I'm about to be banished for the good of the realm again. Where is the trust in this world, I ask you?

I'm sorry, you've reached his personal secretary, Department of Shrubbery, Floor 64, Desk 1024. How can we help you today?

Or buy a van or a used rental truck. Something nobody would look twice at. You can put in a rack for the rope, duct tape, plastic sheeting, shovels....

Never trust a car salesman - especially a used car salesman. Have a buddy park across the street and see how many stuffed body bags you can shove in there. Gotta have room for plastic sheeting, etc.

Neil Gaiman wrote in his Good Omens bio that he likes it when fans send him $50. (He read Terry Pratchett's bio and figured it wouldn't hurt.)

Companions: a host of characters from other games, my personal muse Penny (as in Bad), and the Badger gang - Toothpick, Buttons, Shark, and Mongo. They grew up in the balcony of an old theatre that played a lot of gangster movies. Normally benign, but may invade the OOC forums.
Off the top of my head, there's probably a lack of usable runways, so likely flying some sort of Vertical Take-off & Landing or Short Take-off & Landing. Perhaps some new generation of Harrier JumpJets...
But with the alien invasion angle, 80's, and anime - perhaps some sort of transforming aircraft based partially on alien tech like they had in the anime Robotech / Macross? It's a plane, it's a half-plane with legs, it's a 50' tall mecha with a gun.
Cian eyed Gangraena curiously. It sounded female within, but the scent of her wasn't stirring her hunger. It carried a massive anchor and chain as if it was nothing but a toy, but prattled on, laughing. She might even be strong enough to carry her iron coffer with her inside, should it have come down like the woman's anchor.
Why did it not introduce itself? Was the armor a clue? She looked like a giant iron snapping turtle. Was she expected to know who she was? And why talk to her at all? Could they not see the brand her mistress burned into her chest? Yet she took no airs. A most unusual person. Possibly...a useful person?
The vampire bowed her head slightly, as if it was perfectly ordinary to greet visitors while standing half-naked on the edge of a river while bathing. Well, unusual for others. Mor did like to demonstrate the cleanliness of her... staff.
"Good woman, I am honored to make your acquaintance. I am Cian, a humble servant late of the House of Donovani. Until recently, I was a prisoner, so please accept my apologies for not knowing who you are, I am deeply ashamed of that."
The vampire pauses, her brow furling before finally shaking her head. "My apologies, again. I know not of these 'wardens' of which you speak. What are they? What do they ward? Why did that one command us? I fear I have no idea how long I've been...away."
"Miles McClelland," the officer said, giving him a glance before returning to the PADD in his hands. "Chief Engineer, assigned to the USS Tucker. You have immediate transit orders, report to Transporter Room three within thirty minutes."
"USS Tucker, transporter room three, thirty minutes," Miles repeated back with a nod, a Gaelic lilt to his voice. "Aye aye, sir."
Immediate transit orders meant Star Fleet Command already considered him late. He strode away, shaking his head. He as already older than most of them, gathering many a curious look by his classmates, and was leaned on in the engineering classes to demonstrate. Of course, Miles knew the other reason was the instructors hoped to catch him in a mistake, so they could point out the dangers of lax familiarity.
He smirked slightly. Any "lax familiarity" was beaten out of him by the CHENG of the USS Wolf, a Kremlin-class survey ship under Captain Schuster. No, Lee Killough had taught him well, including how to anticipate.
He pressed his thumb into the panel and heard the click of the locker door. Behind it, his travel bag was ready to go. Pulling it out, he headed towards the transporters.

Personal Information:
Biography:Born to Captain Grant and Doctor Sarah McClelland in the sickbay of the Charles McClelland, a Darien Colony merchant ship. Miles' mother died in child birth. Miles spent most of his early years in the ship's nursery until his father remarried.
The nursery, of course, makes several arrangements for the children in their care to have field trips. But on a trip to the zoo, when they realized that Miles (4) had vanished from his stroller, they were shocked to see him curled up beside a female Orithian Saber Cat, who protected him from the other saber cats.
After that rescue, young Miles was forbidden from leaving the ship.
When Galadenella was discovered, an artificial planet-ship that was basically worlds stacked like layers in a cake, the Charles McClelland was contracted by the Federation to bring trade goods from Darien Colony. Miles (10) pleaded with his father, who relented and allowed the boy to come down to the first inhabitable layer to meet the Galadenellans.
However, a protest by some of the locals became a riot, and Miles was one of several hostages taken that day by a revolutionary group, the Eäplèspth Front. When an attempt was made to rescue the hostages, the Eäplèspthans went underground - or more correctly down a few layers to another of their stacked worlds.
Eventually, Miles and the other hostages came to the notice of one of the ship's nobles, TekLord Chzo, who decided to take the boy in while negotiatons with the Federation was ongoing. The TekLord was trying to work out the lost technology of Galadenellans, and found the boy's inquisiveness and mechanical aptitude most rewarding.
When an ancient lab was discovered in a mezzanine layer between two world layers, TekLord Chzo took young Miles (15) with him to explore it. They found a console and an oversized chair, with long cabinets following it with workstations of some sort. Miles was sitting in the chair when a power spike hit the mezzanine grid, activating the equipment.
He had a vague realization that someone was screaming before he blacked out.
He awoke to an argument between Chzo and Adrley, a Galadenella translator who was part of the native negotiators. The two of them didn't get along well, Adrley was angry at Miles for how close he was to Chzo. The TekLord wanted Adrley to sneak Miles up to the negotiating table and turn the unconscious boy over to the Federation so his own doctors could treat him, but the translator was concerned what would happen if they delivered a comatose boy to them.
Both were relieved that Miles was awake again, but he had no memories of what had happened, which concerned the both of them greatly. But before Chzo could act, a Eäplèspth Front assassin shot the teklord. Adrley shot the assassin, then dragged the boy out. She got him up to the "topside" layer and into the hands of an independent civilian trader, Charles Murphy, ordering him to get Miles back to his people before the Eäplèspth Front could send anyone else. She then kissed him, then disappeared into one of the many surface shafts.
Murphy was alone on his ship aside from his robots, and actually desperate for conversation. To help pass the time, he taught the boy how to shoot a phaser, and to a lesser attempt, how to use a fencing foil.
Arriving on Darien, he had to wait a few weeks for his father's ship to arrive - and discovered he was half brother to four brothers and sisters. Something about the whole thing disturbed him, and some months later, when he turned 17, he joined Star Fleet as an enlisted man. It was in boot camp they discovered his mind block. While they had some concerns, there didn't seem to be anything physically wrong with him, so it was decided to let him continue. He rose to Engineer 2nd Class, most of his other duties were maintaining the shuttlecrafts and repairing small equipment.
After his four year hitch, he returned to Darien Colony, grew restless, and decided to try for Star Fleet Academy a year later.
Other Details: Telepathically unreadable. For telepaths, it's like he's not there. Vulcan mind meld examination finds him... disturbing. It's like turning on a radio and hearing static - and it only gets louder the closer you get.
Close to what @Xaltwind said is my vision. While it’s largely sandbox, bear in mind this is a worlds where the respective gods can -and will- intervene should there be a need. So there are ways different characters could meet and interact. Plus Otherworlders are more likely to have contact with said gods since they’re the reason said Otherworlders are here in the first place.
But are they all being reborn as babies? Might be some time until they're up for adventuring.
Also, not sure why the god is also bringing people over. Seemed to be a real "the gods help those who help themselves" type.
The guy who he asked to "take care of his computer" is later seen throwing the plugged in desktop into a full bathtub.

He's not the first one she's brought over, either. But the goal remains the same - they must kill the hero. So far, the others have been stalled or failed.
So I'm a Spider, so What? (spoilers)
After an explosion wipes out the entire classroom, most of her classmates wake up as the sons and daughters of nobles. But our title character Kumoko was reborn as a spider....
Admittedly, I've been watching a lot of isekai lately, with a couple I'm currently watching in my queue, so I'm already familiar with this trope. I was briefly involved in a reverse isekai where creatures from a fantasy world wind up in New York City and must come up with some sort of life.
Personally, the more successful roleplays I've been a member of here and elsewhere had some sort of goal. In some sandboxes, I had to provide that goal for myself and had other players join in. So, as a suggestion, one of the two gods in this world has some sort of goal, which on the surface feels reasonable. But the way they intend to implement that goal is against the beliefs of the other. Of course, there's no knowing who's right or wrong, here. (It may be both are right.)
And there's something preventing direct interference, so they are forced to recruit outsiders as their intermediaries.
But are the players going to start as babies, or are they taking over the recently deceased?
