Current No point posting your writing online if you don't care about praise.

Honestly, I don't get the grief given to SAO when there's stuff like Mushoku Tensei where the MC actively lusts for underaged girls. And it's the most popular isekai in Japan.

Also, it's kinda annoying going back and forth writing short replies since I got other stuff to do and that just interrupts my rythm.

Lunatea wasn't impressed by the way Skarsneek greeted the sisters. Since when are they that close to him?

"Oh, you're on the field? Found any man of worth?" Skarsneek asked Lunatea nonchalantly.

Lunatea didn't say anything other than giving him a glare. On his remark about putting the human in a prison, however, she objected.

"No. There's no need for that. Put her in a private room instead. Place guards in front of the door. A prison is too cold and dirty for her."

However, said glare didn't last long. In a flash, she lost her composure completely.

For her magic panties had decided that she wanted some attention from him, and as such, called a gentle breeze to lift their mistress' dress, showing themselves off in all their tight glory to him.

Lunatea yelped, pushing her skirt down with her hands. He was not the kind of husband she was seeking.

Hinami couldn't do much of anything except look on with a somber smile on her face. She then turned to Luna. "Well, all's well that ends well I suppose. Thank you very much for all of your help; Sorae-san can be a handful, but we're so grateful you had a hand in saving her life." She said, making a polite bow. "Say, since we're done with the mission, did you wanna grab a bite to eat?"

The wererabbit rubbed her stomach. She was indeed quite tarnished.

"Yes, that would be lovely. It seems my stomach has been rumbling for some time and I simply have yet to notice it."

Is it okay if I make two characters that's a couple?
Call me interested! Need to think up a character first though...
The walk back to the shrine was uneventful, with no Varjans in sight. Lunatea made sure to keep a close eye on the frantic human woman, knowing perfectly well she'd probably run away if they were to look the other direction.

Once they arrived, they were greeted by Ayu.

"Oh, I wouldn't exactly call her a refugee," Lunatea answered. "It's more fitting to call her our prisoner. We need information from her and she refuses to give it to us." She glanced at the woman with an annoyed look. "But, that doesn't mean we should torture her or anything. I imagine that after spending some time with us, she'll come around to our side."

Lunatea relied on the fact that they were kinder and more civilized than the Varjans. Just as monster societies tend to be compared to human ones.

"I-I really don't know. I don't know what I can do or say to convince you of that."

Lunatea sighed. I knew this wasn't going to work! I just don't have the persuasive skills and charms necessary to pull it off!

"We can't take too long here. Reinforcements, or Varjans, might come." Sorae interrupted the interrogation. With a sigh, she gave her orders. "Take her to Terauchi Temple, where it's safe, and continue questioning her there. I'll stay here and look around some more. Don't worry, I'll be long gone before anyone else gets here."

"I'm entrusting her safety to you, yokai. Don't disappoint.."

"Don't worry," she replied to the human. "I'll keep her safe. No, we'll keep her safe," she added, glancing at her other two companions. "Come, human." She looked back at the frightened woman. "Let's move."
@AzureKnight@PaulHaynek
The scared woman did not respond, at least not immediately. Her eyes dilated, her gaze fixed directly at Atsuha's arachnid half. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"

The bloodcurdling scream rang throughout the sawmill, and even into the surrounding forest. So much so that some of the birds were spooked, startling flocks of them into flight.

Oh dear, it seems she doesn't take well to her appearance at all…

Before she could walk over and calm the woman down, however, Sorae came in, nearly knocking her off her feet as she rushed to where the woman was.

"Kana. Now what is Sogen's wife doing here?"

…Oh no, she's Sogen's wife?

The villager woman Kana recoiled as Sorae approached, clearly recognizing the Tokinomiya. "My husband is innocent! The Varjans killed your family!"

"Where is he?"

"I don't know..."

Sorae did not believe the answer. She seized Kana and pinned her against a wall. "You're lying!"

It was obvious that Kana was indeed lying, but perhaps there are better ways to coax the truth out of her.

She shook her head with a disapproving sigh. Is this how humans interrogate their prisoners? How barbaric and ineffective. Everyone knows all you need to coax the truth from humans is by seducing them.

Unfortunately, we don't really have a succubus or incubus in our midst to do such a thing to her. I certainly am terrible at it to be sure… which is why I have to resort to wearing these lecherous panties and underwear-exposing dress instead…

"Oh, umm, I suppose we could. After all, I'm able to pass as a normal human in most circumstances and Luna-chan's a cute bunny girl! People usually like rabbits more than spiders right?" She quietly said to Luna. Atsuha was able to hear it, though, and made a face at the last part of her sister's statement.

She sighed, walking forward to where the woman was.

"Miss Sorae, please, let me handle this."

She then knelt down in front of the human woman, who now looked like she could drop dead at any second from fear.

"Miss, please, do not fear. We have to intention to harm you or your husband. We simply wish to have a chat with him."

It was a blatant lie, of course, but she didn't need to know that.

She then grabbed her hands and looked her straight in the eye without flinching.
Luna-chan, you did it! That was amazing!" Hinami cheered, running over to the both of them.

Lunatea flashed a small smile at the jiangshi, feeling happy that she was getting some appreciation at last. Taking note that the two had finished their fight, she returned her attention to the human swordswoman.

"...I saw someone peeking at us from that small shack over there..." The paralyzed Sorae mentioned to the yokai.

"That shack?" Lunatea glanced at the run-down building. "Alright, I'll check it out. But after I heal your poison first."

"And quit with the healing magic, rabbit. I'm not gonna die from some paralyzing poison. I'm a Tokinomiya." She scolded Lunatea, simultaneously with a boast.

"Tch, suit yourself." She clicked her tongue before leaving the woman. Stupid human pride…

The person in the shack was a villager woman. She was plain, unremarkable and young. Not that pretty either, especially compared to the yokai. She cowered at the corner of the shack, and will begin crying at whoever would approach her. "Please! Don't hurt me! I don't know anything!"

"Dearie, no one here is going to hurt you." Said the Jorougumo in a kind, reassuring tone. "But, perhaps you could tell us what exactly you're doing here?"

She watched in silence as the spiderwoman tried to have a conversation with her. Better to give her some space. Clearly, she's terrified of us.

Still, it might be better if I was the one talking to her. I look more like a human than she is after all.

Happy birthday!

"Everyone, be careful! Those arrow bolts are laced with poison!" She warned.

"Poison?!" Lunatea cocked her head towards the jorogumo. Tch, of course they would lace their arrows with poison! Everyone who's fought off arachnids knows just how deadly they can be!

Indeed, she had faced off against one in one of her ventures to the many ruins she visited as part of her research. It really stemmed from a simple, silly mistake. She believed she was stealing her prey, a human boy she met while in said ruins. Apparently he was there as part of his coming-of-age ritual, a tradition from his village. In the end, she and the boy succumbed to the poison, and she only got out of the place alive because the boy asked the arachne to spare her.

She never saw the boy after. If she had to guess, he had become the arachne's husband, just like the arachne wanted.

She could only hope that the poison these humans used was not as potent as hers.

The fighting continued, Sorae and the taskforce gaining ground with seemingly little effort. Some of the bandits began to flee, knowing that they had not the ability to stand not only against yokai, but a renowned warrior of the Tokinomiya Clan as well.

Seeing some of the humans fleeing brought a smile to the wererabbit's face. Finally! Some sense! Just flee if you know you're outmatched!

That smile disappeared the moment Sorae collapsed to the ground.

"Sorae!"

She charged up a tornado to blow away the humans surrounding her but one of them fired their arm crossbows at her, forcing her to cancel the spell to dodge. Another one then charged at her location, drawing his battle sickles. Thankfully, Atsuha was there to pick up the slack, her sakura blossoms buying time for the now immobilized human warrior.

"My sister and I will handle these cretins! Luna-chan, please save Sorae-san!!"

"Got it!" Lunatea nodded, letting her take on the sickle wielders.

Her gaze then landed on the crossbow-wielder. He was reloading his weapon, no doubt planning to fire it at her again.

I won't let you!

Lunatea dashed forward, stopping right in front of the man, who was now in full panic mode.

Too slow!

She launched a swift spinning kick with her right foot, hitting him right on the head.

Knocking him out in an instant.

Even though she had no combat training whatsoever, she was still a wererabbit.

And like all wererabbits, she had exceptional strength in her legs.

The way's open! Now's my chance!

She rushed towards the fallen warrior, snatching her up without listening to her protests. And then, before the humans could attack her, she jumped upwards, once again utilizing the strength her leg muscles possessed.

And then, once they were in mid-air, she prayed.

"O Sylph! By your grace, grant us a safe landing!"

With her dress blowing in the wind, the wererabbit slowed her descent, landing somewhat away from the fighting, giving her the space she needed to administer her treatment.

"O Undine! Wash away the poison from this woman!"

She held both hands near the wound, her palm gently glowing with the light of restoration.

A/N:
Yes, the arachne thought Lunatea was after the boy because she kept flashing her undies to him.

@AzureKnight
But there were still some fighting force left, the remaining Wako bandits that Sorae pointed earlier had joined the fray. A couple of them shot their arm-mounted crossbows at Sorae, only for the yokai to witness something extraordinary. The last Tokinomiya retracted and stood on one leg, like a crane bird. The bolts then passed through her harmlessly, as if she was an illusion or apparition.

What in the- what was that?! Lunatea looked in awe.

But she couldn't afford to watch her for long as one of the bandits charged at where she stood. Naturally, his axe never reached her head as she already blasted him away with her wind spell.

Was that magic? Or some sword technique? Either way, I don't think it was illusion magic since she's still there in the flesh.
