Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

Marc stopped in front of the building and looked at the door. With the plants and the light colours the place looked like a good one. And he enjoyed working here. He turned to Sara. "Do you want me to walk with you to the desk?" he asked.
A part of him didn't want her to go inside; there she'd be a patient again.

But after today she wouldn't be a patient much longer; she had shown to be in control of her mental illness and, as far as he was concerned, she was capable of living in the society. As long as she would take her medication of course. But in the end that was up to the psychiatrist; he didn't have the authority or the proper education to make any decision in that regard.

Benjamin sat down on the bed as well. It was interesting to hear all that, not too hard to grasp either. If someone was willing to believe in spirits, which many people did not.
"Maybe we should look for Dia," he said, checking the time. "We still have a little time before everyone has to be in their beds."
The almost prison-like lights out mentality was one of the many things he disliked about this place. Almost everything here felt like a prison.
We have 2 entries now :) Looking forward to seeing more!
When Andy turned to look at Frosiien her lips collided with his. He blinked and he returned the smile when she smiled at him. "Cold? I don't know yet." He gently took her by the shoulders and kissed her again.
He heard some voices behind them, but he didn't really listen to it.
"Yep, they are cold," he said once he stepped back again and he winked. "As a scientist, I can't conclude anything unless the first result is replicated in a second test."

Michael watched it happen and then looked at the angry Mitch. His uncle was either ignoring him, or didn't understand him. He shook his head at his uncle's explanation for the second kiss.

Mindy turned to Gavin and paused. "A train is a vehicle used for transportation. It runs on tracks and usually big cities have stations where it can stop and people can get on and off." She figured he probably didn't know about the train-dilemma either. "You see, in ethics they have a dilemma: a train approaches a switch in the tracks and you can't stop the train, going to the right there is one person tied on the track who will die if the train runs over him, on the right track are five people tied up. So you have to decide which track you will go on: will you kill one person or the group of five? We debated that for an hour in professor Bansing's class."

Yes! You're almost there! Keep it up @Stormflyx

I'm at 28k myself, so I'm over the halfway point. I usually write between 1800 and 2200 words, but yesterday I did 3500. My personal best this month ^_^
"I'm sure in time he'll see what an awesome guy I am," Andy said, knowing very well people generally still didn't like him after getting to know him better. But then again, he wasn't here to be liked by everyone. Honestly, that would be boring. "Merlin still doesn't like me either," he told her. "I don't know how he puts up with me."

Mindy had an excited grin on her face and nodded, this would be so awesome. And she would do this with friends, and her former professor.
"Do you still teach ethics?" she asked.
"Of course. I still need professor Maple to approve of my new hands-on teaching method that I want to implement. There's nothing like exploring the train-dilemma by tying up students to a track and let one of them drive a train, am I right?"
"You're joking, right?"
"Of course I am! I'd drive the train myself, why would I let a student have all the fun?"
Mindy groaned, feeling sorry for professor Maple, and Michael laughed.

"He is joking," Michael said, in case some of the legendary Pokémon or their companions thought otherwise.
It was nice walking like this. They had left the city behind and had entered the forest. He didn't mind how long the walk would be, it was a nice day and he was in good company. He glanced to Niccia. Very good company.

Once Sara was seated, Marc started the car and drove back to the asylum. He was glad that she had had a good time. That he was responsible for the best fun she ever had. It was sad too, that she had never experienced things like this before. That meant he had to make sure she would experience it again.

As he got closer to the asylum a part of him wanted to turn into another direction, but he knew he couldn't. So he just followed the road back to the building.

Benjamin shrugged at the question if that was what had happened to Dia. He didn't know; it was just a theory after all and there was no way to test it with just one person and two spirits.
"Okay, I can understand that. She hasn't been alone much, has she?" He didn't mind the company at all, so if Ari didn't need to leave she was welcome to stay.
Mr Johnson nodded. "Okay," he said, choosing his words with care. "Last I heard your teammates were still at the base. Reliable as they are, I'm sure they're still here somewhere; they don't wander off without telling you, right? Well. Gaia sometimes does, but who can blame her?" He turned to Harriet. "Go find them and then you should help that person who is going to die if you don't."

The agent nodded as he drove off over the gravel in the driveway. "We'll get them in due time. I'm sure Rudrig will be ordered to send out a team soon."
Looking in his mirrors he noticed the other agents that had helped to get these abominations in the van, and the three guys climbing out of the window. Soon the van reached the gate and drove onto the road, pushing down the pedal to get to the compound fast.

The three friends watched the van drive off. "Who is in that van?" Ethan asked the closest agent. He narrowed his eyes when he saw the evidence of something large having been dragged to where the van had been standing.

"None of your concerns," the agent replied curtly, female judging by the sound of her voice, "you have a mission to prepare for. Focus on that. We all have our own missions." She turned to Mike. "Like you had your mission too. Well done. You'll be a valuable asset to our team."

Mike didn't look happy at all. At least she wasn't telling Ben anything new, because he had already come clean with him. But it didn't make him feel better about this situation.

"And you should go back to reading those reports for the boss," she sneered as she turned to Benjamin.

"Like hell I will!" Benjamin replied. "If this is how you people operate I don't want to be a part of this! Where is Steph?"

Rudrig grabbed his phone when he received a text message and he read the order: now Carl and Jase had to be brought in? Without a word he left his room and went straight to Morrison's room. He was about to know on the door when it opened and the agent stood in the doorway.
"Rudrig, what's up?"
"You had a mission with Carl and Jase last. Do you know where I could find them?"
"Huh, I guess Carl was right then." He showed Rudrig the text. "What the fuck is going?"
"I don't know. All I know is that Rose transformed today and now they are taking her to the base where they hide the dangerous or unknown creatures. I heard something about other beasts being brought in today, but I'm not informed about which beasts. I can make an educated guess though."
Morrison grumbled something. "That succubus and that dragongirl. Good riddance I'd say." He shrugged. "I don't know where they are and I have vampires to hunt. You're on your own." He walked passed Rudrig and made his way down for some coffee.
@BrokenPromiseYou caught me XD I did write that one. And yes, you're right. I definitely need to go back to change that.
"Sure, I'll know where to find you," Marc said. He knew he could look up her appointments, and something would probably be mentioned at the meeting at the change of the shift. It wasn't a big place, it would be odd if he wouldn't see her all day.
He thought about how to do this; daypasses weren't handed out in this facility, something he had always found odd. But this was a specialized place where they treated the more difficult cases.

They got where the car was parked and Marc unlocked the door. "I had a great time today," he told her before getting in. "And we'll do this again sometime."

Benjamin listened to Ari's amazement and he felt her push against his back - faint, but the feeling was there. "You know, this is just a theory of course, but if the ability to have a shape depends on her mental state, I mean if she's unaware you two are reduced to orbs, then maybe when someone other than Ray is aware of your existence, that also affects you?"
It sounded like a wild guess, but at least it was a theory that explained both the events.

They reached his room and he opened the door. "I don't know what you want to do, but if you want to go back to Ray you may. She's probably not used to be alone and she doesn't have Dia with her now."
Speaking of which, where was Dia now?
Rudrig picked up the phone; a frown creased his forehead as he went over the data Freya had gathered. He barely looked up when she left the door and he only partly listened to her fading footsteps. He sat down with the phone in his hand, reading everything Freya had collected.
When everything was read he shook his head and put the phone down. He rubbed his temples. What now?

He took his phone to call that expert; he had examined Rose, he had to know what was going on. It wasn't that he didn't trust Freya, if there was anyone in this building he'd trust without a second thought it was her. But he needed to know if Stuart had sent her there.

Mr Johnsson sighed and brought the walkie-talkie up. "Okay, take them away now. We'll deal with the males later." He muted the damn thing so there wouldn't be any more inconvenient messages. "Some beasts prowled outside our base," he explained, hoping Harriet would believe that. "Attacked some of our agents. Lesser demons, probably," he made a dismissive gesture with his hand. "And the females have apparently been caught." He nodded to the spikes, that was the best way to keep her busy. "But that is not our concern; we have a human to save, they will die if we don't act fast. How fast can you get there?"

With all the three female beasts in the van, one of the agents quickly climbed into the van and started the engine. He had heard the order from their boss and he waited for another agent to join him in the passenger seat before he could drive away.
The others could continue looking for the male beasts.

Ethan rushed down the stairs and to the front door, followed closely by Benjamin and Mike. He stopped when he thought he heard Gaia. Sorry? Why did she apologize? For what? If she was in trouble and he couldn't help her, he was the one who had to fucking apologize. He grabbed the front door, but it was locked. Why was the damned door locked?
He was ready to break down the door when Mike grabbed his shoulder.
"There is a window in the next room."
"Right. Good thinking."
The three of them ran to the room and Benjamin opened the window, but by the looks of it they were already too late.
