"Oh." Andy said when Lauryn informed her that Gryphons liked fish. She wondered how she was supposed to have known that. There wasn't really a class on what to feed monsters. Or which ones were nice. There certainly hadn't been one in the mortal school she had been in before running away. That would have been a way cooler school if it had had it. She watched as the Gryphon ate the fish.

"Yeah, not sure why though. I was the only one out of the group that he let near him really, other than wrapping his wound and putting ointment on it." Andy shrugged. She really didn't get it. Then the alarm started going off. "Oh, sorry little...uh big guy. I got to go help protect the ship. I'm supposed to be on watch right now." She smiled at it and came out of the stall closing and locking it behind her. She didn't think it would be a good thing if he got out and tore through the barrels or something.

Andy hurried back to the topdeck pulling her dagger from its bracelet and looking to see what was going on. Thankfully the creature wasn't close yet. She went over to Arthur. "I have an idea to try. You can control metal right? Can you control mine? If so I wonder if I can channel my lightning through it as you throw it and hit more than one thing." She knew he didn't like fighting, but she hoped that if she made it a cooperative thing with her he'd be more open to it. Their lives depended on the fighting. As much as that sucked, she had learned that before joining camp. There was no going back.

Niah shook her head at Nancy and Mads lack of modern technological understandings, they had been at camp for four years. Though Niah wasn't much better, she at least understood the concepts. Niah hadn't left camp in what felt like ages. Getting out of there lifted some weight off of her shoulders she hadn't even realized she had been carrying. It was a nice sensation to be free from the rules and boundaries. Something that had to be odd considering who she was. She liked rules. It made the world make sense. But the oppressive life of being 'in charge' was something she didn't like.

Emily was holding onto Marco's hand as they walked. She rubbed her thumb a little along the webbing between his thumb and fingers and gently tapped three times. A cute way to say, without verbalizing, that she loved him. They really could be a gross couple. "Thanks for covering the Uber. Makes traveling a lot easier." Though Em was ready to think of the worst-case scenario that somehow their Uber driver was a monster.

When the Uber arrived Niah climbed in. She was the only one not wearing the armor, but she decided she'd put it on when the Uber dropped them off. She felt better about that decision when the driver didn't seem to notice that five of the six teens that climbed into his car were wearing Roman armor. It was made a smile creep on her face. She did love Mads skill with the mist. The driver also didn't seem to care that the six teens had gotten picked up near a major high way instead of somewhere sensible like a parking lot. Mortals really didn't care much, did they?

In the Honda, Emily made sure to sit next to Marco. She eyed Milo keeping an eye on him to make sure he wasn't going to get car sick or something weird like that. But she kept her hand in Marco's once they were settled in the car. The drive would be almost two hours. That was a whole lot better than the day or more (making time for food and monster attacks) it would have taken between busses or walking. Heck even on a bike it would be four hours. But a nice air-conditioned car sounded like a way better plan to her. They wouldn't have to worry about missing a connection or the ferry now. And miraculously the driver didn't seem to care that they were wearing armor, which meant he was most likely mortal.

The anger melted from Rose's body when Merlin explained how the book worked. "Robin Hood is in Arendale." She let anyone else who wanted to view where their parent was take a look, but once they started walking she closed the book and held it close to her chest. She took one of the torches before heading down the tunnel. Rose made sure she was near the front.

Anger from being potentially lied had become anxiety about her mother's well being. Though, the "most likely" part of Merlin's sentence was sitting like a throne in her mind. She was freaked out about someone she didn't remember, as she considered that a flash of her mother's face filled her mind. She was injured, a bandage was covering her face. Red was carrying Rose in her arms as she ran through the woods. Rose felt comfort from the warmth of her mother's arms, but she had a feeling Red was scared.

"I don't think her mom is somewhere good. I didn't look cause I don't know her name." Colby said shrugging. He was certain the girl had introduced herself. He just hadn't cared to remember. Colby's attention drifted around the room, the thing that caught his eye was a bracelet. He wasn't normally a bracelet type of person, but this one looked neat and shiny. He picked it up and it turned into a shield. "Okay that is cool."

If Merlin didn't tell him to leave it, Colby kept the bracelet. It could be useful. He was a close-up fighter and close-up magician but if he got involved in a fight again with arrows and stuff it could come in handy. When Merlin handed him a torch he took it. Then followed down into the tunnel he had found. "You don't think these might have been discovered in how many ever years you've been gone from here?'

Ed Penior

Ed didn't love anyone in the group, but he was fond of a few of them. Especially of Neil. He felt the two of them had a connection through magic. Even though Neil couldn't do any there was something nice about having a friend in the Mansion who knew what he meant when he talked about parts of magic, especially when he was talking about stuff that didn't cross over with D&D.

That was unfortunate for Neil, as he was the only person in the Mansion he considered a friend. It was also unfortunate for Neil that Ed had learned how to do actual damage with his magic. He had spent his life learning how to be defensive, not offensive. One fight with the X-Men and he was capable of breaking one of the family laws. Ed reached into his pocket and touched the small shield there.

The same translucent orange shield appeared around Neil. It shrank some starting to close in on Neil. It wasn't enough to start crushing Neil, but if Neil had any claustrophobic tendencies he would not appreciate it. The part of Ed that didn't like what was happening did not win the mental battle. The shield stayed up.

"Thanks." Niah nodded at Agent 13. She frowned thinking about having the group's secrets. "I don't know how well it'll work. Admittedly I wasn't trying to see if Flynn was lying but he seemed to understand what I meant when I...uh..." Niah shifted uncomfortable, she clearly didn't want to repeat it in front of Agent 13. "The thing I said was a reference to when we time traveled. It is what I said when I left them to talk with Pym."

She took a quick breath, "However, I wasn't at the time trying to see if he was lying. I have done the whole lie-detecting before. And yes Oliver I will go with you. Even if it is just to see your mother." She gave him a soft smile. One that those who had known her the longest would recognize. There was kindness in it, and sympathy, but no pity. Niah wasn't that type of person. She genuinely cared about those on the team.

"About Captain America's side, I saw what he said to Hill and I agree with him." She paused and then said, "The requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world -- 'No, YOU move.'" Quoting him from her memory. It had meant a lot to her. She had fought hard to get the world back to her normal and she was determined to keep it going well.

"I'm okay, thanks, dear. Just Fake-Flynn's antics lit me on fire. I was able to put it out before too much damage was done. I however should get a change of clothing." He put his hand on Cass's. It was was a pleasant soft moment and he appreciated it. It was time to focus on work. He listened to Niah and frowned. She had a point, but he believed in SHIELD. He believed in what it stood for. Hills laws were just trying to protect people.

"I get where you're coming from Niah, I just don't agree. This makes sense. There should be oversight. We can't have random untrained people out there doing whatever they think is right. I, however, will follow Cass. I'm going to see if I can find something to change into." There was something very purposeful about how Matt didn't say orders when he said he would follow Cass. She couldn't order them to defect and he would follow her if she decided to.

"I'm doing okay. Let me know what's going on, and if they have coffee, or any caffeine really. I finished the monster Echo gave us yesterday in the van." Andy said to Kristina. Looking back at Zarina she added, "What is your eyeball thing saying anyway? You talk to it like it is saying something, but I just hear 1's and 0's."

Andy stood up from the bed and stretched. She was used to people randomly yelling from the time at foster homes, the homeless camps, and of course the damn school. Her stomach grumbled. Food also sounded good. "I'm gonna see if there is food here. Care to join, or do you wanna keep uh, tinkering or fixing, or whatever it is you're doing."

Andy headed out of the room and slid past the chaos that was gathering in the hall. She realized she didn't know where the kitchen was. Her experience so far had been two of the rooms and the hall. She could guess what the hall rooms all went to bedrooms, especially the ones that people were coming out of or banging on the door of.

"Yeah I'll join you." Dalisy said to Beth. "Arnora if you need me to stab something let me know." Dalisy shoved the last few bites of her food into her mouth and followed after Beth toward the Thanes. She wore a grin. "Oh I have an idea." Dalisy closed her eyes and reached out with her powers. She took after her father and could see anyone, anywhere in the multi-verse. It came with some downsides in that Dalisy had seen some things she didn't want to, but she loved being able to check up on her sister.

Dalisy could see Hel herself sitting on her throne in her Castle Eljudnir in Niflheim. Baldur is trapped in a cage there. That gave them some information. Dalisy wasn't certain if Beth had seen that in her own vision as detailed though. "Beth dear, did you know where Baldur was? I just looked and I can see him in Niflheim. Hel has him, but I think you knew that." She sighed. Her power would be useful. She focused a bit more, the Naglfar and a small group of the undead and a few frost giants gathering things but it isn’t ready yet. "The faster they get there the better. She has frost giants gathering stuff, but they aren't ready yet. If they get ready we're gonna lose. I'll tell Arnora so she can warn the new girl."

Luke reached out and grabbed at Y's shirt, he was able to stabilize Vinnie holding them up, but he couldn't pull them up any more than Vinnie could, but at least Vinnie wasn't going to topple over the railing after Noah. Luke's face paled as he saw Noah. It was clear there was no surviving the fall. Luke had liked Noah well enough. The guy had been quiet but kind.

He turned his eyes to Tessa who looked like a deer in the headlights. She stepped forward gathering her wits and pulled at Y92-6. Between the three of them they got Y92-6 to safety. "Thanks." Luke sighed. He still felt like he wanted to vomit. "Don't look down there. Not pretty." He gestured vaguely down where Noah had fallen.

Y92-6 knelt on the catwalk. They stared down at their hands. "I'm sorry. I didn't know he would do that. I tried...I tried to stop him." Y92-6 looked back up at the group, their vision stopping on Vinnie. "I'll try to help. I don't want you all to die. Not like that. Not like my people. You have to do something though. There is a limiter on me. It keeps me from doing things contrary to the programming. If you remove it, I can help you."

Sector Two Group Containment - Atrium

The fight in the cafeteria seemed to be escalating. Someone was screaming. It was unclear from the screams if they were injured or injuring someone. Through the screams, a male voice could be heard "You bastard you will burn in hell for that. I will kill all of you."

Andy looked at Lauryn as the older girl helped her settle the Gryphon into a stall. "I don't know, I don't trust the situation, but they all told me to bring it down here. I was the only one he'd let near enough to try." She shrugged as she said that. She was frowning a bit thinking about the conversation Arthur and Rebecca were having. Andy didn't know how else to answer the question about how she was doing. She was frustrated and scared, but that was pretty normal for her so she didn't know how to explain that. She opted for letting what she had already said be her answer.

Andy kneeled down in front of the Gryphon. She wanted to say something to the creature but she felt weird about talking to it, especially with Lauryn there. Instead, she held out her hand let it sniff at her. Then she looked back up at Lauryn, "Do we have like hay or something for the guy to munch on? I bet he's had a rough day."

She looked at the Gryphon. "You probably like me cause I know what it's like. Running and hoping someone will care. They never seem to huh? I promise I won't hurt you though. Just don't hurt anyone else on the ship okay. They are...with me."

"Smart man" Emily smiled and winked at Marco. She did love Milo a ton though so she would have let it slide. Emily was impressed with the armor that appeared on her. She gave Mads an approving nod. "That's cool. I never got the hang of the magic stuff. My gifts are cool in their own right. And the driver will probably think we're cosplayers or something." She laughed at the idea. She also imagined he just thought they were LARPers but she wasn't going to make that joke. Only Marco had any idea she was into RPing. It was a good escape.

"Hey, the armor will be good though. Because it will protect you from harm and that's the part about armor that matters." She looked up at the sky, it was passed noon now, they should get going. "Doesn't the Uber app require a bank account or something?" She looked at Waverly. She wouldn't be surprised if Marco had the money in an account on hand. Niah's father often sent her cash, but since he didn't live in America he had never set up a bank account for her to use.

Emily started walking. They had a bit of a hike to get to where they could get an Uber to actually pick them up. It was a much better hike than what they would have to do to get to the bus station. The cost for Uber would balance out most likely too. With six of them, they'd have to order the van type over the usual car, but she suspected it would be cheaper than six bus tickets. "Niah you've spent too much time around Mads and Nancy." Emily shook her head, she was grinning brightly though. She was clearly joking that Madalyne and Nancy had worn off on Niah with their lack of technological skills.

Niah snorted at Emily's joke and shook her head. Niah started after Emily who had taken point for heading for the exit of Camp. It had been a while since Niah had left Camp and she was a bit nervous about going back out into the mortal world. She did know she was less nervous than Nancy though. Niah supposed if they got to fight a dragon again or something as equally awesome as Nancy blowing up the heads of a biker gang of werewolves Nancy would be okay with it. "Anyway, let Waverly answer the question, Emily."

Niah let out a small sigh of relief. All of the Skrulls and More-Psycho-Than-Usual-Flynn were taken care of. She lowered her ICER. "Alright I'm just gonna come out and say it. Something funky is going on. I was agreeing with Flynn. We need to stop this stupid law thing. But I guess it makes sense I was agreeing with him since apparently he is an imposter. We need to figure out what is going on." She spoke mostly to Cass, but she didn't care who else heard her.

"Bonnie, is your test good? Like are they copying our DNA? Is that why they have powers, our powers? They seem to be getting better at faking it. If they aren't copying our DNA we need to set up a quick way of checking anytime we have been alone." There was so much going on. With the new laws that Hill was pushing for and now all these damn Skrulls showing up. A part of Niah was regretting going back into the field, but she couldn't imagine how guilty she would have felt if she hadn't been here and Bonnie or Cass or any of the team had been hurt that she might have been able to help. Just like the guilt, she felt from not going to the Moon.

Skrull? LMD?...Fake-Flynn fell down the stairs just like almost everyone else on the team. It seemed like it had become an important part of being a part of the Secret Warriors, fall over the banister in Captain America's apartment complex. He was toasted by fake-Flynn so elegantly making his way back up like he was a rocket. If the building was going to burn down he was gonna pump so much paralytic into Fake-Flynn he never walked again.

Matt was literally on fire. He pulled himself up having been able to shift his weight enough that his shoulder wasn't rolled weird. On the second floor, his eyes darted around looking for a way to put himself out. But he didn't see one, so he just did the classic thing all kids are taught to do when they find themselves on fire. A problem that up till today he hadn't encountered much. He stopped-dropped-and rolled, which did the trick. He was no longer actively on fire. He cursed to himself colorfully and started up the stairs. Lucky Flynn, Bonnie had beat him up there and there was a dagger in the back. He suspected that was how Bonnie felt at the moment. He was, of course, assuming that it had been Bonnie, but the dagger looked like hers.

He raised an eyebrow at Niah who had admitted to agreeing with Fake-Flynn. Break orders. Had she been replaced too? He didn't know her that well, and considering the situation with her sister...well he had his opinions about Niah.

Andy loved the bed. It had a pillow and a blanket and was in fact warm. Veil hadn't been lying about that part. It was the first bed she had had since December. Miraculously that meant she slept okay. Even with the caffeine that had been running through her veins after the weird conversation with James, who seemed nice enough, she had passed out. And not a single nightmare. That was unusual for her, especially after a fight.

She was quite content to continue to sleep, but someone was yelling in the hallway. It sounded like Waverly. Andy pulled her pillow over her head. It sounded like some weird drama. She sighed and pulled the pillow off of her head and looked at the other two girls in her room. It was cramped, but at least it wasn't with any of the people mourning. These two were the ones who had met Veil at the same time she had.

Her attention paused on the green-haired girl. Andy wanted to apologize to her. She sighed. Zarina was tinkering with the metal face robot thing. "Hey, um, Zarina. I'm sorry for what I said yesterday. I was confused, you were saying a lot of things I don't understand as if I should, so it was upsetting."

Andy could imagine Jammie telling her he was proud of her for apologizing. Especially since Andy wasn't bringing up the part that Zarina had been asking what Andy saw as basic questions while expecting her to know weirdly specific things. Maybe it was the good night's sleep that had made her less confrontational that usual.
