Sorry about the wait for the OOC and Discord server, guys!! I've just been having a rough and busy set of weeks. Is it okay if I just make the Discord server first, and then do the OOC when I can? Again, I am super sorry, and I'll probably make the OOC tomorrow/next Thursday, hopefully.

Not So Heartless After All

Homeworld: Twilight Town

Weapon: Wooden Sword - A toy weapon left behind by a kid in the woods Echo called home.

Powers/Abilities: Hide In Shadows - Being a Shadow, Echo is able to hide his form in darkness. While not in complete darkness, he appears as a black form, flat on the ground. This allows him to slip in under doors and obstacles, and get the jump on his opponents. He is completely immune to attacks in this state, but he cannot do anything until reemerging from this state.

Seek Hearts - While he has no intention of harming a human, Echo, like any other heartless, can absorb hearts. However, instead of creating more heartless, Echo instead is empowered by this absorption, boosting his power and, in time, could evolve him into a more powerful form.

Backstory: Echo was a lone Shadow, living in the woods outside Twilight Town, keeping hidden so as not to be hunted and destroyed. Being a heartless, he kept to himself, staying far away from any of the townspeople. This, however, changed one fateful day when a group of four kids came into the woods. They were playing hide and seek, and three kids split up, leaving one to count. Echo didn’t much understand it, but stayed hidden, watching them play.

Eventually, the kid that was seeking seemed to look in Echo’s direction. Echo thought he was well hidden, how could a human see him? The boy approached Echo’s hiding spot, “I know you’re there.” The boy said. Echo slowly, hesitantly, emerged and, to his surprise, the boy didn’t run away in fear. He could sense something within the boy’s heart, something comforting. This encounter sparked a friendship not known to anyone, between a heartless and a boy.

The boy’s name was Lock, and over the coming days, the two became friends. This friendship went on for years, and one day, Lock presented Echo with two gifts. His harmonica, which Echo would hum along to when he played it, and the blue scarf around his neck, which Lock said would serve as a symbol of their bond. Echo was curious with how sudden these gifts were, especially the harmonica as it was very close to Lock.

On the following day, Echo felt as if something was off, like the world had changed somewhat. This had happened before, but he didn’t think much about it, except, Lock didn’t show up like he usually does. Venturing out of the woods, Echo stayed hidden and wandered around, searching for his friend. He eventually found the group of kids that played in the woods, but Lock wasn’t with them, and the group acted as if he didn’t exist. A time loop had occurred, and something happened to Lock as a result.

Echo sensed something special in Lock, something the other kids didn’t have. Maybe Lock left Twilight Town. Maybe he escaped the time loop. Echo didn’t know, and he wouldn’t find out if he stayed put. He now travels around, searching for any sign of the one true friend he ever had.

Other: Echo got his name from Lock as he always hummed along to Lock’s harmonica.

@Dragonfly 9 I had a question revolving around a heartless character. Say I start as a Shadow. What constitutes as a weapon for me since the best they got is claws? Also, as the story progresses would I be able to grow into a more powerful form, like a Neoshadow?

1. You can also use whatever's lying around, or short/blunt weapons, like a baseball bat or dagger!

So I've got a running idea for a character that's aligned with the Org. She was previously a knight that served as a castle guard in Radiant Garden, but turned to a nobody during the events that preceded KHI with that world succumbing to the Heartless. She was spared the effects of the reset during to being caught in the Realm of Darkness at the time. May nix the nobody part though.

Weapon(s): Heart Of Darkness

Powers/Abilities: Taivas can harness the darkness inside of his heart. Being able to control lower-ranking heartless. Taivas also can create portals made out of darkness to travel between worlds. He used the darkness in his heart to power him up, increasing his strength, durability, and speed. He has also harnessed the darkness to allow him to teleport a short distance inside of the world.

Backstory: Taivas was born on Destiny Island or so he assumes. He remembers his past and his best friend named Hav. However, with each time loop he feels compelled to find his friend. Unknown to him his friend Hav is an anomaly who is trying to defeat the Org Of Light and break the time loop. Always being close to being reunited with his friend before the timeloop happens. Remembering the name of his friend and where he could find her. During the many timeloops he had used the darkness inside of his heart to help in his quest to find his friend. Trying to remember each timeloop and to help the resistance against the Org Of Light.

A Complete Anomaly

Powers/Abilities:
Essentially a Time Mage. He specializes in the Stop, Haste, and Slow spells - while occasionally using spells like Comet and Gravity as a source of damage. While he is capable of the higher-tiered forms of these spells, the trade off is that he can't use any other types of spells. No healing, no elementals, etc. He tries to make up for this shortcoming by utilizing well-timed strikes and flourishes in conjunction with his Time spells.

Known Spells:
Haste, Slow, Stop, Gravity, Zero-Gravity
These function exactly as they do in the games.

Comet - Calls down a short rain of small meteorites that strike a single target with light/medium non-elemental damage. It's upgraded form is Meteor, which calls down a single large meteorite capable of striking multiple targets within it's area of effect for heavy non-elemental damage.

Backstory:
Tempus is a bit of an oddity, even for an anomaly. He has no recollection of the homeworld he was actually born on. Much of his early life was spent instead in Traverse Town, a world largely made up of castaways from other worlds - Tempus included. Beyond that he has spent a great of deal time hopping between worlds wherever he's needed as part of the rebellion. The impetus for his joining the rebellion came in the form of his Keyblade, that came to him for reasons he doesn't fully understand. This of course has resulted him being decently high up on the Organization's "to do" list as it were. Deep down he is also trying to search for his forgotten homeworld in the hopes of eventually filling in the blanks of his past.

Other:
Having no recollection of his actual birthplace, Traverse Town serves as the de facto "homeworld" for Tempus. But his lack of any real, tangible connection to any world he goes to seems to be the reason why he remains unaffected by the resets and time loops perpetrated by the Organization of Light. While he hasn't quite figured why his Keyblade came to him, his current theory is that it was a response to his desire to find his true homeworld.
