Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

The old man listened patiently to the trainer, nodding a few times. He didn't mind the young trainer was rambling, it was nice to see enthusiastic young trainers on the island. The abrupt departure of the haughty girl wasn't unexpected, nor unwelcome. Luckily most trainers who came to the islands were not like that.

"Thomas Redcliff," he introduced himself. "Born and raised on Rhando. I am not the gym leader, although you were correct to assume he doesn't need to walk around with a ground type." He glanced down to his silent Houndoom before he faced the trainer again. "He has a Nidorino as his partner, but he doesn't use him in the official gym battles." He had a smile on his face. "I watched young Henri grow up, get his Nidoran, build the gym on this island." He nodded a bit. "I'm sure you will have a good battle."

Professor Maple looked up when someone talked to her. "Ah, a ranger," she said. "Jolin will like that. I do have some things you could look into for me." She paused when Sarah entered the room and nodded. "I do have an assignment, but it is a dangerous one, so I can't let you do it by yourself." She glanced to the ranger. "Unless miss ranger here will be willing to assist you. There is supposed to be a giant Onix in the rocky area up north, but it hasn't been sighted for a while. Please seek it out and register it to the dex if you find it."

@BladeSS4 The old man turned to the young trainer with the Absol when he was being addressed. "Thank you," he said, putting a hand on the head of the Houndoom. "Welcome to the islands. I do know where the gym is, yes." He gestured to the door. "When you leave the Center you go straight until you can turn right. Follow that road and you will reach the gym. You will recognise it when you see it: the walls look like they were made of mud, with a red curved roof on top. And on the door is the symbol for Ground."

He nodded to the counter. "Are you waiting for your Pokémon to treated by the capable nurse Joy?" he asked.

Mr. Jonhnson nodded once and gestured to the seat as a silent invitation to sit down and begin her report. He took place on his own comfortable desk-chair. Of course he would double-check with Benjamin later, and he had hoped it would have been the human to come report, but this would have to do.

Benjamin was glad Steph showed some other emotion than the self-loathing she had expressed earlier. "You know," he said as he began to walk. "I don't just like being with you. I like you. And while I kinda knew that before, it really dawned on me during lunch. Because when I saw that name of the cocktail, the Succubus kiss..." he stopped so he could look at Steph. "All I could think was: I would like that." The corners of his lips curled up in a small smile. "And I'm not talking about the cocktail."
After Mabel landed she put the little ones down and examined every inch of the rooftop, but there weren't any other Pokémon there. That was good. She sat down and looked at the other two. "You look good," she said to Charcoal. "Blaze will be surprised when he sees you again."

Penalopy waited in the alley for the others to come, sitting on a garbage container. The girl was first to enter, followed by the adorable Gavin.
"Meloetta," Mindy said as she carefully approached the Legendary. "I can't believe it."
"Melo?" Penalopy said, pretending for a moment she couldn't speak the language, although she was one of the few legendaries that didn't need a human form to speak their language. She looked perfectly happy when she waved at Gavin.
"She's been really excited ever since she spotted Gavin," James said. "I'm sure she will calm down after she talked with him."

"Pfft, Whahahaha!" Bear almost doubled over as he laughed. "I want to see that! Quick, someone pour water over Missy! I want to see her as a little fluffy furball!"
"We're not going to do that," Michael said.
"Remember when Andy used the hairdryer to dry you?" Benny asked.
"Shut up!"
"You fluffed up pretty well yourself," Benny teased, flying a little higher to avoid the jumping Bear from grabbing him.

Andy looked at the woman, he had no idea what she was talking about, but that didn't matter. "I did manage to get up this morning," he stated with a grin, "quite an accomplishment if I say so myself." He put a hand in his side. "But as flattering as it is, I'm not that young. I mean, I know I still look the part," he added with confidence in his voice.

Benjamin blinked at Ari, this was one of the last things he had expected to hear. And Ray and Dia seemed to be supportive of her, maybe this talk was a good idea. Obviously "You had to be enraged before you could take control?" he asked.
While it wasn't the question he had initially wanted to ask, it wasn't a bad starting question either.
"Good. Don't disappoint me," Trevor said to Duncan, but when he heard Alan's words he looked over his shoulder to glare at the man. By doing that he noticed the Hermit looked at him. "What?" he barked.
The Hermit looked expectantly at him, then at Noble, then back at him.
"No."
The Hermit rose an eyebrow and crossed his arms.
Trevor let out an exasperated sigh. "Fine. If he takes Gnols invitation and goes to the dwarves then I will go with him. That way I'll at least be able to drink a decent ale." His eyes shot daggers when he saw the pleased look of the Hermit and turned his back at him.
The old dragon let out a deep, rumbling sound. It sounded as if he was laughing. "You remind me of myself," he said to Trevor, which Trevor ignored.

Mikhal looked at Trevor. "If you will go to the dwarves, then I will go to the Dragon Sanctuary. I have been to the dwarves many times and I will be unable to forgive myself if I pass on that opportunity." He turned to Gnol. "While I do enjoy your company, the dragon sanctuary is more appealing to me. I can be of little assistance when it comes to discussing politics with the dwarves anyway. But do give my regards to Ebkor, if he is there and not travelling somewhere to sell his wares."

"We will go back to the Order," Rachel said, and Fiona nodded to show her approval. It was the only logical place to go for her, and plenty of people seemed to be heading to the dragon sanctuary anyway.

Meria smiled at Ricky. "I would love to have you with us," she said to her. When she heard Mikhal mention he'd go with them she turned to the bard and gave him a warm smile, his company was certainly welcome. "We'll have a bard with us too. That will surely make the travel more pleasant."
@JrVader @BladeSS4 An old man sitting in the Pokémon Center looked at the young woman who seemed to think she owned the place, the Houndoom laying beside him watched her movements in silence. He giggled as the young man responded to her and the Houndoom looked at the growling Absol.

@Salenea @CitrusArms There were brochures with places of interest available in the Pokémon Center, but close to the busstop was also a sign showing the most important places. One of the arrows pointed in the direction of the Rorie Laboratory.

The building itself had off-white brick walls and a black roof. A silver plaque next to the door showed the streetnumber and the name of the building. While the city stretched out to the left and the right, there seemed to be no building behind the lab, just trees. The area behind the laboratory had a fence around it and several Pokémon could be seen in the grass.

Inside the lab where several rooms dedicated to research or storage, and a few offices for the senior researchers. Professor Maple was in laboratory 1, where she checked some data in a computer. Two assistants were with her, one of them copied all the numbers she read to the clipboard he was holding.
In her Pokémon form, can Meloetta speak only the Pokémon language, or also the human language?
Mabel took Charcoal and Ixia in her arms and gently flew back to the rooftop. "I agree, Ixia, let's not do that again," she said. "I'm sure that Honchkrow won't return, but I'll have a look at the rooftop garden just to make sure." she definitely didn't want this to happen again either.
"How did it feel to fly?" She asked Charcoal. The exhaustion was unsurprising, when she had just evolved she hadn't had the stamine to fly long distances either.

When Mindy heard the gasp she looked at Gavin and then at what he was looking at. Her jaw dropped. "Is... is that... Meloetta?" she asked.
Penalopy waved to the human girl who gaped at her and jumped to the next streetlight. She continued jumping until she found an alley and went in there.
The moment she started jumping James jogged after her. "Wait, Penalopy!"
"Let's see where the Meloetta is going!" Mindy said as she ran to where the Meloetta went, looking ahead at the alley the Legendary Pokémon had disappeared into.

"I would honestly hate that," Lytse said, shuddering at the thought of being drenched in water.
"I like water," Marie commented from Michael's shoulder. "Especially when it's warm outside."
"I don't like to get my fur wet," Bear stated.
Michael listened to all the Pokémon sharing their thoughts about getting drenched. They wouldn't have to fear that in this gym, just like fighting most normal moves were physical.

"Articuno?" Kim repeated. "We met her once! We were in the mountain and there was a blizzard. Andy collapsed, but I was with him and when I called for help she came. She called Jynx to get Andy in their cave. The next day when we were getting ready to leave she came by to say goodbye too." She walked along as talked, next to the hopping Varina.
Andy didn't know what his Pokémon was talking about, but it was nice to see Kim talked to Varina. He went through an aisle with books on either side and on the other side he turned left, where he walked between the aisles to see where the computers were. He stopped when he noticed a Delibird and its female trainer.
"Enter!" mr. Johnson said, turning to the door. He didn't have any planned meetings, but with a position as his it wasn't uncommon to have agent knocking on the door for questions or mission reports.

"Actually, I don't," Benjamin said. "I mean, sure I have other stuff I can do, but none of it is more important than you." He stepped in her direction. "Please don't assume things, I like being with you, Steph. And I don't see a demon when I look at you, I see you." He gestured to the building. "Would you like to go on that walk with me? Just around the mansion."
