Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

Ever since I wrote a Harry Potter fic I was playing with the idea that the song of mermaids/sirens affects those that have a sexual preference for the gender of the siren who is singing. The reason there are stories about sailors being smitten by mermaids is because they fall in love with women; a male siren wouldn't have the same effect on them. But lesbians and bisexuals would be equally affected by a female siren. And the song of a male siren would affect straight women, gay men and bisexuals, but straight men and lesbians not so much.
Do you have a preference as to how siren songs affect humans in this RP? If you don't have anything ready, I have an idea we could discuss, but since you have a siren character I assume you already have a plan.
Morrison stopped when Harriet asked her question and shrugged. "Go for it," he said. "The building will be demolished soon anyway, one more broken wall won't matter." He glanced around for a moment, everything seemed clear at the moment. "I can stay on the lookout here as long as you're inside, or go inside with you if you expect trouble there."
At this moment he didn't care Harriet wasn't a human; as far as he was aware the relations with her kind were good, and she was currently a team member of his.

Lily pursed her lips as she read through the letter. Of course she'd report this to headquarters to see how they felt about a potential war with this agency, but she'd fight to have Gaia with her. She didn't have that many magnificent creatures in her care right now, and didn't want to lose one like Gaia.

After thinking about it for a moment she went to her office, pushed a button and looked at the black screen. Before contacting her boss, she decided to ask Gaia about this organisation first.
Inside Gaia's room, a panel at the wall lit up to let her know she was being called.

RPGC #35 – there's no camp like...

Like what? Camps can be anything and be the setting for any genre. Maybe it'll remind you about a summer vacation, a base camp when mountain climbing, or the home of soldiers during a war. Maybe something else entirely!
Write a story about something taking place at a camp.

"That's where they last were," Benjamin said, walking in that direction. "I don't think they had plans on leaving. And Dia can pretend to do a room search if a nurse enters; she has a staff badge now. Thanks to whathisname. Josh." He still wasn't sure how he felt about that guy; he seemed to know things about Dia and he didn't like it that someone here knew her better than he did. He sighed when he admitted to himself he might be a tad jealous on their shared history while he was just beginning to be a part of her life. That made him wonder when he had started to feel so strongly about being part of Dia's life.
He thought about this as he walked towards Ray's room.

"I thought you'd like it," Vivian said. "Go on then, find your new host."
She thought back to the last time she had done this; her precious niece had been a good target. But she did need some people with actual illnesses too, ever since Simon had died she didn't have anyone to test medication against auditory hallucinations on anymore, and that was a profitable business to be in. She sat down at her computer to see if she could get her hands on a few more patients.
Agent Morrison acknowledged her warning with a nod of his head. That was his experience as well. But, they were also more reckless which worked in their advantage again. He sneaked further around their previous base, the lights all out. A pity, he had liked this location. But, the boss had ordered it and that was that.
It was silent, except for some nocturnal animals that had come out of hiding and taken over the territory from the daytime critters. So far it didn't sound like there were more vampires, but Morrison knew better than to let down his guard.

Ethan and Barrow were walking on the other side of the mansion, likewise on alert as they scouted the area. Suddenly Ethan fell his body warm up, and a bit of pressure. As if someone was hugging him. He looked around, there was nothing here. Ghost? No, that couldn't be it. Ben had always said ghosts were intangible; a creature that could flow through walls would flow through a human body as well, and that would feel cold instead of warm.
It was a pleasant feeling though, he smiled a bit as he continued to walk.

Lily let out an exasperated sigh when the intern mention the siren boy. "Fine," she said as she flipped through the paperwork. "I'll start doing some tests tomorrow. Do some bloodwork, see how long he can stay on dry land before needing water." She'd enjoy working with a siren much more if it'd be female, but this was all she had.
She put the paperwork to the side to take over the folder. "Leave now, we'll begin tests after all the creatures are fed." She waited a moment before the intern left and then put down the folder and opened the letter.
Busy April is done, I have more time for RP's again \o/
Kim gently held the new Mew and wrapped her tail around it. Newly hatched Pokémon were cute, and she adored this little fellow. "When you're ready, we'll go taste some berries and see what flavour you like best~"

Michael took a moment to just enjoy having Niccia with him, and with things settling down at the party he was starting to relax more. But Nethan's message stayed in the back of his head. Eventually he turned to Niccia "It looks like the new Mew is in good paws," he said, watching Kim for a moment. "Shall we go see Necrozoma?"

"Very interesting," Andy commented. "He seems to have recovered from whatever that was, and he told me I had to be nice to you." He glanced in the direction of where necrozoma had appeared. "Whatever was going on down there seems to have cooled down as well. You Legendary Pokepeople sure know how to make an exciting party!"

Harcu nodded. "Indeed, let's go. Father doesn't look to be otherwise engaged at the moment." He let out a gentle sigh. "I just hope he won't let his pride speak and say he doesn't need it. We can't exactly force him to accept it."
He started walking towards their father; this was something he didn't want to wait for the right opportunity to bring up. The right opportunity was right now.

"I see," Tanter said. "I'm sure father would know. I assume he created her like he created all of us." He stroke his moustache. "I admit I'm curious about her..." A faint smile broke through, "but it worries me that you, out of all of us legendaries, thinks she didn't sound too nice."
Ï'll definitely come and ask you about that radio with white noise once," Benjamin said. "Right now I don't need it. But the art session, I'd like to do that. I like drawing."
While it didn't feel right not knowing what time it was, he wasn't sure he wanted to run to Josh every time he wanted to know. "Let's check on Ray's ex-spirits first."

Vivian smiled when she saw the orb appear. "I have the perfect host for you," she said, opening a small vial of blood and pouring it into a bowl. Of course Benjamin had thought it was to check his blood for vitamin levels and such. Those results were easily falsified. She placed the bowl in the white circle. "This is his blood, you'll find him."
Agent Morrison examined the vampire. He wanted to kill it, but maybe Harriet had a point. They had a whole facility dedicated to examining humanlike creatures, demons and monsters after all. Maybe he could send it there, so they could find a cure against vampirism. Like that boy that had been a vampire for only a couple of days. He sighed, lifted his gun and fired at its head.
"It's more humane to end it now," he stated, with a hint of regret in his voice. "Maybe the next one, when the change happened more recent."
Did he really want to subject this person to painful tests, or observation to see when the change was irreversible? To save others, maybe he should have, but as long as their scientists didn't even have a theoretical idea to reverse this, he didn't feel comfortable sending them test subjects.
"Let's go."

Ethan looked at the dead vampire for a moment, before turning his back on it and examining the surroundings again. Was it only this one here?
Agent Barrow joined him and scouted the area with thermal imaging, but couldn't see more of them.
"Let's continue in this direction," he said. "We'll meet the others at the back of the base.
