Current I'm about to be banished for the good of the realm again. Where is the trust in this world, I ask you?

I'm sorry, you've reached his personal secretary, Department of Shrubbery, Floor 64, Desk 1024. How can we help you today?

Or buy a van or a used rental truck. Something nobody would look twice at. You can put in a rack for the rope, duct tape, plastic sheeting, shovels....

Never trust a car salesman - especially a used car salesman. Have a buddy park across the street and see how many stuffed body bags you can shove in there. Gotta have room for plastic sheeting, etc.

Neil Gaiman wrote in his Good Omens bio that he likes it when fans send him $50. (He read Terry Pratchett's bio and figured it wouldn't hurt.)

Bio

I am a seven-foot tall minecraft-playing hindu guru drag-queen alien.

Possessor of an Ancient Device™ Model 17. No, I don't know what it does. No, you can't play with it.

Pronouns: It. As in: "What is it? What does it want? Why is it here? Oh my god, it's got my... <insert random body part or object here>"

Likes: World Domination, Writing, Rpg, scifi/fantasy, anime, sketchup 3d models, and anime music videos.

Companions: a host of characters from other games, my personal muse Penny (as in Bad), and the Badger gang - Toothpick, Buttons, Shark, and Mongo. They grew up in the balcony of an old theatre that played a lot of gangster movies. Normally benign, but may invade the OOC forums.

It has me thinking of a stranded fleet with refugee ships who get stranded in some out of the way binary system. Both stars have inhabitable planets in their own life zones. the fleet takes over a couple of planets orbiting the "A" star, the "B" star is ignored for now.

Military rule is established with mandatory compulsory service, some manufacturing is set up with restrictions on what can be produced, the priority being keeping the fleet on a battle footing. Eventually, they decide to split the fleet, one have protecting the civilians, the other half trying to find a way out.

While they've not returned in the last two or three hundred years, intelligent life has been discovered orbiting the B star - and they're not happy about the humans. I should say I'm rather new at this.
Just to check in...

@Expendable How's your character coming along?

I've found a very decent hook for her, I'm writing up her background. I should have a sheet ready for you tomorrow. I should just assign her ability scores using point buy?

Okay, reduced Remy to a class 1 and made an additional note that the police may suspect he's a variant, but how they don't think he could be since he wouldn't be living rough. And posted to the Characters tab.

Just my opinion, but I think anything that would count as a mass casualty incident where multiple people were involved would be a class 4. Destructive energy beams shoot out of your eyes? 4. Can spawn a tornado to tear through a city block or a trailer park? 4. Able to regenerate from injuries that would kill another man and make blades slide out of your hand? 3.

So, do cars in this alternate world still have wheels? What sort of tech might we expect?
@Expendable

I like this guy. It's like he's not a thief...on purpose...at first...but then after that he's definitely a thief.

One question: is he known to be a Variant or do the cops just think he's super slippery somehow? Cause he's apparently been to jail before.

Kid's gotta eat. The police don't know that Remy's a variant. In their view, if he was a variant who could take whatever he wanted, he wouldn't look (and smell) like a homeless street kid.

He's been tagged in a few surveillance pictures with suspected & known members of the Pariah Underground, however, and anyone who digs into his police record will notice that he somehow manages to escape from the group cell he's usually put in.

He knows he's different, however, since the first time he stared into the window of a fast food restaurant to watch as a sandwich was put into a bag, then found the sandwich had somehow wound up in his coat pocket.
