The kick connected solidly in Lorken's groin, Karada's leg feeling strained from the amount of force put behind it. While the elbow hit connected squarely in his chest, it would be clear to anyone what the stronger blow was. Years spent training his body gave him a squat of 325 pounds, and a kick from legs like those were sure to knock this guy down. While Karada couldn't hear it, Lorken's teeth dug into his arms, as a barely suppressed scream echoed next to Karada's ears. The grip that had encased Karada's throat like an iron maiden immediately softened, enough for him to break away and gulp down the sweet, sweet oxygen to his burning lungs. Eyes narrowing, Karada immediately turned, using the momentum to help throw a punch directly at Lorken's throat. As the horned man coughed violently, Karada quickly rose to his feet, attempting to deliver a kick to the gut, only to feel a bright flash of pain in his leg. Lorken's claws had dug deep into his flesh, nearly down to the bone, and the blood of the two men began to mix. It would almost be poetic, if Karada wasn't in searing pain. In the back of his mind, he jokingly reminded himself that his pants were now completely ruined, only to be interrupted mid thought as a hand brushed the back of his head, slamming his and Lorken's together. Stars flew, and Karada was about to deliver another punch to the throat, but a combination of pain from his leg and claw marks on his throat caused him to move too slowly, and with another swift headbutt (Thankfully missing the horns both times), he and Lorken both fell to the ground.
"Karada Fudosan, pass."The words barely processed in his dazed mind, and he was already shakily making his way to his feet when the words finally seemed to register. Karada simply waited several seconds, barely keeping himself steady and out of unconsciousness, pondering if he was simply trying to trick Karada. It wasn't until he stood up and turned to unlock the gym door that Karada calmed down. Lorken was smart, keeping him in his peripheral vision, but he was being sure to let him know that he didn't intend to fight Karada anymore. Karada began to make his way over to the door, doing his best not to show his limp, before speaking out.
"I already knew that. I told you-"A sudden coughing fit overtook Karada, remnant of that choked windpipe.
So much for looking cool..."-I told you I was a hero, didn't I?"Normally he would have been more respectful, but bleeding heavily and getting a concussion didn't really make him feel in the mood to kiss ass. Karada staggered out of the gym, slowly making his way over to his abandoned suit jacket. At least that wasn't ruined... As he made his way over, Gank rose to his feet, checking out his body and trying to figure out what he was in for. Karada received a pat on the back from his friend, and while the physical contact occurred, Karada whispered as softly as he could in order to ensure Lorken didn't hear.
"Good luck, he's a tough fucker. Go for his family jewels."Karada continued his staggering, not even turning to look at Gank's reaction. As he finally made his way to his spot, he moved his suit jacket to prevent blood from getting on it, before slumping unceremoniously to the ground. Karada did his best in order to retain consciousness, occasionally slapping himself awake. After about 10 minutes, however, he was feeling significantly better - Probably because he was treating his leg wound with some disinfectant and bandages he brought along. After being satisfied, he pondered slightly how bad the others must be worried - Karada came back with a deep leg wound, was barely conscious, and was bleeding profusely through the nose because of the headbutts. Then again, he wasn't that worried when the short kid disappeared (And still wasn't present, to Karada's dismay), and the kids before him, while not as roughed up, were definitely worse for wear. Maybe the other kids had already accepted this was their last chance. No, that was definitely it.
The white-haired girl seemed to be more comfortable, or at the least wasn't ignoring the group of people sitting around her anymore. Karada was a ball of nerves before entering, but now that he had passed the test, he spent more time examining her - The most obvious thing about her was that she had a pair of large wings on her back. Hell, when she was sitting, they were touching the ground! Other than that, she also possessed antennae, and while she wasn't as short as the red head, she looked very lithe, almost delicate. This pointed to a bug like quirk, and considering most animal-like quirks related to an actual animal, she was most likely based on a flying insect, like a fly or a dragonfly. The people with bug-like quirks face some of the only discrimination that even exists anymore, mainly due to their alien looking physiology. Maybe she was like him, and was disliked or rejected for something she couldn't control, or something she didn't do. That, or Karada was simply overthinking it because of massive blood loss. Keeping the girl in his peripheral vision, Karada's thoughts wandered to the short guy that was missing. Aketchi-kun, if he remembered correctly. Where the hell did he go? Was Lorken actually serious when he said that he wasn't going easy on them? It was almost impossible that he was killed... He probably got beat up pretty badly and got sent to the nurse office or something... Karada settled on that excuse, lest his mind wander to darker reasoning.
Time passed slowly, and with nothing to do besides occasionally smacking himself to retain consciousness, he waited for Gank to exit the gymnasium, before pulling out two cigarettes and offering one to the worse-for-wear Gankona.
"How'd it go?"
