Manny nodded and pulled the steak knife that he had kept from their experimenting earlier out of the towel he had wrapped it in and awkwardly shoved into his waistline.
"You sure Y?" Manny shortened the robot's name further.
They only nodded but glanced at Cal "That's a good idea. You can throw the limiter down too at that time. They might sense that and ignore the rest of the evidence. I don't know about pain. I can't really eat pain pills though so I will handle it." They looked back at Manny, nodded, and knelt down to make it easier for the guy to access their neck.
Tessa started off back the way the group had come.
"I'll go with you." Gordon said following after her. She gave him a nod and smile and the two hurried off. Gordon would have a good idea of what liquid could be used since he was a cook.
Meanwhile, Manny started a gentle cut into the back of Y's neck. His hand was steady. The military and medical experience he had pre-space was clearly helping the situation. He was probably the best choice out of the group to be doing the unusual surgery.
It took a few minutes and was messy. Manny had Luke hold the towel near the cut to keep the green fluid from going all down Y's back. Tessa and Gordon weren't back by the time he had finished though. Y was shaking a little, but it was not from pain. There was relief written on their face. "Thank you." They whispered out a gentle sigh.
Sector Two Group Containment - Galley
With the threat dealt with the group that belonged to Sector Two seemed to relax a little. One of their numbers had found help somehow. They didn't know how, but they were thankful. There were now three dead of the twelve that had woken in Sector Two and one was fading that direction. Even with the attention given to him he probably wouldn't survive another thirty minutes at best without the transfusion. Lucky for him there was one person who was medically trained. She went to the machine and was able to figure out what was needed. She also knew that there was universal donor blood. With that information, she set up the guy with a transfusion. The woman, dark hair and dark-skinned, worked calmly and efficiently.
The Roomba continued its futile task.
