the better. But the main target of Ganon's ire was Mom. And it was Mom at whom all of his sword swings were squarely aimed. He didn't completely ignore the smaller enemies. If a large enough number of them tried to swarm him, Ganon would simply spin around and unleash a powerful dark energy beam from his mouth in a circular sweep to keep them at bay, only to then return his focus to attacking Mom. And should Mom float above and stomp back down elsewhere in the room, Ganon simply turned and charged forward until once again he could unleash his hatred upon the boss monster.

This was the pattern that Ganon repeated until either the battle ended, or the transformation wore off - whichever came first. Regardless, by the time the transformation did inevitably wear off, Ganondorf himself would be rendered exhausted - still wounded from broken ribs and other previously inflicted injuries. It had been quite a while since the last time his true form had been unleashed, and he'd almost forgotten how taxing it could be to truly go all out like that. But it wouldn't stay that way. The King of Evil was determined to restore his full power to its original glory. This, as far as he was concerned, was merely a glimpse of his true might.

"Geez, there's so many of them." Roxas said to himself after defeating one more Vase Paw. Now he was at 3, but they seemed to be raining down endlessly. Definitely not something one person could do alone, even with the Keyblade. But that was when it became clear that there was more trouble than just the Others attacking. Other forms of incidents were happening as an indirect result of the Others as well. And Roxas could spot one a little ways away. He saw a car swerve to avoid crashing into an Other that landed in its path, but in the process crashed into a street light instead.

"Uh oh, that can't be good!" Roxas sprang into a sprint and made his way over as quickly as possible. As he got closer he realized there were three people in the car in total. The driver - a man, and what appeared to be a wife and daughter. The wife and daughter were able to scramble out of the car but it looked like they were struggling to pull the dazed man out. This wasn't helped by the fact that smoke started billowing from the car's hood, indicating a possible fire. And then the fire itself began to sprout up from beneath the hood. Not good!

The mother had to drag the child away once she noticed the fire. The child was still trying to wrestle free to get the father out, apparently not understanding that a car on fire was very dangerous. But this was about when Roxas finally got there, "Waterga!" he shouted as he literally leaped over their heads. The spell was aimed at the hood of the car and the water it produced managed to seep in and douse the fire. Roxas then realized that the collision had somehow disabled the car's electronic locks and kept the driver side door from opening. That gave him an idea. Roxas held one of his Keyblade out and whacked the car door with it. Sure enough, the Keyblade's magic undid the locks and the door was finally able to open.

"Oh thank you! Thank you!" shouted the woman as she now rushed forward and worked with Roxas to pull the dazed driver out. Now he was finally coming to and the family continue their evacuation.

But before they left, the child smiled up at Roxas, "You've got powers! Are you with the OSF?"

"No, sorry. I'm not a psychic." he responded.

"Well whoever you are, you just saved me and family." said the man, "I'm in your debt."

Roxas just shook his head, "Nah, no you aren't. I just happened to spot the accident, that's all."

The family was on their after giving their thanks. Roxas then looked around for Raz and Lili. He ran over to them when he finally spotted them, "Hey Raz, things don't look too good. Maybe we should see if we can find Mr. Dickinson or the Princess?" he suggested. It was probably a good idea for the Seekers to regroup right about now. And most likely Lili was wanting to regroup with her unit in the OSF. So eventually, the two boys would be running back toward where they had split off from the other Seekers. Perhaps Lili would be coming with them, or perhaps not. Either way, now was a time for regrouping not getting oneself lost out in the huge city.

After they'd made it back outside, loud alarms started sounding off that seemed like they could be heard all over the sector, "Jeez, what is that alarm for!" Roxas asked, having to shout to make sure he could be heard. But he didn't need to wait for Lili to get his answer. A simple look upward told him all he needed to know. He saw specks way up high that appeared to gradually getting bigger. Except they weren't getting bigger, they were getting closer, because whatever they were they were falling down onto Suoh. And when a they finally started hitting the ground, Roxas could only tilt his head in bewilderment, "What... are they?" he asked, staring at two of them that had landed nearby. Bizarre creatures that resembled bouquets of roses but with human legs wearing high heel shoes. Just when he thought things couldn't get any stranger.

But whatever they were, they weren't friendly. People were fleeing and evacuating the streets. So obviously these things were a threat, "Well I'm not just gonna stand by. So here goes!" he summoned his two Keyblades and went charging out, not even waiting for Raz or Lili. The two Others were currently dashing up the shrine steps, which Roxas noticed had hand rails on each side. That gave him an idea.

"Think fast!" he shouted as he jumped up and proceeded to slide down by grinding the rail on his right hand side. He slid right past one of the Others, managing to clothes-line it with his Keyblade and send it tumbling back down the stairs. And then Roxas flipped his way over to the opposite rail so that he could do the same thing to the other, well, Other. Similarly he managed to knock it down the stairs where it's friend was now standing back up. Roxas of course kept on sliding down and used the built up momentum to leap clear over the Vase Paws. Once passed them he twisted around and aimed his Keyblades in their direction and fired off two orbs: one of Light and one of Darkness that swirled around each other until they eventually collided with one of the Others and exploded on it, dealing it heavy Light and Dark damage in the process.

Roxas landed on the ground and spotted something strange. The one he had hit with Dual Shot had stopped moving and a bulb thing had popped out of its body. Before he could begin to process this, however, the second Vase Paws was running at him and poised to hit him with a strong kick. Thankfully the kick itself was fairly choreographed and allowed Roxas enough time to cross his blades in front of him to block the incoming kick. With quick timing he was able to push his weapons forward the moment the foot made contact in order to push back the Vase Paws and briefly throw it off balance. From there Roxas lunged forward and performed a circular slash with his weapons while the blades were coated with searing Light.

He similarly saw the Vase Paw stop moving a produce a bulb thing from its body. But like before, Roxas wasn't given enough time to act on it. The previous Vase Paws had now recovered from being stunned and surprised Roxas with a kick in his back that sent him tumbling forward. But Roxas was spry enough to let himself fall into a somersault back onto his feet and he spun around to face his enemy. It was running at him, and so Roxas did the same. The Vase Paw went for another kick but it was met by a parry from one of Roxas' Keyblade. He then got off a short combo that the creature managed to jump back and away from. But Roxas wasn't about to let this thing escape. He shot forward, taking the form of a ray of light that whirled around and homed in on the Vase Paw. When it got close, Roxas returned to normal and unleashed a big Cross Slash in the shape of an X, while both blades were coated with Light.

That sent the Vase Paw reeling and once again revealed the bulb thing. This time Roxas was quick enough to stab it with his Keyblade and destroy it, which appeared to do the same to the Vase Paw as a whole. Like a moment ago, the other Vase Paw attempted to kick Roxas from behind. But the Keyblade Wielder had learned his lesson, and whirled around and parried the kick with his blades before again striking at the Vase Paws with the Dual Counter circular slash. This allowed him to lunge past the Vase Paw and then whirl around and get off a quick five strike combo before blasting it with a Firaga spell. That knocked the thing back down and gave Roxas the opening he needed to stab the bulb that appeared and similarly kill the creature.

"Two down!" Roxas said in celebration before he looked around and remembered the sheer number of Others that were falling down in other places throughout the Sector, "...And a whole lot more to go." he said with slumped shoulders. This was going to be a long afternoon.

"Huh?" Roxas nearly fell over, taken aback by having been followed out here. Even more so that Bede had apparently overheard what he was saying, "Oh, uh, well... I wouldn't say I'm bored exactly." he told the Pokemon Trainer with a shrug, then added, "Mostly just... overwhelmed. In my experience 'saving the world' is the easy part. You just have to defeat the bad guy. But all this politics stuff just flies right over my head, it's not in my wheelhouse at all."

And it was after this that Raz came out and joined them. The first things he'd really hit the nail on the head. Was it really that obvious that Roxas was getting overwhelmed by all this? It must have been, since not one but two of the other Seekers had now noticed it. But Roxas was surprised to learn that Raz had only joined the Seekers a day ago. A whole lot must have happened during that one day, Roxas figured. He started telling a story about climbing a mountain and nearly dying at one point. During this, Roxas looked to Bede and Raz on both his sides and was suddenly reminded of all those days he spent on that Clock Tower with Axel and Xion. They'd both be on either side of him, laughing about something or teasing one another while eating ice cream bars.

But he snapped back to reality after that fleeting moment, "I know... you're right." he said to Raz. Just because Roxas was second guessing his abilities didn't mean the others around felt that way, as Raz was clearly proving. But still, that part about the Organization gave him pause, "Look, I don't know what the Organization is trying to accomplish by helping you out, but I'm willing to bet it's not good. It never is with them." he looked down toward the ground far below them and then continued, "It's just... I've been there, I know how they operate. They'll tell you what you want to hear so that you'll go along with whatever it is they're planning. They did that with me and my friends for nearly a year before we started to figure out the truth, and they..." his voice trailed off and he looked away from them. He looked like this conversation was about to drudge some painful memories.

But Raz didn't stay on this topic for much longer. He instead brought up the plan for the Seekers to split up and go to too different Sectors in order to cover more ground. And he made it clear he wanted Roxas to go with him to see the Psych-OSF, It didn't take a genius or a mind reader to figure out why. Some of the people there were people Raz had known. Probably some of the friends he had once mentioned he was looking for. Well Roxas couldn't blame him, he'd be anxious to go there too if he'd found out that any of his friends were there, "Yeah, you don't have to say anymore. I've got your back. Promise."

He looked down at the black coat that had been draped over his lap. It still wasn't repaired yet, and at this point Roxas was beginning to wonder if he even should bother fixing it. He began asking himself if he really, truly, still needed to keep using it. After all, it was connected to some of the worst times he'd ever lived through. And yet... it was simultaneously connected to some of his fondest memories as well. Perhaps he'd better just think on it for a little longer.

The ride over to Sector 3 was mostly uneventful. Mr. Goldlewis explained a few of the sights along the way but other than that there wasn't much else to the trip. Through most of it, Roxas just looked over the gridLink thing he now wore on his wrist. It identified him as some kind of exchange student visiting from that Bullworth place all the way back in Gutsford. Once they were far enough into Sector 3, Roxas couldn't help but notice Raz acting a little strange. Goldlewis had told them something about this place being sensory overload for psychics, er, not that Roxas could tell obviously. But Raz certainly looked like he could tell, and it didn't look very pleasant.

Eventually they came to a stop, and then Roxas watched Raz wander off toward the steps leading to that shrine thing. Well, since Raz was the one who would have a better idea of what to do around the psychics, Roxas decided he should probably follow after him. Raz wasn't exactly hiding his excitement, not that Roxas could blame him. He'd probably be doing the same thing in his position. But in any case, he kept up with his Psychonaut friend and even reacted quick enough to help him back on his feet after Raz tripped on the last step.

After that was clearly a reunion. The girl he ran up was clearly someone the Psychonaut knew. For the moment, he hung back a bit and gave Raz his space. Instead he looked around at a couple of the others that were around here. Were... they all psychic? Just to be safe Roxas decided to keep his thoughts as quiet as possible. It'd be a real bonehead move to immediately blow their cover because Roxas's thoughts were too loud.

"Um.. Hi." he finally said to some other kids that were around, "Do, uh, you guys live here? I'm visiting from Sector 7." he was glad he remembered the Sector 7 story that Goldlewis had instructed them to use when introducing themselves.
