You ever realize that you haven't changed your status in months, go back to change it, and then wonder what the *fuck* your previous status was even talking about?

No, no, they clearly are referring to Ohio -- which Georgia is geographically south of, so the theory is still sound.

Mira Grace

Dɪᴀʟᴏɢᴜᴇ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✦ #8AB8E6 || Tʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✧ #EBB40E

For a single moment, everything was still.

"My class is Saber." The firm yet gentle voice echoed faintly in the now-silent chamber, and Mira found herself unconsciously jolting bolt upright, as if standing at attention. She had no idea what manner of Servant she'd summoned, but from her very first words - not even to mention from the power she could sense behind them - she instinctively knew that this woman, whoever she was, deserved the utmost respect, and should receive nothing less as a guest in the Witch's home.

"As the one who summoned me, you can only be my Master. Is this correct?" Mira opened her mouth to answer, but felt as if her lungs were devoid of air. She was... talking to someone? This had never happened before. Not since her mother's death had she been in the company of another being that could understand her. It was everything she'd dreamed of, and yet, she couldn't help but suddenly feel terrified. How was she supposed to talk to other people? What if she said something wrong and upset this woman? Unlike her familiars, this spirit had a will of her own and the freedom to act upon it. She couldn't afford to make her Servant angry with her before the war even started... What was she supposed to say? What was she supposed to do?

She couldn't think of anything else, and so bowed deeply, removing her hat with one hand - it was only polite to show deference to such an eminent person, wasn't it? - while awkwardly trying to perform a proper curtsy with the other when she hadn't practiced etiquette in years.

"M-my name is Mira Grace," She said softly. Her voice barely managed more than a whisper, but she nevertheless forced the words out, even though the very nature of her being went against speaking, filling her mind with countless fears and possibilities. "As you've said, I... indeed summoned you just now, and the connection seems to have been established properly." She held up her yet-bloodied hand, turning it to show the arcane marking upon its back - a crimson pattern resembling two crossed swords, each curving across the other and then back upward, adorned on either side with four wing-like shapes of criss-crossing lines reminiscent of veins. "However... I am not the one to decide whether or not I am your Master." She rubbed the cut on the palm of her hand unconsciously, a faint pulse of prana flowing through it as her Magical Crest activated, and a simple healing spell closed the wound. "That is to say, this ritual only grants me the power to compel you to act a total of three times, correct? Then, outside of that, the only sense in which I would be your 'Master' is if you chose to serve me for the sake of preserving both our lives together, and seeing both of our wishes granted."

She took a deep breath. She needed to be polite, concise, but most importantly, direct. In a battle, no great warrior would desire to serve under an indecisive captain. Then, if those sorts of words where what was required...!

"Then... Rather than asking me if I am to be your Master..." She mustered as much courage as she could, and said the first thing that came to her head.

"I ask of you, Saber: are you my Servant?"
I'm really sorry, but it looks like I'm not going to have time for this RP after all. @_@ In the next couple of weeks, my shifts are going to be getting longer at work, and I also need to prepare for moving back to college in a little under a month. That much aside, two other RPs I already signed up for have finally started, so I just really don't have much time to write aside from that.

I hope I'll get the chance to RP with you later. ^^;
Alright. I'll start working on the cards. Hopefully should be done with a test deck by tonight.

Careful with having too many searchers. Kinda makes it rather unfun to fight against.

That's actually kind of why I wanted to do something other than Gusto. Gusto is ENTIRELY searchers, and I wanted something a little closer to vanilla Psychics with their wonky banishment searches and stuff. The concept I have is a bit shaky so far, but I have the basic idea down.

I think I'll probably go for a mixed archetype of various aqua, rock, and winged beast type weak tuners supporting a series of three high-level spellcasters by doing stuff like sending them from the deck to the graveyard when one supporter is destroyed by battle, setting up to summon them back when a specific other supporter is summoned to set up for pre-defined synchro combos of a specific tuner and a specific spellcaster. The resulting synchros would then be able to achieve different effects by shuffling different types of supporters back from the graveyard into the deck, while the archetype's supporting spell cards would shuffle spellcasters back in to achieve powerful effects, but the archetype's field spell would benefit from having multiple spellcasters still in the graveyard, making it a balancing act between having monsters available and powering up the monsters you've got on the field. In lieu of my usual Assault Modes, I'd also probably include some kind of XYZ or Fusion Monster requiring multiple Synchros to set up as a final ultimate trump card, just because I like having monsters that go steadily through different stages.

What do you think?
Hmm... On second thought, I might try to come up with my own original archetype. It'll probably still end up being sychro-oriented with low attack power but a lot of searchers, but might end up being more psychics than Gustos. ...Or I might go with spellcasters, instead, just to mix things up.
@VitaVitaARI think I know who it is, too. :D
...Speaking of how the game actually works, how will we end up handling the duels, anyway? Will we just use some kind of online dueling program and play them out that way, or just write up bullshit based on our decks so everyone always has the perfect card to "NOT SO FAST!" with?
Posted. Although I didn't say in the post, Aster is taking the convoy recovery mission as well.

She had a new job to do.

After all, that was the only reason why she'd be awake right now. A jolt ran down her spine, engines whirring beneath her skin and carbon "muscle" fibers tightening to bring her upright as her implants powered back online, fully charged and ready for operation. Aster rubbed her eyes as the daze of her sedatives started wearing off and a new awareness rushed into her, bringing to her notice the faint stinging in her left elbow as the injection needle that had administered her dose of stimulant retracted into the clinical bed she'd been lying upon.

The room was empty, as always. Featureless white walls on all sides, with a featureless white floor below and a featureless white ceiling above, the latter marked only by a few dim lights. She clambered down from the bed, still rubbing at her stinging arm as the pain brought her rapidly to her senses. There was a dull throb in the back of her head, but it wasn't as bad as it usually was. It would go away with time.

The comm terminal on the wall was buzzing, a red light flashing to show she had an incoming signal. She pressed "accept," and a video feed was established, solidifying into the image of a bespectacled, middle-aged man in a suit, his graying blonde hair cut short and kept slicked back from his high, furrowed brow.

"Doctor Rosenberg," She greeted respectfully, lowing her head in deference. "What can I do for you today, sir?"

"Subject Alecto," He began sternly, speaking with the air of a man reading from a script, or reciting some formal decree. "The project's advisory board has deemed you ready to begin field testing operations under real combat conditions. We've secured you a mission contract with the local Outcast's Guild branch. Be ready for deployment and in the hangar within fifteen minutes. You'll receive briefing en route to the site. That is all."

"Y-yessir!" She responded hastily, giving a quick salute before the video feed cut out. What was all this? A real mission, and so suddenly? She was going to be... She was going to be fighting a real battle? An old fear began to steadily arise in her heart, but along with it, an old desire took root as well...

There was no time to lose.
@1Charak2Unfortunately not. T_T I only recently started actually RPing here, so I don't really know too many people. Sorry.
