Satoshi Shimura

In an alternate universe, the exact same scenario was happening in Suna, only with Konoha trying to rescue one of their own instead of the reverse. As Satoshi went to his desk and began writing down the information held by his possible self, information he may not retain in his memory once he dispelled his technique, he suddenly realized that this was not a coincidence: There might - might - be something or someone stoking the flames of war across multiple villages and nations.

Driven by the urgency of this knowledge, Satoshi almost forgot to end his transformation after writing down what he knew. But he managed to do so before opening the curtains of his window, then the window itself, then conspiciously rooftop-jumping towards where one Hikari Hyuuga was taking potshots at the enemy. Landing just beside the Hyuuga heir, Satoshi spoke bluntly, "They're not after the students or the civilian population of Konoha; they want our prisoner."

He hid the fact that in that possible universe/timeline, Konoha had sent an infilitrator with an identical mission to what the Suna Ninja had in this universe; therefore Satoshi had managed to find out what this mission was... But that raised too many questions about his technique and what exactly it was capable of, so he was not revealing it.

Uzumaki Ren

Uzumaki Ren took a more direct approach to Mu; the boy went over to his fellow Ninja student and poked him directly in the forehead, before saying, "If Lin psyched you out, don't let him do that. I've seen you make those neat wooden devices that can be used as weapons and also tools for taijutsu and I think they're very creative and effective - You just need to make more of them and make them better. I mean, seriously, I'd love to have you on my team when we graduate, and I'm not just saying that because I feel sorry for you or because you're cute - Ignore that last part, please."

He then took a deep breath and said firmly, "Look, point is, you can be a great ninja if you push past Lin making you cry. So believe in yourself."

Don't add anything corny, Uzumaki Ren! the young man thought before he looked at Kasumi's frowning face and spoke, "Are you worried about something? If so, you look like we should worry too; you look like my Mom when there's actual danger going on..."

So - I'm thinking - we'll finish off this introduction with the "intruders" then do a time skip to the Genin practical exam.

I can decide what the practical exam is or do you guys wanna think it up together? @Letter Bee@Randomguy

I have no idea for the practical exam, sadly.
<Snipped quote by Letter Bee>

Oh, umm, lemme think...

Maybe he could find an alternate who grew up as a Suna ninja. In that universe, they're currently experiencing the exact same scenario but vice versa, replace Suna intruders with Konoha intruders.

Hmm... I see. So not very useful unless there is someone or something setting the nations against one another.
Kasumi is like an anti-social cat that everyone wants to pet.

What information does Satoshi get from his Mirror of Possibilities technique, btw?
Should we wait for Virgil?

Question of the Day: Can you describe an AU member of the Akastuki? (Keep it short, haha.)

Even though he's my friend, I say no; he has a habit of just delaying posting for days without warning.
In Hello 10 mos ago Forum: Introduce Yourself
Hi everyone!
I'm new to this site and thought I would introduce myself.
My name is Cecy, and as my username suggests, I love cats. I prefer group roleplays to 1X1 and I usually like to participate in fandom RP's. Some of my fandoms include Percy Jackson, Warriors, The Hunger Games, and Wings Of Fire. I am friendly but I'm quite an introvert IRL. I enjoy reading, singing, and writing songs, and I love musicals. Nice to meet y'all! :)

Happy to meet you; as someone who runs a Group Roleplay, I'm happy to see a fellow fan of them.
AAcademy

The eighteen-year-old now lived on the top floor of the New AAcademy building to save up on costs; this meant extra noise from the students and faculty below, but he can live with that. He can also live with the fact that the set of rooms reserved for his living space was not as luxurious as what he had been accustomed to in his childhood and early adolescence; it was servicible and that's what counted - This was a price that was worth it to earn his early independence.

His routine was simple: Wake up, take a shower, put on some proper clothes just in case he needed to do some teleconferencing, and take some time to sort through the news - Global, Local, and finally, what was relevant to himself and his institution of learning, an institution whose original domain name and intellectual property - Araska Academy - he had bought at great cost.

Ken Illustrious Ikari, the young headmaster of AAcademy, cared about his students; each of them had been chosen due to their raw talents and capacity for dilligence, and he saw in them the future of the nation, maybe even the world if he was lucky enough to live to see it. And Ken knew he should not count on luck, not when Arasaka was petty enough to sic the Tyger Claws on himself, the people he had hired to be his faculty, and of course, the teenagers, some only slightly younger than himself, who had trusted him with their education.

He was not going to stand for this, but the youth knew that the wrong move could get him and his students killed - Use too much force and the Tyger Claws would retaliate in kind, use too little and they'd think him easy pickings. Thankfully, Ken knew the right guy for the job; shame the guy did not like Corpos and he counted as one. So he was going to have to go through the offical Fixers to get Nikolai's Dragovich's services and pay extra for that. Speaking of which, he had to make sure that his sources of income hadn't dried up while he had been asleep; you never knew when you had enemies with a decent Netrunner on board.

His work computer did not seem like it had been tampered with; either physically or in the software world. Thank God for small favors. His investments in Africa also did not seem to be harmed much; even better, because he needed those to pay for hiring Mr. Dragovich.

Considering how one Hallelujah Pritchard had connections to the original Arasaka Academy, Ken thought he should also hire her, if only as a cheaper option if Nikolai was off the table for whatever reason. And if both of them were available, well... He can afford to splurge for the both of them.

Call from... Shinsei Ikari. Y/N?

Ken always had time for his parents. He loved them, they loved him, and they allowed him to pursue his dream despite their reservations. So he can afford to press the holographic, Y that appeared in his line of sight; that was the least he can do.

"Hello, Ken," Shinji Shinsei Ikari's voice sounded over the Cyberaudio implanted directly into Ken's head. "How are you doing? We miss you all the way from Hakone, you know. Your mother doesn't show it, but she's worried that you might be in danger; as it is, the higher-ups don't look too kindly on us allowing you to buy the Arasaka Academy name for your birthday that day - You know how paranoid they are; they think you knew the pullout was going to happen..."

Ken retorted, repeating this song and dance for any eavesdropper's benefit, "Even if I did, they wouldn't have believed me. I mean, I was... Fifteen or so when the calamity happened - No matter how high my IQ was, I couldn't have been taken seriously!"

Shinsei could not help but chuckle, before saying, "As I and Maki keep explaining to them; there was nothing we could have done."

Then his tone changed into a sigh, "Other people died, though; some of them, we even cared about. I won't begrudge you your secrets, but Ken... Dont cross Arasaka more than you already have - You're going to need some bridges with us if your dream is to come true."

Huh, Dad has a spine after all... Ken thought before Shinsei continued:

"That said, one or two local bands of Tyger Claws around your territory are expendable," Ken's father continued. "You're allowed to chase them off, but make sure your students do not antagonize them; any aggression or provocation on their part and their protection comes off - Got it?"

Ken's nod was audible.

"Good, now get back to hiring your Edgerunners; if you want to be independent, young man, you'd better do it right..." Shinsei trailed off before turning off the call.

Question of the Day:

What would be your character's cheating method for the Chunin Written Exam?

Ren: "I don't know for sure, but it probably involves a Crane Summon and a few Transformations."
Uzumaki Ren

Uzumaki Ren grits his teeth, one hand hovering above his Kunai handle as he says to Lin, "Get away from me and Mu. But if you want to fight me, name a time and place - I'll be happy to make you eat dirt any day."

He was not a pushover, especially not when this scumbag had exhausted most of his patience. Nevertheless, he was not someone who casually violated the rules either, so Ren nodded as Lin said something about them being too easy and this being a 'prank', and said with a forced smile that did not pretend to be sincere, "On the other hand, maybe we were just too easy and we fell for what you said. We'll be going now, then, Lin; hope to see you later!"

Or not at all, he thought bitterly as he followed Kasumi and Mu to the market square, which the former knew somewhat better than even he did - Something to rectify. Either way, when Kasumi brought up choices of what to eat, Ren tried to school himself into calm eagerness and then chose more than one of the options offered.

"Ramen first, then frozen treats," Ren said before heading for the ramen bar and saying, "Umm... Do each of us pay for ourselves, or does one of us pay for the whole bunch? I mostly pay for myself, but I have had very few friends before and they always paid or my parents paid for them."

One thing to observe was that Ren was not an Orphan; his parents were accomplished Shinobi with blood on their hands, and Ren was not so naive to think that they were completely good people, although he appreciated it that they tried. And they loved him and he loved them back, and despite their duties to the village, they tried to keep him happy.

And so I'll make sure others are happy as well. But how? How do we get peace and understanding between us all?

Sounds good. Kasumi won’t have any particular complaints if it’s someplace she suggested, especially if things start off with something approximating “actual food”, rather than empty deserts. I think you have the go ahead to finish what I started and just basically bring the students right to wherever you choose in your next post; I decided to merely use Kasumi’s for setup.

Thanks, but I just woke up less than two hours ago, am tired out, and have not eaten breakfast yet.
