When you have to disable a new 'advanced' search to get proper search results and learn that 'advanced' means 'AI'. Let's rename it artificial superficiality, short 'AS'. Not to be confused with...

I'm slightly proud of myself having overcome my hate for indoor spiders a bit over the years. In my youth I often eliminated them, now I carry them outside in a jar. Spiders here are harmless though.

Believe me, if they could, the entirity of Southern Germany would send you all the rain they had over the last couple of days. I'm just not sure you'd actually want the widespread destruction.

Finally managed to catch the mouse. Our cat must consider me the most incompetent person of all times given how she watched instead of helping. She dragged the problem in though!

Bio

Welcome to my profile page!

Who the hell is this person behind those many miles of fiber optics and copper cable ?

  • I'm a 34 year old guy.
  • ... who's working as a software developer
  • ... and enjoys roleplaying as a casual hobby to distract himself from ongoing stress

And into which hell will I descend with you participating in one of my roleplays?

  • I'm a fantasy addict: medieval high and low!
  • I'd consider myself to be a low casual roleplayer, 3 paragraphs per post on average.
  • My schedule varies. It might happen that I won't be able to post at all for a week, but then again it might happen that I'll reach a sweet spot inside which I can go on a posting rampage. I'd say one can expect 1-2 posts a week from me, depending on the lengths involved.
  • English is not my native language, but so far I've not encountered anyone who had had trouble with me over that :)

Want to RP with me ? Shoot me a PM, but don't shoot me!

Thanks for visiting!

Vaughtar

Basically the gargoyle's whole ascent up the mountain could be summarized in a single outcry he never spoke out: Arrgh, that damn sun! As long as it was still morning and not past noon, he would become weaker - and he already was. Vaughtar felt like a sick man, a humongous sick man, breathing heavily and trailing behind when it went uphill. Additionally, even though he was wearing an impressive set of sunglasses, the combination of cloudless sky, fresh, reflective snow and cold, dry and clean air was overloading his eyes with brightness. It hurt, and if these glasses would drop right here he would be almost blind. At least he was proficient about covering his footsteps, smudging them by halfway dragging his feet through the deep snow. He had been told to do so, because nowadays virtually everyone had a camera in his pocket, and there was Youtube and other platforms. 'DINOSAURS NOT EXTINCT ? LOOK AT THESE CLAWS' or 'Chernobyl aftermath ? Giant wolves prowling in russian wilderness' were no fun media events to deal with.

The good thing was however: The castle was at a distant location. When they would have arrived there, it would possibly already be much later in the day and he would feel better, no longer having to feel like a burden for the rest of the team. The gargoyle let himself drop onto a bulge in the snow cover that appeared to be hiding a smooth rock beneath it. "We have to get rid of the snow without damaging any evidence first. Do we have shovels ? And we need to get there first, hopefully there really isn't anyone around anymore." Vaughtar asked, not speaking towards anyone in particular. There was still the bloodshot imprint of Wolfe's knee across his face, but at least the one on that enormous trunk that his thigh was couldn't be seen, being hidden beneath his cloak. The creature was wondering if anybody would ask where he had acquired this new... facial expression.

"Should we wait or get there as soon as possible ?" A major part of Vaughtar was hoping that they had not climbed this mountain just to have a good view through the binoculars and then go down again.

Two separate rooms ? Well... who was he to expect anything else. It would make it much easier for thieves and the like though. Madawc thrusted a few coins across the table as payment for their overnight stay, then started going upwards. Almost each and everyone of the wooden steps creaked under his feet and so did the bed which Madawc sat down on after bidding Xavier good night. The demonically infested man didn't feel ready for the land of dreams yet.

Harald turned his head. His skin already was pretty much reddish, so he was basically immune against blushing. He felt that this was a good thing right now, because else the other ones sharing this magnificent hot spring bath would have had an opportunity for grinning at him. However the question itself probably was self-sufficient for that purpose, or if not, the tone the splice presented it with. "France ? I will need a map to find that! And then a method of getting there." There was no indication that he had recognized that Alex was worried about the same problem - the reason was simply that the splice didn't speak french, so he had not understood his words in the first place.

Noone's gonna make that going-with-a-travelling-circus proposal now or I'll slab his face! Maybe he should just try and run ? On the other hand: He could easily end up with a shotgun's blast to his chest, or, to make things worse, in a lab. Huge red things that didn't look like natural inhabitants weren't that hard to spot after all... Go there by rail perhaps ? Hello I'm a little splice. Please just impale the ticket on one of my claws so I don't loose it! And can I reserve a cabin, with curtains so noone can spot me ? He could try and fly over there by himself, but that would require a lot of training beforehand.

"I'm appreciating your invitation, Sulleykaar. Would be a really nice thing to come true. When the time comes, can you perhaps give me a map of the location ?"
I'm interested as well.

A short question out of pure interest: Will all characters be human or are members of the other major, 'non-beastial' races/civilizations playable as well ?
@cpldingo and I are currently working on a collab. I'd like to postpone my next post until it is done because then I can refer to the events that have happened there. Of course, only if you're fine with that @Eyeris

Madawc went ahead and organized for the horses to have a safe place to rest over the night. He wasn't too picky about the tavern however. On his behalf, the two men ended up in a rather dilapidated looking, wooden building with only a few chambers spread across two stories. The barmaid was looking nice, but the fact that Madawc didn't appear to act any different towards her than he did to any owner of a shop was able to disperse certain suspicions. "Single room or one for each of us ?" he asked the mute. The woman had already told them about the pricing: It was more dead cheap than expensive.
I'm perfectly fine with The Goliath :)

Do you know that the first time I played a gargoyle character, several years ago and at another place, I wasn't aware that the show existed. And some day one of the other players was like "Here. I have some YouTube links for you..."
@Eviledd1984

"Ride less and walk more! It would be good for both you and your poor beast!" was a comment of the guard that fueled Madawc's anger. Kaol was even less beknown to him than the capital city had been, but at least the probability of being attacked there was lowered. Other people were around to protect inhabitants and guests alike. "What about searching for a nice little tarvern and stay a while ? Or do we have to hurry ?"

The demon part in the man had passed the guard unrecognized. If that soldier had put himself into the growing list of people who had been able to discover one of his more astonishing properties within an instant, he would have gone crazy. The war-painted man didn't tell Xavier about it though as he thought that it could be of a great concern for him.

Othen Perelyn

"I'm not hurt, but it could hurt me if we hesitate much longer. This place is too strange for me to stand around doing nothing." Othen's voice was like thunder, though he didn't actively intend it to be that way. The echoing gave it that effect.
"I suggest not looking far ahead as long as it is not absolutely necessary. That whatever-it-was could return and blind the next one. I'll go ahead." Othen didn't see much of a point in attempting to answer Floure's question. The truth was: He had no idea of where they were, and it was a more than feasible assumption for him that noone else had. So the logical conclusion was to go ahead. He already was in front of the others, and in his mind, he was well suited for the leading end with both his shield and his axe. Of course the risk was increased, but someone had to do it and a risk was nothing Othen was afraid of. "Does anybody have torches ? We could really need one, now!"

Despite the almost complete lack of light, the more than hulking berserker started moving, slowly putting one foot in front of the other while using his hands as sensors. There was a series of rather tight bottlenecks ahead: large rocks protruding into the way from both sides. Othen had to squeeze through walking sideways hard enough that it left some minor, but visible grazes behind on his back and breast. Emmett be careful. You need any help ?" Did he start to feel sympathy for Captain Cocky ? He probably did... The place seemed foul and a rather major part of him wanted Emmett to get his eyesight back. Him being blind would not help him and would not help all of them a bit, and even Rook's nephew had not - yet - earned such a terrible fate. He pushed himself against the wall right behind the first narrowing, giving the other members of the expedition enough space to move into the gap as well while waiting for Emmett to answer.
