"You do know that I can only focus on one sense at a time and when I do I lose another one." It had been an odd part of her power that she never quite understood. It helped keep her from being overwhelmed but she had to be certain that she was safe if she did certain senses. Thankfully sound was easy enough to do. She'd only lose her sense of taste.

"Of course. And I have a better idea than you know Oliver." She had changed reality for her sister, to bring her back. It had worked too, even if it hadn't been in the way she anticipated. She gave Oliver a reassuring smile.

As they debarked the jet, thank you Agent 13, Niah followed after Oliver. This was his mission and his life. More importantly, his life that she felt like an intruder on. She didn't know Oliver all that well. They had only really interacted on Christmas, and then a few times since then.

"Pleasure to meet you Betsy Braddock. Thank you for letting us land and everything. We appreciate your assistance." Niah told Braddock after Oliver introduced her.

The caffeine was a good hit to Matt's system. He was dressed down for what he normally wore, but at least he had a button-up shirt on still. Button-ups were a joy post top surgery. He smiled at the thought. Then nodded as Bonnie asked if everyone was ready. He finished his drink and climbed into the SUV. He trusted Cass's driving. She had been the one driving for their date even. He could drive, but preferred his motorcycle enough that he rarely drove a car.

With the team reduced down to four people, and one of those four a complete newbie to SHIELD. Matt was nervous. He knew Bonnie and Cass and easily trusted both of them at his side in a fight. Bonnie and Cass were terrifying in a fight. He knew where everyone was on the team about Hills laws. And Matt was nervous about Kwassi, he didn't know how much he could trust the guy. He frowned a bit thinking. Also, Kwassi was injured. Bonnie was good at medical stuff, but would it be enough for Kwassi in a fight? Would he be able to stand against Captain America?

Ah, the nectar of the gods, second only to apple juice, coffee. "That's fine." She said in regards to the cup size. "I drink it in whatever form is available, but creme and sugar is good." Hopefully, she could refill her cup after she finished it.

As people gathered at the table she shoved waffles into her mouth. She felt bad for eating more than one since it seemed like most people were only eating one. But she would never feel bad for drinking coffee. Andy listened to the conversation a bit and looked at the guy who was apparently Waffle God. Her eyes were a little wide as he talked and then seemed to talk to air.

Who was he talking to? Ben? Was Ben an invisible person in the group? A dozen follow up questions went through her mind, but her mouth was full of waffle so she didn't ask any of them. But Veil took control of the situation changing the subject away from who Ben might be. She'd have to ask one of the people who had been here a while. They must know, and she didn't want to ask it and interrupt anything important. Or honestly, be noticed too much. She liked being mostly ignored.

"Really is that so Lara? No one is underestimating it. Then why did the Thanes completely ignore Beth when she told them before Runa was claimed. Beth had a vision and she was ignored. What we've seen shouldn't be ignored. Ragnorok is inevitable. But we should at least try to slow it down. Going into Niflheim under-prepared will be the death of this quest. Going into Niflheim too late will be the death of this quest. I'm saying it needs to be timed correctly."

Dalisy followed Arnora into the elevator. Her chin up. She was pissed, but honestly when wasn't she. Dalisy was just taking it out on Lara. On the woman who was too much like her own sister. If they both ended up going on this quest Dalisy wasn't certain how that would turn out. For the most part in Valhalla she could avoid Lara, but going on a quest together that would be impossible. It set her teeth on edge.

Dragons. Actual dragons. Andy's eyes widened. Fear tore through her, but she kept her wits about her. Arthur didn't though. She had to protect him. Andy moved to be by his side again. "I'm here. We can do this. We have to do this." She told him and reached out and put her hand on his shoulder. "I know you're scared. I am too. But we have to do this. If we don't fight where does that leave us?"

Andy remembered when she had gotten her knife by the strange homeless guy he had told her something similar. He had said that her life depended on her being strong. On her defending herself. Without the dagger, he had given her she would have died at least a few times since then. Her lightning didn't always work. She could only hope that against dragons it would.

Leaving Arthur, she made her way over to a mast and tried to climb up. She couldn't get a good enough grip. Fear wouldn't let her. She gave up and decided to just try to zap the dragons. She tried to draw in a good blast, but it missed the dragon completely. Andy took a deep breath and tried again. A lightning blast hit the dragon dead on. It kept flying but it looked hurt. She smiled proudly herself.

Niah had somehow ended up in the front seat. She didn't mind. She liked watching the road anyway. It was the part of her that liked knowing what was going on. It also meant she could keep an eye out for any monsters that decided to drop from the sky and blow up their car or some other horrible thing. She tensed and then released the tension from her body. Trying to calm down. She didn't even know why she was thinking of all the worst-case scenarios possible.

Emily smiled as Marco sat next to her. She watched him as he used his charmspeak on the driver. It was something about him that made him different. Not all children of Aphrodite could do that. It was a rare power. Similar to her control over madness. Not many had that gift either. "Well done." It made sense. They couldn't have the driver getting weird ideas from the group of teens in his car. At least her and Marco were eighteen so if anyone tried to stop them for being a bunch of delinquents they could pull the 'technically adults card'.

Ugh, adult... Emily's thoughts continued. The papers in her trunk mocked her. She had to get the applications out for college. She needed to talk with Marco first though. They wanted to go to college together so they'd have to find one that matched up with what they both wanted to study.

Niah glanced around, checking out behind them. Who knew maybe a monster was chasing the car? Or...She paused turned back around to face the front and pulled down the visor and used the mirror to watch. She didn't want it to seem like she was watching the car so she tried to act natural. It seemed like a car was definitely following them. "Hey, guys, not all at once, take a look back and tell me if you see the car following us." She said and looked back as if she was talking to one of the others in the seat. "I don't know how long they've been following us, but they changed lanes with us." She considered how they could get the driver to lose the tail, or confront them. "Should we see if the driver can lose them, or stop and confront them?" Her question was mostly directed at Mads and Nancy, but it was clear that anyone can answer.

"I vote to lose them if the driver can. We have a long day ahead of us, we should try to avoid a fight if we can." Emily said.

Colby Jackson

Location: Camelot (Secret tunnel!)
Skills:

"I'm no knight." Colby had never considered himself a hero. He was also an antagonist even in his own head, or at best an anti-hero. He was the reluctant hero type. "That's super cool!" Colby told Matt when he came back from having done magic. "I'll have to give it a try when we get a chance." Trying to do magic in a cramped corridor might result in some structural damage that Colby didn't particularly want to deal with the consequences of.

Colby didn't know what those certain reasons were. He also for a moment didn't know why he felt like he was being watched. It seemed like one of the skull's eyes were following him, which was impossible in the human world he had been raised in. Here, why not? He reached out and was about to touch the skull when Tink gave the directive to not disturb the dead.

Colby wasn't good at following directives. He was good at breaking them. He looked at Tink with a twinkle of mischief in his eye. Maybe it was the cat blood. He finished reaching forward and let his fingers carefully touch the skull. He wasn't certain what would happen, but he was too curious to care. These were consequences he was willing to deal with.

The skull stood up part of a full skeleton and reached for a weapon. Colby's face broke out into a grin. He had been getting a little stir crazy a fight would be good to get the blood moving. He activated his newly acquired shield and bashed it, the first hit didn't do much, but the second killed the skeleton. Two more seemed to have been activated by his actions.

Rose Buckner

Location: Camelot
Skills:

Rose smiled back at Cass. It was nice to have reassurance. She trusted Cass at her back. Sierra was a good friend too. Those were the known elements. Everyone else she had only met today. That made them unknown elements. In a bar drinking situation, she'd be watching them the closest. Making sure they didn't have too much to drink and weren't harassing people.

Rose let out a disappointed sigh as she watched Colby touch the skull. It of course caused issues. Seriously, what an idiot. Rose let the book in her hand drop to the ground so she could draw her bow. She shot two arrows. One smashed through the skull of a skeleton that had risen. The other missed, but thankfully sailed past any of the others.

"Idiot. She literally just told you not to do that." Rose scolded Colby. He gave a careless shrug in response.

Ed Penior

Location: Xavier's Mansion: Blackbird Hangar
Skills: Sympathetic: Healing

"I am sorry for that Neil." Ed apologized as he realized what he had done. He dropped the shield around his friend. "Thank you Antoinette. I appreciate your efforts and words." He gave her a reassuring smile.

Ed wasn't certain if kissing Klara would get them the needed result. He was frustrated with her for invading his mind and controlling it. That had been something he had been trained to prevent for most of his life and that training seemed useless. He did get an odd idea that he wanted to try. But he would still need a hair or bit of blood from her to get it to work.

Getting the hair would be...difficult. He had some skill in hand-to-hand combat but had always been more of a staff fighter. Preferring to keep people at a distance, that was true for more than one aspect of his life. Klara was distracted at least and it took some effort but he was able to pull a hair from her head. He was sure she was pissed at him for that. "Cover me. I'm going to try something. Hope it works." He said ducking behind some of the others keeping them between himself and Klara.

He started the healing spell. Ed was once again frustrated with how slow he was at casting it. He had never learned to use it during combat. That had always been his sister's job. Ed forced that thought away, wished for a cigarette, and focused on the spell. Hoping that healing Klara's mind would do the trick. It was different than brute force trying to break the spell from within her mind, which was what Guin had suggested. This approach was much more his style, and he could apologize for stealing a strand of her hair after the fact. It wouldn't break any of the family laws either, which was much more important to him.

Niah's heart broke a little hearing Bonnie disagree. She had a good reason and couldn't blame her. But Niah knew what the fall into fascism looked like. She bit her lip, but sighed and let it go. "Thank you." She said to Cass. Niah was actually thankful she was being sidelined from the mission. She didn't want to actively go against the mission.

Niah liked working for SHIELD. She remembered a conversation with Antoine. The last one. He wanted to help people. He wanted to make the world a better place. Niah didn't think that Hill's laws would help that happen. She felt it would be the opposite. Niah couldn't put words into his mouth, but she felt he'd be with her. They'd be trying to stop lists from being made. Being put on a list like that was a one-way ticket to being eliminated. People feared mutants too much. People feared different too much.

Turning to Oliver she asked, "How do you think we can get to England for your mother? Can you carry me and run there on the surface of the ocean? Or is that something you haven't tried?" Niah's voice carried a weight of sadness. It wasn't the same as it had been after Ultron, but still, it was there. She started walking with the group to the quinjet.

Matt made his way to the quinjet and looked for a change of clothes. When he found it he went to the bathroom to change and then came back out as the others joined; he smiled at Cass. He settled into a seat near her. He wasn't going to continue the argument about if they should go after Cap or not. "Glad you're okay. I was worried for a minute there. You just jumped. I'm glad both of you are okay." He added the last bit to Bonnie as well.

Asokho was being patched up, which was a good idea. Fake-Flynn had done a number on him. "Uh, before we leave. We didn't kill all of the Skrulls, what are we doing with the rest of them? I know Niah shot a few with the ICER darts." He didn't know what had happened with the one Oliver had fought, but he could make a guess since he was covered in blood. "Oliver, take a shower before you see your mom." He suggested.

Tessa was doing her level best to follow Luke's recommendation and not look down where Noah's broken body was. She looked at Cal confused. "Not sure how we are going to give him a funeral. What do we even know about him? I don't remember his last name even. I remember he said something about an older brother who was dead." She felt bad about it. She wished she had paid closer attention and had learned enough to make a worthwhile eulogy.

"It is inside me. Right here." Y92-6 said and tapped the nape of their neck. "It'll have to be cut open and removed. If you're not careful though it can sever a cable there and kill me instantly."

Sector Two Group Containment - Atrium/Galley

Upon entering the Galley Lana would find a blood bath. The girl who had been a robot's throat had been cut. She was on the floor - unmoving. Green 'blood' pooled around her. One of the guys had been stabbed in the gut and was leaning against a wall. He was trying to hold his stomach, but blood was still leaking from between his fingers. Another of the men was already dead too, blood pooled around him. Several Roombas had come out of the wall and were trying to clean up all the blood, but it seemed to only be spreading it. The Roombas almost made it comical.

The rest of the group were backing away terror in their eyes.

Andy blinked. She wasn't certain she understood half of what Zarina said. Sure she knew the words, well most of them, but she didn't get the concepts. What was Technopathy anyway? Andy considered asking, but she wasn't certain if she wanted an extended tirade about it.

Andy picked up a bit on the conversation that was going on. It was explaining why Feedback had been yelling and woke everyone up. It sounded like someone had kidnapped someone else. The names meant nothing to Andy since she barely knew anyone in the building. The list of people she knew could almost be counted on one hand.

And one of those people's clones was telling them that there was food! Blessed food. And the coffee was mentioned too. That was a very welcome item. She followed the clone of Echo down to the dining area. Andy had been around enough mutants to not be totally weirded out by clones and stuff like that, but this group was on top of the list of the weirdest group altogether. She wondered how much of that was the M-pox getting to them.

She gave a bit of a yawn. "I'd like a cup of coffee too. The biggest one you can make." She had never had a French press coffee before, but if it had caffeine she was all for it.

Beth had talked for Dalisy, which was just fine. It meant the ire of the Thanes weren't directed at her. Dalisy was a shit-stirrer, but she wasn't an idiot. She followed Arnora away from the Thanes. "We have some information for her." She said. "I took a look. Hel is vulnerable right now, but I don't know how long until she has forces gathered that we actually have to worry about." If they could prevent Ragnorok it would hold it off for a while yet. It wouldn't stop it. Nothing could.

Dalisy sighed. "I don't want this to be underestimated." They could keep the world turning long enough for Niah to have a full life. That's what mattered. Why did this have to happen in Niah's lifetime? "I don't care if I go on the quest of not. I just want to make sure Runa knows everything she needs to." For someone who was as fatalistic as Dalisy was she did seem particularly concerned.
