"Ok Bullet, we search this floor for that portal lady. She can't have gone far, she can only cross the world in a single step after all."

Starbright begun walking through the hallway with the Bullet before being stopped by some ugly green guy. Starbright had never seen this man before in his life and frankly looking at him, Starbright didn't care to know him.

The Shocker lifted his hands, lightning sparking around them. "You have the right to remain...ah, fuck that," Frank said, before releasing an electric blast directly at Starbright. "Just die! How about that! Hah! Serves you right, you prettyboy piece of shit!"

Starbright had only just dodged, having a small amount of energy hit his ankle. It burned, it really burned. Starbright dropped to the ground prone before a wide shit eating grin spread across his face. It was almost villainous in appearance. Starbright couldn't help it, when something like this happens it fill him with a deep satisfaction. This green dude clearly had it out for Starbright, when Starbright had completely forgotten him. He was like a fan but from the opposite end, consumed by a hatred for Starbright. It was great.

"So, ummm, like, who are you? I mean you don't look very memorable so I'm not surprised I don't know you. But still, what was your name?" Starbright waited for a response. 'Oh ok, The Shocker huh? Yeah still not ringing any bells but its still very helpful thank you. I'm always happy to meet a fan." The last part was said with his teeth clenched from another waved of pain.

Starbright begun backing off to stay out of range of the green abomination of a man.
'Bullet, quickly give me your phone and unlock it for me."
Then with a Starcraft pro level of 600 apm, Starbright logged into social media and started yet another stream. He had never trained, measured or practiced this skill, it had just developed naturally.

"The Shocker! Noooooo! I can't believe EAGLES got to you too... Try to remember, we were friends back in HERO. How could you not remember that? How could you just attack me like this?" Starbright was playing up the cameras, the people viewing the stream had already reached 10,000 in only a few seconds. "You know I am innocent Shocker. What crime have I, Starbright, committed to be hunted down by EAGLES, huh? Answer me that." There was a lot of dramatic flair to the last part. Emotions were high in the room, none of which were actually real.

As much as he liked the sentiment at the end of his livestream, Starbright could not depend on teenage girls on the internet to be his heroes. Having just kicked the hornets nest with that livestream, he needed something to make sure he leaves the tower alive. Teenage girls on the internet could not secure this for him and the support of that group was extremely volatile so he went for the one option he has depended on his whole life.

Putting on a fake deep voice to disguise his voice he called up multiple tabloids. Hi, you saw that Starbright livestream too right? Might I say he looked awfully dreamy in that and spoke with the voice of an angel... But thats beside my point. I just saw a large group of EAGLES members storm HERO. I think they are going to arrest him, or worse. He hasn't done anything wrong, this could be the story of the century." Of course it would be the story of the millenia, thought Starbright, but keeping a sense of humility was best to keep the call believable. He hung up the phone after that, all he could really do was hope that a hoard of paparazzi outside HERO would limit what EAGLES could do here. Now he just had to wait for Christina and Tom to come back.

It had been a while since they had came back. Starbright had grown very bored and leaned further back on Powers' seat while playing some silly phone game. "Starbright!" Thouroughly startled he almost fell out of his chair before quickly recovering, trying to play it cool. "Yes, yes, I was uh... investigating." Just now looking at the two he remembered both of them, the portal lady and the Bullet. Of course, he would remember the more marketable name above anything else. "Grace, I hadn't got your name earlier at Club 27 a while back. Don't worry about me though, I'm a very cautious person and when it comes to this office I know exactly what I doi..." The alarm went off.

"Shit, oh shit, oh shit, someone must have pulled the alarm." Starbright was deflecting from the fact it was obviously him. But then Grace suggested she go off on her own, "hang on! You aren't going out on your own like that." But by the time he managed to struggle out of his chair she was already gone and the hall was plunged into darkness. "Why didn't you stop her Bullet. Who knows whats out there, lets stick together and catch up with her."

Starbright blindly wandered around the hallway, following the sounds of thuds and portals. But no luck, he hadn't even come close to pinpointing her. But then, for a while... quiet. He had feared the worst. Had EAGLES taken out yet another hero? He didn't care anymore and posed with spectacular fashion, illuminating the hallway. But no luck, there was no sign of her anywhere aside from the unconcious bodies of Beardman and Brightside. After giving a good luck kick to the both to make sure they stayed out cold. "Ok Bullet, EAGLES are here at the 14th floor. We are going to have to fight our way out. If we can get out to the front we will be safe, but I don't feel right leaving that portal lady behind."

Rowan was a morning person, but some days she wished she wasn't. She woke up the same time she always did but with far less sleep. The events of the previous night had been a little crazy to say the least and had done nothing to help her settle down before she slept. She didn't care for the feeling and she would prefer to avoid it. But as she reflected on the people she would be with for the summer, Rowan thought she best get used to this feeling.

There were very few people up and at it went Rowan got out of her tent. Quietly, she went about some morning routine activities, a glass of water, stretching, going into the coven house to shower then most importantly getting out of her pajamas and back into her regular clothes. Stumbling around in pajamas was no way to enter the coven house, especially not on the first day.

Before the final group of campers was rounded up, Rowan saw fit to start setting herself up in the alchemy room. Stepping inside, her heart was warmed by the fact everything was here already. Sitting in the corner were all of her belongings from the greenhouse back home with a single note on the top 'Love, Mum'. But sitting in a room like this made her proud, as if just being within the coven house gave her work some gravitas. Taking off her coat, she rolled up her sleeves and tied her hair into a short neat ponytail, then got to work.

By the end, she had set herself out a bench facing the window. The morning light shone through nicely and it looked as though this spot would keep a good amount of light until the afternoon as well. A pin board leaned against the wall at the back of the bench. Its entire surface was practically covered in a messy assortment of notes, most of which looked (and were) ripped out of a journal in a hurry.

Just off to the left of this pin board was Rowan's box garden. To the untrained eye, it may look rather pleasant. It was a neat wooden box with no overflow of soil, the plants were growing strong and healthy without any taking up space of the other plants, and there was a note on the front 'Property of Rowan: Please don't touch without asking'. All gave no indication to the fused amalgams that garden actually contained, nor the unpredictable and potentially dangerous effects they could have if used without knowledge.

This would be Rowan's place of zen and peace from it all. She had imagined after last night it was going to be much more hectic than just dabbling around with witchcraft in her back yard. At least she would have this to come back to. It only needed one final touch, and that was ceremoniously placing her current journal from her coat into the bench draw. This was a if to say, 'this is my place now.'

The rest of the group had all come in now. Popping her head from out of the alchemy room and down the hall she noticed everyone crowding around the bulletin board. Why was everyone doing that? Maybe she had missed something? She wandered back to the group taking an unintrusive position in the back. "Oh, room assignments" Rowan was excited about who she would room with. All things considered she felt she had met some great people already, some old and some new friends. Any of them would be great to room with... "Oh dear..." she wouldn't be rooming with any of those people. Summer was down right intimidating and after the incident with Kate opening that book Rowan was not so sure about Isolde anymore.

Rowan was in no rush to pack into her room after the news and decided it would be best if she packed in a bit later. Instead she collected her pancakes and returned to the alchemy room. There was always more she could do to set up after all... Not really but she was going to eat over there anyway.

Starbright made sure to laugh with great malice as the washed up models' tweedle dumb and tweedle Dee slammed into each and down to the ground. "Oooh, that looked like it really hurt. Next time you should just take the money buddy." He made sure to pat Illuminator a couple of times on the head condescendingly before he left. It's not like Starbright was ever going to actually keep his word for villainous scum like him, but he didn't need to know that.

As they rode up the elevator Starbright had half a mind to answer some of the questions. Something along the lines of '8 pack actually, I had considered going for 10 however it just didn't suit me so well.' However, he could already tell the two were not all that warm to him. Adding the fact that he didn't actually do anything in the previous fight, him giving away their location like that would probably be the final straw. Understandable.

It was in Christina's office that he finally got his task, rial up the people against EAGLES. This would be easy, even if he couldn't produce the footage. Just the mere accusation coming from his star power would be enough turn half the city against him, hell even the world. But he wasn't quite sure about the location though, Power's office would be so much better for this. So he waited for those two to leave before sneaking over, while he waited he may as well look at her private shit. But it was all very boring. When someone says not to snoop around in their personal stuff it's because there is actually something to see. He only looked a few pictures before giving a big yawn. Well now that they were out of earshot, it was time to kick a door down. Starbright stood in front of the closed door to Hugo Powers' office, he didn't even care to check if it was unlocked before kicking it down with all his force. Perfect the stage was set and just time to get the water works going.

The many, many viewers of this livestream were met with a Starbright in tears. Not sobbing like the last time but more of a depressed expression. "I'm going to be honest with all my fans right now. I have now where to go anymore, my back is against the wall and there is no one to help me. I wanted to try my best to believe that despite me being discluded from EAGLES, they could still be good for this city. But earlier tonight, they attempted to kidnap me in my home or even worse kill me. I only just escaped with my life and I came back to the only place I have left to feel safe." Starbright turned the camera from focus on his face to a shot of the front of Hugo Powers' office, the door had been kicked in and it looked like a mess inside. "EAGLES even took that from me. I think I found out why I couldn't find Powers' for an interview, he clearly wasn't as lucky as me. But it's only a matter of time I need to start running again, I can't let them find me. If I make it through this, it's all because of you fans. You all have been my heroes throug this." Starbright hung up the livestream. Wiping his eyes he took the oppurtunity to sit in the throne for a bit. Laying back on Powers'chair, arms behind his head and feet kicked up on the table. He was proud of the livestream it was short, punchy and reached millions of people. Now all he had to do was wait for Christina to come back down and yell at him to get out of this seat.

Starbright couldn't help but laugh at the suggestion Seraph could avoid the footage. "Ha ha ha, as if anyone is going to forget the kidnapping of America's sweetheart." Referring to himself. "Yes he might get away with it if it were one of you normal people but I'm a star in the height of my popularity. Either way, its not like I can release it at the moment you didn't let me grab my phone before 'forcefully rescuing' me. So it should release in about 3 days from now. If we fail in your plan that's our back up." As the helicopter landed, he didn't comment on the suggestion he would become the most popular hero if this was a success. He simply stretched out of his relaxed position, "you did save me though, so I will help you out with your plans."

Without even saying anything on the matter, Starbright got an earful about keeping it confidential. "Oh my lips are sealed." He said in a way to worry Christina the most. Of course he wouldn't actually tell anyone but he started to get the idea he would enjoy teasing her, much like Patty. After that he thoroughly inspected the bin before getting in. As in like a minute of looking at every part of it to make sure it was clean. Even then Starbright swore he was pushed by Tom before he actually went down.

Was Starbright not supposed to get a little weirded out that HERO was keeping back up plans to take everyone out? Because that is exactly what he felt. It gave him a sense of unease to it all. His own contingency plan was horrific, changing his appearance would do so much worse than just killing him. At least if he died beautiful he would be able to be a martyr, him looking average to freakish would just make him nothing. But he got a laugh when he saw Patty's one. "Hey, its not called plagiarism if the product 'never existed' right? I wouldn't mind this Anti-Noise thing for a bit of self protection against her. She ain't a murderer like Seraph's saying but that doesn't mean she is an angel by any means." As they carried on down he accepted the sponges given to him, but some part of him really wanted the dart gun for Seraph. It wasn't his place to make genuine demands though, teasing around was fine but when it came down to actual fighting it was best he just listened.

"Oh my god! Is that Perfect Physique? More like saggy physique, am I right? Ha ha ha, you remember that right? About two years ago? Kind of ended your career, good times, good times." After Starbright's relentless teasing he saw the match ups form, he was against bulb boy. But Starbright would like to think he is smarter than that. After the fight with the leftovers a good few months ago, he can recognize an opponent that draws power from his and he wasn't going to stupidly blast at him like the Starbright of the past would do. "Look, Bulb Bongo or whatever right? Here's the deal all I have to do is stall you long enough for Christina over there to absolutely demolish your Australian friend and then its only a matter of time before she comes over to put the lights out on you. Frankly, I would just hate to see it. As you may or may not know I have a fondness for light powers, and I would love to see you shine more in future. EAGLES doesn't really have a future left. So that being said, how much money do you want to join my friend over there" pointing at Tom "and gang up on super sag instead. I'm sure I can make it much more worth your while than EAGLES ever will."

Edit: Will probably pull out I think I misunderstood this RP for a more standard vampire hunting things. Best of luck with it though.
I'm interested but I'll see if my concept gets the go ahead first.

So I was thinking of my character originating from the deepest parts of Russia. The concept being that the winters of that part have very little sun to begin with, so every winter the vampires would come in small numbers for feeding. Not enough to alert the rest of the world. (Inspired by 30 Days of Night.) A few families tried resisting, but resistance meant more lives taken. Still, with persistence they were able to take down a some over the years the old fashion way, destroying the heart.

My character would try to replicate his approach in reverence of his towns history. Using a Crimson Arm flamethrower to weaken the vampires then use a blade for the heart. I also envision him in something similar to a Warhammer Space Marine get up to content with their super strength a little bit better.

I would also say I would prefer my character be 18 at least, because of the dark and likely violent nature of the story. Either way let me know if the concept seems alright for your story.
Could be interested.

Though I would like some more detail on what Crimson Arms are, are they just guns or more? Also how do the vampires react to fire?

Noticing the woman drop from his ceiling, he was initially shocked. But then he reverted to the regular Starbright playfulness. "Hey look you're on TV." Pointing toward the news story. "But if you were really a hero you would at least have the respect to kno..." He was interrupted as he was getting grabbed, immediately he put on an overblown act as if he was being hurt. This only stopped as the two were just above the ceiling, smiling smugly toward her. "How did you know I like it when women are pushy." He teased hoping to catch her off guard.

But as the star lay back in the bay of the helicopter, he listened to Tom explain what was happening. "So you put a hole in my roof and kidnapped me because you are on my side and want to help? I was joking at first but next time please just knock." He gave of a short laugh before continuing. "Either way, this all worked out well enough. You see I watched a movie a few years ago called the Truman Show. I thought to myself, how could someone who looks so... average get a show like that. It just didn't make sense, so I had a camera system set up all around my house. With EAGLES coming to power, I decided to convert it into a security system and the footage of my 'kidnapping' should be released upon my disappearance or death."

"It should give me some good leeway with Seraph given your association with him and the footage's capability to take down EAGLES. So unless you two have a better plan, I'll be going with my own. You don't mind a bit of jail time do you? I'm sure HERO will be able to get you back out after the fact."

"Rowie, you're very optimistic and all, but you know as well as I do that Summer Abernathy is never, ever going to forget this," Dakota said with a serious face. "She started this war, and she's going to see it through to the end. And anybody who has ever gone to war with Dakota Lawson knows that it does not end well..."

I guess it was a little optimistic, Rowan thought. She knew Summer was the type to hold a grudge. But Rowan had hoped now that they were all fully fledged witches that everyone could just resolve their problems like magic. But that doesn't happen in the real world, just because everyone linked to the wellspring doesn't mean we all handle our problems like adults, merely the ability to be dangerous like adults. Maybe the wellspring be the solution to everyone's problems like Rowan had first thought.

Not that Rowan could blame Dakota, she would probably have done the same in her position. It is a lot easier to sit back and state that peace is the right approach, but Rowan wasn't the one who got blinded and her pet threatened. All she could really do in the end was sit back and hope it worked itself out. It would take someone who is a lot better with people than me to work this one out, Rowan thought to herself, clearly not confident in her ability to solve this if it was even her place to do so.

"Night, y'all." Rowan shook her head a bit and blinked somewhat frequently as if coming out of a daze. She had lost herself in that trail of thought. But it was best she went back closer to the campfire to let Kota and Cal sleep. "Uh yeah good night."

Rowan didn't have an appetite so she hadn't partaken in the classic camping art of s'more making. She just sat around the fire, waiting for everyone to come back. The woods at night can be pretty dangerous and its easy to get lost. It was best she just wait a while, to make sure the whole group is safe. Then she would be just about ready to knock out, it has been a long day.
