When you have to disable a new 'advanced' search to get proper search results and learn that 'advanced' means 'AI'. Let's rename it artificial superficiality, short 'AS'. Not to be confused with...

I'm slightly proud of myself having overcome my hate for indoor spiders a bit over the years. In my youth I often eliminated them, now I carry them outside in a jar. Spiders here are harmless though.

Believe me, if they could, the entirity of Southern Germany would send you all the rain they had over the last couple of days. I'm just not sure you'd actually want the widespread destruction.

Finally managed to catch the mouse. Our cat must consider me the most incompetent person of all times given how she watched instead of helping. She dragged the problem in though!

Bio

Welcome to my profile page!

Who the hell is this person behind those many miles of fiber optics and copper cable ?

  • I'm a 34 year old guy.
  • ... who's working as a software developer
  • ... and enjoys roleplaying as a casual hobby to distract himself from ongoing stress

And into which hell will I descend with you participating in one of my roleplays?

  • I'm a fantasy addict: medieval high and low!
  • I'd consider myself to be a low casual roleplayer, 3 paragraphs per post on average.
  • My schedule varies. It might happen that I won't be able to post at all for a week, but then again it might happen that I'll reach a sweet spot inside which I can go on a posting rampage. I'd say one can expect 1-2 posts a week from me, depending on the lengths involved.
  • English is not my native language, but so far I've not encountered anyone who had had trouble with me over that :)

Want to RP with me ? Shoot me a PM, but don't shoot me!

Thanks for visiting!

I'm afraid I will reveal horribly insufficient English language skills once I go on Skype.
It seems that I've created a real general-purpose name.
Vaughtar

Vice grips ? Oh... Direct contact with humans had been a very rare thing on Munimis, so the gargoyle was anything but used to throttling back his strength to a level that didn't hurt them.

"Sorry." Was there a bit of ruefulness in his voice ? It just didn't fit to the rest of the giant creature at all...

Vaughtar released a series of loud coughs when a whisp of smoke coming from Hirsch's cigarette managed to find its way into his lungs. This strange habit left him behind with a severe lack of understanding: Wasn't life already difficult enough for humans ? Why did they have to deliberately do things that were just bound to hurt them ? Or well... maybe things were so relaxed for them on this 'Earth' that they could afford it easily. He had to stop applying the standards he was used to on this world and its inhabitants, really.

The gargoyle was on the brink of asking about it when suddenly, the larger of the two marines, Hirsch, got virtually snatched away by this strange looking other creature that he had seen from the air. The action looked quite a bit like another pair of vice grips and the other woman he didn't know very well obviously was caught in it, too... What was its name ? Shanon ? The gargoyle wasn't sure since he had been busy with other things, but apparently Shanon had to be very strong despite the creepy noises emanating from its joints. It was an observation that shed light on a spontaneous idea, making him momentarily forget about the aerial recon requested.

"Hey, erm... Shanon ? Could you do that with me as well ?" If the monk's magic failed while the sun was still high above the horizon - and that could happen at any moment - Vaughtar would be not that much more than a sitting duck. Others had already diagnosed that likely the whole team combined would not nearly have enough physical strength to move him anywhere if it should become necessary. So maybe Shanon could do it, though it would possibly look like a poor mount buried beneath a grey-black mountain of muscle, wings and claws.
@KuramaaaZ He could just talk with Niall and Asmund (or laugh off his ass when the latter one fails).
An-Hasst's original name: An-Hasst
An-Hasst's name when he's nasty: An Asshat.
An-Hasst's name when he has struck black gold in the desert and become a Saudi Arabian oil sheikh: An-Hassat.

What will come next ? ^^ @POOHEAD189
'How could you accuse me of such low standards? I'll have you know, since you've asked, that I am a priest of the gods!'

It wasn't until this point that the Skayleigh transferred any of his attention to the ongoing dialogue at the opposite end of the table. It had not been the volume Settionne had been using, but the slight outrage his half-even ears had been able to pick up. Now he tried to piece together what had been said before that by memory. Most parts were missing, of course, since he had been busy with addressing Calanon. One word however had managed to stick since it had been repeated in one or another fashion: thief.

Yaroslav and Settionne became the target of a prolonged, penetrating glance originating from An-Hasst this evening. The half-giant opted against walking over to them though. He had already bumped into the battle mage in the figurative sense and didn't feel the need to do so a second time. Priest, thief... did this really matter ? Both 'professions' could be advantageous, given the proper situation. And if Yaroslav would be busy with keeping an eye on a thief, he wouldn't be able to keep an eye on a certain Skayleigh...

The half-elf was surprisingly sluggish when it came to mount Calanon's elk. It could have something to do with the fact that he had filled up his stomach up to the point where he had become noticeably thicker around his waist. Nothing out of the ordinary for him. It just made him a bit tired, but now he had Brogach taking care of his weight. The crossbow was resting on his back in a drawn and locked state, ready to fire the first bolt without having to prepare - one of the advantages of using such a weapon. The two blades were in their sheaths strapped onto his huge thighs so it wouldn't be a very time-consuming task to put them into action either. Who knew... He was also wearing the magic necklace, but the only things that it allowed him to see were more or less impressive areas of the southern landscape that was largely unknown to him. Hopefully this would hold true for the remainder of the trip as well...

@POOHEAD189 As you can see in the last post of page 9, I've already said that An-Hasst has either finished his convos or is waiting for one of your characters to respond. You acknowledged this later on.
Gonna post tomorrow - too tired today.
@Smystar99
I do have grey eyes in real life ^^ (...with a bit of a brownish ring around the center. I have the feeling that it very slowly expands outwards...)
@Eviledd1984

Xavier's image that he had gained through his new powers was blurred. The enemy was moving extremely fast. In fact, it was flying - and it now suddenly came down from the treetops. Large, feathered wings were attached to a sleek, but muscular body. The creature had its hands free for using its bow while descending and released a deafening shriek. It appeared that it planned to slam right into the former mute.
