Niah listened as Deadpool spoke. She could sort of agree with his naughty/nice list. How she ended up on the nice side was curious to her. The conversation with Wanda had put a few things into perspective for her. She had changed reality. Though she had saved a lot of lives in the process some had been lost forever.

"Rude." She was intrigued though. Why? Why take the stuff and put them on naughty and nice lists. And she was a bit tipsy. She looked at her plate of food. Her brain trying to wrap around the information. "How can I help Bonnie?"

Naughty list? Deadpool didn't even know his name. That stung a little. He started to move when Deadpool put their presents in his bag but he was too late. The guy was going back up the hole. Matt frowned, Niah was right that was rude. He turned to face the others irritation on his face. "What's your plan? Track his x-gene?"

This is something he was good at. He looked at Oliver who looked a little green and freaked out. Lab kids right. Okay, maybe Matt did belong on a naughty list. "I'll get my gear." Not that any guns would work against Deadpool. Which led to an interesting question. Could Matt's paralysis work on Deadpool?

Rose nodded at Mab as Sierra and her went into the break room. A little reassurance. Rose wasn't going to bring them into the conversation right away. She was going to start with her own stuff, test the waters with Sierra first, just to make sure she wasn't going to freak out about it or do something weird. The pair went into the break room. "Okay, so I got this super strange letter today." Rose started and pulled the slightly crumpled letter out of her pocket. "Which honestly I was just going to discount cause it sounds wild. My parents alive and well, but they never came for me? And I'm in some kind of danger."

Rose shook her head, it was crazy and if Mab hadn't gotten the same letter. Something about it had spooked Mab a lot too. Rose couldn't put her finger on it though. "And I know I'm not the only one who has gotten it." She didn't say who else had it, but Sierra might put the pieces together.

The Chesire Cat. Really? That was... Colby didn't have the words for what it was. Cause it felt right. It clicked. But it was absurd. It was the dumbest thing anyone had ever told him. He stared at the woman for a moment trying to figure out if she was pulling his leg. Was this some elaborate trick? She seemed sincere, or at least like she wasn't totally lying. He couldn't quite place his finger on it but she was hard to read.

"What decision?" He added after Mathew's questions. He was also trying to parse through what it meant that he and Mathew were from the same story. Was everyone that this Merlin guy was talking to from Alice in Wonderland? Their characters didn't know each other in any of the versions he had seen, but that didn't mean they didn't. Great, he was already thinking of himself as part of this story and as the Chesire Cat.

Wait...he was literally a cat then? A dozen more questions bounced around his head and he wanted to ask them all but refrained. It wasn't hard to tell Tinker was getting annoyed at their questions.

And nodded at Tammy. She wanted to do what was necessary to lay her friend to rest. Andy had been tossed into a new world with new rules and she had no idea how to navigate it. It was time to learn. No more taking it slow and settling into it all. Everyone had an advantage over her. She hadn't had a formal education in years and because of that was far behind in everything.

She stood up and dusted herself off. Determination was drawn deeply on her soft features. "What do we need to know?" She asked, both Leda and Tammy. She trusted Leda's knowledge. Later she wanted to talk to Arthur privately. She wanted to let him know her plan. That could wait though, until after they buried their friend. Still, no one had answered what had happened to her and Andy was determined to learn what it was and get revenge for Ash. Perhaps Arthur would help with that as well.

Oh, there was some drinking to be had this round Niah thought as she took two sips and then a smaller third one at the mention of alternate worlds and timelines. Then a drink at the mention of setting stuff of fire. She fondly remembered the experiment gone wrong in her high school chem lab. She had gotten into a lot of trouble over that, but at least the building hadn't burned down. She skipped sipping at the skinny dipping one from Sparky but rolled her eyes at Flynn's as she took a sip. She was not taking one for each class she had been in.

"I know one that'll get a few of us. Never have I ever almost died." Niah said taking a drink. She smiled at Tempest, thankful for her having saved her life. Though of course, that hadn't been the only close call for the forensic scientist. "And with that I'm going to eat some food before this gets too my head too much. Espeically after Bonnie's." Niah went over to the spread of food and nodded at Roman. She was glad he was on the team again, but she didn't understand why he wasn't participating at all. "Come on Roman you've got to drink for the Ultron thing at least." She told him as she served herself a bit of food.

There was a loud crash and a guy in a red suit was standing there. She blinked confused. That wasn't Santa that was for certain. And Raynor called him Deadpool?

"Good to know, Maria." Matt said to Maria. He felt it would be weird to say sorry so he didn't, but made a mental note so he wouldn't call her by her last name again.

Matt didn't drink at the alternate reality comment, but he did for skinny dipping and lighting stuff on fire. Remembering a few bonfires that got out of hand. He also didn't drink for the Sci-tech mention, but he did for Niah's almost dead. It hadn't been that bad, but it was a close enough call. And of course, the whole mist thing could have killed him. Not everyone survived the process.

He hadn't done a 'never have I ever' yet either and was trying to come up with a good one that he suspected most of the crew would have done. Before he could though a dude dressed as Santa came tumbling down the chimney. He blinked a bit confused. Matt knew this team had seen some crazy stuff, hell that was why he had requested to be on their team. This was weird for certain.

"It is about my birth parents. I might have found a lead." Rose figured that was vague enough and kept Mab out of it, for now. She smiled at Willow. "Willow trees are one of my favorites, so I love your name too, but no I'm not a student. Never quite cared for the atmosphere of school." Rose loved all trees, and she would only put Oak before Willow though. Willow trees were important because of their medicinal properties too. She didn't know how to tell the girl 'no offense though but I don't know you and this is sort of personal'.

"If you don't mind Sierra before you leave I show you something." She paused, "Or later today. We can meet up after I get off this shift. I don't know what your schedule looks like today sorry." Yep, of course, Rose tried to save face for everyone involved and honestly probably made Willow uncomfortable. What Rose wanted to do though was keep Mab out of it for now. At least until Rose had talked to Sierra alone about her own letter.

Merlin, fairies...? Disney is right but fairy tales are real? Colby's mind reeled at that information. He wanted to demand to see this Merlin as well. He wanted to know what sick joke this all was. How was he connected to fairy tales? "You're telling me someone named Merlin wrote us a letter. Knows who our parents are. You're a fairy and somehow...somehow out of all of that I'm supposed to just accept that and wander off down a dark ally with you?" He shook his head. She thought flashing her wings would convince him? He knew enough stage magic tricks she could be easily doing something with lights and costume.

"If that is true who are my birth parents then? Where am I from?" That was the true question that burned in Colby's heart. Where was he from? He had never felt like he fit. Like a puzzle piece that was too big for board. And he hated it. He hated his own skin. He understood Mathew more now, felt a weird kindred-ship with him. They were both puzzle pieces from a different puzzle. It explained so much. As much as he wanted to go with the woman known as Tinker (bell? WAS HE TALKING TO TINKER BELL?), he didn't trust any of this. It was too easy, too good to be true.

Andy

Andy was horrified. She normally was when the skeletons Ash raised were walking around. This was worse. A scream died in her throat and she stared at the literal walking corpse of her best friend. She had no idea what to do. Everything was wrong and askew. Leda waved for Andy to join the hug and she instinctively did. Leaning into the older camper she had been looking up to and learning from.

How odd that not even an hour ago Andy had been proud of her memory and wanted to tell Leda, and now that didn't matter. Not one bit. The headless corpse put things into perspective. Andy had considered running away from camp. Considered leaving and forgetting this place. But she knew how dangerous it was outside the barriers of the camp. Even if this happened within she was safer here. And she was determined, as she looked at Ash's still body, that she would never need help.

"Nice to meet you Oliver, you won't see much of me. I'm no longer on the team. I requested being put in a lab for a while. As for Raynor, that's mostly par for the course. He's hot-headed." Not that he was the only one on the team who was that way. Oliver seemed nice and it was likely he would learn quickly that the team had a whole host of issues. A lot of those were trust issues.

Niah had no desire to sit on Raynor's lap, no matter if it was good luck or not. She did look over at the tree and the barking gift. That wasn't normal, especially for a Secret Santa type situation. Since she though Roman had dropped off the gift she really hoped it was actually a robot.

Niah didn't drink, for either 'never have I ever'. The only sort of serious relationship she had had was with Antonie... She let that thought trail away not wanting to dwell on it. Especially since it was Christmas. Niah did smile at Tinley though as neither took a drink.

Niah then edged her way over to Bonnie. "I have something for you later." She whispered in her friend's ear and held up the bag in her hand. "But I'd like to give it to you in private since you're the only person I got a present for outside of secret Santa gifts."

Matthew was concerned about the barking package under the tree and wondered why Roman stood so awkwardly in the corner. If he wanted to be part of the team wasn't the best way to participate in team-building exercises just like this one. "I've never given a pet, though my parents did give me one when I was a kid. But I had asked for it. It seems like an awkward gift to give. Especially for a secret Santa." Matthew said, mostly responding to Raynor.

"Thank you, Agent Smith." Matthew said to Maria when she explained the game. He could tell she was surprised that he didn't know the rules but thankful she didn't ask him why he didn't. Matthew didn't drink for the first round, but he took a sip for the second with a small grimace. His ex-fiance. But he had been so happy with his body and the t-shots had begun changing things. It was a photo from a happy simple time.

"I trust Sierra." Rose said with a firm nod. "You can tell her. Let her know you're my friend, but she just got let go for the day so I'll call her over I don't want her to leave before we can talk." Rose stepped away from Mab's table and over to Sierra and the college-age-girl that were talking.

"Before you leave Sierra can my friend and I talk to you." She gave her a bright smile while gesturing back toward Mab. "I would appreciate your help with something big." Rose then smiled at Willow. "Hello I'm Rose, also a waitress here if you didn't guess that already. Are you friends?" She pointed between the two of them. Rose didn't want to make assumptions and she couldn't vouch for this college student so she didn't want to bring her into the weird letter situation. But she knew Mab wouldn't appreciate a complete stranger in the mix, and that wouldn't be fair to them.

Colby's face twisted as the woman didn't answer his or Mathew's questions but instead asked some of her own. What did fairytales have anything to do with them and their birth parents? He let Mathew talk though. He put his hand on his shoulder as Mathew talked about his years in the orphanage. Okay, as bitter as Colby was about everything he had gotten lucky. His adoptive parents were mostly decent. There had just always been something inside him looking for something they didn't offer. Colby's hand dropped as he thought about what he remembered.

There wasn't much. His life before the Jacksons was...vague. Of course, he had been a toddler so it wasn't like many people remembered their lives when they were a year old. What Colby did remember was the sensation of falling. An endless fall. And a cat purring. But those memories meant nothing. The fall was easily explained as a bad dream and a cat purring was such a simple event who the heck cared? Mathew was done talking and had asked the woman again who she was. Colby sighed and shrugged at her.

"I remember falling and a cat purring. I know fairytales like any other American. You know Disney." Colby shrugged again. "But it is your turn to answer our questions." He was annoyed with her.

"I'm doing okay." Niah said as she hugged Cass. "Things are a bit more...controlled in the lab, but I do miss you all." That wasn't the whole truth, but she did miss the team. It felt like a huge piece of who she had become was in this room. Odd. She smiled at Bonnie, and tried to ignore Flynn at her side. She had been successful in getting them back together, well really she hadn't done much just nudged Bonnie toward Flynn. Goose had been pushier then her. What made Niah happy was Bonnie's smile.

Niah saw Raynor deck Harry's "halls". She may not be a fighter, but at least she wasn't an asshole. Yeah, she didn't miss the whole team. "Oh hello, you're new. My name is Doctor Niah Bautista, please call me Niah." She said offering her hand to Oliver and looking past him to see Matthew, another new face. She then looked toward Tinley. "It is all very lovely. Thank you for this. I'd be interested in playing a game, Tempest."

Matthew winced as Raynor decked Harry, that looked painful. He took a small deep breath and joined the room stepping away from the bar. He took a sip of the rum and coke he had ordered. Matthew raised his glass as Tinley mentioned the bar being open. It could be a good holiday party. He'd remember not to joke with Santa for fear of getting punched though. Not that Matthew couldn't take a punch, probably a bit better than the engineer. He just didn't see a point in fighting with someone he was supposed to work with. That might be fun to reconcile at a later date.

"And I am Agent Matthew Moss." Matthew said extending his hand to Niah after her and Oliver exchanged pleasantries. Niah shook his hand with a smile. "You'll have to forgive me Renroir. I'm afraid I'm at a disadvantage I've never played these games. What are they?" He really hadn't played them. His youth hadn't been particularly inclusive either pre-transition or post. And he wasn't American. So his experience with "classic party games" so to speak was limited. Though he was particularly good at charades if you asked him.

Andy

Location: Zeus' cabin

Andy looked at the empty cabin through tears. Demetri and her, mostly Demetri had changed the cabin around since her first night there. She had a bunk. She had a life here. A sob wracked through her and she heard Arthur's voice. Andy turned around and saw his own tears falling freely down his face. It wasn't like she had answers but she instead hugged him. Before coming here Andy hadn't really hugged people. That wasn't her style. That was too vulnerable. She stepped back from the hug.

"I'm sorry. I don't know why. I don't know what happened." Andy said as she tried to control her crying. Leda was at the door to her cabin. "He knows. I told him." She said wiping her face as dry as she could. "Do you know what happened though?" Leda was one of the few people Andy hadn't been afraid to ask questions at. She didn't judge her for not knowing, and now Andy didn't have her buffer. The one who was supposed to stand in front and keep the attention on her. How was Andy supposed to function without Ash?
