*laughs and pats your back hard before taking a few steps away*
Collin, yes. I know you, but not in a way that is personal. I know everyone! It's a hobby of mine to meet people in this small, small world.
*sticks out my hand*
Pleasure to formally meet ya, Collin! Don't worry, you won't drop touching me.
*My expression was somewhat dry, as I took his hand and shook carefully, still minding my strength just in case.*
Oh, I suppose I guess I expected you to have sensed it already, but I wasn't really concerned about dying. Since most tales of "Death" as a being tend to revolve around those with a bit of concern over the cosmic balance, I was more worried about your stance on people that sort of sit outside the conventional life/death cycles. Which, you know...
*I gestured at Alna and the vampire-looking guy, Vinashy.*
We got these guys sure, and it's not that I can't die, more-so that I don't exactly stay dead. I'm genuinely not even entirely sure how it works myself. That's a bit too high-concept for me, since I did it on accident honestly. But probably, the reason I keep getting banished from other dimensions is that people can't get rid of me otherwise. I mean, the first time around, it was basically an all-star line-up of my world's godly pantheons, and they were pissed that I'd somehow outdone them in terms of immortality.

*Taps cane against the floor a couple times, staring in the direction of the fireplace.*
You'd be correct to say it is hard to wholly accept I'm anything but an altruist but everyone has a very different idea of right and wrong you see. There is nary a catch just a request, since you are stuck the least you can do is help keep out any riffraff that might invade. You don't need to mind you and as a gentleman I'd never force my will unto another as it would be rude.
*I raised a skeptical brow at that, but shrugged in acceptance*
Okaaay, sure, I'll bite. My apologies, I don't exactly have the best experience with god-like beings as far as altruism is concerned. But sure, I'd be a pretty poor guest if I wasn't willing to act as a defender in times of need.
