"A million times I have done this charade. The moment people figure it out, I get the boot." she thought.
"But don't you want to see the fear in their eyes when they see who you really are...? Don't you want dominion of this place, just like how you were unchallenged in Vaal Kastrix?" said the Voice.
Ciara scoffed, immediately thinking of Gulliver and Valen. "I'd love to wipe the smirk off their faces."
"It starts by building a rumor. A rumor of power. This could be the place to start."
She took a deep breath, narrowing her eyes resolutely at the Undermage. "Head Advisor, with all due respect, you have no right to ask me about my intentions. If you want answers..."
She stood from her seat, rising to her full height.
Her breath caught when she felt the cold metal of a pistol against her temple.
"Put the heart down, and back the hell up if you want your friend to live," the guard said to Ellie in a rumbling baritone, digging the gun into Dream's head.
Dream squinted at Ellie, vision blurred as she tried to breathe. The heart, glinting in Ellie's hands.
The doctor, his face turning white every time she asked what would happen if they failed. Above all else, he said, they had to keep the heart safe. They had to, even if it meant...
She snarled, her boot stamping down on the guard's foot, a burst of light bruising the bone. He yelped, losing his grip. That's all she needed, and she tore away. But in her haste, she saw his free arm reaching for her, and she slipped on panicked feet as he pushed her off the railing.
She held back a scream, staring straight down into the boiling pit below. The guard wrapped a tight hand around her ankle, and Ellie could see Dream's other foot flailing; she restrained herself poorly from kicking the guard, desperately hoping she wouldn't die.
As her captor supported himself against the railing, his pistol pointed at Ellie.
Deep, golden orbs stared back at her from within the cave.
God, she couldn't breathe.
He was monstrous. The ground trembled under her feet as his rippling, massive body exited the cave. Thunderous footsteps left cracks in the dirt, his breath sent waves of heat creeping over her skin. The transformation was slow, but it looked like something from a nightmare with the way his long teeth were bared.
A great and terrible roar sounded from his gaping maw.
@Estylwen Heey lovey! As you know I got back yesterday from camp, and I am very sick! Camp was nice, though. I am just catching up on sleep and everything. I need to catch up reading, too, and then I'll be able to write! <3
Oops! Right I almost forgot. Glad camp went alright, take some rest. Would you like to post after Angel or do you think you'll be alright?

You didn't think much of it, dropping off your child at the local daycare. A new place, with painted hills and blue skies on the walls. You went to work, thinking nothing of it. Until, finally, you came to pick up your precious child.
When everything was shattered with a scream you knew too well. The scream of your child.
The scream caused you to fall into a wall.
You thought you were still in the daycare. But everything looked… different. The attendants were missing. Your child also, was missing. You began running down halls, only to realize they spanned on endlessly. To turn back, you had already lost your way.
You've ended up in a strange world indeed.
The world of the backrooms beckons you to complete its tests and unravel its mysteries. Done well, and you may please the backrooms enough to earn your freedom, and find that lofty exit sign.
Fail to impress, or cheat your way through, and you will find the backrooms to be a very, very hostile place.
Remember, your child is somewhere here, crying. You must find them before time runs out, and make an escape for the both of you.
The backrooms are considered to be the backdrop of reality, existing underneath or outside of everything. To reach the backrooms, one has to no-clip, or glitch into it. To escape the backrooms, one has to complete the challenges presented by the backrooms represented by levels. Every level completed brings a person closer to the exit, and escaping the backrooms back to reality.
In the backrooms, it's necessary to look for food and water, as resources are few, and it's possible to die of lack of food and water.
The backrooms is home to mystery, with clues painted on the walls. Unraveling its secrets can give a person an edge in traveling the levels.
The backrooms is also plagued by mysterious entities. These entities often seek to cause harm to persons in the backrooms, and should be avoided. Some, however, are benign, and may offer insights or help.
x Each room has a specific purpose, and has a different level of survivability. Keep your wits about you as you venture. x It is recommended to draw a map of where you've been to keep track of your location, and make backtracking easier. x Since each player is in their own parallel dimension, the only way to interact with each other is to affect the rooms. You can affect rooms by moving objects, leaving notes, and solving puzzles. Other players will be able to see these. x You will be informed when you have completed a level, and have moved closer to the exit.
The Rules:
x No godmodding. You control your player, and that's it. This will be strictly enforced. x Post at least once a week. Those who go longer than two weeks without posting may find their character met with a terrible fate. x Player death is a very real likelihood. Be prepared to make new CS sheets in the event you don't make it. Your next spawn will be closer to the exit to make your next playthrough a bit easier. x GM and Co-GM have the final say. x Ideas and collaboration are recommended. Have fun while you solve puzzles and explore!

@Estylwen Since we'll be in a collab-heavy period, I'm thinking we could have a side-story scene with Headmaster Ashan and Matriarch Jezebel. Maybe she's there during the timeskip period to teach at the College, officially at least, while behind the scenes, she'd be scheming with the headmaster, maybe with the goal of sabotaging the Royal Gardeners. Hey, anything to help realizing her daughter's mission (Read: her ambitions) easier. 😏
The post looks great! Will Kronos be headed toward the Ravenfell castle?
Sure! That sounds good to me. Feel free to write out an intro and PM it to me!
