2. Organically would probably work best but you have to remember that this is a reality TV show; there could be certain things put in place to allow people to vote to put characters together!

Ooo. That's actually a good point. The characters, as well as the 'viewers' could vote for who they think should get together. Basically, shipping. Lol.

But I think it should still be their choice to get together for the 'trials'.

It would also be neat to have voting periods where people can either vote to stay with their current partner, or vote to change.

We could do a singles vacation resort or cruise. That would keep them all in one spot and they are all single, over 18 and good to go.

I'm actually liking this survival idea more and more. But it could also be a sort of resort. I was thinking that there would be challenges and the first couple to complete it gets to stay in the better lodging or something. I'm not sure.

Intro to RP

Welcome to Lunox Island where the exciting new reality TV show is being filmed, Love Survival. Can love survive on this deserted island?

Years ago, a native of the island by the name of Lunox fell in love with a beautiful woman. However, this woman was blind by birth. She could not see Lunox and the wind never carried his voice over the rocky barrier to her so she never heard him either.

One afternoon, Lunox heard rumor of a wishing waterfall near the center of the island where he could wish for her sight back.

When he did, nothing happened. But after weeks of coming to the water and wishing, the spirit had finally had enough of him. She came to the surface and told him. She could return the woman's sight, but she would have to take his in exchange.

Lunox happily agreed, anything to give his love sight, never thinking there could be other ways of accomplishing his goal.

The next morning, Lunox woke without his sight and could not have been happier. He stumbled his way to where he knew she could see him and began waving frantically. However, she never came.

Lunal, as her people called her, was finally able to see her friends and family as well as the man whose voice guided her through her troubles, her childhood friend, Zaln.

When his love never came, Lunox went back to the spirit in the waterfall and asked for an explanation. When she did, he fell to his knees and began sobbing.

"Not all love can prevail on an island such as this, Lunox." She told him, her expression somber.

Still Lunox was happy for the woman he had no name for and he never asked for his sight to return.

Years after Lunox's death, Lunal visited the other side of the island with her children. Ty, the smallest of the children, found a small grave with the words,

"For he so loved her, that he gave his sight so that she could see him."

written on it. For whatever reason, Lunal began to cry. She could never explain it but it was as if her eyes were sad.

The scene ends and the host, Ryan Barnes, appears out of the brush. "They say years later that Lunox's spirit inhabits this island to this day and that if you see him, your love is cursed." He explains with a smirk on his lips. "Will these newly formed couples stand up to Lunox's challenge?"

I'm down. That way it'd be really easy to just say it's a remote island somewhere in the pacific. Lol.

Lol. I don't think naked + romance centered will stay very PG at all. Not that I'm opposed to being a bit more mature, but I would prefer fade to black.

I like the survival idea though. It could lead to a lot of bonding among couples and I can forsee a lot of dramatic shenanigans being pulled by the hosts of the show.

Here's my two cents: what about summer camp? Think maybe rival camps or something all those lines. That would still kind of put them at school age, but they wouldn't actually be at school.

I would be down. Though I think I'd prefer if all the characters were staff unless it was some kind of 'adult' summer camp.

Lol, definitely interested. Been looking for something out of my comfort zone and I NEVER do romance so...

Maybe a mix up plot would be good? Like, a Medieval Fantasy/Romance or Sci-fi/Romance setting.

I actually don't do sci-fi and I'm not particularly in the mood for medieval. I think I'd rather keep it modern.

I'm somewhat interested in this, depending on what the plot will be ^_^!
I like the ideas posted above already, but just another idea to add to the list of options:

- what if we had a reality TV show focused around certain pre-made pairings? the couples wouldn't necessarily have to be in love, but they're doing it for the cameras? In order to not restrict the characters right from the beginning, as I think opinions will change, it's possible for the roleplay to have twists. Person A and person B could be a couple but person A likes someone else from another couple? That'd add drama, haha. it's a pretty loose concept I'm thinking of.
side note: I also happen to prefer college students over high schoolers but there could be a variety of ages on the show?

We might be able to work with that. The summer camp could be the show and then we have our 'adult' camp. So without needing to be staff, the characters could be anywhere from age 18 to like 30+.

Edit: Also, this exploded while I was asleep. Thanks for all the interest and input guys. :)

I would love to do a romance RP but I refuse to do schools and teenagers. It was bad enough being one. :P

I actually prefer college age...

We could simply make it a sort of summer house where people stay and nix the clique idea altogether. But we would still need some sort of defining plot to drive the RP forward.

That's also an idea. The cliques, led by these couples, are so tight and bound from being with anyone other than their own group. Eventually, some thing has to give right?

Or we could go more @Agamous Devout's way and have the romance be the peace between them. The leader of the groups, the student president, in an effort to bring peace develops "arranged relationships" between them. Which could lead to some interesting interactions and drama.

A Peculiar Shift of Events

As the night went on, Carina found herself cold, even laying on the couch in her wolf form.

Still half asleep, the she wolf walked up to Morgan's room and curled up beside the warm body, happy for both the soft bed and the warmth.

She dreamt a lazy dream, something of her old life. Lazy hikes and lady bug dresses. The dream was a rose colored haze, the voices soft and muffled, the faces blurred.

However, one line gave her chills.

"Where on earth could my little bug be?"

Carina, now changed again and naked, squirmed in the bed, shivering and shaking though it was not cold.
