Andy's lip turned up slightly watching the two dogs play. It didn't make her feel better, but it was cute. She looked at Persephone, blinking in surprise at her explanation of Arthur's location. She didn't like that. She hadn't seen what had happened to Ash, but it had scared Arthur. He had become so scarred by Ash and then later Des' deaths. She didn't imagine he would appreciate being in his father's realm all that much. It also meant he had been taken from his quest group which meant they were down a person. Had they found a third?

Andy didn't say anything she was thinking. She finally settled on, "Oh, thank you for telling me. Uh, if you see him soon can you tell him that Mads fell." He'd know what that meant. He had promised to help get her back. She glanced over seeing Naih screaming Nancy's name.

Tears fell down Niah's face. She hated this moment. Hated it all. She wanted to curse the gods for tearing apart her little family. Her friends were her world. Her sister was most likely dead. And now the sister of her heart had fallen. She knew that once Nancy was out of the hell hole she was in they'd go together, probably with little Andy, to find Mads. They'd get her back.

"We'll get her back, Nancy. We knew this was going to happen, we will get her back." But as she spoke she realized no sound was coming through. Nancy was quiet though obviously crying. She should be getting the sounds of her cries, but there was nothing. The silence was all-encompassing. "Nancy!" She called out, yelling, hoping her friend could hear her. But there was no reaction from her. Nancy was lost in her own grief, and Niah's screams could not penetrate. Into view came Zeke.

"Oh, thank goodness. Zeke! Mads is gone. I had to tell Nancy and now..." She trailed off. It was obvious what the now was. And she wasn't sure if he could hear her.

Andy raised an eyebrow. So the pair of them were connected via Zari's mom, which meant her dad too. There seemed to be a lot of kids here that were children from that group. Andy didn't know much about them, but they had been operating when she was around. They were a secret group that had done missions for S.H.I.E.L.D., and that was about all Andy really knew. She felt a bit awkward around any of those kids, and of course Danni and Dorian, really more around Danni and Dorian. She may appear the same age as all of them but they had been born the year she had traveled to the future or shortly after. To her they were babies. That was probably the most difficult part of all of the time travel. She was glad that Mads didn't seem to be connected to any of them that way, it made the friendship with her a bit easier.

Then she heard Victoria yelling. She turned, the girl was at the front of the line but had apparently decided last moment to back out and not go in. She wondered why. Andy turned her attention back to Zari and Mary Sue.

"Must be scary." She gave a small shrug. Andy loved scary things so she wasn't worried about that. "So you've never met each other?" She asked a bit surprised. Their parents were friends (or had worked together) so she was surprised about that.

"Things could have been better. I am thankful we are all reunited." Ed smiled at Antoinette. Something was calming about her presence. He appreciated her.

"Good, glad you're feeling better, Lance." Ed wasn't fond of trying to heal people he couldn't see at all. His distance healing was normally across a battlefield. He shifted his attention to Mary who was to give the group direction.

Plans were laid out. They as a group would deal with Cortez. Ed considered what he could do. His normal tactic of locking down someone in a bubble wouldn't help here. He might put him in a half bubble so the group could hit him but not allow him to run away. He wondered if his shield could prevent Cortez from enhancing anyone's powers.

The thoughts were cut off when a fire flared and threw him into a wall. He had burns and hurt from hitting the wall. Ed winced and stood assessing his own injuries and the rest of the group. He wasn't sure what had happened but it had been big. The rattling of the walls hadn't helped the situation or his thoughts about why it might have happened. Magneto's little project was breaking at the seams already.

Ed looked around the group, Peitro, Guin and Bethany had disappeared, and everyone else looked at least a little hurt. He could try to do a mass healing on everyone he had hair for. Everyone else would have to wait. He placed his hand on the inner pockets of his jacket that contained the tiny vials of hair that had been neatly labeled (he still needed to label Jaclyn's, but at least he had her hair). Orange light emanated from his hand and then brushed against each person. The worst of the burns were cooled and reduced. People still had wounds, but they wouldn't be passing out from pain or anything now.

"Sure, we can do the haunted house." Andy was not afraid of that sort of thing. She enjoyed it more than the average person to be honest. As they were walking toward the Haunted House Mary Sue came over and said hi.

"Hey, Mary Sue. Uh, have you met my girlfriend? This is Zari. Zari, this is Mary Sue she's on my team. She does cool constructs. I don't really know how it works, but they are useful." Andy did like Mary Sue, though the girl seemed rather nervous and uptight. "We were going to the Haunted house. Do you want to join us?" She offered.

Andy glanced and saw a line forming by the haunted house. She frowned, wondering if it'd be worth waiting in line or swinging by it when things had calmed down. She also wondered when they'd be doing announcements. She wouldn't want to be in the house when the announcements were made. That'd either interrupt the fun of the house or she'd miss the announcement.

"I think I have enough control to not make out in the middle of a battle." Rose rolled her eyes at Layla, but she was smiling. Of course, she'd love to kiss Cassie, but as much as she wanted to now was not the time or place for it. After all the enemies were dealt with seemed more reasonable.

And there were ten new guards to deal with. She lifted her bow, knocked an arrow, and started firing. She figured hitting Maleficent wasn't going to be easy, but she was happy being support and taking out guards. Before she could get off the arrow though Rosalia crushed the guards with a chandelier, it was cliche and hilarious. So she shifted and shot at Maleficent. She sent as many arrows as she could in quick succession, but Maleficient blocked them all.

Jack had opened the gate for them, giving them access to the courtyard of the castle. How he did that Colby wasn't sure, but whatever they were there now. Guards started coming at them. There was also a bull for some reason, but it wasn't being aggressive so that wasn't his problem.

Colby cast a fireball in the crowd of oncoming guards. A few fell to the flames, but there were still a lot of them. Colby cast another one, this time they seemed to be anticipating it since they dodged it. A third was musted but this one went wide and missed everyone. He needed a moment to compose himself. And figure out a new tactic.

Andy pulled herself together. Stepping away from the goddess she had been ugly crying on. She dried her face off with her sleeve. "Uh, thanks. And sorry. I didn't...mean to cry like that." She said, while shifting, not quite looking Persephone in the face. "I want to send an Iris message too. I need to talk to Arthur." She didn't know what she would say, but she wanted to see him. Wanted his reassurance that he'd help.

She stepped away and found a bit of rainbow. But the Iris message wasn't working. It should have. There was a rainbow. She frowned. "Chocolate," She leaned down and pet the dog. She wanted to ask him why he wasn't with Arthur. But the dog couldn't talk.

Andy sighed and rejoined the others. "Maybe Arbor can play with Chocolate." Andy suggested to the girl her age. She realized she did not remember her name, but that would be super embarrassing to say. Maybe she'd introduce herself to Damon and she'd be saved that embarrassment. To the others, she said, "I can't get an Iris to connect with Arthur." She frowned.

Niah wasn't a hundred percent sure where Nancy was, but she guessed likely already in the Lotus Hotel. She cursed at herself. Of course, she was. Here Niah had to tell her the worst news in the worst place.

"Mads fell. She's in Tarturs." Niah didn't know all the details, just that the stupid prophecy had come true. That one of her best friends was gone. Andy had said it, and Mary had given her the damn crystal, which was now carefully tucked into her backpack.

She wished she could reach through the Iris message and hug Nancy. The three of them getting split up was the worst thing. Together they could have handled anything. Anger at the gods flashed through her but was quickly squelched. They had a lot less say in fate than they acted like they did. They were stuck in their stories, dragging the rest of them along.

Andy smiles at Zari's comment. She wonders if she realizes she said that Asguardians look for excuses to party, after saying there was no reason to look for an excuse. Entering the dance hall Andy is a tad overwhelmed. There are a bunch of students. She doesn't think she had seen this many students in one place since the first day fair.

"What do you want to do first? Food, drinks, or dancing?" She looks around the room, trying to spot friends. She spots Mary Sue, who seems to be talking to a couple of teachers. She liked Nemo. He was kind and didn't mark her too harshly for her terrible spelling.

Ed was thankful for the distraction from the building tensions when Lance came up to him. He glanced over Jaclyn assessing her wounds.

"Ah yes, thank you." He said, carefully placing the strand of hair from Jaclyn into a vial. He would label it after he healed her. While it was clear she wouldn't drop dead in a moment if he didn't heal her, she was probably in a lot of pain.

Normally he would ask for permission, the first time he healed someone, but as she had just given him a strand of her hair that was permission as far as he was concerned. He cast his healing spell. Orange light eminated around Jaclyn healing her wounds.

"Does that feel better?" He wanted to make sure she was totally okay before they went and dealt with Cortez. "And you Lance? How are you doing?" Healing Lance the way he had wasn't the best. He wanted to check that he was fully alright as well. Especially considering he had apparently broke his legs. Max's message had been completely garbled, so he hadn't been completely sure what had been asked of him.

Undead dragons. Sure why not? Rose had decided radical acceptance was the only way to deal with this place. She was able to not get hit by any debris. "I'm good. That was close, but I lived. How are you doing?" She smiled. Rose wasn't an adrenaline junkie, but she did enjoy somewhat risky things at times. This had pushed her a bit farther than she would go on her own, but she didn't think it would traumatize her. She had been able to save herself, and if not then yes it probably would have.

She was tired of the magic solutions, that was her biggest issue with this place. Magic was always the answer. There had to be a better way, though she didn't like the idea of guns. Those always seemed like cheating. Maybe that's how she considered magic too. However, they did now have a clear way to get into the room Malificent was supposedly in. She started into the room, slowly, ready for a fight.

Colby was tempted to tell Megan and Gabriella to get a room. The fighting had calmed down some. Having an undead army really seemed to help. He didn't blame anyone that was running away from this right now.

He surveyed the fight trying to assess what threats were left and start dealing with them. There was some fighting not far from them. He tried to drop a fireball on the mess but it fizzled, which he thought might be for the best anyway. He considered what he could do that wouldn't be a threat to their side, but would continue to be the distraction the other group needed.

Andy had done her best to hold it together. She hated that as soon as they had come out of the Labyrinth there had been a fight. She wanted to rest. She wanted to grieve a little. Of course, she knew that she and Arthur, and Nancy and Niah would go for Mads. There was no way they'd let her stay down there. But she had watched her aunt, her only blood family turn to dust. Andy didn't know how long it took for monsters to reconstitute, but the time between that and them being able to rescue Mads was too long, it didn't matter how long.

There were arms wrapped around her. She hadn't even realized it at first. But she was crying into them. The person felt comforting, like hot cocoa on a cold day. After a moment she was able to pull herself together again. She nodded. "We were in the Labyrinth. My aunt...she is in Tartus." She wasn't going to explain everything about Mads, but that was what the others needed to know. That was what Niah already knew.

It was raining...Was that her fault?

Niah frowned looking up at the clouds that had formed. That'd make sending an Iris message more difficult. She needed light to make the rainbow. She wasn't certain if the storm had been Andy's doing, or if it was just the mist's way of covering the sudden lightning storm the child had created. Niah let Perseophne handle comforting Andy and walked a few feet away to try to get an Iris message sent.

Getting a rainbow was the tough part. It was raining. But finding a spot where some sunlight shone through to make the proper rainbow was harder than expected. It took her a moment to find a spot that seemed right. She did the normal thing and tossed one of the Greek coins, but nothing happened. She adjusted her position. The rainbow was there...but weak. She quickly tossed the coin and asked Iris to connect her to Nancy.

An image of Nancy appeared. She looked like she had been crying, and Niah couldn't see her all that well. The image was distorted and fuzzy. It brought to her mind a memory of when she was little and holding the rabbit ears of the TV to try to improve the reception. She smiled at the old memory and the face of one of her best friends.

"Nancy, I don't know how well this will hold. It is raining here and there are clouds, so the rainbow can disappear any moment." She trailed off. How do you tell your friend that the third part of their soul is gone? "I love you, Nancy."
