@Themerlinhawk I started working on a CS last night, I hope to have it done by the end of tonight, if not, then tomorrow at the latest! Thanks so much for being open to having me! :3

Is this still accepting? I've been browsing the interest checks and newer RPs and this is the only premise that's piqued my interest thus far. I have a WIP in mind for an older member of the house staff, having been around since the Lord's parents' time. She would be the house chef, but used to be the overall housekeeper until the younger girls joined to take on more of the cleaning duties. She would kind of be like the maternal/grandmaternal(is that even a word?) personality of the house, but with a dark twist~

If not, I will carry on in my search!

Tires peeled against the asphalt as Chris sped his KTM Super Duke down Washington Avenue, away from his home. It wasn’t the nicest bike on the streets, but it was his. Back when the cycle was originally manufactured two years ago, it would have cost about as much as a mid tier sedan, but Chris bought her for only a few hundred bucks via Craigslist. The seller warned that she wasn’t pretty and she didn’t run, but she might be good for selling parts.

The seller was an idiot.

He was some trust fund baby who wrecked his bike and didn’t know his way around a wrench enough to fix it himself. Worse yet, he would rather spend his daddy’s hard-earned money buying a newer model rather than pay for repairs. One boy’s trash was another man’s treasure though, so you wouldn’t hear Chrysler complaining. He had big plans for his steal of a purchase, which included putting the skills he had been learning at trade school to good use. With a little elbow grease, love, and many late nights spent cursing in the garage when the parts he ordered didn’t work, Chris finally got the bike street ready the summer before his junior year. He even got it a new paint job, black and blood orange. With a few more months of tinkering, it was race ready. That was the best part, giving those rich kids a run for their money — quite literally — in a motorcycle that he didn’t put more than a few grand and a year’s worth of manual labor into.

One of those rich kids he was giving a run for his money, however, ended up being one of his best friends to date. AJ Tyler. They might have only known each other for just under two years, but they had become fast friends. The years didn’t matter… they just got each other, ya know? It helped that Chris didn’t go to that cesspool of a drama academy — BHHS. Between his best friend’s and his girlfriend’s stories about what went down in those halls, Chris was never more glad to be a delinquent from the darker side of the sunny city.

Speaking of AJ, Chris was speeding down the road towards the In-N-Out where he and all of Chris’ other gearhead friends were meeting up prior to their grand road trip. Chris would be lying if he didn’t say he was jealous. He was. But he had shit to do now that he somehow managed to snag a highschool diploma. Against all odds and whatnot. His moms would only put up with him skulking around the house for so long, he had to get a job and move out. Out… and hopefully in with his blonde bombshell of a girlfriend. He hadn’t popped that particular question yet, though. Plans in the making.

Not just hell’s favorite harlot, Gwennie. Chris thought to himself as he listened to his girl trail out before introducing the next song on her radio station. God, did she have a voice for radio. As smooth and sensual as melted chocolate on a fresh strawberry. A voice for radio, a face for heartbreak, and a body for porn — goddamn, he was lucky, even if he never let the world see that he thought that. The punk rock speedster shook his head as she publicly announced their recent nautical tryst and called him Chrys — not Chris — because she just loved to push that no-full-name envelope. She pushed the envelope because she knew Chris would let her, hell, she could bulldoze the whole damned post office if she wanted.

Chris pulled his bike into a compact parking spot at the fast food burger joint and killed the engine. He recognized a few of the parked cars. Inside, his friends awaited, including his best friend, whom he was most definitely in the doghouse with for having to sit out on the trip. Responsibilities, bro, responsibilities! The leather-clad biker ordered a double-double meal with fries and a lemonade before meeting up with his crew. He sat down in the booth next to Aleks and Yessi and across from AJ while he waited for his order.

“Sup, fuckers?” He addressed the trio nonchalantly before reaching to snag a fry from AJ’s tray. “What’s up with that face, you thinkin’ bout how you gonna miss me, baby?” Chris teased AJ before chomping down on a fry. Yeah, so he was pushing buttons a little, at least it might get his mind off of the twink, who was undoubtedly the real source of any distress masked behind that cheesy grin.

Once semi-safely behind closed doors, Maya let out a long, exasperated sigh and rested the back of her head against the solid door behind her. Andrew seemed nice enough. Polite and cordial… normal, despite the curious predicament they were both in. Then again, she considered herself pretty average, and she was still here… so maybe the other guests were no different. They were just a bunch of normal people, stuck in a very unusual situation.

Her lids opened and Maya’s chocolate eyes began to scan the ceiling that her head was angled up towards. Were there cameras? Just how paranoid did she have to be in this seemingly beautiful house of horrors? Not having noticed anything out of the ordinary, Maya began to take in the rest of the room. The decor was tailored perfectly to her taste, more so than her own bedroom back home — most likely because these people had the money to truly decorate, while she did not. Gorgeous hues of reds, oranges, and golden yellows painted the bedspread, curtains, and walls. Maya loved the colors of a brilliant summer sunset, and this room embodied that aesthetic.

Despite how creepy it was that it seemed like this room had been designed specifically for her, the decor was soothing. Maya found herself breathing out a relaxing breath, and then two, and three. Eventually she made her way to the bed and sat down on it to pull her clothing and other belongings out of her luggage. Before unzipping the suitcase, a box on the end table beside the bed caught her eye. She reached over and opened it to reveal an extravagant navy blue mask adorned with shining crystals and peacock feathers. There was a note indicating that it was meant to be worn to the welcoming party at seven. A masquerade? She’d always wanted to attend one, but… perhaps under different circumstances. Like voluntarily, for example.

Maya set the mask back on the end table for a moment and went about settling herself into her new home away from home for the week. She unpacked her undergarments and pajamas and stored them in the dresser drawers, along with some of her more wrinkle-resistant casual and sportswear. The rest of her clothing was hung up carefully in the spacious walk-in closet, including the minimalistically simple designer dress and fabulous shoes that she intended to wear to tonight's party. Paid for on the Wolfe’s dime, of course. The red dress was elegant but muted, because Maya wanted the aztec print shoes to do all of the talking.

Following the sorting out of clothing, Maya set her jewelry and make-up out on the mirrored vanity desk. There was a separate work desk in the room were the student arranged her art supplies — storing the sketchbooks and color media in the desk drawers away from sunlight, and placing her pencils and ink pens in the decorative jar atop the work surface. With that, the finishing touches were complete. If she set aside all of the background that got her here, Maya could almost pretend this place was a super classy dorm room. It could almost feel like home.

Feeling much more comfortable and at peace, Maya set about getting ready for the party. She took a deep long soak in the tub located in her en suite bathroom. A tub with jets, mind you, because this place wasn’t extra enough. It wasn’t until Maya’s head bobbed off in a doze and her skin was pruned that she startled awake and finished her bath. She continued her coiffing by drying and setting her hair in big, soft, romantic curls and crafting a sultry brown and gold smokey eye with winged eyeliner sharp enough to kill a man. A barely there nude coral lip and a set of shining gold bangles polished off the look and she was finally party ready.

Tying the navy peacock mask on, Maya realized she probably could have done without the makeup, but at least she would still look good if it came time to take it off. Without any idea for what might come next, Maya headed down the flight of stairs to the designated meeting area for the party. There were far more guests than she expected. With their masks on, Maya hardly recognized anyone from earlier, but she assumed that the smaller group standing by an apparent staff member offering champagne might be them.

Maya took a place standing by them and nodded politely when the waiter offered her a glass of bubbly. She graciously took a flute in one hand but did not immediately take a sip. It might be on account of all of the seminars she had to attend in college, but Maya wasn’t keen on drinking a beverage that she didn’t pour herself nor watch being poured. Plus, she hadn’t ruled out this whole thing being an elaborate sex trafficking ring yet, so the drink really could be roofied. Better safe than sorry.

I'll work on a post for this by mid-week, I've had family in from out of town these passed few days so I've been distracted from writing.

Hello Again!
I'm going to put this here for anyone playing a gearhead - this is Chris. He's not on the trip (yet - I might come around later if it looks like the RP needs some extra life or if I feel more available to write), but your characters would definitely know him. The character sheet template looks a little different because I didn't want to bust the aesthetics of my old one up too much. My apologies! Hit me up if you want him to have a short cameo in your posts via text message or something of that nature. Best of luck to you all, happy writing!

@TootsiePop @BrutalBx
Hey all! I just wanted to pop in and say hi, because you'll be seeing me stalk this RP to read it. I'm not joining full time, but you might see some NPC cameos of my characters in your GM's posts. I play the boyfriend of AJ's ex, and I also play AJ's best friend Chris (full name Chrysler, but only two people are allowed to call him that - his momma and his girlfriend). Chris is a gearhead, naturally, but he's stuck doing certifications to become a mechanic, so he couldn't join in on the road trip.
