Greetings friends, partners, enemies, acquaintances, and strangers. I am Kassarock, or just Kass if you prefer, welcome to my profile. Anyway, I am a 20 something male roleplayer from the UK and a long time user of the site, although I have come and gone a fair bit over my time here. I used to be more active on the old site, and I still am relatively active in the off topic sections today, as well as in the guild's discord. So you might see me around.

I generally consider myself to be an advanced writer, I pretty much always write multiple paragraphs, and will drop walls of text if the mood takes me. My grammar is okay, but not formally perfect, so I do not expect that from my partners either. I normally like quite dark and dramatic themes in terms of content in my roleplays, regardless of genre. Unless I have got an interest check up, or have messaged you, I am not usually looking for new partners to write with.

I think that covers just about everything. Message me if you want to know more.

I guess Eli will probably hang around town too, he's in no hurry to go home.

Derek from accounting sighed as he looked over the numbers on his computer screen. His fingers typed away at the the keyboard, adding rows upon rows of additional figures into the spreadsheet he had been working on for several hours now. Normally his wrist would be hurting by now, but the ergonomic support he had purchased over the weekend was doing wonders. But he didn't have time to savour the comfort his well supported wrist gave him. He had more pressing concerns.

In fact Derek found himself in the most stressful and nerve wracking of situations.

For hours now he had been analysing the company's accounts, and something wasn't adding up. At first glance the accounts looked normal, but the deeper he dug, the more unsettled he became. Obscured in the daily activity of transactions made from the common fund were a number of mysterious payments, all of the same amount, every single month - but billed to numerous different external contractors and consultants.

Initially the receipts and invoices seemed in order, but other than the billing documents, Derek could find no evidence that these services were ever fulfilled. And yet, every month, like clockwork, hundreds of thousands of dollars in company money disappeared. He knew then what was happening, what his predecessors must have either overlooked or been complicit in.

Someone was embezzling money from the company.

A colleague walked past and Derek froze up until they had past. Who knew? Who could he trust? Quickly, he transferred the spreadsheet onto a flash drive before turning off his monitor. He had to talk to Garry about this. It was Gary who had given him the data he needed to work this puzzle out.

But wait no... they had fired Garry after the Christmas party. They said he had 'poured coffee on the boss' and then he had just been gone. Dear god. How deep did this conspiracy go within their organisation? He had to find someone, someone he could trust. But who? Garry had been closest associate in the accounting department. He would have to find new allies.

Derek approached the water cooler, trying to act as natural as possible.

"Hey guys... anyone catch the errr... sports... last night?"
So does anyone have any afterschool plans?

Yeah I think we can incorporate a bunch of them.

Elise's Talent show + Ozragad's hunting trial in Morganyth, then the Bride Hunt and maybe something else in Eorzia, gift exchange right before the wedding itself?

So the current idea I've been working on (and continuously putting off actually doing) is running a Tabletop Paranoia RPG here on the Guild, or if not that, a game set in the universe of Paranoia's Alpha Complex. Basically after some kind collapse or calamity, all of humanity lives in a vast underground city called Alpha Complex, overseen by the Computer. No one knows how long this has been going on for - but its probably a long time, as everything is continuously breaking, the systems are collapsing in on themselves and the Computer has gone insane.

But the Computer doesn't realise this. It thinks everything is fine. All the problems in Alpha Complex? Terrorists! Terrorists and Saboteurs! So the whole city operates as a bureaucratic nightmare police state where everyone must prove their loyalty to Friend Computer and Fun is Mandatory.

It'd probably be a shorter RP, since Paranoia encourages both the killing of players by the GM and other players. There are lots of secret societies and factions (being in a faction is treason), there are mutant powers (being a mutant is treason), and you get rewards for reporting (or fabricating) your team mates' treason. So you can see why its called Paranoia.

It's feasible to run on the guild I think, just need to digitalise the item card system.
