Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

After Arceus and Necrozoma, is there more you want to let happen at the party?
"Gatherings like this can be boring,' Michael agreed. "I'm getting a bit bored as well. If you want we can play a game, I've got some cards in my backpack we could do something fun with. Or I can show you what Pokémon I've come across on my Pokédex."
He wanted to find something to keep Eros occupied, much like his uncle had done for him when he was younger and bored at grown-up parties.

Andy thought about what he heard. "If Darkrai changed, something happened to make him change," he said. "It will be interesting to figure out what that was." He had the perfect Pokémon to ask, but not now. There was a party going on after all. "Thank you for this, I will make sure Michael gets it." He glanced over his shoulder. "He seems preoccupied with a new Pokémon friend, so probably not now."

Harcu watched it. "Father doesn't seem very possessive of his offspring. At the very least doesn't object to him mingling with a human. I'm not sure if that is a good sign or not. I wouldn't let my offspring get close to a trainer." He shrugged. "It'll be interesting to see what happens." He gave Gavin a pat on the shoulder. "If you're in my area, come visit." After that he walked off to have a chat with some of the other legendaries he hadn't spoken to yet.

Kim wouldn't dream of leaving Andy, even for the cute Mew she had here, but it was flattering a Legendary Pokémon felt she'd make a good guardian. "Thank you," she said, unsure what else she could say in response to the praise she received.
She looked around to see where the others were, and found Andy and Frosiien talking to another Legendary Pokémon, and her team-members were at the buffet watching Bear stuff his face with food.

No-one spoke during the elevator ride down. Once it stopped the doors opened, and the nurse led Ray down a concrete corridor and through some doors. The room they entered was bright white; there was a hospital bed with straps and a medicine cart like the ones they used in the rest of the asylum "Here is a bed, you look tired," she spoke, as she nodded to the guards that they could leave.

Benjamin watched the butterfly disappear and when he heard a gentle cough behind him he slowly faced Marc.
"You need to report to the head nurse," Marc said.
"I'm not going." Benjamin stepped back from him. "You can't make me."
"I don't want to make you, but if you don't go..."
Benjamin turned around and walked away. This was bad, if she had sent nurses to get him. The last time he had taken something, he had been so dazed he had been useless. He didn't want that again.
"What do we do now?" Mike asked. "We still have some time to kill."

They decided to hang around town for a bit to get their thoughts straight and just enjoy the city as it was waking up. It was probably the last time today they could feel like regular people, something they hadn't felt like often since they had joined the agency. Mike also called Mitch to ask how things had gone the previous night and promised the professional assassin to send a text when they would go to the meeting and a text when it was over - Mitch told him he'd come and check on them if it took too long.

Eventually it was time for their meeting, and they went to the place it would take place. Benjamin entered first, Mike followed behind, sending the text he had promised to send.
If you could pick any actor/actress from any decade to play your character, who would you pick?

I'm picking Hugo Weaving for Zigmund. He's good behind a mask.

One person that came to mind was Renee O'Connor who played Gabrielle in Xena the warrior princess.

Also, Fenna be like "Water? You may have had some victories over the Dutch, but we have taken more land from you than you have from us."

After kicking Zigmund with her boots, Fenna landed on the ground, but not how she had anticipated. She had landed many times on sand after jumping with a long stick, but colliding with something before landing was something she had never done before and she needed a moment to get a firm footing. As she turned to face the ninja, he aimed a roundhouse kick at her and she stumbled back in an attempt to avoid being hit, falling down in the process.

She got up as quickly as she could and watched him liquefy and slide away. "Water?" She spat as she squinted at him. "I'll dike you up and turn you into a fucking polder!"

There was no way she would let some body of water win. Before she could move in for an attack, Lilliana got stabbed and she shouted out the mage's name. The shock of seeing one of them being impaled by a sword made her lower the tip of her weapon and stare as the realization they could actually get injured and die fully sank in. Moments later lightning erupted. Everything happened so fast.

Then she heard James. Her falcon, right, she could carry the cube. First she located her falcon, then tried to locate the cube she wanted the falcon to grab. Would her falcon understand a command in her language? How could she let the falcon know the exact object that needed to be taken wawy? It took time to train birds of prey. Pointing to Lilliana could mean anything, and be mistaken for a command to attack.

Before she could figure out the exact order she would give, Clive died and his lifeless body was used as a throwing weapon against Zell. She wanted to shout something, but words got stuck in her throat. She had fought together with Clive, and talked with him during the travel. She had considered him a friend. That damned body of water, who now also had the cube. The sting of grief turned to anger. There was no way she would let him get away with it. Thankfully Adam's plants made him drop the cube. Now it was up for grabs and she got ready to send her falcon to retrieve it when a roar made her freeze. What the hell was that?

The roots moved the incapacitated Lillina out of its way, but the cube remained between the legs of some kind of centaur from hell. A strike came down, but her falcon flew in to grab the arm with her talons. It wouldn't stop the attack, just delay it for a second as the beast pulled his arm free, long enough for Fenna to duck and roll under the large beast to grab the cube before it was trampled and get to the other side of the beast. She threw it up for her falcon to grab and shouted "Go!" pointing away from the fight, before turning and readying her spear so she could assist Joji taking it out.
Posting deadline for this round is Tuesday, right? I can still post tomorrow?
I've been thinking about what to post, but didn't really have the opportunity to sit down and write it out yet.
@Zmija Sebastian As a reminder, votes/feedback can also happen through PM and there is a point system, so the highest number of votes in this thread may not be the actual winner.

Low turn-up for votes this round, but there was a vote.
This means the final points are:
  • Training the village: 6 points
  • The Mysterious Mayor: 4 points
  • Misfits there, Oafs here: 3 points

That means "Training the village" is the winner for this round. Congratulations @BrokenPromise

I will be taking the feedback into account for the next round of this contest.

Fenna coughed, tried to inhale air only to take in more gas and coughed again. She stepped back, futilely trying to wave away the gas in front of her as she stumbled back. Suddenly the beast had her spear between her jaws and she felt herself being lifted, swung around and suddenly she was airborne. She collided with someone and took whoever it was down with her. Her chest ached from the coughing, the rest of her body from the collision and the force with which she hit the ground.

Fresh air. She took in a breath and coughed so hard she almost threw up as she slowly rolled to a side. She lifted her head to MacKensie when she asked if she was okay and shook her head. Mackensie was on her feet first, Fenna followed slowly. Her legs trembled and she rubbed her elbow as made a step towards her spear that lay on the ground. Thankfully it was still in one piece. She looked up just in time to see the female wolfcreature be smacked into the gorge and she sighed in relief.

Then she heard the voice and spun on her feet to see someone dressed in metal, someone who killed the big wolf with a single strike of his blade. For a moment her body didn't move, all she could do was stare at it happen.

MacKensie's warning prompted her to action. The spear in her hand turned so the end faced to the ground. She ran a few paces before planting it between the rocks and used it quickly to cover the distance between herself, the wizard and the attacker, to attack from above. It scared her to see her fellow ranger be taken out so easily, but she had to try something. Hopefully, it would at least distract the enemy enough for the others to try and help Lilliana.

The falcon flew up to built-up speed and dove towards Zigmund and Lilliana as she noticed her master do the same.

Uh oh, is that boss battle music I hear in the background?
