Bio

So... Bio's are a thing now. Fancy.

Anywho!
25 y/o guy, currently student and living by myself, yada yada.

Veteran Roleplayer, with over 7-8 years of experience in both Pen & Paper and text based, with minimal LARP Experience. I have a great interest in fantasy settings and tends to dislike Post Apocalypse, or generally anything involving guns and modern weaponry. Gimme a sword and the ability to throw fire, and I'm happy.

I have relatively high standards and find myself somewhat disappointed if my posts are below 500 words, preferring ~1000+ whenever possible (sadly, not always easy). At the same time I expect similar standards from my fellow players. I also have a tendency to play female characters in spite of my being a guy, mainly because I find it more entertaining than playing the big burly guy.

I think the way my character (Lucie) uses her the talents will be quite different from the other guy ^^ But it doesn't bother me that my character isn't entirely original in that fashion. It's simply the one I've found that fits best. I've made a more detailed description in the character sheet, but it's still a WIP. Might be up later, or tomorrow.

Nice ^^ That's good to hear.

I was thinking of Psychometry

But perhaps with a few changes to it. When it comes to objects, I was thinking of her gaining information about it by concentrating on a given person, and thus get information about something of theirs (using "keywords". So my character thinks about "Valuable" and she gets information about something the person in question places great value upon, or any other keyword. Essentially gaining information about items she doesn't necessarily know anything about before that moment). When it comes to getting information about people I'd still say she needs to touch the person, but to get knowledge about items of theirs she can use the "Keyword" thing.

Is that okay with you? :)
This... is an interesting one.

Is it still open? (judging by the previous post just 13 minutes ago I'd wager a guess, but I'd rather be safe than sorry^^)

I also have a few questions

1 - Is there a criminal underworld?`
2 - Exactly what is the nature of psychic abilities? I would also like a bit more clarification on what they can be, and if we are only humans (you mention Dracula/vampires and such in the beginning, which makes be a tiny bit uncertain)
3 - I understand that we are members of the Society that the head of House Ianus established?
4 - Will he accept former law-breakers (thieves, burglars, etc.) if they put their past behind them and put their skills to "good use"?
5 - (final one, I think) What exactly does a "Mystery" entail? You give us a lot of background information for the setting, but not so much about what the RP's supposed to be centered about. I'd like a bit of clarification on that one.

I'm sorry for being such a boore and asking so many questions, but I hope you'll survive :D If not, then I apologize for ruining to Rp by killing the Gm with questions <.<
Has anyone heard from Gnar lately? o_O

The roaring of a motorcycle stopped a short distance from the city limits of Russelgrad, known as Russell City the last time its rider had visited. The rider shut off the engine and stepped off, eyes covered by tinted riding goggles gazing up at the tall buildings. Though nothing like the hundred metre buildings she’d read existed before The Fall, but still enough to inspire awe in the her.

The rider was a young woman, by the looks of it, wearing a set of tight jeans and t-shirts which did little to hide her envious figure. Her hair was the colour of fire and held in a high ponytail, cascading down to her waist; past her posterior if she let it simply hand.

She exhaled a sigh and readjusted the bag she carried, tightening one strap before she started pulling her vehicle into the city proper, heading for whatever place was nearest where she could let her motorcycle be. Luckily it was only a short five minutes before she found something akin to a stables. A light eyebrow as red as her hair rose behind her goggles, displaying her surprise at finding someone who profited from people letting their vehicles stay.

Guess I shouldn’t be surprised. World of travellers like me… Gotta need a place to let our stuff be. She shrugged and pulled the bike closer, catching the eye of a thickset man in flowing garments meant to keep the sun out, but keep him cool; the kind of clothes just about everyone should be wearing in the desert-like sun. That is, except for people like the Rider. Evidently the man noticed that too, as his eyebrows rose in confusion and surprise when he noticed her lack of sleeves once his initial leer had run its cause up and down her body.

“Ye’re scantily clad for this weather, aren’t ya, girl?” He asked, placing his fists on his hips, pushing his chest—and round belly—out.

She cocked her head, then glanced down at her exposed arms as if surprised. When she looked up again she bore a wry smile on her lips. “It seems like that, doesn’t it?” She shook her head, and said, “I just need to have my bike stationed here for a while. How much is it for a day?”

The stablehand shrugged at her mock-innocent answer, opting to ignore it in favour of the prospect of business. “1 coins for twenty four hours, 2 for forty eight, and 2½ for seventy two hours. How long’ll it be, miss?”

Though the way he said ‘miss’ was the kind of laid-back, respectless way of saying it, the Rider took it as a legitimate honorific regardless. “Let’s say three days for now.” She dug into her backpack, fishing out a small handful of golden coins with a well-known face on it, and handed them to the Stablehand. “This should do, and an extra one for the certainty that my equipment is well taken care of, and secured?” She flashed him a smile, letting her lips part just enough to reveal her elongated canines, betraying a small bit of her identity.

The Stablehand gaped at her teeth, pointing a finger at her as he started to stammer. She grasped her goggles, lifted them enough to reveal her otherworldly green, and slitted, eyes, all the while bringing a finger to her lips. “Sssh. It’s our little secret, right?” She slid her goggles over her eyes again, shooting him a sweet smile. “Just keep my stuff safe, alright? That’s all I ask.”

He swallowed hard and nodded, some remnants of shock and fear remaining in his eyes even as she handed over her bike to him, and walked off waving at him over her shoulder.

She stretched her arms over her head, smiling widely. It had been a year since she’d last visited this place. A year since she had been separated from one of the first friends she’d made in a very long time, and it was time she found her again.

Evelina Quinn: Immortal, Wanderer, and Healer—had returned to Russell City, now Russelgrad.

I think it's safe to say that it'll be a while yet before Rin and Grey have time to do much of anything. I think you can just reply to me as it is :)

  • Purple hair, a few shades darker than her eyes

Appearance:
There a people whose beauty is comparable to the gods from ancient Greece. There are those whose beauty stems from an excotic combination of colours, and even those whose rough and calloused exterior attracts. And then there is Octavia, a young woman whose appearance does not fit into any of these categories. While an attractive young woman in her own right the main focus of any attention directed at her is the startling colour of her hair and eyes. Locks of wavy purple fall down to the middle of her back, framing a face with a slightly pointed chin, high cheekbones and full lips.

Hours upon hours of exercise has gifted her with a body toned to perfection, with powerful thighs, a toned belly and overall slim build. Subtle muscles can be spotted moving beneath her skin as she moves, never so prominent as to detract anything from her feminine side. While not exactly the epitome of the hourglass figure, she still possesses a modest bust and shapely hips transitioning into round thighs.

To see her without her long nails and lips coloured a purple similar to her hair is about as rare as seeing Santa, some would say. And to a degree it is true; she never goes out without at least those two cosmetics.

Immortalis Information

Manifested Phenomena: Fire/Heat

Unique Abilities:
  • Living Furnace: Octavia simply does not get cold. While still capable of feeling hot and being affected by the sun’s rays, she never feels cold, and even warms up her surroundings if she so chooses.
  • Thermal Vision: One thing she quickly noticed when first she became Immortal, was that she could sense vague shapes behind solid objects. Over the cause of a couple of years this ability developed into a perfect thermal vision to be used at her leisure.
  • Fire Manipulation/Creation: The control and creation of fire comes as natural to Octavia as breathing does. At this point in time she’s as comfortable with her powers as she is with her trusty dance partner: Mr. Pole. The range, and amount of fire she can produce using her powers is as of yet unknown. Thanks to this ability she is also completely immune to the effects of fire upon her body.

Strengths:
  • Mr. Pole’s Gift: As a result of several years of pole dancing, Octavia is significantly stronger and more flexible than the average woman her age.
  • A Quicky?: A healthy body also means a healthy mind. She’s a quick thinker and does well in stressing situations.

Weaknesses:
  • Amateur: Octavia has little to no combat experience, knowing only the basics on how to maintain and shoot her gun. Hand to hand combat is an unknown to her, and despite wanting to learn she has yet to find someone who can.
  • Let’s be friends, Mr Wolf: Perhaps a bit naïve, Octavia is easy to befriend, and slow to suspicion. While not easy to manipulate per se, it’s still not a difficult task to lie to her.
  • Like a Wildfire: As easy as it is to befriend her, as difficult is it to be forgiven. If she is betrayed or a friend is struck down or wounded she becomes nigh uncontrollable, and will not stop until she feels that justice has been served, or proper reparations is sworn (not promised).
