Bio
Hello all. I am an experienced writer who is writing my own fiction stories on the side. I can role play any genre. What I love most is being able to go-all-out when weaving tales with other writers. It just makes the story more interesting, so I can't wait to write with you. :)
@HillanThere will be specific events for PVE (and possibly PVP in the future with tournaments). However, players are free to PVP if there's a story-related reason. Some characters may be hot-heads, may challenge another character outright (maybe heard that character was strong say if said character had a reputation), or there could be a misunderstanding, etc. Whatever reason you guys come up with. If they're already acquainted, then there's sparring.
I decided to put this game under. I know a few days ago I was determined to keep this going, but I can only foresee this game dwindling honestly. I didn't want to waste you alls' time and I had rather put my energy into long-term projects. Having said this, if you look at my signature, I had other games that could possibly interest you that have a survivable cast. Feel free to check them out if you're interested, and if not, hope to write with you all again. :) I apologize for being the quitter on this one. I'm usually not the quitter but I was thinking even further ahead to when I get off leave and return to work what my future schedule may be like.
@Rockin StringsRead Zarkun's post. You are ignoring his response to your character. You are also ignoring my GM post. If this continues, I'm going to have to recommend you go to the Free RP section for Casual may be just too advanced.
Welcome to the Power Level Shop! This is your reference for whenever your character’s power level increases throughout the game. The Power Level Shop provides basic necessities that are foundation to a character’s growth in the game. Some of you may have already chosen one of these abilities initially. If that is the case, then you can unlock a technique/ability/spell/upgrade slot instead. If you do not desire your character having any of these abilities, then you can opt to unlock a technique/ability/spell/upgrade slot instead. While this shop mostly posts abilities for non-sub-race and non-android characters, each power-up can be seen instead as a spell/ability/upgrade (SAU) slot for those character types.
1,000 Ki Sense (Magic Sense/Mutant Sense/Cybernetic Detection) Characters with this ability can sense other characters until they acquire the ability to hide their presence. 1,500 Ki Projection (SAU Slot) 2,000 Ki-Induced Flight (SAU Slot) 2,500 Telepathy (Not for Android (and possibly not for Cyborg if the Cyborg’s brain was replaced with machine) A brain is required to use this skill.) 3,000 Warp (This is not instant transmission, this is the ability to appear behind your enemy in an instant. This is a burst of speed made at a short distance. For Magi, Mutant, Cyborg, and Android, this is a literal warp or teleport caused by magic, mutation, or technology)
From here to 5,000, every 500 points will be an open slot for technique or SAU
5,000Hide Ki (Hide Magic Presence/Hide Mutant Presence/Hide Detection) –With this ability, players can literally have their characters’ power levels hidden from the CS so that no new players, other players, or even NPC enemies with Scouters will know their character’s power level. You must continue to keep track of your characters’ power level though. If you lose track, and you lose points as a consequence because you forgot or lost where you put the power level, then sorry. Disclaimer: Honestly, as the GM, I will be keeping track of everyone's Power Levels. If you don't keep track of your own, then I won't tell you where it's supposed to be unless you're trying to claim its higher than what it really is. So take responsibility for your creation please.
From here to 9,000, every 1000 points will be an open slot for technique or SAU
9,000 Read Movement – With this ability, your character is able to see the movements of those characters at least 3,000 points above, equal to, or below his or her power level. Most average beings cannot see the movements of the super fighters because in actuality they are moving too fast for their minds or even processors to be able to keep up. 10,000 Petrifying Aura (Not for Cyborg or Android) – With this ability, your character can petrify other characters or enemies 4,000 points below and lower than his or her power level with their mere presence. Using this ability, the enemies can sense your character is powerful, and if your character has Hide Ki, then they don’t know how powerful. If you do not have Hide Ki (or the other hide variants), then they will be able to scout your character’s power level. However, if they attempt to do so, your power level is over 9,000! The scouter will instantly be destroyed. Even with Hide Ki, if an enemy attempts to scout your character’s power level, the scouter will burst.)
No more TECH-SAU slots are given at this point.
15,000 False Power Level – With this ability, you can post a false power level in your character’s CS to fool other players or even enemies. Unfortunately, the power level can only be below what your character’s power level actually is so be careful if you are a Hide Ki user. You could accidently give your character’s power level away. This trick can also be used to confuse NPC enemies to include Mini Bosses and Bosses.
No more TECH-SAU slots are given at this point.
50,000 False Super Form – With this ability, your character can transcend to a super form that doesn’t transform the character. Similar to Goku’s Kaioken ability, this ability allows your character to increase his or her power level by a maximum of 10 times, so (Your Power Level x 10 = New Power Level). Because this transformation has severe consequences after such as muscle damage, meltdown, severe exhaustion, etc. Characters must be mindful of the frequency of use and when to use it for this ability will put him or her out of a fight. Characters only get 1 Use. This is not per battle. This is 1 Use only until the Saga ends. If there are two battles in the Saga and your character uses it in the first battle, then he or she will be bedridden and out for the second battle until the completion of the saga. Yes, it is an imperfect form and therefore, there are consequences for a form that’s rushed and not fully developed.
No more TECH-SAU slots are given at this point.
100,000 Super Form – With this ability, your character can transcend to a super form of your making. If you are playing a Saiyan, then it’s obvious that this will be the Super Saiyan form. If you are not playing a Saiyan, then you can customize this form. This form once achieved raises your character’s power level by a whopping 50 times! [Your character’s power level x 50]. Characters only get 1 Use. While this form doesn’t wear and tear your character like the false form, it does exhaust your character from using it a second time. Same situation. If there are 2 or 3 battles in a saga and you already used your first use, then you can’t use it again for the remainder of the saga. However, unlike the False Super Form ability, your character can continue on in other battles, they just can't use the Super Form until the conclusion of the Sage. At the conclusion of a saga, "Use" resets.
No more TECH-SAU or even shop abilities at this point. We will see if the game even makes it to this point.
Well, if you guys want to get a headstart since the OP is the OOC, then feel free to work on a CS. I'll post up the game when I get about 5 CSes. I shall be posting the Power Level Shop soon.
I'm also adding these categories to the CS: Gender, Personality, Background, and Occupation. Because I completely forgot those categories for some reason, but this is why the recruitment thread exists so I can fix any issues now before we go live lol.
This is a role play based in the Dragon Ball Universe. There are certain aspects of the DBU that will be highly-manipulated for the sake of making this a workable RP idea. If while you are reading over this game, you decide that you are not interested, then please move on and do not cause any drama. This will be an original universe. All canon characters from the manga and series do not exist. In this DBU world, the story will revolve around what we make of it. This game will have elements of sandbox with a GM-led plot. It is highly-encouraged for players to interact and write together in order to make a nice story.
I do not plan for this game to move that fast. I expect the game to move leisurely. If you are expecting a rapid-fire game, then move along. Do not join this game because it will move in a patient manner not to exceed two weeks of inactivity. Players have 14 days to get in contact with the GM if they haven’t told the GM already about their absences. A player who hasn’t posted in 30 days will automatically be dropped from the game.
In this DBU game, as a GM, I am hoping to see some creative ideas within the limitations provided by my game. As with the DB franchise, the combat in this game will be important and players will be rewarded for participating in such scenarios. If your combat writing is poor, then you can expect it to get better in this game. While most of the combat encounters will be PVE, there will be opportunities for PVP. Players do not have to participate in PVP, but those who do will be rewarded. The PVP will not be PVP for the sake of PVP but will come around during specific plotlines in the story. I just gave you the run-down of the entire game and how it will go. If you’ve made it this far, continue on to learn more.
Setting
The planet is Fictional Earth (Dragon World), but this is an alternate universe of DBU. While all the events originally took place in Universe 7, our Universe is Parallel Universe 7 (reverse 7). In this universe, Planet Vegeta still exists and has not been blown to pieces. This universe is a clean plate, so whatever happens, happens and becomes a part of this universe’s history. Earth is modern-futuristic with its technology. Flying vehicles, robots, and compact-space technology exist; and space travel is possible though not common. Earth currently is very xenophobic and very few people who are sane or not in such a field of study believe that aliens exist or that there is even life in outerspace.
The continent in which this game exists is unnamed in the series, but for this game we’re going to call it “Kujira,” which is Japanese for “whale.” The map is oddly in the shape of a whale, and so therefore, that is the name. Below is a map created by a DeviantArt artist, and it will be the map used in this game. All canon references can be ignored. However, use this for reference for your character’s origin story.
Races
Below I am listing only the major races allowed in this game. If you do not see a certain race in this game, then it is not permitted. OC races are not allowed in this game.
Earthlings
Humans: Humans are the dominant race in Kujira. Unlike how they are depicted in the DB franchise, in this game, humans stand as much of a chance as Saiyans. However, what separates a superhuman from an average human in this world is their martial arts. Martial artists possess a higher level of ki and have the discipline to transcend to a much stronger level. Other sub-races included in the human category are: magi, cyborgs, mutants, and bio-engineered humans. These sub-races may have unique qualities such as weapon programs, supernatural abilities, and magic.
Magi only grow stronger by learning new spells. Magi are incapable of sensing/using ki. Instead, magi are capable of sensing magic and paranormal occurrences caused by another magi tampering with magic.
Cyborgs only grow stronger by acquiring weapon upgrades, which they can only acquire from a scientist or engineer, thus making them dependent on such a character existing in game. They are not able to use ki. They cannot sense ki naturally and instead will have to acquire the ability by a special program.
Mutants are limited by their mutation. The ability their mutation granted them is the only ability that will grow stronger. Mutants are not martial artists. They focus on developing their mutant ability. They cannot sense ki, but they can sense other mutants.
Bio-Engineered Humans these are humans who were either artificially created through genetic engineering or had genetic engineering performed on their bodies. These humans are naturally above average and are created/designed for a purpose. They are often seen bound to a government agency. Similar to Cyborgs, these humans can only advance in strength by undergoing experimentation. Therefore, their creator must be a character in the game.
Clarification: The sub-race of Human are an option. Players can play normal humans, but if you want your normal human to stand a chance in this game, then he or she must know a martial art. The martial art can be completely made-up or inspired by an actual martial art. If you are planning to make a hybrid style of multiple martial arts, instead of listing the martial art styles, just make an original martial art. Spare us.
Beastmen: Beastmen are animals except for insects and mythical animals. Dinosaurs exist on Kujira just as normal animals exist. The Beastmen are a race who are anthropomorphic mammals and reptiles, and can be dinomen as well. The Dragon class or any mythical species does not naturally exist on Earth, and instead, is treated as a foreign species. It can also be treated as a summoned creature by a Magi. I am willing to twist some things for those who wish to have a dragon Beastman or some other mythic Beastmen—however, there will be a very hard limit on these types. Like humans, there can be cyborg, mutant, and bio-engineered beastmen. Beastmen possess the qualities of the animal whose appearance they mimic, which makes them naturally above the average human. For a normal beastman (non-subrace Beastman) to be above the average beastman, the beastman would have to be a martial artist.
Androids: Androids are a common sight mostly around populated cities. They perform several services such as cleaning, building, travel guide, interpreter, etc. They are even programmed to serve defense purposes such as assisting police officers in stopping crime or the military in combating terrorists. The artificial intelligence (A.I.) of an android can be as advanced as they are capable of human-like emotion or as simplistic as basic computation. The human or beastman types are very rare for they require tons of money and resources to create. These machines are rarely seen and if they do exist, very few people can tell them apart from anyone else. Androids can function without a creator, however, if they wish to advance in power, then they need an engineer who will grant them such enhancements.
Aliens
The races found in this category are highly limited and highly competitive as you will see with numbers next to them. The reason why is because we don’t need 10 Saiyans, 10 Half-Saiyans, 10 Cloned Saiyans, or any BS like that in this game. We also don’t need 15 Namekians. Not all alien races are listed here. Why? Because they are not permitted in this game. If you don’t like that, then do not join. This does not mean you won't see these alien races in the game, it just means they are not playable.
Saiyans (0/2): This race is restricted to one male Saiyan and one female Saiyan. This is not first-come, first-serve. I will be awarding this class to those players who actually read this game, understand it, and who can write the best-fit CS. Note: I did not say the best CS. You may write a damn good CS and just not get picked. It doesn’t mean you’re a bad writer it just means that I did not choose your concept. For now, the restriction is 2, but if we get a lot of players, then I will increase it by 1 for every 5 players who join the game. This does not include the initial 5 players. This includes any 5 extra players after the initial 5 who join. The only sub-race I’ll allow of the Saiyan race is a Half-Saiyan/Half-Human. If you do plan to make a Half-Saiyan/Half-Human, then I expect an explanation to be in your character’s origin story seeing as Planet Vegeta exists and the Saiyans are a conqueror race. [Race Reference: Saiyans]
Namekians (0/2): All the Namekians resemble males, and they reproduce asexually. I am not going to write a race description for them. You can read about them here. [Race Reference: Namekian]
This is a summary of the first saga of the game. Players can sandbox and will be able to see this plot gradually unfold as they play.
Mayor Nicholas Budds is the newly elected mayor of Central Capital (refer to the map). As he promised during his election, Mayor Budds said he would clean up the crime that has been increasing in the city. His solution to the problem was to subjugate the entire city under an army of robots known as “Budd Bots” or “Budds” among the citizens. These Budds are programmed to arrest anybody who their scanners recognize to be a threat. Their scanners aren’t perfect. A citizen holding a knife at a restaurant could be scanned and arrested for wielding a violent weapon. A citizen speeding through the streets in their vehicle could be arrested for not only reckless driving but endangering the lives of citizens. A mother spanking her child could be arrested for child abuse. The citizens of Central Capital go about their day in fear, afraid to even speak for fear of saying something that might be deemed a threat. As citizens start to go missing and become replaced by robots, our heroes grow suspicious of a fouler plot.
PVE & PVP
This section will explain combat etiquette for both PVE & PVP. If you are to engage in combat with GM-controlled NPCs (PVE) or another player (PVP), there is a very simple etiquette to use. The GM will not control all minions. The GM only controls mini-bosses and bosses, so if you are ever thrown into a GM-situation with multiple minions, you, the player is free to dictate their demise. However, if you are engaging a named GM-controlled mini-boss or boss, then there are some simple rules to follow:
1. Never Auto-Attack a Mini-Boss/Boss or Another Player. As mentioned above, minions are free game. However, mini-bosses/bosses and other players are not. When you are writing an attack toward a MB/B or player character, you must not complete the attack by writing the results. Here is an example:
Bob ran toward Suzie, swung with a right hook for her jaw, and shattered her jaw with his fist. Bob then quickly ran away before she could fight back.
The post above is garbage. Do not write this garbage in my game. Do not ever dictate what happens to another player’s character or my bosses. You do not know how that player will react or if your attack will even hit. Now below, is the correct way to write an action:
Bob ran toward Suzie and swung with a right hook for her jaw.
This post leaves the outcome open to be dictated by the other player. Your goal in a PVP match is to force your opponent into a corner like chess. You can do this merely by challenging their attention to detail. If they swing at you with their right fist, but you react to their left fist by mistake, and it wasn’t their left fist attacking, then you gave your opponent a hit.
This leads us to the next discussion.
2. There are only a certain amount of actions you can perform in a single turn.
You can either write an attack and a defensive move, two attack moves, or one to two defense moves. I will give an example of two.
Attack-Defense: Bob carefully stepped toward Suzie. His right arm was curled at the elbow, fist clenched at cheekbone level in a guard (defense). His left fist jabbed outwards toward her mouth, fist rotating to deliver his full force behind it (attack). Explanation: In Attack-Defense, your character not only attacks but sets up a defense in the case of a counter.
Attack-Attack: Bob hopped a foot toward Suzie, his right leg rising and tucking at hip level before it thrust out, sending his foot toward her gut. His right foot then quickly retracted, his right leg curling before he thrust it out once more, sending his foot toward Suzie’s chin. Explanation:In Attack-Attack, the character sacrifices his or her defense in order to execute two attacks in what is deemed a “chain.” A chain is tricky and should only be used as a finisher or if there’s an opportunity to take the advantage, say if an opponent is stunned or disoriented. A healthy opponent can break the chain by reacting to the first attack, which will nullify the second attack ever happening. Here’s an example of that:
Chain Break: Suzie pivoted on her right-foot and turned outward and sideways to Bob. Her left hand snagged his right ankle and the palm of her right hand thrust toward his kneecap with enough force to possibly break it. Explanation:Suzie never responds to Bob’s second attack because it never happened. Because Suzie reacted to the first attack, the second attack was nullified for Bob’s writer had implied that the following motion would have happened if his initial attack had been successful and not hindered. Suzie’s counter will more than likely be a hit for Bob didn’t set up any defenses to counter it. What Suzie used to counter Bob was Attack-Defense. Suzie also mentioned the intended strength of her strike, but didn't compromise her intentions by saying the assault, fore sure, happened.
Defense-Defense: Now a defensive move can be an evasion (dodge motions: side-step, duck, pivot, lean, dip, step-back, dive, etc.), a grab, or a stance. Defense-Defense is usually performed when a fighter is blocking the barrage of another fighter, when a fighter is being overwhelmed, when a fighter is trying to open his opponent’s guard, or when a fighter is trying to tire out his or her opponent. I will not give an example of this technique for it is pretty self-explanatory. For the example of a grab, refer to the “Chain Break” example.
3. A “grab” is a free move. Because a grab is non-lethal, it is a free move. Refer to the “Chain Break” example. When Suzie grabbed Bob’s ankle, the grab was not the attack. The grab did not cause him harm. The grab instead held him in a position where she would have an advantage. A grab can be countered just like Bob’s kick was countered in Suzie’s post. A fighter can logically counter a grab with a grab of their own and get into this grab, counter-grab, hand battle. A grab will not be considered an attack, but it is considered a defensive move. It may seem like an auto-attack because the writer has to write their character successfully grabbing the other opponent in order for the next move to make sense, but it’s not an auto-attack.
4. Chaining Moves. Chaining or Combos are a very advanced form of fighting. When you create chains such as Defense-Attack-Attack or Defense-Defense-Attack or longer, you risk the opponent breaking that chain somewhere. However, it can also be used to your advantage because it forces the opponent to focus and pay attention to each of your character's movements in order to logically break the chain. The chain will either be successfully broken or the opponent will miss a detail and fail, causing the combo to succeed. A chain break doesn't always cause a consequence, but there can be a consequence. As you get more comfortable with text combat, feel free to try using combos. Sometimes it makes for a very epic fight.
5. The GM and Co-GMs will be judging the PVP matches. I do not care too much about PVE as I do PVP. I recommend players go into PM or our discord chat and talk out the match prior to attempting it. If players cannot decide on a winner beforehand, then one will definitely be decided in game when they do a blind fight. A blind fight being when neither player knows who the winner will be. What the GM and Co-GMs decide is final. The GM is the main judge you have to win. The Co-GMs say one thing, but if the GM says something else then that will be a win or lose for you. Understand this rule. What the GM and Co-GM decides goes. If you do not think you will be able to agree with this ruling, then do not join this game. I do not tolerate drama.
Power Level
Disclaimer: Power Level is a big deal in this game, and I know that some sub-races are unable to detect it without certain spells, programs, enhancements, etc. See Power Level as a ranking in this game to tell you how powerful a character is.
A power level system exists in this game. Power level can be increased as a cash-out after every mini-boss/boss fight. It can also be increased in spars between characters. The largest cash-outs are for defeating Saga Bosses and winning tournaments. The power level system may become unfair to any player joining the game months-late or even a year-late. I reward longevity. The writers who enjoy this game, who join from the get-go, and who are in this game until it perishes with the GM or Co-GM who tries to pick it up in my absence, they deserve to be rewarded. There are too many players on this site who join games and then immediately bail from the game for random and mostly selfish reasons. If an IRL situation requires you to go absent, then you are always welcomed back once the situation is resolved. If you leave the game because you joined too many games or you realize that the writing level of this game is more than you can handle, then these situations are easy to figure out before deciding to commit. Any who, long-story short, I reward veteran RPers. The writers who join this game now will have the strongest characters in the game in the long-run. Any new players who join months and years later will have to be mentored by the veterans in order to catch up.
In this game, every character will start at power level 910. As your power level increases, you will be able to purchase techniques and technique slots for your character. Some of the techniques are basic and effective techniques. Others just give you a technique slot to use. If you are playing a magi, cyborg, android, mutant, etc. See these as program or ability slots.
Later as your character levels and receives their first “transformation” players will be able to customize a super form for themselves, which will be limited by a frequency per battle. If there are two battles within a Saga and you already used the transformation in the first battle, then you won't be able to use it in the second battle. That is what I mean by frequency.
For every 4,000 points a character’s power level is above another that character will seem invulnerable. To better clarify, if Player A’s Character is power level 1,000 and they are fighting Player B’s Character who is power level 5,000, then Player A better go find some help before he/she attempts to fight Player B. Player A would not be able to effectively solo Player B.
Later, I will post the Power Level Shop so that players can see what basic moves they can purchase for their characters. Proceed to “Character Creation.”
Character Creation
Feel free to utilize these two links for character sheet decoration. 1001fonts for fonts that you can right click, “Copy Image Link” and use an image code to stylize your sheets. You can use this link HTML Color Codes for color codes not offered on this website. Simply enter the code the same way it appears in a color code.
Character Information
Character Name
This is your character’s First Name and Last Name. You can also include a Nickname here. Example: Joseph “Joe” Bomer.
Alias
Not all characters have to have an alias. It’s just here for those characters who their writers feel would have one. Your character can always acquire one naturally in game.
Age
10-18+
Race
Specify race.
Sub-Race
If your character has a sub-race.
Gender
Male, Female, or Agender.
Occupation
What is your character's job? If they even have a job.
Height
4’0” – 6’4” (unless you can PM me and tell me why your character needs to be taller)
Weight
80-100+ lbs
Hair Color
Any color of the rainbow. This is a fictional game after all. You can mention highlights here as well.
Eye Color
Any color of the rainbow. This is a fictional game after all.
Visual Appearance
Avoid posting pictures of famous anime characters. I do not want to see One Piece characters, Naruto, Bleach, etc. I recommend using OC art, drawing your own, and digital art. Real-life photography is not allowed. Also, you do not have to have a picture and it doesn’t have to specifically be in this exact spot in your character sheet. As long as the picture is sized down, you can post it anywhere in the sheet. Do not post a gigantic picture in your CS. I will ignore your CS.
Written Appearance
This is a basic summary of your character’s day-to-day appearance. You can include tattoos, scars, accessories, hair style, etc.
Personality
Just a run-down of the personality: likes, dislikes, combat behavior, and if there he or she has any goals.
Background
The origin story I want to at least be 3 paragraphs.
Weapon & Techniques
Weapon
This is an optional area. I’m sure most people will use their fists, but for those who want a weapon, you are free to have one. You must answer these questions: Length? Weight? Appearance (Visual or Written)? Anything special about it? How many rounds per magazine (only if applicable)?
Power Level
910; everyone starts at this level. EVERYONE!
Techniques
You are allowed only one Technique Slot at this time. With this technique slot, you can write whatever special move in here such as a Ki Projection Move. Whatever move signature to your character. Other moves or technique slots can be purchased in the Power Level Shop (to be posted). If you are role playing a sub-race, then spells (one spell not two spells in one. One spell), mutant ability (you can only pick one and then you must forever stay within that theme. One ability not two abilities in one. One ability.), upgrades, etc. would go here. Everyone starts off with ONE. You will have to earn more.
Rules
1. Do not come to this game to argue. If you read over this recruitment thread, and saw something that you didn't like, then move on. 2. No Enormous Pics/No Neon or Dark Font Colors. There is nothing wrong about using pictures. It’s when you do not size the picture down that it becomes a problem. You can use websites like pixlr or imgur (google them) to size down your pictures before you post them. If you don’t feel like resizing them, then link them or put a hider around them. Avoid using neon colors. They do nothing but hurt the eyes and nobody wants to read neon-font. Avoid somber colors that blend into the already dark background of the site. I should not have to highlight your post in order to read it. It should just be visible to read. 3. Whatever the GM says goes. I try to be fair to the best of my ability. However, I do not try to please the world nor do I care to. If we discuss an issue and we can't seem to come to an agreement, then it is best that the issue be dropped. If you remain persistent and create drama in my game, you will be reported. 4. Read my Game. I did not write this for my health. I wrote this mostly for you than for me. The number one way to get on my shit list is to show me that you didn't read my game. The best way you do this is by frequently asking me questions that are answered in the damn OP. If I suspect you're not thoroughly reading this OP, then I'm going to stop caring and you're not going to be allowed in this game. Why would I allow a person in whose hand I would have to hold throughout the entire game because they don't want to read a freakin' text role play game on a text role play site? 5. GM questions. If you ask a question, mention me. If you're talking to me, mention me. If you want my attention mention me because that is what that button is for. If it looks like I ignored you, 99.9% of the time it is because you didn't mention me and I lost your comment or question in the OOC flood. Mention me. Mention me. Mention me. I have to repeat this because people don't do it. 6. Be open and friendly. I am very big on character interaction. It is often overlooked in games. Please collaborate with other writers in this game. This game will become way more interesting if you do. 7. Romance. I like romance. Some of us do. But if you plan on walking the borderline of the Guild rules, then take it into PMs. 8. Third-Person Past Tense. The only acceptable style of writing in this game is third-person past tense. 9. Have fun. There is only so much I can do as a GM. I cannot make you have fun. I cannot make you enjoy the character that you created. I cannot make you seek out writers to collaborate with. All I do is guide the game and make sure everything goes forward and not backwards. Two Turks who spotted the SOLDIER 2nd Class approaching with her SOLDIERs following behind her stepped from the helicopter and walked toward the white lab coat who had been approaching them. The lab coat stopped, gazing quizzically at the two Turks before he turned around at their indication to see Lapin approaching. The lab coat frowned, and he turned back around briefly to hand the suitcase off to one of the Turks.
“I was given permission by Professor Hojo to deliver the specimen he requests,” the lab coat told her. “You have nothing to worry. This dig is finished. You can go relieve your troops.”
The two SOLDIER 3rd Classes that were facing Lapin stood before her as though they were protecting the lab coat. The Shinra Trooper had a similar posture. The Turks returned inside the helicopter and buckled themselves into their seats. Through black shades, they stared at the scene between the lab coat and the 2nd Class, waiting expectantly for him to join them.
“Now if you’ll excuse me. I have a ride to catch,” the lab coat said dismissively as he turned once more toward the helicopter.
Things took a drastic turn for Gnasty as soon as the Nightstalker was able to shoot out his left eye. The orb popped with a spurt of green blood. The scale barrage immediately ceased as Gnasty dropped his club and roared in pain. He brought his hands to his face as he screamed his agony for the entire room and perhaps the evacuees in the tunnel to hear until in a flash of white, a frosty plume rolled off his form that was suddenly encased in ice. Three shots from Fox’s gun pelted against the ice encasing Gnasty’s face. His meaty hands were in the way, however. The six energy balls that slammed into Gnasty’s waist shattered the ice around him and caused the Gnorc to stagger about in a brain-freeze daze. The ogre grunted and saw only a blur of Fox that he wildly and clumsily swung his massive fists at. Fox’s slingshot drill of a retaliation cracked a few ribs and knocked the gargantuan beast back. As he collapsed toward the floor, a few more shots from Naija struck him as he shook the underground with his landing.
Gnasty Gnorc was sprawled on his back coughing up dark-green blood and growling in his pain. His ribs realigned and his left eye billowed back into existence, causing his eyelid to swell outwards. The Gnorc coughed up a few more spurts of blood that sprayed from between his tusks and drenched his chin. His red eyes then finally opened, staring furiously up at the ceiling as Naija mouthed her childish taunts. The heroes were stronger than what had been reported. They also were more organized than what the reports had stated they would be. His units were decimated. The mission was a failure, and if he stayed, he would only get killed.
In that moment, the Gnorc did what he knew how to do best. It was his ultimate technique and last resort method. Sitting upwards, the colossus rolled to the side, rose to his feet, and ran. The speed that the Gnorc ran defied any logic, law, and theory for a creature of his size. Desperately, the Gnasty charged back through the hole he had come from with his army and ran toward the subway tracks that would take him back to the surface.
The mission was a gnorcing failure. The boss is gonna kill me, Gnasty thought. Behind him, red lights started to flash, causing the ogre to slow in his run and glance back up the subway tunnel. He saw two railroad crossing signs suddenly behind him with their red and white guard posts lowered. “What the…” he muttered. Wasn’t the underground metro abandoned? There shouldn’t have been a train. A row of flames appeared along the rails and a distant howl of a train started to grow louder and louder. If Gnasty’s green face could grow pale, it would have as he heard a train but didn’t see it. The ghost train manifested at the last minute, the skeletal face of the Doom Train appearing as it cast its crimson lights on Gnasty Gnorc.
“NO!-”
The Gnorc hadn’t a chance to scream as the train from hell plowed through him, bursting his body into green chunks of meat. It was that time of year again, Halloween was coming to Platform City and along with it came the Doom Train to transport a few lucky warriors to fight one of the Halloween Lords!
The Body Snatcher was grinning away at the panicking civilians and the tantalizing fear they oozed that just made him giggle. The muzzle flash of James’s Imago Loop was able to briefly light up the tunnel to reveal the much larger and grizzly creature that stood hunched over in the tunnel, its black Grinch-like fingers clinging to a sack with vicious teeth. The creature recoiled from the light and the rounds that struck its face. A low and pained grunt was heard from the creature, but once the area was no longer illuminated, its dark giggle could be heard swirling in the darkness:
Hahahaha!
The creature seemed unharmed and a wet slurping noise could be heard as it reached its hand into its monster bag. The light Robin tried to provide to clear the darkness of the tunnel was no illumination spell, flashlight, or torch. It was bright enough to light his individual area, but when he lobbed a thunder spell at the creature, the tunnel lit up from the spell. The Body Snatcher attempted to hide behind its bag when the thunder spell fried the sack, causing it to squirm and screech as though it were alive. The Body Snatcher dropped the sack, its once grin seen more as a frown in the darkness. The creature fled from Robin and James in the direction of the fleeing civilians and Shantae.
While it was on the ground, the bag started to move and soon a hand outstretched from within it. One of the survivors that had been swallowed by the bag crawled out covered in a sticky film that resembled drool with black-colored wounds all over his body instead of red - the color blood normally was. The man was pale and weak, he continued to try and drag himself from the sack begging: “Please…he-help me…help me please.”
It was clear that the man was infected as what resembled black worms slid about beneath his skin. “I don’t wanna die…”
He coughed black mucus on the ground and trembled as the virus continued to crawl wildly beneath his flesh, causing his muscles to swell and shrink as though threatening to mutate him.
Meanwhile, as the first survivors started to climb the steps to the surface, a blockade of several Platform City Soldiers were surrounding the subway entrance. They were all Green Army Men. As soon as the first survivor emerged, smiling in relief upon seeing the army, the green soldiers took aim.
“I’m saved! Please, you got to help us! There’s a monster. There’s a mo-”
“Fire!” the green Army officer ordered.
The soldiers fired, the civilian shook as red blood burst from his T-shirt as human meat and scraps of clothing strewn the pavement. The survivor fell dead, frightening a group of other survivors who had been climbing the steps to turn tail and force their way back down into the subway.
“GET BACK! GET BACK!” the retreating survivors screamed.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING IDIOTS? THERE’S A MONSTER DOWN HERE!”
“THEY’RE SHOOTING US!”
“HEY! MOVE IT! WE NEED TO ESCAPE!”
The steps erupted in chaos with survivors trying to fight their way down and others trying to fight their way up. Innocents were being thrown down the stairs and trampled by survivors hastily trying to escape to the surface. The Body Snatcher had shrunk down to his more discreet form, the Egg Stealer and was trying to weave between the legs of the civilians in order to secretly escape.
XP Initiated!
GM Note: From here on out, all players will be required to keep track of their word count. XP will be awarded every GM post. Be sure to check the XP hider to see how much XP your character earned. Remember to keep your CSes updated. I have seen players slack in keeping their XP up-to-date and they have lost XP points because of it. I didn't take the XP away from them, they just didn't keep track of the XP on their own. It is YOUR responsibility if you want your character to level.
P.O.
If a player is inactive for more than 3 days without letting the GMs know of any delays, then the player can be skipped over on the 4th day. If a player does not wish to post, then they can Mention the GM and let the GM know he or she "Passes" on his or her turn.

It was fun while it lasted but just like any game on here, it doesn't always last as long as you'd want. I had too many key people silently dropping out of the game, and so I believe it's best I focus my creative energy on my larger ones. I really enjoyed this game and RPing with you guys, so it wasn't necessarily a waste. I'm sure I'll see you guys in other games, so ciao. :)

Cloud used the only improvised shield he had, slamming his Buster Sword into the ground and kneeling to take cover behind it. He could hear the scales pinging off the other side of his blade. The Gnorcs began to make a sound that was unlike the sound they normally made, and Cloud turned his head, peering up passed the shoulders of his sword at the beasts the bubbled and billowed into amalgams of flesh and body parts. The moaning creatures started to stretch their elongating limbs toward the heroes until James was quick to react. As a pink tentacle appendage was reaching toward Cloud’s face, the ex-SOLDIER leaned back as far as he could without leaning passed the cover provided by his blade. The void wall grenade detonated, bathing the screeching creatures in purple flames. It caused the Mutant Horror to retract its tentacle with an agonized screech.
James further provided fire, utilizing his sniper rifle to nail Gnasty in his eye. The shot would inevitably stop the infectious scale barrage and Cloud wasn’t going to waste the opportunity. The swordsman swiftly stood to his feet, the floor beneath his boots erupting in oscillating magical power as he faced the monstrous Gnorc and cast Ice. The ice spell would briefly freeze Gnasty Gnorc long enough to allow his veteran teammates to get in some free hits.
The underground then shook, causing Cloud to stumble a little in surprise when the dapper gentleman, Slayer, scattered the Mutant Horrors in an explosive landing. Cloud’s large mako-green eyes regarded the man for a moment. Slayer was apparently more than what he appeared to be. He couldn’t have been human as much as his suit made him seem. With Naija and Fox jumping in to take down Gnasty Gnorc, Cloud figured he would do his part staying out of the veterans’ way and making sure pests like the Mutant Horrors didn’t distract the heroes from completing the mission.
Cloud grasped the hilt of his Buster Sword and pulled the blade from the concrete floor. He twirled it like a windmill before him and then crossed it over and under in an infinite symbol, warming up his arm. The ex-SOLDIER faced the Mutant Horror that had tried to assimilate him. The creature was still burning from the void energy, but new cells were still emerging from the ones that weren’t being incinerated, causing the horror to continue to bud new parts.
“You’re not gonna make this easy, huh?” Cloud muttered.
His other hand joined his grip on the hilt as he held his great sword in the direction of the mutant menace.
“I guess I’ll be the trash man. Someone’s gotta clean up this mess.”
Cloud lunged at the beast, sweeping his blade upwards in a vertical cut up its center. The creature was divided for a moment, but pink ropes of flesh started to latch onto the diverging pieces, drawing them back together like pulled thread. Cloud turned, his sword rising to 12 o’clock before its counterclockwise sweep toward the ground. He brought the blade down and around to slash the creature horizontally, causing the Mutant Horror to diverge in opposite directions before it once again started to heal. The beast grew frustrated, screaming angrily as it thrust its many tentacles at Cloud.
The ex-SOLDIER jumped backward away from the extending limbs, and swiftly dashed to the right, running a circle around the beast much similar to how Naija was circling her own enemy. The limbs were trying to follow, retracting into its body like the eyes of a snail before shooting out to try and grab the blonde swordsman. Cloud took one hand off his blade and clenched his fist as fire erupted beneath his feet. Bolt!
A lance of lightning fired down from the ceiling, materializing out of nowhere to impale the Mutant Horror, causing its gelatinous body to convulse. The lightning sped up its incineration, the creature was beginning to turn black. Bolt! Cloud cast the attack again. The mutant’s body was becoming stiff and burnt—unable to move. Cloud stopped running, no longer needing to. He faced the Mutant Horror and focused for a final time, using the rest of his mana.
“BOLT!”
The third strike turned the creature completely black as it froze in a crispy and smoking statue, the void energy extinguishing. A few beads of sweat had collected on Cloud’s face as his chest rose and fell with deep breaths. If I had to cast another lightning spell… Cloud mused. What a pain that would have been.
Hello all. I am an experienced writer who is writing my own fiction stories on the side. I can role play any genre. What I love most is being able to go-all-out when weaving tales with other writers. It just makes the story more interesting, so I can't wait to write with you. :)
