@King Kindred So, have the Heartless got a definitive backstory that the people of the wider universe might be aware of, or are they just seen as general spooky shadow-demons?

The backstory of the Heartless remain unchanged. So there are some legends about their origins, but most people wouldn't know about them unless they've experienced them, researched them, or were taught about them by someone else.
Finally posted. Let me know if I need to change Maleficent's color. There's a green I can try, but of the purples I tried they were all dark.
The two shadows stepped backwards, fearing the power they felt from Alias's keyblade. They knew they weren't a match for it in their current state and they'd just be a liability to their red allies floating above. Alias noticed this and thought twice about attacking retreating enemies. But they weren't retreating. The two shadows moved towards each other until they touched and began to morph. "Alice, go to the door. I don't know what they're doing, but as soon as I finish them off we're out of here. I just need you safe."

Alice did as he said, but turned to watch him. He reminded her of a knight from one of the stories her mother read to her when she was younger. Strong and wielding a sword, well, somewhat of a sword ready to defend the princess. Was she a princess? She never thought of herself as one. She was just Alice and in all her imagination she never imagined herself a princess. It seemed too boring for her. She wanted adventure and for the first time in her life she was experiencing it. Even if it was a little frightening in the moment.

The two shadows fully merged and morphed into what appeared to be some kind of shadow knight. It didn't have a sword or any other weapons besides its claws, but it had a helmet with an open faceplate that showed nothing but yellow glowing dots for eyes. The new shadow knight twitched and jumped in place, getting used to its new form. Alias was honestly freaked out. He didn't even know these things could do that. But he was glad he got to see it. It reminded him not to underestimate the Heartless. They were trickier than the ones he's faced so far. He wasn't scared though. He was thrilled. He needed to get stronger to find and save his friends and experience was the only way to do that.

"Heh. A knight against a King. This should be fun." He said with a smirk before pointing to the three floating weird hat shadows. "I doubt you Heartless are honorable. No offense, it's just what the name implies. But let this be a one on one. Code of chivalry and all. After I beat your friend or friends here you can attack me all you want." Alias figured the Heartless were smarter than they looked. I mean, the two clearly knew their power separately wasn't enough to fight him.

The red shadows seemed to oblige his request. Alias nodded and turned his attention back to the shadow knight in front of him. The knight took the moment of distraction to charge at Alias to get in close before he could use his keyblade to keep it at bay. It was smart. All it had was its claws and it used them well. The knight slashed Alias across the cheek before landing behind him. Alias turned and lifted his left hand to feel the blood dripping from the cheek. He winced at the pain from the cut. "I was right. No honor. But smart. Now I don't have to feel bad. Die and release the hearts you stole."

The knight stepped back in fear, this time from the wielder of the blade, sensing his killing intent. They had made a grave mistake. Before the knight's foot could land Alias was already in front of them, not far to begin with since the knight preferred close range. Mistake number two. Alias stabbed the heart emblem on their chest, using the clearly painted target. His keyblade pierced the heart causing the shadow knight to evaporate into shadows releasing the two stolen hearts as well as some small green orbs, a bottle with some green liquid, and some munni!?

Alias didn't have the time to worry about the strangeness of it all as he had three other enemies to deal with. He lifted his arm placing his keyblade behind his back blocking a ball of fire. He turned around with a look of annoyance. As he turned the green orbs and munni pulled towards his body as if he were a magnet. The green orbs latched onto his face healing the cut from earlier and the munni transported itself to his wallet. He wasn't aware any of this was happening, hyperfocused on the three in front of him. "I knew it. A knight and mages. Didn't know you could throw fire though, but the red makes sense now. I have magic too y'know? Wanna see?"

They did not want to see. The flame shadows responded to his question sending three fireballs at him. He could block one, but what about three? Alias glanced back to make sure Alice wasn't in the path of the flames and ran away from her and the door. The flames hit the floor burning it a bit, but doing no real damage, but they did hit the green vial from earlier causing it to explode into a green mist. Alias wasn't sure what it was, but he didn't entirely trust it in the first place after Alice talked about drinking poison.

He planted his feet firmly on the ground and lifted his keyblade into the air. "My turn. Those who dare dishonor the rules of a fight, face the wrath of the King's might!!!" Three bolts of lightning fell down from out of nowhere, striking the three red mages. They weren't dead, but they were in a shocked state with the lightning still coursing through their bodies. They must've had some kind of resistance to the lightning. It made sense with fire being close to lightning. He decided to put them and the hearts they contained out of their miseries. He threw his keyblade like a boomerang cutting them each in the air before it materialized back in his hand.

The process from earlier repeated with these Heartless dropping things as well. There was more munni and green orbs, but there was also a blue cube and a red star shaped gem with three floating diamonds connected to it by some kind of invisible force. Before he could walk over to them to investigate Alice ran up and hugged him from behind. "Oh, you did it! You really are a knight! No, you said you're a King. Why didn't tell me you were a King? Most Kings I know would've said something about it when I called them rude. I'm so sorry, your Majesty. Thank you, your Majesty." Then she realized she was holding onto the King without his permission and immediately let go and stepping back. She didn't want to end up like one of those Heartless, he called them.

"It's okay and please don't call me your Majesty. It's weird. And how many kings do you know anyway? They sound like the rude ones." Alias responded as he turned around to face her.

"Just the ones in the history books my sister reads me. Though we don't have a King right now, just the Queen. Her husband, the prince died just recently, but I don't know them personally."

Alias, satisfied with her answer, turned around and walked towards the items that the fire mages dropped. "Well, I'm a King but I'm not from this world or your world because I don't know what you're talking about. My home is Destiny Islands." He picked up the red shard and looked at it closely. It was interesting and strange. He decided to hold onto it for now. He placed it in one of his many pockets and then walked over towards the blue cube. The green orbs didn't react like they did before. They only seemed to do anything if he was injured, but the munni collected itself as well. He picked up the blue cube and put it in his pocket. He figured it'd come in handy later.

"Destiny Islands..." Alice said imagining the place. "It sounds wonderful. Like a dream. Why would a King ever want to leave there?"

"Adventure." He said as he walked back over to her. "But the decision was taken out of the hands of everyone else."

Alice wasn't quite sure what he meant by that. "I understand adventure. That's why I'm here, but what do you mean?"

"Nothing. Let's unlock this door." Alias said walking over to the door. He had to have faith that everyone back home was okay, not just his friends and his dad, but everyone. He'd find them all and restore their world.

"You put on quite a show, but as I said, that's not my key." The talking doorknob repeated snapping Alias from his thoughts.

"I know, but this isn't an ordinary key. Just keep that mouth open." Alias aimed the key at the keyhole. "I hope this works." He muttered to himself. He was just guessing at this point, but this was a magical key. It had to be able to unlock a talking door. The keyblade reacted to his thoughts, a light shining at the tip of the blade. A beam of light projected from the blade straight into the keyhole. There was a click and the door opened ajar.

The doorknob was amazed. "Wow. I think you got my cavity too, kid."

Alice ran towards the door full of excitement. She thought they'd never get out of that room. She opened the door fully and yelled out into the World of Wonderland, "Mr. Rabbit, wait!!!" Before running off.

Alias ran after her. "Thank you, Mr. Door. Alice, wait for me!"

A horned woman in a dark cloak stood atop the fireplace in the strange room Alias and Alice just left. She rubbed the green crystal orb atop her scepter. "Xehanort was right. This boy is interesting indeed. Will you walk in the light or fall to the darkness, you cursed child of Radiant Garden?" She laughed maniacally before disappearing into a dark portal to begin her plan.
@Little Bird I'd go with Kingdom Of The Sun, being that that was tENG's working title.

I declare it canon.
@Crimson Flame I was mostly thinking of having Dotty break out into World Without Fences when Tavias tells the little girl to go home where it's safe.

That being said, if you want Lucian to be able to control Zen-Aku with your singing (Snow White Style) then I'm all for that.

I'm cool with both of these.

Queen Minnie was sitting on the throne in the Audience Chamber. She was alone for the moment. Daisy had left to check on someone for Goofy. A door of darkness appeared a few feet in front of her. DiZ stepped through the portal, closing it behind him. He knelt down on one knee and lowered his head. "Your Majesty. Excuse my intrusion."

"Please. The pleasantries are unnecessary. After all, you're a King and a friend." Minnie said with a warm tone trying to reach the light in the heart of her husband's friend.

"A King who failed his people and home is no King." DiZ said softly, but still loud enough for her to hear. "But yes, I've come to you as a friend. There's a young boy in Wonderland. He wields a keyblade and is protecting that world's Princess of Light. He'll need help. Where's Donald and Goofy?"

It saddened Minnie to see her friend this way. His guilt. His darkness. She stood up from her throne and walked up to DiZ. "Mickey sent them to Traverse Town to protect another wielder. A number of them seem to be popping up. My husband always theorized there was something special about Destiny Islands. It seems he was right. But Daisy's been secretly training in magic at my request and she's currently checking on Goofy's son, Max. He's developed into an excellent knight. A bit mischievous, but determined and always training to be the best. That's where he is now. The knights' training hall. I can walk you there."

"Thank you." DiZ said, turning for the exit.

A young humanoid dog was rolling through the training hall on a strange looking board with wheels. He held his lance in his right arm and stabbed a training dummy as he skated past it. He did a quick and effortless u-turn to stab another training dummy. A wide platform was in front of him. It was used to train knights in balance. Earlier he had positioned two training dummies on opposing sides of the platform. He sped up before jumping off his board and spinning in the air with his lance to hit both training dummies knocking them down. He landed on his board on the other side and exclaimed, "Yes!" with glee.

"I see you've even incorporated that board the King got you for your birthday in your training." A woman's voice said from the door.

"Huh?" The young knight asked, not realizing anyone was there watching him. He turned to see a white duck dressed in a purple dress. His footing slipped making him fall off the back of his board and on his butt. There was his cool factor by like a thousand. "Ow... Aunt Daisy?" He asked before standing up and brushing off his pants. "Yeah, I love this skateboard. I don't know what world he found it from, but it's amazing. I don't know how practical it'd be in real combat, but I've pretty much mastered it in training. Oh yeah, did you need something?"

"Your dad was sent away on a mission with Donald. He wanted me to check on you and let you know." Daisy responded.

"When's it going to be my turn? I'm ready. People need help out there and I'm just here playing knight."

"As talented as you are, you're still only sixteen, Max. Your time will come."

"It seems that time is now." Minnie called out from behind Daisy. She walked into the room with DiZ. "My friend, DiZ here needs you to help a keyblade wielder your age in Wonderland. This world is strange and already dangerous on its own, but with the Heartless attacking worlds and the enemy after the Princesses and Prince of Heart it'll be even worse. I have faith in you. I've watched you grow into an exceptional young man, but you're my nephew and I care for you. Daisy, I want you to go with him. Both of you protect each other."

"Minnie, what about you?" Daisy asked, not wanting to leave her friend.

Minnie walked up to her and held her hands. "I'll be fine. I'm not a Queen that just sits on her throne. You two must hurry. PJ will have a Gummi Ship waiting for you."

Max was ready to charge out of there when he realized that he didn't know what the keyblade wielder looked like. For all he knew he could look like anyone in Wonderland. "What does he look like?"

DiZ stepped forward and pulled out a picture that he stole from Destiny Islands just before it fell. It was taken on Alias's sixteenth birthday. His friends were in the picture as well. Hoshi, Lucian, and Levi. And in the corner of the picture was Morgan, still new to the island at the time and a bit more awkward and reserved. "He's the one in the middle and these are his friends. He'll be focused a lot on finding them. Take this with you and let him know his father was saved. He'd want it and would be happy to know that."

Daisy and Max entered the Gummi Ship Hangar. Daisy was now wearing her mage outfit. She still wore her crown, but she was wearing an athletic outfit because she knew she'd have to move a lot. She wielded a staff with a purple bow split like wings with an orb above it that was used to absorb energy as well as concentrate her magic. Max was wearing a custom made back sheath his skateboard on his back. His Lance was able to be called out whenever he needed it to. The same was the case for Daisy and her staff, but she wanted to flex it a bit finally being able to use it.

"Yo PJ! Where are you?" Max called out.

"Down here!" PJ called back. He was working on the Gummi Ship they were taking. It was pretty large with seven seats, including the pilot's. It was his personal ship and the first one he crafted himself. He learned how to be a mechanic from his dad and trained to be a Gummi Ship pilot under Chip and Dale. "And done." He came up from under the Gummi Ship and cleaned his hands with a rag as the duo approached him. "She's a beaut, isn't she?"

"She's lovely." Daisy said.

"It's a bit big isn't it? And where's the pilot?" Max asked.

"Thank you, Lady Daisy. I figured you'd need some extra seats for passengers. Her Majesty told me about the royalty you needed to protect and this is currently the biggest we have available and the one I pilot the best."

"Wait, you're our pilot? The best day just got even better." Max said going for a high five with PJ doing the same. The two yelled out, "Let's do it, to it!" slapping each other's hand, psyched for the adventure ahead of them.

Daisy simply smiled before walking onto the ship.

Back in Wonderland Alice was following the White Rabbit and Alias was following Alias. They came to the end of the hall where they'd hear a door shut. Alice and Alias walked towards the door guessing that's where the White Rabbit went. Alice opened the door and saw that a smaller door was inside. She opened that door and did this until the fifth one. She crawled through the entrance and Alias sighed before following after. This place was already starting to annoy him.

They exited on the other side to a large seemingly empty room. "Curiouser and curiouser." Alice said, mostly to herself.

"We were right behind that rabbit. How'd he get out of here so fast?" Alias asked. He couldn't believe he was actually going along with this. He noticed a small curtain at the end of the room and started walking towards it. Alice on the other hand ran towards it and opened it up revealing a very strange door with even smaller than the one they came through. She twisted the doorknob causing it to yell out in pain. Wait, a doorknob yelled out in pain? Alice jumped back, startled. "Oh, I beg your pardon."

"It's quite alright, but you did give me quite a turn."

"Oh, great. Dad jokes." Alias said, approaching with an eye roll.

"Please, sir." Alice pleaded.

"A good turn deserves another. What can I do for you?" The door knob asked.

"I'm looking for a white rabbit, so if you don't mind." Alice said leaning towards the door to look inside his mouth hole. "There he is. I must simply get through."

The doorknob leaned away when Alice tried to reach for it. "Sorry. You're much too big. Simply impassable."

"Impassible?" Alias asked?

"You mean impossible." Alice corrected.

"No, impassable. Nothing's impossible. Try the bottle on the table."

"Table?" Alias and Alice asked in unison not remembering anything at all when they entered the room, let alone a table. They turned to see one floating out of the air into nothingness and landing behind them with a bottle on the table. They ran up to it and read the tag on the bottle. It said, "Drink Me".

Alice picked it up. "Better look first, for if one drinks much from a bottle marked 'Poison', it's almost certain to disagree with one sooner or later.

"Beg your pardon?" The doorknob asked confused.

"Just giving myself some advice." Alice said before lifting to take a sip. Alias took it out of her hand to take it for himself first. If it was poison he couldn't very well let the girl he was supposed to protect drink it. It tasted sweet. He started to feel closer to the ground and before he became too small Alice took the bottle out of his hand and took some for herself. "Ooh. Cherry tart." She too began to shrink and headed for the door with Alias. The two were the right size!

"Sorry, I forgot to tell you, I'm locked. But of course you've got the key." The doorknob said.

"Key?" Alias asked thinking of his keyblade. He was going to draw it out when two small shadow heartless appeared from the ground behind them. Then suddenly three red floating heartless with pointy orange hats appeared surrounding Alias and Alice. "Alice, get behind me! I'll stop them."

Alice ran behind Alias and noticed the wooden sword on his side. "What are they and I hope you don't plan on fighting them with that toy sword?"

"They're called Heartless and I had something else in mind." For the first time outside his heart Alias was able to call on his keyblade at will. This time the keyblade didn't feel draining. It felt like it was made for him. That he was always meant to wield this.

"Oh, so you do have the key!" Alice exclaimed, but there was something strange about this key. It radiated both power and light. She didn't doubt for a second that he'd be able to fight these monsters.

"That's not my key, but good luck." The doorknob said, glad that these shadows wouldn't be able to enter his door.
So, everyone busy with holidays?

I'm not busy. I'm posting today. And as the Holiday season goes on I'll remain around.
@mattmanganon

I see no problem with them and I don't think Dragon would either, so you can move them over to approved.
I know nothing about House of Mouse. I had my own ideas for a story beyond KH3 involving Morgana but don't know if anyone would want to take part in it.

House of Mouse is just a bunch of Disney characters getting together at a dinner club and watching shorts and having a blast. But really, it's just the principle of villains taking over their stories that I'm getting at.

There's a similar skit on YouTube from a group called RDC where the anime heroes live in one house and the villains live in another. In the latest episode the villains used magic(Dragon Balls) to turn themselves into the protagonists of their stories. Plan starts at 38 minutes.
