Biography Felix was born to world renowned cat burglar Walter Hardy, the original Black Cat, and Lydia Hardy. Lydia unfortunately died in childbirth leaving Walter to raise Felix alone. This wasn't part of his life plan. He had wanted a child, but that was when he had Lydia at his side to raise him. He never took any of this out on Felix and in fact did the best he could as a father. Despite being a single father he knew he couldn't give up the life and used his son as extra motivation to pull off even bigger scores.
Whenever his father was out on missions Felix was watched by his mother's cousin, Roxanne, a former gymnast. She was aware of his father's line of work so she decided to help Felix prepare for the world that he was born into. She got him enrolled in gymnastics and was his private tutor at home. He was a natural and his talents didn't stop there. When he entered the second grade his father decided it was time to teach him the family trade, but hadn't planned to get him involved in any scores. He taught him the basics of lockpicking, pickpocketing, crack safes, and escape. By the time he entered middle school he learned everything he could and would from his father. He decided to spend his time in middle school doing what he wanted. He stayed with gymnastics, but also joined the basketball team after he had gone through a growth spurt the summer before.
Felix excelled in the sport and contributed greatly to his team winning the championships for three years in a row. The high from the victory was short lived because when he was thirteen his father was arrested and sent to prison, unknowingly to Felix, for a crime he didn't commit. He was then adopted by his godfather Black Fox, a high standing member of the Thieves Guild and his father's mentor. Before Felix had a choice when it came to whether or not he'd join the family business. Fox took that choice. He let Felix have a normal life at school and even let him continue with basketball and start track in High School. But he had to dedicate his free time to honing his skills as a thief. His days were filled with studying. Fox believed a thief's brain was the most important tool in their arsenal and it was one that could be molded and honed to perfection.
Fox also decided to put Felix's growing physique to use and enrolled him in different martial arts classes, but focused primarily on Okinawa Goju-ryu Karate and Judo. He believed those two would be the most useful for him. That and the instructors so happened to be members of the Guild. It was a way for him to have a proper understanding of the boy's development. He believed he had the makings of truly something special. The next leader of the Guild. Though he kept that future he envisioned for Felix to himself.
When Felix graduated from high school he told Black Fox that he was ready to enter to the fold and start missions, but he wanted to continue having a civilian identity. He didn't want his life to just be the next score. Fox accepted the condition and Felix's dual identity began. He enrolled into NYU with a double major in Liberal Arts, Computer and Information Sciences, with a minor in International Relations and Affairs. Felix started to really find himself in college. He realized that he really did enjoy having two lives. He was a natural thief. It was all second nature to him. In school he explored his sexuality and found that he was fluid with the variety of people he found himself entangled with. He also really did enjoy learning. When he was younger it felt like a chore, but now he had a certain appreciation for expanding his capacity for knowledge.
Two years later he found himself at Hyde Park with a few of his friends for the Fourth of July concert. He had no idea his life was going to get even crazier than it already was.
