When you have to disable a new 'advanced' search to get proper search results and learn that 'advanced' means 'AI'. Let's rename it artificial superficiality, short 'AS'. Not to be confused with...

I'm slightly proud of myself having overcome my hate for indoor spiders a bit over the years. In my youth I often eliminated them, now I carry them outside in a jar. Spiders here are harmless though.

Believe me, if they could, the entirity of Southern Germany would send you all the rain they had over the last couple of days. I'm just not sure you'd actually want the widespread destruction.

Finally managed to catch the mouse. Our cat must consider me the most incompetent person of all times given how she watched instead of helping. She dragged the problem in though!

Bio

Welcome to my profile page!

Who the hell is this person behind those many miles of fiber optics and copper cable ?

  • I'm a 34 year old guy.
  • ... who's working as a software developer
  • ... and enjoys roleplaying as a casual hobby to distract himself from ongoing stress

And into which hell will I descend with you participating in one of my roleplays?

  • I'm a fantasy addict: medieval high and low!
  • I'd consider myself to be a low casual roleplayer, 3 paragraphs per post on average.
  • My schedule varies. It might happen that I won't be able to post at all for a week, but then again it might happen that I'll reach a sweet spot inside which I can go on a posting rampage. I'd say one can expect 1-2 posts a week from me, depending on the lengths involved.
  • English is not my native language, but so far I've not encountered anyone who had had trouble with me over that :)

Want to RP with me ? Shoot me a PM, but don't shoot me!

Thanks for visiting!

Madawc proved himself not to be especially picky. He certainly had acquired an eye for quality over the years, the demon part adding a considerable amount of knowledge to that. However form followed function, so the pieces he chose were very very good, but hardly featuring any decoration.

He noticed the king becoming a bit thoughtful. "What is it ? You're concerned about something ?"
@Eviledd1984
"Alright..." Madawc said, crossing his arms in front of his breast. "Then lead me to your equipment and the horses now." A smirk appeared on his face. Finally somthing interesting to do - and something that actually had the potential to nourish his own curiosity.
@Eviledd1984
Madawc arched an eyebrow. Destruction ? Oh who didn't like destruction ? All a question of dosage... However, given that the king was talking about the entirity of Bravado and other nations, even the demon part, but especially the human part, could see that this could be an oversized risk.

"That woman ? What do you know about her ? And you know that Xavier has...undergone a transformation.. since he has met her ? And another thing... if I am gonna to keep pace with them and track them down, I need a much faster mount. Something that can actually carry me and if that's not possible, then a carriage or the like..."
@shagranoz Trying to put together my character idea into a real sheet tomorrow. Time has run out for today for me :(
@Eviledd1984

"Define... 'unsavory'" Madwac replied, arranging for a very noticeable, artificial gap between these two words and looking at the king with his head partly lowered. His facial expression seemed interested, but also rather impish. "Also, may I ask why, if you're worried about him, you removed him from service right now."

The demon part of Madawc felt that the king was nervous - and he enjoyed it. The more human part tried to supress this joy, knowing that standing here required for some basic level of decency. "How handsome would this sum be ? And what are the risks ?"
"What is it ?" Madawc sounded quite a bit annoyed, something which was in complete disregard of who he was talking to. It was a repetition of his former words. Hopefully this time the king would say something that provided more information than that he just needed help. "Which dragon am I going to slay for you ? Or..." The demon's voice became noticeably more sinister: "Has it something to do with the one who has just left the room ?"
Interested ^^
@BCTheEntity I've started making an edit into my post while you were offline and finished it just one minute before your post. Have you read it ?

I am not my character. If An-Hasst interprets the situation the way he does and doesn't see the goal behind it or sees it but still decides that it's a fancy way Sett tries to achieve it, then its his problem.
@BCTheEntity I am aware of the fact that nobody has yet introduced the lizardman to the reason why our party is out there. In fact, it's the very point of my post.

If it were in any way achievable, I am sure your assistance would be of great help to our small-yet-tight-knit band of adventurers; but alas, I am also quite sure you shall in the future be occupied with more pressing concerns than our own..

An-Hasst however knows why the party is out there, because he's a part of it and has received the queen's instructions as well. Yet Sett states to the unknowing lizardman that he will likely be occupied with more pressing concerns than theirs ? What can be more pressing than a world-saving quest ?

An-Hasst is just amused because this discrepancy between what really is and what Sett says is an indication that he's not straightforward in his speech, which the Skayleigh assumes one would be if there wasn't any hidden intention behind. Which one that is, however, he doesn't know yet.
Taking a primitive mathematical-theoretical approach, one could state that the probability density of encountering the correct lock was a flat line across the number of coaches already tried. The chance of the last coach to be the right one was equal to the chance of the first or the middle one to be it. However, this statistic did not consider some more subtle factors, one of them being the wannabe-thief being a tad nervous, hasty and thereby not very gentle or even precise with the key-lock-pairing. There were hardly any coachmen (who wanted to wait outside when there was a tavern ?), but after almost a dozen of hard bounces, jams and rubbing against more or less badly lubricated cylinders, the damn key just broke. It did not necessarily mean that the plan had to be abandoned. There were other ways to get in: Break the thin glass, for example. Or take that large iron rod that was leaning against the back outer wall of the tavern and use it as a makeshift crowbar. Or take that other coach that still had two horses hitched up to it and just drive it away. It would be the goblin's own decision if he wanted to leave for greed without his friends or not.

Vekyzz sticked to his slow approach. His shadow more and more started to encompass the harp player, and since he was so tall, he knew that he very soon was in reach of him. The demon didn't care much about the other persons currently present. There was something going on on the upper level, but the first to deal with still was Mr. 'Lard Arse'. He'd soon see why Vekyzz was so freaking large and heavy!

@knighthawk
As if he weighed almost nothing, the musician was grabbed at the collar of his shirt and lifted off the ground at the very end of Vekyzz' outstretched left arm. With his biceps bulging beneath his dark skin, the demon pulled the man towards him, holding him high enough so they could stare into each other's eyes. "Now... what do you say ? Shall me make a few tests of strength to see who of us is more worth his weight ?" Speaking this, Vekyzz allowed for his large teeth to be clearly seen.
